Very welcoming and staff friendly.

We stayed here over a week ago and never again … the booking clearly stated a family with children. However, we was told thhe don't have any kids menu and what they advertise on the main menu is false advertisement as 2 slices of bacon is not a 10oz gammon. And it gets worse… in our friends room when they looked under the bed in they room they found a box with needles and syringes in. In the process of emailing the hotel manager but not very helpful at all! Awful service stay away.

First time in a holiday inn and wasnt expecting much on arrival the lady was lovely an friendly on reception and couldn't be more helpful room was standard but had everything that was needed including good Wi-Fi signal an aircon which was much appreciated after hot day at paultons we had evening meal which was amazing lovely food great portions kids at free the lady that took the order didn't seem to friendly an didnt get us kids menu just told us what she could remember but when listening to another table the menu was bigger than she told us which would of been better our 3 year old the man that took over service an brought food out again amazing service. When we arrived we had to order our breakfast bag to collect in the morning due to covid understandably restaurant wasnt open again wasnt expecting much but was amazing and we and children preferred it all fresh and ready on time. Morning reception was nice and friendly to. All in all great place would recommend an would definitely visit again thank you.

We had our Golden wedding party there Sat 7th March would highly recommend it. Food was spot on. Were brilliant as we needed different menu choices & chef accommodated this. Disco play list again brilliant & Gary was so nice. Rooms clean & comfy. Breakfast really good. Rosie Wendy Magda Asif Tomas so many others all so lovely & helpful. The staff that served up dinner were amazing they worked their socks off to get everything right & (the lady her name escapes me) in charge of serving was wonderful getting everything just so. We were very impressed & had great feedback from our guests which is what we were happy to hear. Many thanks.

We celebrated my daughter's baby shower there today, we had afternnon tea. The staff were so helpful and friendly, they provided us with a beautiful room and the food was fantastic. Thank you. X.

Attending for a friend's wedding. Food excellent, both the wedding and the breakfast. Staff really helpful and friendly, some were doing LONG shifts on the day but we're still smiling at the end. Room comfortable and clean. Only downside was a few of the other guests don't know the meaning of the word "quiet" at 11-12 o'clock at night. Not a fault of the Hotel, you get idiots everywhere. Highly recommended!

Stopped to charge our leaf. Make sure you register with reception (which is a decent walk from the charger! ) We got lunch whilst there the god we got was ok but one of our sarnies was forgotten about! Would have been a 5 star other than that.

I went to the Holiday Inn for a meeting where I was supporting a person with a disability. The facilities for a disable person were excellent. Lunch was also provided and the variety and quality was very good. We have recommended that future meetings be held at this venue.

Lovely hotel. Set in a very easy to find location. Ample parking. Disabled access. Very friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble.

Best hotel local to town motorway and train station plenty of room for children and disabled large park only a few minutes away and local co-op next door.

Decent hotel. Comfy bed and good amenities in the room. Restaurant has a good menu for reasonable price. The breakfast if not included is £12. Good menu selection and possibility to ask for additional hot meals a la carte. 5-10minutes drive from the station.

Great place to have business meeting and lovey food in restaurant staff there are second to none had meetings all week and no problems at all and plenty off parking.

The monthly sales meeting is held there and the rooms are always well presented and the buffet breakfast provides value for money.

Rooms are quite comfortable and showers are ok. Our room stank of stale smoke unfortunately despite being a non smoker. They had made a big fuss about trying to get our children into connecting rooms but messed it up so that we were in fact in adjacent rooms that did not have a joining door which meant we spent the first hour going back and forth trying to get them settled. Tried to get this corrected later but no joining rooms were available by that stage. We had the bad luck to be blighted by thoughtless guests who arrived late around 1130 and made lots of noise in the corridor outside — and also got up around 6am and started slamming doors and cupboards so not much sleep. Just emphasised how poor the sound insulation was throughout.

Got married here and couldn't recommend more, staff were exceptionally helpful and nothing was too much trouble to make the day perfect.

This hotel has a triple head rapid charger outside which in theory can charge two vehicles at once if they're using one on DC and one on AC. Nice enough place.

Only used the hotel as a stop over and only eat breakfast there which was the usual buffet style you find elsewhere. The room was fine apart from the shower which would not work at first. Typical semi expensive Basingstoke hotel, but would stay again.

I visited for the Christmas lunch. The meal was 5 courses (starter, soup, sorbet, main and dessert) with tea afterwards. The meal was good, if a little too filling, for the beef was about two inches thick. The sorbet also came in a salt rimmed glass (an unpleasant flavour combination with the sorbet). Overall, I would go again.

Can't praise the staff and michelle scott the party coordinater had my hubby 60th surprise party this sat and it went so well staff were brillant.
Hotel room we had was great good comfortable nights sleep.

A very nice and clean place within easy reach of the town centre. Room was very tidy and spacious and the staff was really helpful. Over all it was a fabulous experience staying there plus it's good value for money.

Lovely spacious room with double glazing so even though it is next to a very busy road the room was very quiet. Only problem is my ground floor room had a room above with a wooden floor and the person above was pacing up and down while on the phone and the noise on the floor boards was quite bothersome. The conference centre is very nice and we used the very sociable lounge areas for small breakout discussions. We had a 3 course dinner catered in the conference centre and the food was great, except for the fish which was a disaster two nights in a row (completely overcooked, dry and tough). Overall a very good experience.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was to stay in. It is a bit dated on the outside but inside everything had been modernised, it's very clean, even the standard room is spacious & the bed very comfortable. There are tea & coffee making facilities, an iron & board, a safe. Everything in the room was clean & fresh. All the staff from the concierge to the bar were very helpful and friendly. Plenty of car parking space. Lovely pillows and delicious & generous breakfast. Would go again ☺️

Location was easy to get to, staff were helpful and friendly enough! Hotel itself was clean, and the room used was fit for purpose.

I've been staying here on and off over a number of weeks. The service is excellent and so is the food. It's also got air con in the rooms which is relief on a warm night.

Nice staff. Food is pretty good for a chain hotel. Breakfast very good. Beds and showers excellent. Good location. I've stayed here a few times now and it ticks all the boxes I need for a good chain hotel.

Wexhad our wedding reception there and couldn't praise the staff enough. Great venue, lovely food and a fantastic room for the night.

We booked our wedding reception at this hotel and they did us proud. They helped plan the evening and took a lot of the stŕess out of arranging the event. Michelle who was our wedding coordinator and Janet who oversaw the event were brilliant. They advised everything from the amount of food and wine to seating arrangements and timings. Everyone who came to our reception complimented the food, both selection wise and how good and tasty it all was. I could not recommend this venue enough for an event like this and cannot thank them enough for all the work they and their staff provided, brilliant job one and all.

Lovely hotel lovely location. Beds was very comfortable rooms was a good size and had everything we needed. Food was lovely. Staff was very polite and helpful. Had a few problems with loud guests in the next room but staff soon sorted the problem. Couldn't of enjoyed our stay more. Thank you hoilday inn for making it weekend break to remember.

5 star for Best customer service ever! I stayed here for 6 nights and my stay was 10/10. Buffet options for breakfast are tasty. Dinner options are not best for vegetarians or vegans but decent menu for meat eaters. The room was small for executive but it was clean and comfortable.

Came up from Brighton for a wedding — the staff were all helpful, the room was awesome and the breakfast was just amazing! 100% recommend.

It has everything essential that is expected of a hotel: comfortable beds, clean rooms, very clean bathroom and the service is more than friendly, I've been going over a year frequently and everything has always been perfect. The breakfast is rich, without delicacies, English breakfast standard but it is what one expects in a hotel as well. In the final analysis advisable.

Rooms quite ugly and sloppy… The rest very nice.

Went for a Xmas party which had great food and the staff where excellent, breakfast was really good with lots of options and I most definitely need one of the pancake makers in own home. The room however desperately needed updating. Shower was weak and the bath plug didn't work and the bed was terribly uncomfortable.

The Holiday Inn is a fantastic venue for professional events and the staff always make you feel welcome.

I stayed in room 225 and 227, had party downstairs for someone's 30th birthday, food could have been better.

I went to the wedding fair and it was very helpful and useful. The staff welcomed us like we were guests of the hotel even they knew we wernt.

I didn't stay here, but we were very well taken care of at a 4 day conference, the food provided for us was genuinely really good, and all the staff were lovely.

I found a dead body in the bath, it got up and started to walk towards me, at first she was young but then ended up an old woman, I'm into young and old though ;).

The hotel was amazing and luxury! The room I stayed was contemporary! The TV was Freeview and they have great channels and songs. The hotel was all in one floor, but had long corridors. The breakfast room was noisy, also cramped when I was there, but the food was delicious. Rate 4 of 5.

It's all relative. The Holiday Inn in Basingstoke is the best thing going in Basingstoke which may be the wrong scale for some travelers. The hotel is clean, the staff is warm and the food is good (UK standard applied) but it all works for me. You're a 15 minute walk to the city center and very close to the business district so it's perfect for me as I can walk to work. Yes the rooms are small, the dining is not Chez Panisse and you can't see the Eiffel Tower from your room but if you're traveling to Stonehenge or just working in town this place is plenty nice. I've stayed here three times in three different rooms over the last couple months for a total of 14 days at the Inn and I'll stay there again (and again).

I know this is Basingstoke and a Holiday Inn but even so, the "Deluxe Room" I was forced to book is a tiny shoebox overlooking a busy roundabout and a scummy petrol station in an iffy part of town. Dreadful.

Not too bad, the building and the decor look very dated but the rooms are not too bad.

Since this hotel has been efurbished I'm a regular visitor. It's not too big, staff is friendly altough different each time. Facilities like bar and restaurant are basic but okay. Quality of the food is okay (considering UK standards) and restaurant staff is friendly at all time. For family visits the rooms are small, for business this hotel is fine — my favorite in this class in Basingstoke next to the Apollo.
