Lovely family and dog friendly. Huge outdoor space.

Will be visiting again, a great personal service, friendly knowledgeable barman who made us feel like locals even though it was our first visit. Food well cooked, seasoned and presented.

Delicious roast dinner delivered to our door. Excellent value for fun, very happy and stuffed.

Overall very happy! Friendly staff, good tasting food and good value. Definitely will be back for some more yummy food!
Only thing I would say is that our nachos had no guacamole or sour cream on even though the menu said it did.

We booked to have the Christmas meal. The pub was very welcoming and the bar member was very friendly and attentive. My meal was delicious and plenty of it. And pudding was lovely. We had a lovely time.

Absolute farce. Booked an en-suite room for two nights to then discover the following morning it was a shared bathroom! The supposed refurbished room was far from it. The walls may have seen a lick of paint and a newish carpet, but the bathroom was far from fresh (plus then discovering it was shared for campers or something was beyond acceptance, especially as assured at check-in it was private) Also watch the menu. Had to complain about desserts which were nothing like promised. Also, breakfast doesn't start until 9am so if looking to get away early you will do so hungry. My other half treated me to two nights here based on great reviews as it was my birthday and we were having a weekend with friends racing at Thruxton. Despite having pre-paid for two nights we decided to leave after one night and didn't even bother waiting for breakfast. Also. Shower not worth the name, a dribble of water. No plug for bath. No hangers in wardrobe. No bedside lights. Should I go on?

I was tasked with organising a meal for July 2018 for the dining club of which I am a member. I had heard the George was under new management and had been joined by one of the best chef's in the area. After trying it out myself I decided to entrust them with the event. The food, drink and service throughout exceeded expectations and the members were very complimentary about the establishment as well they might have been. There is an atmosphere of enthusiasm and a wish to please. This represents a very impressive turn around in this establishment. I wish them the best of fortune — they deserve it.

The George Inn in Middle Wallop is a local treasure. This gem is under new management and as a result, the rooms have undergone a makeover, so is the pub and restaurant. The local celebrity chef has worked for some of the most prestigious restaurants. He serves up a mouth tingling and finger licking menu which is different each day. The food is cooked with passion and the highest level of skills — you will be wowed each time you visit. The bar is stocked with a very wide range of drinks, the atmosphere is very friendly and inviting, the staff are very polite, courteous and professional, the bed and breakfast rooms are furnished to excellent standards and a huge back garden makes the warm summer nights a real treat. The George Inn is very highly recommended — you must visit!

We were pleasantly surprised by the incredible change to this pub at the heart of the Wallops. The welcoming atmosphere, good menu and friendly staff made this a worthwhile visit. It is so nice to have somewhere close to go when all inspiration to cook has gone! My duck starter, followed by scallops was delicious. We are looking forward to having breakfast here soon.

New menu is fantastic, changing with fresh local produce, so there is always something to temp the taste buds.
Live music at the weekend was great, really nice garden to relax in.

Kitchen now open and the ambitious menu does not disappoint. Thrilled to be making it a place to regularly meet friends for food and drink; something which has been missing in the village for years. Good luck to the constantly delightful and enthusiastic team in their endeavour to make The George a destination pub. After 12 years I don't know many in Hampshire, so this is a really exciting development in local hospitality. Epic turnaround on a pub with long local history. Can't wait to see what the enthusiastic new team do when the kitchen reopens. Fingers crossed the trajectory continues just as strong. Congratulations to all so far, and thanks for bringing back our pub and making it a place to visit.

This village pub is situated between all three Wallops. The decor inside is amazing as well as the food. The staff and manager are always smiling and ready to help you… The George also has affordable rooms.

Came down for a couple of evenings drinks great atmosphere great staff great entertainment!

What a difference the new landlords have made, a really friendly welcoming pub now and the new chef produced well cooked yummy food from an interesting and varied menu. Great and large selections of gins well mixed. Freshly decorated. Great secure kids play area and massive garden. Looking forward to the events coming up.

We recently held an evening party at the George Inn and it was absolutely fantastic. Despite our party giving the staff relatively little notice, the staff were so accommodating and did everything they could to ensure the evening went without a hitch! Our event had around 100 guests, and Debbie, Sam and staff were wonderful hosts all evening! They provided a buffet which was plentiful and never ran out all night! They also provided an in-house DJ who played great music but who was also willing to take any requests. Overall I couldn't fault the George Inn at all — it was an ideal venue for our party and the staff were quick to serve us at the bar and help us all evening where they could! Thanks so much for having us — we'll be back!

Disgusting and overpriced. I had the beef roast which was over cooked and so dry it I couldn't cut it never mind eat it! My partner had the 100% 1/4 pound cheese burger… sound good? Well no… it's one frozen burger cooked to a biscuit in a dry bun. At £10 per meal you'd expect more. Better off going to McDonald's. Do us all a favour and shut your kitchen. It's daylight robbery. No respect for food or diners.
