Good food. Good service and good welcome.

Came here today for lunch. It took an hour after ordering for us to finally get eye of a waitress to ask where our mains were, (starters, 1 was the wrong pate and the soup just tasted of spice nothing else! ) she said they were just plating them up, 9 minutes passed and still no food. So we got up and walked out, my dad offered to pay for what we had for starters and our drinks (which we had more of because we waited for so long! ) there was no ‘no sir, you’ve not had your mains this is on us’ instead, £53! Was charged. We got a sandwich in the co op instead. Absolute waste of 2 hours and will not recommend.

Could have stayed there all night. Staff were lovely and the fire was amazing, I was even appointed fire monitor for the night.

So far do good. Decent atmosphere.

Just not great. Run out of quite a lot or dinners house red was rubbish they did change it but I think for sour vinegar… only my opinion 🤔

If you're looking for great food with excellent service in an environment where you feel safe and socially distanced, then I'd highly recommend here. Visited today for our first venture out and it was superb.

Fabulously well organised and felt more "normal" than most these days. Really fantastic service and friendly staff. Thoroughly recommended. Thanks (even if I did get to wear my husband's lager when he spilled it! )

Just had an excellent lunch. Beef was amazing. All meals were good value and service was very attentive.

Had the best evening here last night celebrating my parents wedding anniversary. There was 30 of us and the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and very attentive couldn’t of wished for a better place to have it. I would highly recommend it. Thanks again white hart for having us!

Lovely, warm, Christmassy atmosphere. Ordered drinks and a bowl of chips which came quickly
and was very tasty. Wished it was a bigger bowl!

Visited this establishment twice now (an after football tradition in the making) and both times cannot fault the staff, the food or the beer. Food is amazing, staff are friendly and fast and a wide variety of drinks on offer. Would definitely recommend A.

Lovely setting and glorious rooms. Add friendly, efficient staff, excellent food and great beers and what more could you ask for.? Plenty of parking, a sunny patio and close proximity to the village, all make for a very pleasant stay. Scrumptious breakfast sets you up for a day s exploring (Winchester only twenty minutes! ) Full marks!

Despite the fact we accidentally arrived in town in time for the annual market, and the pub was rammed, service was pretty good. The food was also good. We all had the roast dinner (lamb, beef and chicken) and were all satisfied. The ice-cream was delicious. Would eat here again.

I had lunch on Monday 30th July. Staff are very welcoming, the food was absolutely amazing. Our waitress Emily was very attentive. I cannot recommend The White Hart enough. Definitely worth a visit.

Delicious locally sourced ham hock with egg (also locally sourced) chips and a superb pineapple relish. Two sizes available, I had the smaller portion which was perfect for me. My husband had the larger portion but couldn't quite finish it. Will definitely be returning.

Highly recommend staying here. The bed was so comfy! I loved the decor and quirky details in room, great having coffee machine with added biscotti in tins, the beautiful radio and lamp! We also enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant, with helpful, unpretentious staff. Only thing missing was not being able to have an espresso martini at end of meal (hint, hint) but the dessert menu even tempted me! Great sleep followed by fantastic eggs benedict for breakfast, and charming walk through Stockbridge High Street — we look forward to returning soon.

A rustic 16th century hotel offering English food, beer, wine, garden & plush guestrooms with free Wi-Fi. Wheelchair accessible entrance & parking. Dog friendly. Excellent service from friendly and professional staff. Great atmosphere & very clean toilets. Visited for lunch we really enjoyed our delicious 3 course meals of high quality food. 10/10 we highly recommend.

Lovely pub with polite friendly service and good quality ales. Beer garden is lovely but does get busy when the weather is nice.

Awful chips and when we asked for more got some chips which were not the best I've had. Chicken in the burger was the best part. Have been here before and had a good meal don't know why it was so poor. Wide berth for a while I'm afraid.

Excellent pub/restaurant. The food is high quality well played and delicious, starters, mains and deserts. I'd go back again to try something new. Nice old fashioned style, but book ahead or you may not find a table.

Superb food and drinks! Great service from Matt? Very attentive and friendly even when we asked to move tables because ours was wonky! Such a shame that there was no host but this gentleman certainly made up for that! The manager bought our food and asked if there was anything else. I asked for vinegar which didn't appear until I asked Matt! Top work.

OK food. There was gristle in my calf’s liver and the bacon was very chewy and very little. The mashed potato and the gravy were excellent. Portion size was on the small side of average. Worth a visit if you have a small appetite but not good value for money. The real ales, however, are excellent.

Rustic hotel, part of Fuller's chain clean and good food. Comfortable bed and accommodation at reasonable price. Staff very good and welcoming. Pet friendly a real bonus.

What a wonderful place. An overnight stay with two small children was simply lovely. Looked after so well. Table sorted for us to eat a late meal was no trouble at all, despite it being busy Christmas season. Food fabulous. Lovely childrens menu. Room was one of the loveliest we have stayed in. Warm private and comfortable. Spotlessly clean and a request for an extra towel was sorted with ease and cheer. Breakfast brilliant, plenty of choice. All the staff were helpful and cheerful and Jackie and her husband were great. Just lovely, would definitely stay again. Home from home. Thank you for having us! X.

Stopped in for a lunch and had the lighter option — Fish and Chips. The batter was light and crispy and just the right portion to keep you going. Good range of options and cosy atmosphere.

Met an old friend for a swift half. Atmosphere was very nice and the beer was cold.

Really nice place. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. Good bar, restaurant menu has a good choice, and food was excellent, Stayed for two nights, rooms are smallish but very comfortable. Beds are just right, not to soft or to hard. Good size shower, but bathroom a bit small. The only thing I would say is weird is there are no wardrobes, you hang you clothes up on pegs on the wall, but there is no coat hangers in the rooms? Just doesn’t make sense. We did ask for hangers but they didn’t have any. This is why you only get 4 stars. I would recommend this place to stay, as it’s worth the money and just what you need after a good days fishing. I will be going back to stay myself.

Nice pub, with good atmosphere. Very busy when we turned up (I presume this is a good thing) so we sat outside. Drinks were a little pricey but given the type of pub it seemed fairly reasonable.

Small choice on the dinner menu, however food was lovely. Was fantastic too see a pub/restaurant which encourages people to bring their dogs in! Lovely seeing cute spaniels and labs while we were their! Their Cinnamon and Vanilla ice cream was to die for! Great night.

We both opted for the smaller meal, though even this was rather expensive at £10, I had the fish and chips, the chips were the best I've had and I'm not that much of a chip/potato eater, was enough for my appetite. My husband had the Lasagne, said it was the best he'd ever eaten. The drinks price shocked him. Over £7 for an Americano and a pint of lager. Staff were polite and attentive. We would be back but not regularly at those prices ok for a special occasion and dogs are allowed.

Nice little local pub friendly bar staff that know their stuff and has a decent restaurant too.

Nice pub, been for lunch a few times recently. Well kept beers and a good menu with classic pub grub. Shame they no longer have the delicious local water buffalo meat from Broughton.

My only criticism is that they didn't have a Rosè wine which was sweet. Ha Ho but thats down to my taste only. I've stopped here before and will again. Such a lovely place with nice rooms, great bar and restaurant.

Stayed one night room was very nice and comfortable only down side no plug for the bath! But food really good, had the serlion was excellent and as for the cheesecake mmmm staff really friendly and the whole place really nice and well maintained would def recommend.

Went here for a work celebration. The buffet food provided was good and there was plenty of it, service was reasonably quick and staff were friendly.

Had lunch here, very nice food served by very friendly staff, and my kids could walk about the garden. We will definitely go back there again.

Christmas Day Lunch and overnight stay our 4th Christmas visit My husband and I visited again as we love the White Hart so much, just wish that it was located nearer to where we live. The food, drink and service was excellent, with lots of smiling faces. The atmosphere during the lunch was comfortably splendid. An excellent team headed by Shelley, who all played an important part in making the Christmas festivities an enjoyable experience. Cant wait for 5th visit in 2016!

I met my boyfriend at The White Hart for lunch a couple of weeks ago. I arrived early and decided to have a drink while I waited. I found a really nice sitting area at the back of the pub with big comfy sofas and nice décor. We were planning on just having sandwiches for lunch but ended up having desert too! Good food, good service, and friendly staff.

I ate at the White Hart three times this last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed each meal. This is pub grub at it's best. The pub is lovely, the waiting and bar staff are friendly and courteous and the prices are sensible. There was a small hiccup with the order of my pudding and the staff were most apologetic and removed the cost from my bill by way of apology! The Sunday roasts are especially good and I wouldn't go anywhere else for my Sunday night meal. Well done white hart.

If you like oil, then order the fish and chips. The kids fish and chips is made from trimmings of the smaller portion. Friendly staff and reasonable service though.

It's been a while since I last stayed at the White Hart, however I have previously stayed there many times whilst on business in the area. I have always found the staff and management to be excellent hosts, and the resources of the inn to be considerably better than most other inns of this type. The rooms are warm and comfortable, and the food offered well and truly suited my individual needs and preferences. This was especially important as I usually worked inhospitable hours, and have needed to entertain influential clients on a number of occasions. It is my hope that I can return at some point, not on business, but with my family, something that I am looking forward to.

Took 2 of our very foodie friends from Cornwall here for Sunday lunch, it was already one of our favourites. They are very critical people and loved the place. They enthused about the food and the ale, the waitress was very friendly and helpful. Don't tell too many friends as we won't be able to get a table.

Friendly staff. Always service with a smile. Sunday roast is excellent. All fresh vegetables, not frozen microwaved like some places.
