Excellent takeaway roast dinner last Sunday. We had roast pork and roast beef, vegetables and the gravy was lovely. The dinners were beautifully cooked and presented. We ordered puddings which were delicious too. Pick up was easy and on time, easy to book, a real treat during winter lockdown. Highly recommended, thank you!

We had takeaway roast from here on Sunday (24th Jan) and it was so good. Great value for money as there was plenty of everything and the quality was still amazing. Came on time for our booked slot so no waiting around.

We stayed here 2 nights for my sons wedding reception. The team were amazing and we felt very safe. The food was excellent and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The honeymoon suite was huge with four poster bed. I would stay here again! It was quiet and even though covid rules meant a small wedding and small reception — the staff couldn’t do enough for the bridal party!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch yesterday, our 8 month old especially liked the potatoes! The food was amazing as always and the staff were fab, even finding a little knife and fork for Jack. Thank you!

Stayed on October 12th for my father in laws 80th birthday. He lives in the village and this is the first time we actually stayed in a room as we had family come with us. We found the staff were very nice helpful and polite. The food was amazing we all enjoyed everything we ordered. I would stay again without a doubt. My stay was by far the best. Highly recommend the old bull inn. Thank you so much for everything you did for the peachey family and for helping us to deliver a surprise birthday for David I know we shocked him xx.

This is the second time I’ve visited with my mum and dad to to grab some lunch. My dad is quite fussy and doesn’t like many places but we have a winner! Both meals we have had have been delicious and of good quality and portion size We will be back! :)

The staff were wonderful very attentive, we had a shower issue which they corrected immediately would stay there again.

After walking out of the jolly postie because of such bad service the old bull inn accommodated us. The food was excellent and the service was spot on. Really lovely meal and well worth the money. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was our second visit today we visited about a year and a half ago, very disappointed today the roast potatoes you needed a steak knife to cut the bottom of them as they were so hard 1 thin slice of turkey and beef was bleeding plus it was not hot the stuffing was mushy and not at all nice. So not a good meal today, so not worth the money today after sitting there waiting for 20 minutes for ham? We Didn't have any. We left feeling very disappointed.

We had the great pleasure of having our wedding reception here this weekend 24/8/18. And it was amazing. Nicky and Ben helped with everything up To the day and then Crystal and the staff on the bar were amazing too. They couldn’t have helped or been more accommodating! The food was amazing from the starters to the main course of 2 meat roast dinners. Filling and always tasting delicious. Amazing amount of food for the value! The oak room in which we used for the wedding was perfect size of what we needed. Very wide selection of alcohol behind the bar. We stayed the night in the “bridal suite” which was massive! Comfy and clean sheets was perfect for the few hours sleep we had! The team downstairs were adhering to moving the times of breakfast for the amount of guests who had stayed over that night! We have felt welcome and not a bother to the team at the old bull! Very polite staff and people!

Best Hotel in Royston. Charming hotel. We ate the braised beef which was wonderful and a nice selection of beer. Two room apartment was great and real value money. Lovely breakfast, this is a great pub hotel to stay in with very friendly staff.

Mid-May-2018 we dined, stayed one night, and breakfasted at the Old Bull. Reception was a bit indifferent — I wondered how many people actually lodge there. The location is good for visiting IWM Duxford. Be aware that finding the parking space is idiosyncratic. The atmosphere was very nice, but we didn't expect noise from the bar and especially the parking lot to impact the room as much as it did. It was somewhat raucous until a bit after 10p on a weekday night. Both the dinner and breakfast were adequate,. But nothing stellar.

Very nice staff but room needed attention. Bed side light broken, no hot water evening and morning. Excellent breakfast.

Late booking whilst at local farming event. Appartment was really fantastic and very good value. Busy bar and restaurant with nice atmosphere and decent food. Poor selection of Scotch.

Lovely venue. Good for meetings and nice lunch laid on.

My family stayed in the appartmant a very short walk away from the bull it was fantastic even had a dishwasher how cool is that my sister stayed in main building was equally impressed breakfast was an absolute treat and plenty of it my great grandkids loved the whole thing, staff at all levels were a genuine pleasure no false smiles good buzz around the whole place def go back { if you cannot sleep on those comfy mattresses go see your doctor youve got problems.

I love it here — whether it's the expertly poured Guinness or the wonderfully huge salads. The inside is generally filled with a more mature crowd and, as such, its a nice place to go to catch up with friends as it isn't too loud to chat.

Was the DJ at a 40th birthday party. The staff at the old bill were very helpful (even after I set the fire alarm off with my smoke machine). A big thanks to you all. Tim.

Really disappointed in the room, £90 for postage sized stamp of a room and it had mold and mildrew in the shower. The breakfast looked nice but I was not feeling well enough eat. Wouldn’t return x.

Lovely and Cuddly. Wi-Fi in a stained glass lit "great hall"! Not what you'd expect. Highly recommended. Very nice food and really attentive and a good team of folk working there make the visit worthwhile. If you are in this market town on market days. Then parking is tricky. But worth visiting A lovely piece of olde England.

Very warm and friendly welcome, room was warm and the bed was very comfortable. Cannot comment on the dinner, I arrived to late. They keep a very good pint and bar area is not stuffy ie, full of locals giving you the eye! Brekkie is a 8.5 / 10, there's a good selection of cereals and fruit followed by a full English but there was something missing! I am a bit of a Brekkie monster so its more me than the Old Bull offering. Would I go back? Most certainly and I am looking forward to it!

Lovely meal and plentyfull. And nice staff. Would have been 5 star only needed the heating turned up. Sat in bar cold.

Have never seen smaller rooms than here. No place even to move around things. Single bed. Will suggest to enquiry before you plan to stay. TV is smaller just like laptop screen. Single glazed windows so not an option in winter. Won’t advise Location is good and staff is friendly hence 2 stars.

Great place for food. Extensive menu and there's always a specials board. Log fire in the bar area gives it a cosy feel.

Lovely Hotel. Staff were pleasant & Helpful. Rooms were very nice & by far the best shower I've ever used! Breakfast was wonderful & plenty of selection of cereals, jams & drinks etc.

A post xmas catch up with family members. The service was good and helpful. The food was of a good standard. Enjoyable evening.

The food was as good as it always is, the one and only reason for only four stars is it was cold inside the bar area, the fire was not working because of a chimney fault.

The accommodation was of a good quality, although the room I stayed in was cramped. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Overall I would definitely come again.

Beer well kept and a nice guest room; very comfy sofa bed and a quality bathroom. Can't speak for the breakfast though, as I was too hungover!

We had a very nice meal in the large ground floor restaurant which also functions as a public house. It was fairly informal although there were formal dining options which weren't available on the day. It is in a attractive old Georgian? Building. We didn't use the hotel so can't comment.

Lovely afternoon lunch. Service was fairly quick, staff were friendly. It was generally a lovely setting to be in, in the centre of town.

We had a good Sunday carvery lunch, particularly so as we were there at about 12:30 when everything was freshly put out.

A lovely barn to hold wedding reception. 2 rooms interlocking by a corridor which is a bit tight for more than 1 person to go through at a time. There's stairs to enter and another set inside at the end of the small corridor.

The setting is astonishing with many of the original features still intact.
The room was relaxing and super clean.

Food was delicious, good portion size, took really long to arrive due to a faulty ticket machine in the kitchen but they kept us up to date and continued to offer us drinks while we waited.

What a gem of an inn. Staff are all friendly and not just helpful they put theirselves out to help and assist. Food is excellent all freshly prepared. Waited for the first moan about noise at breakfasted sure enough it came! It was a hot night and windows had to be open so what do you expect? This is an INN in the heart of Royston, and on the dot 11pm all was quiet. I cannot understand some people, if you want silence stay in a monastery or an hermetically sealed modern concrete tower. Would recommend to all and will stay again.

A friend had their 30th birthday party there with drinks dancing and fun. Great venue and good times.

Attended Maridian Triathlon Club's Christmas meal. Food was exceedingly good and the service was wonderful. The disco area provided for after meal socialising was warm and spacious. Ample dance space with DJ, and tables, chairs and bar for those who would prefer not to dance. Great night out.

Stayed here on a Wednesday night for a business trip and was pleasantly surprised. Very spacious and beautifully decorated pub. The room was completely fine (and clean), and I did not notice a noise problem as you might expect staying over a pub. Had an evening meal which was enormous and very tasty. Breakfast also top notch. Would definitely come back.

We went to the Old Bull this evening, one of our many visits to this establishment. The food has always been good, but this evening, there seemed to be a change in personnel. The bar staff were different. We ordered our meal, starters were ok, but you couldn't do much wrong with mushrooms. My husband ordered the duck, usually a favourite, but tonight it was overcooked. I ordered the burger with salad, the best I can say is that the lettuce leaves were ok. The new chef obviously has timing issues with his/her cooking. To add insult to injury, the staff are generally very good at checking all is ok, no-one came near or by. When the waitress did finally come over, I explained it was not good, to be fair she could see for herself, the manager did not apologise and sent the waitress over with a £10 refund. Appalling! LEAVING YOUR STAFF TO TAKE THE FLACK IS UNFAIR! Sorry, Ben, we have been fans for years, but the current personnel are not good.
