I attended a lovely wedding today and was very impressed with how warm and professional the staff were; nothing was too much trouble, they’re a credit to the reputation of the hotel.

We got married here at the weekend and all was lovely! Jenny was amazing and dealt with us all the way through and the food was beautiful on the day! The only downfall was the build up. One person would say one thing and and then another would say the complete opposite. The best man had the phone slammed down on him and there seemed to be an extra cost with things that wasn’t made aware to us when we booked I. E moving the chairs from the hotel to the barn was a compulsory £100 which we wasn’t made aware of until a couple of weeks before the wedding. Like I say the day was great but the lack of communication a few months prior was very stressful.

Most definitely a beautiful setting and brilliant staff … I attended here 4/8/22 and was greeted with a friendly attitude and was made welcome to set up a sweet cart and table plan also table names and numbers … Even my partner said this is stunning 😍

I had our beautiful wedding here! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had THE most amazing day! Paul made sure that the whole process ran smoothly, knew what we were doing and when. All decorations etc were put out as planned. Never felt uncomfortable to ask a question! They checked in with us the right amount of times too! Nothing was an issue for them and they would bend over backwards to make sure that you had the most spectacular time xx I hope not to have to use this venue for a wedding again as I don't plan to have to remarry but I will absolutely recommend to friends and family!

We had the most incredible wedding day at Bartle Hall. It was all absolutely stunningly beautiful, like a fairytale. Everything ran so perfectly and the staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Special thank you to Rachel for answering absolutely any questions we had whilst planning the day including being so understanding and patient during postponing the original date. Another special thank you to Hayley and Paul for ensuring our day ran smoothly, kept us calm throughout and literally couldn’t do enough for us. The best part was that they didn’t treat it as another day at work, they treated it as the most special day of our lives. The food was incredible and we had a lot of comments from our guests to say how delicious it was so a huge thank you to the kitchen team! And a big thank you to Jess and the rest of the bar staff for being so attentive and kind not just to us but to all our guests. The staff at Bartle Hall were really friendly and super helpful. Nothing was too much trouble! They easily catered for my dietary requirements which made me feel really included, where other places can make you feel a burden! Our wedding was on the 04/11/21. We couldn't recommend this venue enough! The day was just perfect from start to finish. Rachel and the team was on hand for every question we had on the lead up to the wedding. Hayley and Paul did a great job on perfecting every little detail on the day, nothing was to much trouble for any of the team. I want to especially thank Paul for going above and beyond in calming my nerves before the doors to the ceremony room opened, he helped me so much. The food was excellent, every course was just amazing our guests were extremely impressed by it all. We want to give a big shout out to the severs and bar staff that were with us to the early hours, you're a credit to the hotel, John, Maisie, Mason, Matt, Poppy and the dancing queen Jess sorry if I missed anyone. We had our wedding here on 27.09.21 and also stayed at thicket Lodge the night before. It was all so perfect after waiting a year extra due to covid. It was so beautiful and seamless. The food was excellent and the staff were fantastic especially Hayley who made sure everything was perfect. Lots of great comments from family and friends about such a beautiful venue and beautiful day. Will be back for afternoon tea or a stay over as we absolutely love Bartle and the people who work there.

Our wedding on 09/07/21 at Bartle Hall was everything we had wished for and more!
The venue and grounds are beautiful and it was even better that we could get married outside.

Fantastic venue, wonderful staff and beautiful grounds along with the best food. My daughter and son in law decided on Bartle Hall for her wedding venue last weekend, and what an amazing day it was, everything from the staff during the build up when the brides family stayed in the woodland lodge, to the night reception, it was incredible and it couldn't have been better. Staff were fantastic and made my daughter's and son in laws special day the stuff of dreams and so memorable. Would recommend to anyone, they couldn't have picked a better venue. X.

Stayed in the Thicket lodge over the weekend it was absolutely beautiful! Could not recommend this place enough 😍the complimentary hamper was perfect! gutted we didn’t book for longer will defiantly return 🙌🏼 x.

We had the most beautiful Christmas lunch yesterday. The make-away lunch was such a treat and made our day relaxed and able to enjoy family time instead of cooking. The lunch was packaged beautifully with a smart branded cool bag and all instructions and ingredients clearly labeled which was really important as we have a nut allergy. I wish we’d taken more pictures of the lunch. Highly recommend. We have desert to enjoy today as we were to full yesterday!

Lovely place to stay made welcome stayed in cottage 4 poster bed cottage had all facilities and very comfortable across yard to hotel for breakfast and really excellent variety avalible. Lovely helpful staff will return.

We had our wedding at Bartle Hall on the 15th December 2019 and it was incredible! The venue looked stunning and all the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. They helped to make our day perfect and I honestly cannot recommend them enough! I just wish that we could do it all again! ❤

Certain bar management rude exploiting the younger staff members had to brush broken glass off the floor myself and dont even get me started on the drinks £24 for 2 double gin and tonics! it costs at present £18 quid for a litre bottle of gin. You know at least dick turpin. Wore a mask!

We had our wedding day on the 7th June, wow what can I say! From the moment we booked to the actual wedding day the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and very organised throughout! The food was amazing and all diet requirements were catered for from the canapés, wedding breakfast, evening food & breakfast in the morning everything was perfect! We knew as soon as we saw this stunning venue that we had to get married here. We could not of picked a better venue …for our special day! We had our wedding reception here on Friday, absolutely stunning venue! We had our wedding breakfast in the beautiful balmoral suite. The wedding team are brilliant and always on hand to help with any questions or queries. The team of staff as a whole are outstanding… we had so many compliments about the hosts, food, service, bar staff and bedrooms. Thankyou so much Bartle Hall, our wedding day was even more perfect than we could have imagined. The room set-up was truly perfect, the team included all of our personal requests for the room and it was even more amazing than we imagined! Just been to Bartel Hall for a family wedding and left frustrated. Although we all had a great time it was the staff reaction that put a 1 star into Bartel Hall. Issue 1 There is never enough bar staff on there was only 2 behind the bar except when they have a break leaving one! This is not a one of as the last wedding I attended we had the same issue. Issue 2 This time we stayed over we have a 2 year old so at 11.30 my wife took her to bed. I followed around 12.15 as the bar shut at 12.30. In the main building there was another wedding on no issue with that as I went to the room. However the band playing might as well have been set up at the end of the bed it was ridiculous. I went down stairs as one wedding had to shut down at 12.30 yet the other wedding was still partying. The manager on duty obviously didn’t want to speak to me instead hiding behind their staff saying the music will be on until 1. The daft thing about it I spoke with my brother who was also staying over but after going in his room you could hardly hear any noise. A room that would of been far more suitable for a family, and I’m pretty sure the staff would be well aware of this issue before allocating the rooms. I mentioned this to the staff as we checked out who put the blame on the bride and groome as the pick the room. A great attitude one which made my blood boil. Issue 3 At breakfast there wasn’t enough seats for the wedding party that stayed over in the morning to sit together.

Came here for a wedding, and I can say it was a lovely evening. The bar staff were attentive, and there wasn't a queue for anything. The food (pudding and chips) was really nice. The event was lovely and relaxed, and we had a brilliant time. Am thinking of coming here for a weekend away!

We had both our ceremony and reception of our wedding at Bartle Hall 29th April. I am a very fussy person and customer service was top on my list of priorities. The staff at Bartle hall did not disappoint. All the staff went above and beyond to make every aspect of our day special. The rooms were excellent. The food was Fantastic! A special thank you to Jenny and Georgie who were so attentive through the wedding planning and on the day. Thank you to all the staff at Bartle hall for making our special day truly perfect.

Good but not outstanding food, very well presented. Conservatory dining room very pleasant, but lacking the character that you might expect to be your dining surroundings in this fine looking building.

We went here for a wedding fair. The location is nice and pretty. Found the ceremony room looked a bit tired. The function room is spacious. Not a place I would choose to get married but may suit others.

We had our wedding here on Easter Good Friday, 30th March 2018… We had booked Both the ceremony and wedding breakfast in the Balmoral Suite, I can honestly say it was the most amazing day and I would love to re-live it all again!. The Team at Bartle we’re brilliant, everything was seamless, food tasted Devine and the venue is amazing!. The rooms are really nice, specially the newly refurbished bridal suite we had, The Singleton… The venue setup looked just perfect and t…he turn around was so quick to the wedding breakfast, the grounds are large and plentiful and we got lots of lovely pictures of our day!. The venue were so calm when I rang them to inform them the morning of the wedding that the bridal party would be late as the grooms wedding car got stuck on the M6 due to a caravan that had crashed, and couldn’t get back for me “the Bride” in time to get me to the venue, luckily we had a 2nd wedding car, they kindly informed the registrar that I’d be coming in the bridesmaid car with my maids and mum, and they kept me informed of any updates, nothing was too much trouble… even in a moment of panic!. Can’t thank them enough for this!. I highly recommend this venue, for any occasion, Weddings, Christenings, Anniversaries ect ect; Thanks to the Bartle Hall team for making our day so special!.

Lovely venue, attended for a wedding and found staff to be very welcoming and attentive to various needs of the guests while remaining polite and professional. Facilities consist of a nice mix of classic and modern decor whilst gardens and surrounding land are beautifully laid out and maintained.

A good large room which was well set out with a good sized bar area, there was even toys ready for the children to play with, only complaint is the room could have been warmer. In the spacious grounds was a bouncy castle and outdoor play equipment.

Visited Bartle Hall for our 5 year wedding anniversary treat… and it was as beautiful and memorable as it was 5 years ago when we became husband and wife. A gem in the countryside… Nest Restaurant food was excellent.

It is a nice hotel set in its own grounds in Lancashire near the small Lancashire village of Salwick. It is very popular for weddings. Food is of good quality and the loose leaf tea is excellent.

Went to wedding fair as we have booked our wedding at bartle hall. Very useful and allowed us to find local companies to use for parts of the wedding.

Having arrived at Bartle Hall Hotel late Wednesday afternoon for an impromptu meeting with several colleagues, we were advised that the hotel was closed for several days due to renovation work. However, we were invited to use the public bar area to hold our meeting and the manager was most helpful and couldn’t do enough to assist us. He cordially provided tea and coffee compliments of the hotel and asked us to make ourselves at home and stay as long as necessary. Excellent service and a pleasant experience despite the builders working in the upstairs rooms. Mr G Virdee Director Swillbrook House.

Attended a wedding at this venue and it was absolutely amazing. All the staff were brilliant and the rooms were superb! Excellent experience all round and I'm sure I can speak on behalf of all the other guests that stayed there too.

A nice hotel with a restaurant and bar in a countryside location. Plenty of free parking. I would recommend the tea. The tea is loose leaf, not tea bags.

We attended a wedding at the hall but did not have rooms booked. The venue was comfortable and the staff very friendly. The drinks seemed at bit pricey, but overall a good place to have a wedding.

Simply gorgeous. They do Tastecard. I adore scotch eggs and baby, this was the top of the mountain! I didn't want it to end. Yes. The servings are smaller. But with somewhere like this you eat a more 'rounded' meal. You have bread whilst you wait with butter and sea salt. Then starters arrive. Then mains — I think you do need sides to make it a more full meal. We would have had dessert but ha to get going. I'd have had a cheeseboard n all! :) We will be back. Please go! It's a beautiful place to be in too.

Went to a wedding there, the venue and staff were excellent, the only downside was the choice of lagers on tap, Estrella damm and some other eastern European pizzel… Other than that, I would highly recommend the place.

We attended a wedding reception in one of the private suites. The venue was beautifully decorated and the buffet was delicious. Considering how up market and picturesque the location is, the bar prices were fairly reasonable. Overall I was very impressed.

Attended for Sweat and Giggles fitness website launch. It was a brilliant event, the venue was stunning, staff were helpful and friendly. We struggled to find someone to help us at the bar a couple of times but as they had other events on at the time that was understandable. Would visit again and would use them to host an event too.

I attended a Wedding at Bartle Hall. The venue was lovely and has beautiful grounds and garden. The service at Bartle Hall was good but the reason I have rated this as 4 stars and not 5 is it could have been better. The canepes were a bit slow and we didn't have any drinks for most of the Wedding speeches. The starter and the dessert were lovely (camembert and chocolate torte) but the vegetarian main was not great (roasted vegetables and a crumpet?! ). The staff were very nice and helpful and we had a lovely time.

Got married here 1/04/17, had an absolutely amazing day, everything ran smoothly, the venue is beautiful and staff friendly. Just one or two things to mention, the flowers were not moved to the top table as requested prior to the wedding. Quite a few guests have mentioned the desserts from the wedding breakfast were still on the tables at 10pm at night despite a few people asking for them to be cleared earlier in the evening. Tables were also overflowing with empty glasses. The vegetarian option was embarrassing compared to the lovely meal everyone else had. A crumpet wasn't enough. There was no veg/ potatoes accompanying it leaving the vegetarians still hungry, it was inconsistent in comparison to the other meal. Some of the bedrooms need some maintenance, and some guests felt their room was poor for the price they paid. Despite these glitches we had a fabulous day. We had a lovely meal the night before. The staff were all helpful and made us all feel calm and relaxed. If it wasn't for these issues we wouldn't hesitate to give 5 stars. Thank you for helping us to have a wonderful day/evening and for all the staff that helped make it run smoothly.

Excellent venue for a wedding. The staff were nice although the bar was understaffed considering the number of people the venue can hold.

States two nights, location was great, very comfy and decently sized rooms. Breakfast was nice. There's a pub 2 mins walk from there which did a great dinner. Only bad thing was the massive fluctuations in shower temperature (going from freezing my balls off to blistering my skin in seconds! ). Wifi didn't seem to work, or was just slower than dialup powered by a dying hamster. Really nice place though. Definitely staying there again next time I need a place to stay in that area.

I attended for a wedding and subsequently stayed overnight. The decoration and organisation of the day was faultless. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Overall a lovely setting for a brilliant day.
