Situated across the road to a cool stream, rest and enjoy the atmosphere of peace and tranquility, whilst eating a fantastic breakfast.

Firstly. I would like to say the young guy that served us on Sunday was extremely polite and helpful to our needs, although he was on trial. I would certainly hire him. His name is Sam Edmonds. I so hope The Hawk hire him, he would be a great asset to your company. Jj Andon-Swan.

We booked to stay for 1 night following a day watching BTCC at Thruxton Motorsport Centre. The room was very reasonably priced, very tastefully decorated with all amenities needed including the option of a pod coffee maker. Bed was very comfortable with crisp white bedding & shower was a lovely powerful rain shower, with white fluffy large bath sheet size towels & beautiful smelling to use. We did find a razor in the shower, but could tell that shower had been cleaned & this was an oversight left on the shelf. The restaurant was a great friendly atmosphere with plenty of drink choices. The food was excellent, not your cheap pub grub, but great chef inspired food, therefore be prepared to pay a little more, but not expensive. We would highly recommend if in the area, you wouldn't be disappointed.

A really fab couple of days here. From the moment we arrived until now, as we depart. Wonderful staff, relaxing atmosphere, great food and drink — nothing was too much of a problem. Very doggie friendly as well as catering for me being coeliac. The Upham Group never fails in delivery and this was another one of their pubs/charming room selection we will return too! Harry and Bea enjoyed themselves too (and loved their sausages for breakfast! ). A big shout out also to the Peat Spade Inn who were so efficient in redirecting our original booking at the last minute due to power problems. We will visit there again for sure! Thank you all. The Hawk Inn is a great place to go. From the minute you arrive, the staff are attentive, friendly and helpful. The food is always great and the menu choice is varied. We will definitely be going back.

Beautiful relaxing setting I stayed in two different rooms and the beds are lush I actually slept through a horrible storm! Food is fantastic and at a good price.

Staff were friendly as was the Husky Luna! Food was great and there was plenty of it.

Rooms are tatty and in need of urgent TLC. The staff were eager to please but it was an uphill struggle for them given the inherent shortcomings of the accommodation. The “continental breakfast” was the worst we have ever encountered. The restaurant menu was limited due to staff shortages but nevertheless was generally poor and yet relatively expensive. The only real upside was that the Inn has character and enjoys a wonderful position with great views.

My boyfriend booked the Hawk Inn for a birthday weekend for me and what an amazing place to stay! All staff were lovely and friendly, the bed was so comfortable! Food was amazing. Only thing is, the shower wouldn't go any warmer But overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back in the future Thank you so much.

My wife and I called there yesterday along with our older daughter and her family to have a late lunch. The meals that we ordered were first class and we all enjoyed our meals even the grandchildren who can be a little picky. That chicken and ham pie was gorgeous. I would have loved seconds but the wife would have objected I am sure.
We had tremendous service from Adam and next time we visit from the North West of England I would love to have a planned visit to the Hawk Inn. Diolch yn Fawr Adam.

Had a delicious meal last night, the staff were all friendly, did all they could to accommodate me being fussy. They have a lovely, different from the normal gins on offer and have made both inside and out Covid safe.
Well done, will definitely be back to try more of your mouth watering menu.

What amazing food! We had the pork Sunday lunch and it was so filling but so delicious! Couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

Went to celebrate 25th Wedding Anniversary with friends, lovely food, friendly staff. Kedgeree for starters was lovely, had steak cooked exactly how I like it, cheese & biscuits followed by espresso martini cocktail wonderful. Perfect place for any celebrations. Thank you.

Dog friendly hotel absolutely spotless great views can't fault it.

Went for a meal for the first time tonight to celebrate our Anniversary. Was not disappointed, food and service was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. Nice ambiance inside and lovely sitting area outside overlooking the green. Will definitely go back.

Our first trip away with the pooch aka Storm. We used PetsPyjamas to find a dog friendly hotel and we were not disappointed. On arrival the staff were extremely pleasant and went out of their way to help. Our room was small but in a bijou vintage sorta way. Some would say the decor was in need of a refresh in the bathroom but to be honest the last thing you want with a doggy companion is a pristine palace for them to wander about! Pets pyjamas provided a cute doggy welcome bag. The food was absolutely outstanding and a well deserved rest was needed after every meal. There is a lovely walk guide detailing 7 varying dog walk lengths. I would say this place is a must for any dog loving adventurers. Storm was certainly a happy pup too. Thank you to all the staff for always going that little bit extra to make all three of us feel at home!

Fantastic beer festival in lovely surroundings, not a bad beer all evening. Had a fabulous meal on the patio, food was excellent, staff very friendly and efficient. Good value. Would highly recommend.

Arranged a group booking for 20 people originally but on the day had 3 cancellations so only 17 showed! The staff at the Hawk dealt with things exceptionally! All food and drink orders were bang on and in good time which is a tall ask nowadays! Would definitely recommend their fantastic setting and professional staff (to to mention the good food) to anyone and everyone who would lend an ear! Jolly good show guys, keep up the good work, will definitely be back!

Incredible meal staff really helpful. Our eldest son wanted the hawk burger from the adults menu as he wanted the fried egg and streaky bacon but had a chat with the staff if they could put the bacon and egg on the kids portion. They could and this made my son happy as he could enjoy his burger whilst having the additional extras that were on the adult burger.

Stayed here overnight enroute to Plymouth where our daughter has just moved to… nice pub, atmosphere and decor, comfortable room, delicious food last night — sadly we needed to be off this morning too early to stay for breakfast but perhaps next time we won't arrange an early arrival at Plymouth! Made very welcome, friendly staff. We'll be back!

I stopped here to use the bathroom facilities as I walked from the British Army Headquarters in Andover to the British Armed Forces Chaplaincy Centre at Amport. I used the toilet for disabled people. The toilet facility was adequate and the pub itself looked nice. It was busy which is a good indicator that the pub and it's restaurant are of good quality. The village of Amport is worth a visit as it is a most picturesque village with lots of thatched roof cottages. I would recommend a visit to The Hawk Inn pub in Amport.

The most amazing and friendly people run this inn. I would book a stay at this inn for my future travels to UK even if I dont particularly plan on traveling to Salisbury or any other near town. It's worth the drive. Had breakfast and dinner there and the food is incredible.

Lovely food, service staff were lovely but a little chaos. We were probably part of the problem as it was such a nice day we sat outside. They need to work out how to find people who are sitting somewhere else! But lovely food, including great vegan options.

What a find, love this pub, beautiful location for a sunny day and cosy interior for a chilly winters day. They are dog friendly and the staff are very efficient and friendly. The food is great, best fish and chips I’ve ever had will definitely return.
Just wish you were in our village, please buy the Shears in Collingbourne!

Lovely atmosphere and delicious pub food. It is exactly what you would expect from a pub in the middle of such picturesque country side: clean, Spacious warm, full of local people, no carpet on the floor and well-behaved dogs.

Fantastic staff, really helped us out when our car broke down close by, even sent someone to collect us in the middle of the night. Would highly recommend the bar. And room was very nice and beds were great.

Lovely room with a very comfortable bed and lovely ensuite. Good quality tea and coffee facilities with fresh milk. We had a lovely welcome in the bar by friendly staff. Nice range of wine and drinks unfortunately we didn't get to eat an evening meal. Lovely breakfast in the morning all freshly cooked would definitely stay here again.

We went to The Hawk Inn on a recommend from a good friend. It was an absolutely lovely evening. The pub is beautiful, the staff friendly and the food was just amazing! We are both gluten free and the chef was happy to adapt meals so that we could have them — and there was plenty to choose from. Between us, we managed to have veggie, meat and fish dishes — and all courses were beautifully presented and the flavours stunning. With an open fire to boot, what more could you ask for from a country pub on a cold autumn evening! Highly recommend.

Very comfortable rooms, great food and warm and friendly staff. Only down side was the included breakfast is continental only. If you fancy a cooked breakfast, you'll have to pay extra. Other than that, I would highly recommend.

I've been here many times and it never disappoints. Friendly staff, delicious food, great atmosphere. Tonight I had the hake (served on a bed of tagliatelle and giant prawns) it was meaty, tender to eat and so follow flavour — truly one of the best meals I have ever had — amazing! Can't wait to come back again.

Gorgeous hotel in the middle of the most amazing countryside. Rooms beautifully presented with yummy Ren bath products (what's not to love about that girls? ). Food exceptionally good — seasonal, perfectly cooked and presented. Staff friendly and welcoming — all in all a great place. One we've been to loads of times and one we'll keep coming back to.

Revamped in Feb 2016 with a new central bar area has improved the atmosphere immensely. Friendly service and great food.

I use this venue for entertaining business colleagues on a regular basis. Great menu, great wines and very friendly staff.

What a great find. Clean modern yet traditional and yes they even have a log fire. The food was very good. A lovely attentive lady making sure all was well. What a find. I FULLY recommend it. You will NOT be dissapointeddissapointed.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner at The Hawk Inn in Amport, great atmosphere and excellent food. Service was really friendly and staff very attentive. It had a good buzz and all the good reports I had heard certainly stood up to the test. Its decor is very contemporary and stylish and I will definitely be back. Just off the A303 so very handy.
