I've visited here before and had a lovely stay so decided to take the family back for a some days. On arrival I was very disappointed with the booking process as it was not properly done and I was given a different price as to what was discussed via my phone conversation. Was stressful. However, the manager rectified it the following day and apologised. The breakfast was lovely and had vegan options for us. I must say the staff in breakfast area were absolutely nice especially Maria. Also the gentleman at entrance. I forgot his name. Welcoming and efficient. Can't say the same for the Spa ladies. I really wanted to book a few treatment but for me if I walk into a room and don't get a pleasant welcome I'm off immediately. They were not welcoming whatsoever. Not even a good morning or good afternoon. Felt very offended. Is it my ethnicity. I say this because I went to the pool late one evening and a gentleman of same ethnicity as myself said good evening, please sign in to me. It was my 1st actual greeting for the entire week going in there. Had a few issues with the hotel itself. No television in my room which I mentioned to reception and was ignored, not sure if it's because of the mishap on arrival. The water was not going down properly in the bathroom and face basin, again which I mentioned and was ignored, minimal toilet roll, literally had to constantly ask for more, alongside towels. It just wasn't the same service and standards I got on my last visit and especially having a 4 star rating. Agnes who works at reception, Maria in breakfast and the tall gentlemen so sorry I forgot his name and a gentleman at the bar were a few who demonstrated lovely customer service. Nice people. The manager also is doing a good job but in my opinion need to follow up with some of his staff and their people person skills. They need to get a brush up course or something. I won't be going back with my family. I've been to 3 star hotels and got absolutely way better service and cleaner facilities. I would have given 2 stars but there were a few lovely people and because of them I would say it has the potential to get better. Maybe Agnes should be Assistant Manager. She's great.
