It’s 3.19 am, I’m still awake as my neighbours are constantly in and out of their room slamming the door so loudly the walls shake, the smell of weed coming through the adjoining door is overwhelming. I rang the front desk at 1.30 and asked to be moved to another room but the hotel is fully booked apparently. They did come up and ask them to keep the noise down but it made no difference. I’m desperate for sleep.

A bit old but good hotel. Friendly staff, nice rooms, food and drinks.

Hard beds, and tatty carpets. Bar closed thru lack of staff (not their fault) opened at 5:30 pm. Window won't open because rubber seal peeled off and jammed in.
Tbf I'm sure some issues might have been resolved but when all you want to do is sleep …
As a budget hotel it's ok.

What a joke rooms not ready no toilets open no restaurant no bar only enough to make 2 drinks in your room breakfast to your room which was like rubber and lost my sons order there was someone else’s make up left under my bed the shower did as it pleased the instructions on the wall were for a different shower the whole experience was not good at all didn’t even get an apology for the room not being ready just offered to handle our suitcase and look after it so we can go out I know it’s Covid and I did expect some changes but this is another level or crap service the hotel has gone really down hill.

For the 1st time decided to go to Holiday inn, Sutton New years Eve dinner & dance. Food was amazing, plenty of choice & lots of food. Great staff from friendly bar staff to waiting staff to managers. They bent over backwards to accommodate lots of different snacks that my 3 year old granddaughter wanted. Great music & atmosphere. My daughter stayed the night. Lovely large room & great breakfast. Thankyou to all the staff. The only one thing was some quests were in Jeans, T shirt & trainers, even though the info said smart/casual… but no jeans or trainers! but 90 % of us looked amazing in party outfits. Definitely recommend this amazing hotel.

The staff were lovely very helpful.

Standards have dropped … aircon unit on and off all night … traffic noise. Not the cleanest place I’ve stopped at… as for the breakfast. I don’t know who they’ve got cooking but they are in the wrong trade … they should be resoling shoes it’s like leather.

Kids eat free, they get to choose from a small children’s buffet. Restaurant staff are wonderfully helpful, happy & cheerful. Borrow a book is great kids loved this. Kids get very important kid wrist band that gets them a small treat which goes down very with them.

Me, my two daughters and my granddaughter stayed here for 2 nights while we visited Chessington World of Adventures. Very friendly front desk staff, comfy room, and good breakfast. Would stay here again. (just one negative my daughter has a wheelchair and we had to go all the way round when we parked the car in the underground car park, a ramp where the stairs are would be good)

Was concerned about noise as large wedding reception but no noise could be heard from our room.

The staff are excellent, the food is excellent, the surroundings are excellent. As a sprit member I love all the facilities im entitled to. The staff in the gym are first class too.

Very friendly staff, lovely welcome when we arrived. Lots of free of charge extras for the children which was a great touch and so very family friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.

Great friendly staff, super kids friendly, nothing was too much to ask, nice big room, superb breakfast, pool just extra bonus.

They have limited parking. Luckily there is a parking lot just across the street where I managed to park for the whole day until 6pm and then had to move my car to the hotel carpark. Luckily again the wedding we had to go to had a break around that time so I could pop back and do that.

A very clean and pleasant place to relax and unwind. Room was very spacious for myself and daughter, bed was bigger than what we expected. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was there from 16th — 17th Aug 2018 and the food was very yummy. A special thanks to Denise for her warm reception and I strongly recommend for everyone.

£8 parking for night was a surprise as no mention booking through Chessington however still worked out a good price overall. Breakfast was awesome with a wide variety for everyone of drinks and foods. Air con was good. Beds were comfy and had 2 pillows per person 1 soft 1 firm which was nice. Went to bar for a pint. At 4.50 per pint thought I'd just have the one and leave it at that.

Stayed at this hotel in the 2nd week of July'18. I was put up in the superior room. The rooms are good. Would have liked an electronic safe in the room. The restaurant food was good.

Stay few days in this hotel. Rooms are clean and they have tasty foods. But staff is not good. They need to be more friendly and supportive.

A very expensive hotel for what it is. The staff is friendly and polite, but the common areas of this hotel are not great. I am referring in particular to the reception, which was designed with extensive glass areas at the front, that let in huge amounts of sunlight; in the summer it's unbearable to spend even five minutes in here.

Stayed here for a week while we visited a sick relative. The Hotel is really clean and the food is good, but the thing that lets the place down is the staff. Trust me, if you stay here you will find that the only person that smiles is the “receptionist”. From the room cleaners to the bar staff no-one will greet you with a smile and a polite “Good Morning” etc. One more thing that you should quickly see if you stay here is the number of signs that say “Sorry, not in Service” from lifts, beer taps, coffee machines etc. We counted as many as five signs in one day. One more thing to keep in mind is that they add “10%” service charge in the restaurant, the food is good, but the service is slow.

Not massively high expectations checking in something comfortable and functional was all I was expecting/ needed as travelling for business. Pleasantly surprised with the leisure centre. Used the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna all of which were clean and an added bonus. Room was fine bed and pillows good only issue was there was adjoining room and even though they weren't particularly noisy I could hear more than I wanted and at times it was a distraction while trying to fall asleep. Breakfast was as expected no complaints at all had everything I wanted and no issues with quality. Located near sutton train starion and 5 min walking distance of many places to eat and drink. Overall was happy with 3 night stay.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast had a good variety of options and was well staffed. It is a short walk to several local pubs, shopping, and the train station. My only complaint is that one elevator was out of order during my seven day stay and the up call button was not always working on the ground floor for the remaining elevator.

Lovely Venue to hold an event. My Gaming Table supplied blackjack and roulette tables for Sutton Foster Carers annual event. Staff at The Holiday Inn were more than helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn at Sutton. The bedroom was of a good size and comfortable. We had a drink and sandwich at the bar with quick service and a good standard of food for lunch. However breakfast on Saturday 14th April was chaotic with a wait for milk, glasses water! Which were not on the table! There seemed to be a lack of sufficient staff and this with the breakfast restaurant only half full.

Got the most amazing room I have ever stayed in, was huge (corner room) with fantastic views of London. Very good breakfast buffet included in price. Restaurant spotlessly clean and hotel staff extremely friendly. Added bonus of free pool, spa and gym which was fantastic especially the jacuzzi. Left hotel feeling very refreshed and relaxed.

Pretty much a dive! superannuated rooms, even the hair dryer is missing. And not enough, a room at 254 euros per night! They're crazy! I'm Brexit!

Avoid! avoid! avoid! avoid! avoid at all cost, especially if you your are planning on taking children. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! This hotel doesnt even deserve a one star but that was the lowest I could rate. I really dont know where to start with our nightmare experience at this HELL HOLE, yes I did say HELL HOLE as that what it is. I got there on Friday evening with my daughter for a spa weekend break. The room was okay, bathroom could do with a facelift, beds were comfortable. Unfortunately the towels which were provided smelt dirty as if someone had previously used them. On the evening of our arrivals we went to the restaurant to have dinner at about 8:15, sat down and was ignored by staff, practically had to constantly waved to get someone their attention. We placed our order at about 8:35 dinner didn't arrived until 9:50. Had to call for the Duty Manager (Female wearing glasses) who looked very unprofessional dressed in Jeans and Trainers. She came over apologies and gave some silly excuse about it was busy after getting very crossed she admitted to us that our meal was brought to the wrong table, by this time my daughter is is 6 years old started crying because she was really hungry. Now on to the following evening. My daughter wasn't keen on going back to the restaurant after what had happened the previous night we decided to do room service instead rang room service (19:37) after calling room service over dinner eventually arrived 9:56.

I attended an over 30's function. Was a fantastic night. Good music and great atmosphere.

Room was clean, Reasonable price, good breakfast (not so many kind of food)

Very expensive coffee. Pleasant enough facilities. Could do with updating and better lighting in conference rooms.

We have swimming lessons in the pool and it is fab. Everyone in he gym is so friendly the pool is always a good temperature for the babies and service is always said with a smile. Free fruit on entry/exit to the hotel perfect for hungry kids finishing their lessons.

The reception lad was lovely and welcoming he organised a cab and let us park for 2 days as I had to go to Royal Marsden and was informed that there was limited parking there. We used the pool and steam room and facilities were good. The main restaurant was closed on Sunday but we were able to eat in the bar area which was comfy enough. The food was good for the money. Breakfast was a bit cold and obviously over cooked as it was under the hot lamps. Maybe they should take orders instead. The room was decorated tastefully and the bed was comfy. Would definitely stay here again.

Went last Friday 15th December for our office party. The food was appalling, cold and poor quality. Getting a drink was impossible due to lack of staff I even spoke to the manager on duty who didn't offer much of a solution other than to go behind the bar herself, the bar ran out of many products early on again bad management. The only plus was the music which livened things up otherwise this would have been a disastrous night. It is clear that the Holiday Inn goes for maximum turnover and profit over quality and customer service. I would never consider a Christmas party there again.

Staff very rude. Food was absolutely discussing. Had work Christmas party on the 9th December 2017. Never again. Chef need to be sacked for really serving that up. Plates where cold. Food was cold. No butter. Drink where over priced. £35 RIP off.

Work Christmas party. No wine available to buy in the bar, no water served on the dinner table. No dancing hall or for. Had to dance in the buffet area. But location is accessible with within easy reach to all public transport and complementary free car parking.

The room was basic and clean. It was a little cramped but gave all that was required for an overnight stay. Service was good and given with a warm smile.

The check in receptionist (who was new) was very lovely and welcoming. The bed was very comfy and I got a good night sleep! I just wouldnt eat there again and it was a bit of a pain ordering a simple drink.
I asked for a gin and tonic, the girls said is that Bacardi? No Gin? I said just the house gin is fine, she took about a minute (Gordon's and Bombay where right in front of her)
At dinner the waitress was the same girl and I wanted a red wine, so I rather went to the bar to ask a question, she came over and said she can take my order, I said no don't worry I wanted to ask a question, she replied I know about the wines, I said ok which one of the reds is the driest … she didn't know, she had to ask herself.
Food, well started was as expected Nachos you can't go very wrong, when done the waitress said am I ready for my main, Yes, (I ordered the burger for the main) It came out with in 10 seconds which indicated it's been cooked for some while! The bottom of the burger was so wet it was dripping, the chips where fried so much in oil they where hard so I left it… I would have complained but I didn't see anyone or no one came over to me for the 25-30 minutes I was sitting there with half my food left over. So I left and came back after 5 minutes with them in a panic that I went. Asked me to sign and moved on … no How was your dinner …?

Stayed overnight as part of my wife's professional event with my 2 year old son. Pros: — Great location right in the town centre, walking distance to everything, eg train station, supermarket, high street, and shopping centre. — really friendly and helpful staff willing to accommodate everything for you. Now the cons (a bit longer, sadly) — the whole building as well as the rooms are all quite old and tired. Could do with refreshening up. — small, possibly just our room but with a double bed and a travel cot, that was pretty much it and not much room to move about particularly for our little one. — no fridge. Really could have been useful to keep milk for our 2 year old — grimy bathroom and the whole room could have done with a thorough clean and descaling. — breakfast, very average at best. Overcooked food, rubbery scrambled eggs, fresh fruit but very little in terms of variety.

Close to Station, nice clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Good variety breakfast (go early).

On-site parking, comfortable bed, spacious and great shower. Window wouldn't open so quite hot and all but 2 beers on tap were empty in the bar.

I have had the pleasure of decorating the function room, the staff and manager Sam was absolutely wonderful can't complain. Very helpful in meeting your need for your event. It's was an absolute pleasure working with the team.

Very helpful staff, both on the reception desk and working around the hotel. I was late for breakfast one day and they waited for me to eat before closing up! Rooms are spacious and well-kept. Lovely stay :)

The Sutton Holiday Inn is best avoided like the plague — the parking is hopelessly inadequate and expensive, the rooms are poorly finished & noisy, and if you make the mistake of trying to order food — in the restaurant you can expect a 35-40 wait for you food to arrive (that's after the extensive wait to even get the attention of a member of staff). The telephone number for room service rings out without ever being answered — we had to complain at the front desk to get something ordered. To top it off, despite leaving the supplied sign on the door saying we did NOT want the room cleaned — a cleaner entered our room while we were out, tidied, and left along with a £10 note and small change we'd left out on the dressing table. Likewise a relative staying in a room on the same floor as us also had a necklace stolen, again despite putting out the sign saying no cleaner wanted. Staff were utterly uninterested, and simply said "not our problem call the police if you're bothered". On the morning we left, I again put the sign up saying no cleaner wanted — my wife left the room and headed downstairs — and I remained in the room to finish packing. Within 5 minutes a cleaner let herself in, holding the sign she'd removed from the door! Shocked to be confronted by myself, she muttered an excuse, rehung the sign and left. Seriously don't trust these guys with your belongings.

Quiet and close clean place has everything.

Been before. Perfectly adequate, clean comfortable room. Good sized bed, very comfy. Very powerful shower. Air conditioning could be a bit quieter and more effective when it gets very hot. Overall pretty good experience.

Dirty bathroom and old rooms.

Stayed there during Wimbledon week. We did not pay for an Executive room so no fridge in our room. We asked at reception if we could put ice packs in their freezer. They actually delivered a mini fridge freezer to our room. We froze our ice packs, saved us a fortune on drink prices at Wimbledon. Always the small things that make the difference. Staff v friendly, nice room, breakfast good too. Thanks Tony Shally.

Standards are slipping here. There is an overall tired and unloved feeling about this hotel. The room was just OK, with two double beds and just enough room to walk around them. A bowl of fruit in reception highlighted the problems; someone had taken a bite from an apple and dropped it on the floor. That apple was there first thing and still there a few hours later (right opposite reception! ). Breakfast was very disappointing with almost grey crumbly scrambled egg more befitting a Holiday Inn Express. This property needs modernising fairly urgently before it's too late. If it wasn't so well located to reach London, I doubt it would survive.

Stayed overnight while attending a social function at the hotel. Check in staff very efficient, polite and friendly. Rooms nice and clean. Would stay again.

Came here for a family birthday party initial impressions were pay for parking not happy, distracted receptionist, not happy, bar staff in the downstairs bar impolite and hassled, not happy. Considering they had a booked function for a Saturday night. They had run out of two of the main beers being Boddingtons and Budweiser, which I thought was appalling. The function room itself was too hot and poor air conditioning the rooms themselves are too hot with poor air conditioning. We did have a problem with our shower which was in fairness rectified very quickly. There was also a real lack of suitable bar staff throughout the function resulting in Long Waits to purchase a drink. The one bar man that was on duty had no real customer skills to speak of and seems to be in a permanent bad mood with no sense of humour or customer engagement.
There were a lot of staff on hand to clear up unfortunately removing some drinks that were not finished.
I got the impression they were more focused on clearing the room rather than making it a pleasant experience for the people there. I have had some good experiences with holiday Inns, but this certainly was not one of them.
I also understand that they messed up the original booking which resulted in them having to upgrade the people that booked it. This was also after trying to hike the price buy about £200 without any notice. They withdrew this excess charge after the customer threatend to cancel the whole booking.

Easy for parking either under building or in outside car park. £7 a day for parking. All staff extremely friendly and can't do enough for you. Leisure facilities on site good with warm swimming pool, steam rooms poolside jacuzzi and fitness suite. Good bar and catering with extremely comfortable rooms. Tea and coffee provided in rooms.

My friends called me from the Hotel, where their luggages got stolen from their rooms. The Hotel crew are thieves. Don't go there by all means. They claim they are not responsible for the theft.

When we booked this hotel we were amazed how expensive it was — £344 for 2 rooms for 1 night. We arrived ecpecting a plush hotel but were dissappointmed straight away, we were given a complimentaqry biscuit at reception which was a bit strange, then were very disappointmed with the grubby dated state of the hotel. The rooms were clean but the furniture and carpets were worn and tired aswell as the decor, it is still stuck in the 1970's. The bathrooms were really small with hardly enough room to turn around. The gym is tiny with very little equipment. The food and restaurant staff were very good. Overall very disappointed and will never return.

It was the best hotel ever.

I stayed here last night for a business trip and found the facilities and staff to be of the highest standards. In particular, my stay was made all the more enjoyable by the restaurant and bar staff, Oleh, Milene and Viktorija who were the most pleasant and attentive.

Quite good, very comfortable rooms and friendly staff, I love the place.

I took my family of 13 to celebrate a special birthday. Ages ranged from 3 to 93. We had 5 rooms and stayed for one night, dinner and breakfast. The hotel and bedrooms was clean and tidy. All staff were helpful and willing to please. Dinner was up to a very good standard, the children were specifically catered for. Waiting staff were attentive and the chef came to check that everything was satisfactory. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. We were able to make use of the comfortable lounge area and the pool in the attached leisure centre. The only reasons I have not been able to make this a 5 star is because one bedroom was still being prepared on our arrival and one lift was closed for refurbishment which sometimes meant await. I would certainly visit again and recommend the hotel to others.
