This place is is absolutely gorgeous, we’ve been trying to get down here for two years, eventually here and it’s fabulous.

What a lovely afternoon we've spend at Rhinefield house, having high tea. Our waiter Stefan was so friendly and did a excellent job making our afternoon a very joyfull experience.

Magic 🪄 a very pleasant experience I love the place!

Had lunchtime meal. Food was excellent as was the service. This is a five star hotel so the cost was very reasonable.

Excellent choice of sweet or savoury for an afternoon tea.

A jewel of a hotel right in the depths of the new forest, extremely well appointed rooms and excellent facilities, however the key driver for me booking was it had some dog friendly rooms 🐾🐾 that sold it for me, so 5 nights it was exploring the new forest and coastal areas knowing we could go back to a lovely bedroom with floor to ceiling windows and a perfect view of the new forest that kept the old Labrador busy squirrel, rabbit and deer spotting! We ate every evening and met some cheerful team members who aways went out of their way to make sure Poppy Labrador had her window view of choice in the lounge bar each evening. Tom & India’s Expresso Martini’s we’re a great night cap 🍸 After a few days of Poppy settling in she did stay in the room one evening whilst my mother and I dined in the Alhambra private dining room, what amazing food and service was organised by Naren, Adrian and their super well trained team made it a lovely evening. Thanks Rhinefield for becoming dog friendly 🐾🐾🐾 we highly recommend 👏

We went for afternoon tea which was lovely. The hotel is in a stunning setting in the New Forest.
The hotel itself is impressive and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive without being intrusive.

Celebrated my Dads 80th Birthday with afternoon tea. Food was amazing, excellent service and beautiful surroundings, all made the afternoon extra special.

This is a very difficult review to write having today just returned home from having my step son’s wedding reception held here along with a number of rooms booked for those attending. This COULD be a fantastic hotel but it isn't! Yes would recommend but would suggest that disabled access needs to be improved. Automatic door wouldn't open had to request at reception for it to be opened and response was slow. Access to outdoor wedding area difficult, long route through hotel and hard work pushing a wheelchair on gravel. Ramp down to setting are preciously supported on odd bricks. Saving grace was that hotel workers were able to assist, if they hadn't of been present access would have been almost impossible.
That said, lovely venue.

Lovely walk around the beautiful grounds for the Easter Egg hunt. The sausage and bacon baps were a huge hit! Staff as smiley and as welcoming as ever!

We came for the Easter egg hunt and had a lovely time! Laura was very approachable and friendly. Thank you to the chefs, we loved our bunny biscuits and blondies! cannot wait to come back again.

Thank you so much rhinefield for the most wonderful wedding day in September. All the staff were fantastic through organising it, right up to the big day for us. Such friendly service and a delicious tea. Exquisite home-based cakes and scones. It's an impressive Victorian pile set in a beautiful part of the New Forest.

Lovely place. Pretty impressed overall alltho breakfast was a bit chaotic. Tasty but seemed unorganised.

Myself and my husband had a lovely stay here, the staff were friendly and helpful, the views are amazing 10 /10 from us.

Being disabled was not a problem at this hotel, wheelchair lifts to my room, staff carried my bags, and the hotel room was spacious throughout and a disabled wet room. Very helpful staff and an amazing hotel. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location for a wedding and we had the place to ourselves. Also a very nice hotel for a weekend break, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They even added a Yorkshire pudding to a chicken meal to my daughter in-laws dinner when I asked, not a big deal I know but they where very quick to please us. — с Helen Smith.

Wow what a Sunday lunch. The food and service was outstanding. Marlon Nelson and his team know how to go above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Thank you to the chefs for preparing such stunning food and the Parsnip soup was the best! we will be back and soon. Thank you for making my mother in laws 80th birthday special.

Really disappointing visit.
Just wanted a special place to take friend for coffee and cake.
Coffee was good but terribly expensive for small cup and saucer. I ordered cold milk but got hot. Ordered cake which arrived with no napkins nor the cream requested had to return as inedible as so dry.
10%automatically added which we refused to pay as had received no service except the primary delivery of the coffee.
Was advised to use toilets downstairs at very end of hallway, 4 of which were dirty, there were no paper towels and only one of the hand dryers emitted a trickle of hot air.
£3:95 for a little cup of coffee!
Very disappointing
Will not be visiting again and will remain loyal to Limewood.
Unfortunately nothing good to say gardens sadly in need of trimming and weeding.
Best bit? The fish in the pond.

We visited for Afternoon Tea. A good variety of tea. Very relaxing atmosphere in the room where we were sitting in the sun, feasting. Delicious food, discreet but helpful staff. Then a gently walk in the sunshine around the garden.

Horrendous place. We stopped to use the Polar charging station for our electric car. The location is flawless, in the heart of the New Forest. But this stately looking building has been corporatised beyond belief. We liked the idea of stopping for coffee while charging. But the coffee was "institutional" made like they were serving 1, 000 people and was £4 per cup of black coffee! The place is designed for corporate events only and, maybe, weddings. Avoid it like the plague. Unless you are a corporate client, of course…

Attended niece's wedding. Superb venue, attentive staff, wonderful day Only comments being disabled asked for room with walk in shower. Two disabled rooms in hotel as far away from restaurants, bar and reception as possible. Had to have room with shower over bath, not ideal. No one asked anyone disabled before adapting rooms. There was a lift half way. In view of age of building not disabled friendly.

This place is stunning! But let down by its staff. The service is not good. Breakfast is on menu cooked to order. It’s a buffet cooked breakfast. Not good. The manager is not doing a great job…

A beautiful space in a beautiful location. Lovely grounds and surrounds, interior is amazing and exceedingly grand. Food and drink also great as well as polite and courteous staff. Well worth a visit — even if just for afternoon tea.

I write this review from my comfy bed at Rhinefield House. I had the greatest of pleasures in experiencing my daughters wedding reception at this venue. Your staff were just fantastic, everyone complimented the food. Service great. Sounded by the most beautiful location. You helped make this a wedding to remember, for all the right reasons. I like the room, that it is in keeping with with the style of the hotel, but fittings are new, nice touch. … Thank you from the father and mother of the bride, for making my daughters dreams come true.

Stopped with a friend from Australia to admire the venue which is well maintained, then decided to stay and have scones and tea, English style. Friend was enchanted. Claimed it was better than other places she'd been to. We'd had lunch barely a couple of hours before or we would have had the full English Tea. Very good service with a smile! I would only suggest that service areas be kept behind closed doors as it detracts from the lovely stately rooms we wandered through.

Beautiful location and beautiful building. The food was amazing. Its a great option for dinner if around New Forest. Slightly on the pricey side but it's worth it.

Just arrived home, after 3 wonderful days, my Husband had a fantastic birthday yesterday, our evening meal was outstanding! The staff are just wonderful, friendly, can’t do enough for you, the hotel is immaculate, so clean, our room was spotless, our view over the gardens, pond, and pool, was beautiful, couldn’t find anything that wasn’t just perfect! We’ve had many weekends away to lovely hotels, but this is the best so far! This morning I booked the champagne afternoon tea, to celebrate mine and my Mums, birthdays on the 14th of May, bringing my Daughter and Granddaughter too. So looking forward to coming back.

Really nice rooms and informative staff at reception. Waiting staff need more training. Didn't know that most their cheese wasn't vegetarian!

Lovely forest setting. Quite, peaceful and lovely gardens. Good is very good and unique. Presented well. A little way out the way in the first, but adds to the quietness and peacefulness.

A great location for a getaway. Surround by beautiful grounds and stunning forests the location is enough to justify the drive. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was particularly excellent. We enjoyed a lovely break and made the most of the spa facilities.

We stayed here for two nights in the comfortable and spacious Heron Suite. We had a very good view of the forest from the suite. Dinner was very good, breakfast a little disappointing, our boiled eggs were undercooked on the first morning and our table was in a horrible position on the 2nd. Very good bar area although, it being February and St. Valentine's day, it would have benefited from the forest being lit to add atmosphere and warmth, it was rather chilly.

Nice grounds, lovely staff. Hotel is a bit disjointed for me, there weren't' any nice chill out areas that weren't the bar area or corridors. There was 1 fire lite but this was in a corridor with a few seats. Went to spa, nice but very small and only 2 loungers to relax on. Rooms very nice. We stayed on dinner, bed and breakfast — breakfast was great, dinner was OK not much choice and menu didn't change on either day. Lots of lovely walks from hotel.

My partner and I booked an overnight stay as a little break and a treat in the middle of the otherwise sometimes dull month of January and Rhinefield House delivered! So we'll looked after with out feeling intruded upon the staff we're very attentive and ever so kind — clearly a high end establishment but was made to feel very welcome and relaxed. Everywhere you turn there's something to behold. Great dinner, drinks and breakfast and a lovely spa treatment. The location makes for no disturbing noises and beautiful views to enjoy!

What a gorgeous hotel; architecturally, a really sensitive blend of the old and the new. The room was plush, cosy and well appointed although I never quite got the hang of the heating control! The gardens are beautiful, even in winter. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Our only complaint was the service at breakfast; staff were polite but every morning our main course was brought whilst we were still eating an earlier course meaning that we either had to abandon what was before us or send the hot food back! And it didn't only happen to us! Basic error but surely simple enough to resolve. Would definitely revisit, though. Perfect stay for exploring the New Forest.

I was staying at Rhinefield House Hotel for a murder mystery weekend, and I had a great time. The event itself was great (run by The Killing Game) and the venue was perfect. A historic house in a beautiful setting of the New Forest. Not especially near to any big town so far as I can tell, but a lovely place — would love to go back for a walking holiday. The rooms were lovely, the staff efficient and helpful, the food in the restaurant was really great — both for dinner and breakfast. No complaints at all.

We had our NCT Christmas do here and it was one of the best we have ever had. We have been going (20 of us) to different hotels every year for twenty five years at least and this one was lovely. The food was excellent and the atmosphere friendly. There were not too many parties so it was not crowded. Nothing was too much trouble and they catered for my coeliac husband very well. The pool etc was great and the health club receptionist was very helpful. The only problem we had was that our bed was too small so another time we will upgrade. Also I would like conditioner in the health club showers. However, it is a beautiful place in a charming setting and the service was exemplary.

We stayed in the Munro suite, an excellently sized bedroom, lounge and bathroom combination with all the facilities we needed for our short stay, with only an observation that the very 'modern' bed and wardrobe were completely at odds with the period surroundings, all wood panelling and stone fireplaces. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and nothing seemed to be too much to ask. It was our wedding anniversary and a card awaited us on arrival along with a plate of chocolate truffles and strawberries. When we passed comment on the Alhambra room in the evening, we were seated there the following morning. The indoor pool is small, but fine for a swift pre-dinner or pre-breakfast dip, and the grounds are a splendid place to wander and get away from the world. Dinner and breakfast were both first class, with an excellent wine list. Would cheerfully return in the blink of an eye.

As a regular visitor I always enjoy my visits here. My wife and I stay here nearly every year and are never disappointed. When and if there are any issues they are always quickly and professionally resolved. We live nearby so also like to just park up and walk around the grounds and have a coffee in the bar area. Highly rcommended.

Came here for a wedding. Really nice looking place and a very chilled atmosphere. Didn't stay the night, but saw one of the rooms. Seemed quite nice. The decor was great, and it was more than suitable for a wedding. Mostly polite staff too. Expect to pay top dollar for average drinks.

We have just had our daughters wedding at the Rhinefield House hotel and I can't thank the staff enough for there friendliness there help and making sure the day went well. Arranging a table of 20 at the spur of the moment didn't seem to phase them so thankyou very very much. And we would differnatly recommend them to anybody.

My wife and I came to Rhinefield for a couple of days to mark a special occassion. The house and location is quite exceptional, lovely quiet location in mature woodland with spectacular majestic red wood trees. Food is great service is great. Gardens and grounds are a great backdrop for photos koi ponds and New Forest ponies munching on the grass beside your room.

Here for a family wedding. Beautiful grounds and old building. Rooms were decent but sound leakage from corridor / other guests was noticeable. Breakfast and food good but not quite at the top level!

Recently spent two nights at this hotel everything about the hotel was fabulous our room the situation of the hotel were excellent we also tried out the spa and indulged in a couple of treatments which were professional and very enjoyable I think the only letdown was the food for us as it was a little sparse in the armada restaurant if we had known we would have booked for dinner in the grill restaurant or gone out to a local pub … but overall the staff and the overall feel of the hotel was great I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this beautiful hotel can't wait to return.

Our wedding at Rhinefield was incredible, the surroundings are stunning and the overall experience is fantastic. I think the hotel misses out on some attention to detail and some poor staff. However I cannot fault the commitment to making our wedding fantastic.

When I visit somewhere like this I expect a higher standard of service than I might of other places… Things like being greeted by the woman serving behind the bar by a "you alright? ". After a long wait for food we were served barely warm fries and a very average burger (at a very premium price). No I didn't say anything at the time as I was with clients and pushed for time. Oh and the music being played through the speakers in the bar was distorting badly. Like I said, it's all about the standards and small details. All that said, the grounds and gardens are simply stunning, a wonderful place to simply be.

We stayed here for our first wedding anniversary and when we got there to check in we were given a free upgrade to one of their suites. We had lunch at their steak restaurant which was delicious. We had booked a package for a spa treatment each, which we both loved. The meal in the evening was amazing 4 courses and all were superb. The grounds of the hotel are lovely for a nice walk or for a drink outside. All in all an amazing stay.

A beautiful location with really first class facilities with staff who seem to have wandered in from the 2 star guestguest house nearby. Having stayed at Rhinefield once before about 3 years ago it's such a shame to see how the standards have slipped. Our reservation was wrong and the receptionist simply shrugged and couldn't care less. The bar staff casually having a chat whilst surrounded by dirty tables still had time to berate a fellow guest who dained to use a clean napkin to clean his glassed after a sudden downpour outside. I could go on. I have stayed in a number of 4 & 5 star venues around the world over the last few years, including others in this chain, and this location was one of the most disappointing. That said the building was beautiful, like the backdrop from a photo shoot, the rooms were well laid out and well appointed and most of the food was reasonable. We have have just arrived on a bad day…

We stayed here a few weeks ago for my son's birthday the grounds and the setting itself was beautiful but thats as far as it goes was really looking forward to our break untill we got to our room well the price we paid for 2 nights and what we got it wasn't any better then staying in a premier Inn kept awake by banging and crashing wedding guests untill neally 3 in the morning so not good at all we weren't even in the actual hotel we were at the back of the building in a new mirrored building at the back of the building hidden by trees to disguise it.

This place was amazing. On approach to the hotel, you are greeted with this magnificent sight which continues inside. The rooms are names, not numbers which I found really nice (although confusing if there's no one around, which was thankfully not the case). In the room, there was a letter addressed to me personally, welcoming me to the hotel and telling me about activities I could partake in. Had a nice relaxing night after watching TV while relaxing in the bath tub. I was tired so really could not try anything else. The bed was big and lovely. Breakfast was lovely as well. It's a really nice place and I will be returning, hopefully when I have a free weekend.

We went for afternoon tea as it was a friends 40th birthday. The service was terrible, very long waits for food/drinks to arrive, beds being given wheeled through the dining area! We were cramped around a very small coffee table which made it very uncomfortable to eat and the cakes were definitely not home made!

Rhinefield House is a lovely venue for weddings or parties. I have also stayed there for a weekend break and, my steel drum band has performed there for many wedding receptions. You will need to follow your directions carefully when you get closer as it can be tricky to find in the New Forest.

I absolutely love this hotel. We had our wedding here and I just can't fault it. So many of our guests have said it's the best wedding they've been to, with the service from the hotel staff being second to none and making the day extra special. The food is imaculate; you have to try it and the grounds — they are stunning.

Worth to try I was asleep when my hubby drives me to this place and I never been here before When I open my eyes it was like a fairytale. The scene is very gorgeous. There was a wedding when we visited so we were not sure if the restaurant available, but since my baby hungry and need somewhere to eat and warm up her food we decided to stop for the tea time. It turned out they have grill all day! It is expensive but if you try once in a while its ok. The service is ok cos we were the only guest at that time. Despite the wedding. The building is gorgeous, the view is breath taking. And the food is also lovely.

Wish they'd bloody answer their phone when you ring. Perhaps a system that tells you they are busy and the option either to "please hold or leave a message". I rang the other day and it took over 40 rings before I gave up and booked somewhere else. How much business do they lose.

This is a grand place to take afternoon tea. The surroundings are impressive, the cakes and sandwiches are up to par but the service is poor. The staff need to pop down to the Haven Hotel in Sandbanks and see how it should be done.
