Absolutely amazing food great atmosphere good service didn’t have to wait long for the food would definitely recommend eating there.

Lovely atmosphere and welcome with great quality food. Weather formal fine dining or relaxed garden dining this pub has something for everyone. Excellent customer service and a warm welcome for our Norfolk terrier. Love this place!

Very friendly welcome. Cozy bar. Dinner was superb, especially the butternut squash risotto! Beautifully decorated room with lots of lovely touches and great attention to detail. Delicious breakfast with good coffee.

Lovely meal last night in this beautiful pub in a gorgeous village. The main menu is on the pricy side but there was an excellent 2 courses for £16 menu which was delicious and a bargain for the quality of the food.

Very nice indeed good food good wine list indifferent beer selection. Service was good too. Lovely setting.

I took my Wife, my Son, his partner and my Grandson for a wonderful lunch last Monday. We sat in the beautiful garden on a sunny day and the food was brilliant! The service was excellent and all round we had a lovely time. I’ve been here a few times now and the welcome, food and service has always been spot on. Just wish it was nearer my home!

Great location and setting food a little sparse for the cost 3 roast potatoes 3 sprigs of green veggies lamb was okay.

We spent five very relaxing days/nights here between Christmas & New Year’s Day. The young team managing the place were very friendly, kind, helpful & enthusiastic. Their service and that from the kitchen, from breakfast onwards throughout each day was excellent. We were made to feel very much at home, as was our dog, who made herself at home. For those of you who didn’t book dinner on New Years’ Eve, you missed a splendid five course treat; real Master Chef dining. Hats off to the chef!

The location is great and the building has a real character. Food was ok but nothing special to justify the premium prices. In summary a good place for a drink but food in my opinion is over priced.

Have been several times and stayed over our wedding weekend. The Fox & Hounds is a quintessential English country village setting, inside and out. Relaxed but with beautiful quirks and attention to detail. Wonderful staff, great food, good beer. The bedrooms are all both equally unique and luxurious. The gardens are especially pleasant in Summertime. Go enjoy.

After waiting for ages for the food we got over salted mains that my mother had to return — a disappointment for the price. My fish had as much hardened butter as fish and portions were pretty small too. Starters were nice and atmosphere is great.

This is fast becoming the best pub in Rutland. On our third visit now to see if we just had a lucky week but can now confirm after tonight's meal that this is the best food and service we have experienced in a long time. The kids menu is adult quality (as is should be), just smaller portions, and a side of sweets with their ice creams went down a treat. Well done Fox and Hounds, I almost don't want to tell anyone so we can guarantee a table every Sunday but you deserve all the praise you get!
