The Hotel is very welcoming. The front of house staff a friendly and supportive to all. The backroom staff could not be more helpful. The rooms are looked after to very high standard, the cleaning staff are fantastic. I would all recommend the Gym, Pool and all the other lesiure facilities all included in the room price. The Restrunt is very good, But you will need to get used to the planes going into the the very busy Airport.

Been a guest in a village hotel before so sort of knew what to expect! I get the feeling this one is a converted building instead of purpose built which is my preference. It felt very crampt to me due to the low ceilings. The rooms were standard and clean which was all we were looking for as we had travelled down to fly at Manchester airport the following day. Our only complaint was that it was absolutely roasting! Which is not the fault of the hotel! Not much air circulation in the room and the windows didn't open that far so we were absolutely boiling all night. I think the hotel were aware as we came in and the fan in the room was on full. Again not a fault of the hotel itself. There was an England game on in the bar so it was quite noisey but staff were attentive and polite despite not really understanding our accent but kindly said "pardon" instead of "what"

The rooms are good. The robotic staff, too bad.

When we got in the room only had 1 coffee each. Went for breakfast and staff miserable I was on my own and felt uncomfortable. It would be better if staff were friendly. Young lad with dark hair was the only pleasant one. No tomatoes or mushrooms on this visit. Room great very comfortable.

Friendly & Helpful Staff, Buzzing atmosphere, great for LIVE SPORT (esp. Football). 2 large screens & 1 smaller surround bar area. Outside patio & tables in warm weather. Amazing Gym Facilities, Jacuzzi, Steam Room, Sauna, Swimming Pool, Motivated PT's and regular daily aerobic, kick boxing, spin classes start just after 6am & finish 9/10pm. Huge Car Park, Easy Location.

We use the Village Hotel in Cheadle every month for training. Typically 12 of us attend and the meeting room we use is professionally laid out with pads of paper and pens, with glasses and bottles of water and a mini fridge with soft drinks. A hot buffer is provided at lunch time and includes wraps, chicken skewers, pizza strips, wedges, fish cakes and a selection of puddings. It's a fantastic venue for professional meetings and I would definitely recommend it.

Decent hotel. Got upgraded to a club room which was well kitted out with extras. Gym really good, with lots of modern equipment all in great condition as are the changing rooms. My only gripe is the spa area which needs a few quid spending on it to bring it up to 2018… Definitely still stuck in the 90's that part.

I have stayed in a number of village hotels and I have always found them excellent value for money. This one in Cheadle is no different. Here I also booked a small conference room for a workshop. The staff were helpful and polite. The buffet lunch was hot and arrived at the right time… And of course eof good quality too. Equipment provided was all modern and quick to connect with. Fully recommended.

The hotel is well located for the airport. The decor is modern and is what you would expect of a village hotel. Included in the stay was access to the gym which was newly refurbished with brand new equipment and there is also a pool. The rooms are well presented, the only thing to let down the hotel on our visit was the service during our meal. The hotel and food was definitely 5 stars, but the staff were not attentive during the meal once our order had been taken and did not delay the desert when asked. Our food was ready at the pass and my wife coukd see it but we were left waiting for 5 minutes for someone to bring it over. I would highly recommend this hotel and would expect to give it 5 stars next time as I assume the staff were new.

One of the better hotels close to the airport. Great leisure facilities and choice of restaurants. Rooms well presented, club rooms are larger and have Sky TV, worth the extra few pounds in my opinion. Breakfast has a good variety of options and staff are friendly. Highly recommended.

Spot on. Only stayed for one night but really nice place. Not much food on the menu but a nice variety. Pool is nice, not too small but enough to have space. Service was sound.

I always heard wonderful things about Village Hotels which is the reason I booked a stay here. However I had the most awful stay I've ever had in a hotel. In arrival the grounds & views were amazing, but that's where the beauty ends. On arrival the greeting was Lovely, however when walking past in a corridor behind the stench that was coming from the lower ground where the gym was, was appalling. The colour & decor didn't help as it was dark & dingy & not welcoming at all. We get to our room to find it was dark which made the room look small & what didn't help was the poor lighting. We found there was no shampoo/conditioner or hand wash which I was annoyed about as this is shown to be complimentary & was certainly not there on arrival, which I would add should be one of the room checks done before hand. However saying that when mentioned to reception it was put in the room. The sleep I had there was awful & a nightmare. The mattress was hard & the pillows were a soft which left my neck hurting all night & the next day. The breakfast in the morning was their only saviour as it was very nice along with the staff. To sum it up I would never stay here again as I've had better stays at places like Travelodge & Holiday Inn at a quarter of the cost I spent here. I was going to complain, but was told they don't take into account to people who do as they feel their hotel has made a name for themselves, therefore no one would pay attention to what I have to say!

The hotel is well maintained and the staff are welcoming and more than happy to help. The pool is a good size and I enjoy the steam room and sauna, the fitness centre seems to have everything you need. The bar has plenty of choice in both drinks and food, but both are a bit pricey, £5 a pint. However if you like sports there are plenty of TV. Could not try the restaurant for dinner due to Christmas Parties but the breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We had a Club room, which was cold when we first arrived due to the window being left open. On the plus side the room was large, with a TV and full Sky service, coffee machine and excellent shower. Also these rooms give you free entry to the pool. Would I recommend this hotel. Yes.

I Stay here a lot for work. Modern decor and a nice big TV with sky in the room. Food in the restaurant is delicious. If I had to pick one thing to improve it would be the breakfast which doesn't have a massive selection and is a buffet affair. Would be much better if it were cooked to order.

Average food. Great staff who are very helpful. Gym and pool are to a high standard. Rooms are a little dark and carpets dirty. Air-conditioning would work but not heat. Sky sports/movies in room.

Room OK. Stylish, however, something usual. Check-in/Check out self-service prone to system errors (rooms that have already been allocated will be allocated again … not good). Good for UK but expensive. Pub is good. The burgers there too.

Good size club room but a bit dark and there was no fan in the room. Also, the bathroom could do with being refurbished as it was a bit tired and there were some mould/dirty stains around the tiles. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and of okay quality (I had the cold/continental option). The bar was comfortable and drinks were reasonably priced.

Great staff, lovely rooms (club room) gives you free access to gym, pool, sauna and steam room. Great facilities. I am now a member of the gym and get 25% off bar and food also. 20% off rooms when booking online and loads more benifits. This place has become my second home.

I arrived tired, one person behind the check in talking to a guest and one person greeting — a nice chap — self check in (grrr) standing entering details including credit card etc. And now it's at least a 40 minute wait for a burger. Card payment machine takes for ever as there's no signal. It took ages to get served in the bar. So far I'm having a pretty ordinary experience. The room though is lovely. If I was not tired I may have just overlooked this but I can't help but think that self checkin is a bit of a liberty.

It has 90inch TV at the bar. Great to watch United games.

Nice hotel and nice function room that have used a couple of times but the staff in the bar leave a lot to be desired. Attitude is terrible and can't be bothered to clear tables of dirty glasses before they serve you food. Instead they pass you the plates to out on your knee. Won't get the chance to do it again though.

Good value for stay over night and parking for your holiday.

Decent enough gym with all the necessary equipment and a nice 20m pool.

Awful customer service from Charlotte. Had the phone slammed down on me while trying to complain. The gym is dirty! The machines have a build up of dirt and also rusty. There are many other hotels in the area please think carefully before booking here or joining the gym.

I had booked to stay here for a night on business. I had paid upfront according to their policy and was informed an hour before I was due to arrive (having travelled up from London) that my booking had been cancelled. I received no explanation or apology. This has never happened to me before and is possibly even illegal. This hotel obviously doesn't give a monkeys about customer service, only making money at any cost. Stay away.

Looked great on the website and even quite attractive from first appearance. However due to the following I have to give this one a 1 Star: 1. Frosty reception staff 2. Broken toilet flusher 3. Broken sink 4. TV had awful picture and sound 5. At 9.30 the next morning is sounded like a DJ had set up outside our room Not a pleasant stay at all. We paid £95 for the room. When we arrived we were told that as we booked through a 3rd party we would have to pay a further £10 per couple to use the pool. When I complained to the reception upon checkout about the broken toilet and sink, she just thanked me for letting her know, wrote it down and then charged full price for the room. We feel very let down and quite frankly robbed! We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Brilliant value for money for a cheap weekend break.

The hotel on it's own is a slice of heaven, staff on the other hand no. L waited in reception for 10 mins to get service.

We visited this resort on Sunday 21st December on what was billed as a Christmas party day for children. I booked two adults and three children, aged 5, 7 and 7. These were our grandchildren. When I booked I was told the day would consist of a childrens entertainer, santa claus at 3pm and a disco. When we arrived the disco was playing too loud in my opinion for trying to feed children. The DJ didn't appear to have any finnesse where children were concerned, some of the comments he made were over the little ones heads. There was NO childrens entertainer and father christmas did arrive at 3pm. The food was duly served about 1.30. I had chosen Turkey for the adults and chicken nuggets and chips for the children. The childrens meal didn't arrive. Everyone else seermed to have their lunch except my grand children. We weren't told there was a problem only that it would be out imediately. This didn't happen, I knocked on the kitchen door and spoke to Carl. He said other tables appeared to have taken more childrens meals than they had booked, and they were cooking my grandchildrens lunch as we spoke. This was not acceptable we were expected to eat our meal whilst they sat there hungry. I would have prefered them to have told me the facts in the beginning and have kept my meals back so we could all eat together. My lunch was cold when the childrens came out. I only ate the turkey. The meals weren't of best quality anyway, but cold they tasted worse.

Good clean hotel staff very good especially olivia in restaurant, food excellent and set menu good value however this is not widely displayed and had to ask to see what special deals were. Looking forward to return trip shortly.

After driving around the village of Cheadle and not being able to find any suitable accommodation, there was little alternative other than to book into the Village resort. At £100 pounds per night I found this over expensive, there is no residents bar and yet a private function is raging below my room at the time of writing this (the time now is 00.24) and the noise is way over the top. Menu prices in the restaurant are way over the odds compared to contemporary hotels. There is no secure safe system in the room. All in all I found the place to be well over priced, noisy (to extreme) and not a nice experience. I would certainly look elsewhere before choosing a Village inn in future.

This is actually a complaint, Recently your cheadle village fitness centre ran a livingsocial voucher scheme. Now my wife had tried it before once, last year and recommended it to me to try it. So I brought passes for 5 people including a work colleague to try out, as we been gym hunting and were trying to decide between la fitness and this one that my wife recommended. BOY WAS MY WIFE WRONG! your manager Traci there can give a class in how to lose a potential customer in 5 mins and 10 points on how not to provide customer services. Tried explaining to her, that we wanted to try it as my wife had tried it last year. Her reply join as member, she will not honor the vouchers. Wow can I say nice customer liaison skills. Didnt even say hi or smiled or shook hands, just stormed in like a storm trooper and said those words and stormed off. I and my wife use to do quite bit of victory pub nites at both Cheadle and Bury one with friends. Now on you have lost our business and I will make my mission to tell everyone about how bad service your hotels provide. I seen better customer service in a kebab shop.

Booked 10 rooms for a family wedding Saturday 02 August 2014 — The staff were amazing, ensuring our rooms were ready and waiting for us when we arrived at midday, despite usual check in at 3pm. All our rooms were spotlessly clean, bathrooms bright and modern, and the breakfast on Sunday morning was wonderful. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their stay and I would most definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay. Many thanks to the reception/bar/cleaning/restaurant staff for all their help.

On sunday 25 th may went for a pre booked meal for 7 adults. Having been on numerous occasions before, only to be treated to the worst dining experiance we have ever encountered, in short the cheap nasty, poor quality food was badly cooked and not a single meal comprised of all the componants on the menu. Totaly inedible but the potatos were a loveley shade of green. Two young ladies serving us were exellent but let down by chef and food.
