Awesome hotel great atmosphere from the meet and greet to the breakfast. Nice people running the spot. Basic rooms but clean and tidy.

The worst experience ever had to move to another guest house I am still waiting for a refund for the remote control.

Awful awful place. Rooms scruffy and dirty. Bathroom full of mould and broken fittings. Whole place smells of cooking fat and cigarettes. Avoid this place.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. The owners are very friendly, but the room was cold at night. There where 4 of us sharing a room for 2 nights, and we have stayed here numorus times in the past but what was once a buzzing hotel seams to have lost it's sole. But I think when we found a tube of eyelashes glue in our bed when non of us use it kinda toppled us over the edge, after the shower had low power, and only given 1 towel each that where only changed on the second night at our request. Plus with 4 of us in a self catering room you would at least expect the bin to be changed as we had bagged everything up but this did not happen. I hope that the hotel gets back to the good place it used to be, but after staying here for over 10 years I don't think we will be back. Such a shame.

Lovely welcoming staff, Dillon is lovely and his mum is fabulous, clean room, nice breakfast and warm. And friendly deffo stay here again stayed numerous times love the place love to you all see u soon scouse leah x.

Stay few months ago breakfast great clean freindly would not hesitate to stay again.

Had a great weekend here from the 3rd to the 5th of March. Dylan and his mum where very warm and friendly… my partner and I will definitely be back for another stay! The room was very spacious and clean and the breakfast was lovely. Looking forward to another weekend soon. Highly recommend candy's hotel to others.

So-so experience, we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were no frills, found the beds slightly uncomfortable, a little cold and could have done with some updating in the bathroom. We didn't eat breakfast there, the staff are very friendly but we had a bit of trouble with parking. NO PARKING FACILITIES HERE if you are driving then I would recommend staying elsewhere. Other b&b owners along the way are sensitive over their turf. There are no signs whatsoever and they are easily upset. Booked a couple of times here and generally enjoyed it. Okay for a night or two but wouldn't book any longer.

Nice hotel but could do with bigger rooms but overall its been ok.

I have stopped at this b&b a number of times. The staff are very friendly and the breakfasts are the best I have ever had at a b&b. Would recommend this b&b to everyone.

The location is gr8 if you arive by train. And is 15 mins walk from North pier. The hotel have very nice decor in main bar area and is finished to a very high standard but sadly this is where it finishers. Our room was sadly not to the same stranded and not as clean as we would have liked. The bar closed early when promised to stay open till 12.

If you are not bothered about customer service, hot water or the style of room you are staying in, then you will be ok staying here, personally without naming other local businesses there are better options to choose from.
