Brilliant stay over great food from start to finish only thing I have to complain about was the bubbles in the jacuzzi was far to big.

Absolutely fabulous. Welcomed by a roaring fire and friendly staff.
Given clear guidelines about wearing masks and Covid measures in place. Distancing in dining areas and lounge were much more than two metres and we felt relaxed and safe.
our room was spotless with modern features around a traditional feel and everything working. The water was piping hot and the bed was so comfy I didn’t want to leave it behind.
The staff were fabulous and could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. An ice bucket and glasses provided for our room to ensure we could relax getting ready.
Food was delicious well presented and perfectly timed.

Never been here before my first time staying over and wow it so beautiful everything from the room to the hotel itself the food was great and even with covid 19 it was very well managed staff was great too and helpful would definitely come back and already looking at dates.

1st visit here. We had afternoon tea for my daughters birthday yesterday was lovely. We sat outside in the courtyard. The food was great and the service was excellent. Freat price too Will definitely be back thanks.

We have our wedding booked here for 7th May 2020.
Due to the awful situation at the minute we have had to postpone it to later in the year and the guys from here have been brilliant.
They've rearranged our new day with no trouble at all, they couldn't have been more helpful and made a time that has been incredibly upsetting ajr stressful, alot easier. So glad we picked here to have our wedding!

Would recommend the afternoon tea at The Whitehall Hotel. Brought my wife for Valentines Day, was relaxing and great food.

Myself and Luke had our wedding day here this weekend 10/11/19 and we couldn't have had a better day. Everyone has been so helpful and friendly and the hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous. From the time when we booked my daughters wedding everything was handled very professionally and yesterday we had a fantastic day, the venue is superb, the whole day was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended, the wedding breakfast was excellent and all your staff did a Brilliant job ensuring that the day went without a hitch, I would recommend to anyone looking for an amazing venue for a wedding visit the Whitehall you won't be disappointed.

A lovely small upscale hotel with all the character and charm you would expect from an established English Inn. Beautifully maintained and ornate main building with a contemporary and bright addition that houses the restaurant and event space. Secluded and quiet location within easy downhill walking distance to the town centre. Also on the main bus line between Blackburn and Bolton. I've been very pleased with my stay and the staff have been truly wonderful, helpful and welcoming.

Very comfortable and clean room, the hotel is of a very good standard in every way.

Held our daughters Baptism celebration here at weekend and it was fantastic. Room looked beautiful, food was delicious and the team couldn't do enough to help us.

My wife and I got married here at the weekend and had the best day. Absolutely fantastic and all the guest have commented on how great a time they had. Dave, Adam and the team was immense throughout the day and I cannot thank them enough. I would 100% recommended this fabulous venue.

We got married here on Sunday and to say it was perfect feels like an understatement! Dave, Adam and their fabulous team looked after us exceptionally well from the minute we arrived until the minute we left! The food was outstanding and the entertainment was amazing. I would recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone — thank you for making my day so special wish we could do it all again!

We had our wedding at the Whitehall Hotel on the 18th August 2018, everything was simply perfect even in the lead up to the wedding with my endless questions. The day was well lead and big thanks to Dave and Claire for making sure everything was perfect especially Dave for doing all the little things pretty sure I shouted “Dave” about 20 times on the morning of the wedding. The food was fantastic, even got Yorkshire puddings as requested and the accommodation was also lovely. So all in all well done and Thankyou xx.

Went to book our wedding and was made to feel so welcome. Lovely friendly people and a beautiful place. From when we arrived on the 22nd August 2018, we were made to feel like no problem was too big. All dresses and anything of importance was taken straight up to the bridal suite, taking that pressure off us. The morning of my wedding we had the most amazing breakfast which was served by Neil the manager, this was a lovely personal touch. Special thank you to Anita who in the midst of my meltdown before walking down the aisle, took me to one side and said some beautiful words which put me at ease and then demanded that the registrar gave me five minutes to have a fag and calm down. Thank you also for making my dress look amazing at the back at all times. Neil saved the day a few times with emergency cigarettes when they were much needed. Massive shout out to the chef/s as the food was spot on and every single guest commented on how good the beef was, even the kids enjoyed it. Very good turnaround of the room after setting up for the evening after the food, as there had been delay beforehand. Our wedding was magical from start to finish. Everybody left with a smile. We hope you enjoyed us having it at your hotel as much as we enjoyed the privilege of being married there. Everything was perfect, thank you for an experience none of us will ever forget.

Very clean warm and welcoming … with stunning modern and Victorian rooms … manager very professional and helpful … all we can say is wow we found our perfect wedding venue.

We got married here on 1st July 2018… everything was just perfect. Dave and staff went out of their way to make everything run smoothly. Nothing is too much trouble.

Me and my husband got married here on 20th July. Such a lovely hotel and the staff were amazing they made sure everything went well. Food was amazing.

We had our beautiful, amazing wedding at The Whitehall. Everything was perfect from visiting the hotel for the first time, booking our wedding, visiting in between and the big day. David and Zack on our big day couldn’t do enough for us. Zack even sorted us a wedding cake after a disaster with ours and David is always at the end of the phone to help with anything and everything. I would recommend this venue for an intimate, personal and special day. We honestly can’t thank you enough for our wedding day. We’d do anything to do it all again, exactly how it was. Brilliant venue for a wedding. Only criticism would be that the bar is small and only allows 2 workers to serve which did result in queues on the evening we were there.

Not the easiest place to find. Sat nav post code took us to the wrong side of the hotel. Looks quite old and dated inside. Lager was warm so not impressed.

A lovely old hotel with lots of character in the main building. The food is of a good standard, however the cleanliness, quality and condition of the rooms and furniture could be improved. Most rooms have a bath, but only some have a bath and shower. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Impeccable food and service will be booking again for next year.

Lovely Christmas dinner served to a party of over 80. Would have given 5 stars but for the Brussels and parsnips which were only approaching al dente.

We got there past 8 in the evening, chef had moved to other kitchen to prepare for an event the day after, the extremely helpful evening receptionist asked if we wanted food and got the chef to go back in the kitchen to cook me and my boyfriend tea. This chef was more than happy to cook us food and oh my it was OUT OF THIS WORLD! we visited for tea for the 3 nights we was there and not once did the quality of the food or service drop. The hotel was modern, loved the complimentary KitKat in the room too. Was very clean and staff were sooooooo helpful and polite. They even made recommendations of places to visit in the local area and places to eat if you didn't want to eat at the hotel. The food was the best I have ever eaten. The only slight problem was the squeaky bed even when you rolled over it squeaked, however, this was not a problem and we DEFINITELY be returning! It's in a good location if you like walking too!

Wow. Very very impressive. Two contrasts the hotel elegant and rich in decor the bar and restaurant classy and modern both sit so well together. The food and service is second to none. Probably one of my favourite meals ever. This will certainly be a regular night away stay for myself and my husband. Highly recommend to anyone. Thank you to all the attentive staff.

Attended a wedding reception & didn't stay over so can't comment on rooms etc but staff very friendly and welcoming.

Just want to say a huge thank you to everyone at the Whitehall, especially Dave, Anita & Jose, for making our wedding day so special. It was literally perfect from start to finish and we couldnt have asked for anything more. Any request that we had was fulfilled with no issues, including the Yorkshire puddings we wanted with the main lol! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was amazing we had so many people commenting on it, and the venue itself is just perfect for your special day. I had alot of decor for the rooms and tables but everything was just set out exactly as I had imagined it. Everything looked perfect. We would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone looking for that special place for their big day. I wouldn't have changed a thing about it so thank you all for making it so perfect for us. Had our wedding here on Friday 30th June it was totally amazing perfect venue perfect staff whenever we had any concerns or problems communication was impeccable … so heartfelt when the staff were as invested in our special day as we was nothing was too much trouble. I would definately recommend this hotel for any occasion as the food was amazing everyone complimented on it. The small touches are what makes the day and a surprise message and brandy on the best mans dessert plate are what make this place extra special. We absolutely loved our day and wish we could do it all over again. Thanks Dave Anita Neil and all the waiters/waitresses and chefs you truly are an amazing team all our thanks and love from Mr &Mrs Hanson and family xxxx.

We married in May this year at the Whitehall. Neil, David and staff were amazing and couldnt do enough for us. The food was beautiful both during the wedding breakfast and evening buffet. All we can say about the DJ is WOW! From the build up to the wedding until after was fantastic, magical and memorable.
Only negative feedback is a waiter setting fire to one of the table centre arrangements, a female member of staff telling me I had to leave the room as the registrar was ready to leave. (This wasnt true). David had told me I had to stay in the room until he came for me. This was very upsetting for me and spoilt the start of the ceremony. Thirdly 2 beatiful flower stands went missing! The same female was very rude to my husband however David to the rescue, he found the stands and kindly returned them to us.
The incidents wont stop us from returning to the Whitehall.

Great little place tucked away which means it's lovely & peaceful. Stylish & clean on the inside, with character from the outside. All the staff were great. Can't fault it!

I've stayed here and ate here too! its probably one of the best hotels in the area, we always dine when visiting teh area at MJ's and the food is second to none. If I could give it 50 starts I would.

On business in Blackburn earlier this month and unable to get in my usual hotel due to the UEFA final in Manchester! Lucky for me as I was referred by a friend who has stayed at the Whitehall for several years. The service was exceptional and the food is simply outstanding. My only advers comment would be the absence of leisure facilities, however, not a major problem being on a short stay. Thanks to Ryan who was really helpful in sorting out my wi fy access.
