The location is good, our room was clean quiet and comfortable. The hotel appears freshly refurbished. Staff were helpful and efficient. It is obviously popular and understandbly so.

Lovely one night stay — we found the hotel to be in a fabulous location — (literally in the doorstep of the deer park and river), food was fabulous — we ended up having lunch, dinner and breakfast which we hadn’t planned on when we booked the room — but good value excellent food made our decision for us

144 on the Hill Richmond is always a pleasant experience if you havnt tried this chefs food then its a must — staff were very accomondating due to weather being a little windy with outside dining but they did everything to make the lunch perfect — thank you all for your efforts and 5 star to the chef.

A wonderful hotel on Richmond Hill with a welcoming bar and restaurant. They also offer fantastic picnics that you can take away to eat in Richmond Park. Just love this place.

For me, one of the best hotels in Richmond. I was a guest at Alexander's funeral on 3rd of March. I was amazed at the service and hospitality provided by Imran and his team. Imran and his deidcated team gave more than 100% to ensure the guests were comfortable.

Great room, very clean, staff were friendly and helpful, my booking didn’t have breakfast included and the breakfast price initially made me think of going elsewhere but I’m so glad I didn’t. It was the best I’ve had, massive selection, quality throughout you really get what you pay for as it’s different league to cheaper alternatives. I look forwards to staying here again. I stayed with my 9yr old and she loved it too.

The hotel is very comfortable and the staff are delightfully charming, friendly and help but PLEASE … find something other than butternut squash to feed vegetarians!

Lovely hotel. I'm a disabled person who uses a mobility scooter. Nothing was too much trouble for staff. A ramp was put in to allow me access to the building and the lift and then room was large enough to accommodate my scooter with excellent facilities to ensure that the 2 night was stay was comfortable and luxurious. Will definitely highly recommend the hotel and look forward staying here again in the future. Thank you for making my first visit to London so enjoyable.

Clever use of space in the rooms, the bed… Oh my god the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Lovely service, food and bar. Parking was a bit tight.

Great place for a quiet weekend get away! I love to comeback in the winter time. Staff are very courteous and helpful. The restaurant lounge is very well designed in its Olde English charm! Love it! Comfy!

I very rarely write reviews but had to on this occasion. Right from check in the staff were amazing — very friendly and welcoming. The new decor throughout the hotel is stunning and the food in the restaurant was outstanding. We have the venison wellington to share and it was quite possibly one of the best meals I have had. Not to mention the espresso martinis with popcorn on top. Perfect stay — Well done Richmond Hill Hotel. We will be back.

I have enjoyed the stay with my son and husband. I loved Emi's professionalism and attention to detail! His drink presentation, lemon grass and gin super good! Staff in breakfast room is, very friendly and attentive to kids.

Nice hotel in a beautiful neighborhood. The prices are relatively reasonable considering that Richmond Hill isn't the cheapest place in London. The service, the food, bar staff etc were all very pleasant.

Stayed here for two days and one night for a corporate event.
Found the service from all people was very good, breakfast was really good, evening meal was exceptional (I had the duck breast) only bit that let it down was the lunch.

The receptionists are so welcoming, very friendly. From day one they very accommodating. Fell in love with rooms. The breakfast is lovely, fresh. My wife is mildly celiac and they made her a gluten free breakfast each morning of our stay. So they are very accommodating to dietary needs, you do need to tell them when you book, so they know. You can order your breakfast in your room too. They do have disabled friendly rooms too, you need to notify them. Very clean! Would definitely go back.

Located in the tranquil Richmond hill area, surrounded by the Richmond park, overlooking the winding Thames flowing into central London. If you want to enjoy central London then probably not a convenient place. Building is old but facility is ok. I stayed in the Marlborough Suite on the second floor, not too much view. As it’s in the older wing of the building, no lift to take you up, but thanks to the receptionist who helped to carry my luggage up.

Lovely hotel that has now been refurbished to a high standard. Great afternoon tea. Also plenty of meeting rooms. A historic building so plenty of character. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel with good facilities. Excellent location. Staff and facilities very good. Room was very clean, bathroom could be a bit fresher. Our room on the third floor was nice but slightly slanted floor, I guess due to the age of the building and floors were creaky which was a bit annoying when trying to sleep. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

We were at the Richmond Hill Hotel for a wedding reception. The evening was brilliant, plenty of seating for all guests, the food was lovely, drinks were pricey, but to be expected. Good sized dance floor & really decent DJ — although not sure if they were hired otherwise! Would highly recommend for similar evening events.

Like a 1980s Rolls Royce: luxury that's a little tired. We had a lovely double room, not huge but space enough. However the bathroom was less impressive: hot water never more than tepid, cracked tiles, rattling extractor fan, bits of trim missing and an old neon light that started with blink blink blink … pause … ping! And then there's the stairs. Our room was 27 stairs (some little flights up, some down) and 5 firedoors from the lift. It was quicker to leg it up & down the fire exit to get to and from reception. Same thing to get to the restaurant: up 10 stairs, down 5, up 10, down 10… If you use a wheelchair or just struggle with stairs, you'll find this hotel a challenge. Staff are friendly and helpful.

A good and decent place to stay in Richmond… just across the street you can spend your time looking at the Thames… I have stayed there a couple of times… Rooms are neat and clean … not quite spacious though… Free Wi-Fi… Ample parking for your cars (Parking charges apply) … There's a nice restaurant (Pembrokes) which serves you a simple breakfast and has got a small bar counter… Staff are also quite courteous and helpful.

Stayed for 18 nights and Every single day different staff I came in contact with and all are very helpful and good manner. Day to day breakfast was always hot, rooms was right for comfort and the view from out side looking down to the river was amazing. I'll certainly stay here again for work of pleasure trip.

Staff were very courteous as you would expect and the Hotel rooms and areas were clean and well presented. However for a 4 star rated hotel, and for the price booked for a 'Hill Collection Suite', I was overall disappointed with our experience. Room was smaller than photos showed and the layout of our 'Suite' was quite poor. There was barely any difference between a 'Hill Collection Double' and the 'Hill Collection Suite' apart from a considerable price increase. The much advertised "Super King Sized Mattress" was simply 2 mattresses pushed together, resulting in a grand canyon sized crevasse running down the middle of the bed. Bar fridge was empty, and only 1 bottle of water offered even though the booking was for 2 guests. The view from the premium room was of the rear carpark, not very inspiring. On Saturday evening the Guest Services desk would not answer the phone (tried 3 times in the space of about 20mins), meaning I had to head downstairs to reception to ask for the Sky TV pin number to access any film other than for children, as this number was not available anywhere in the room. It's these little things that matter when booking a premium room in a premium hotel.

This is a truly wonderful place in a great location and with all of the amenities one could ever wish for. Fantastic views nearby and just a short walk to Richmond Park. Lots of secure parking available.

The building is historic but for sure needs a bit of maintenance. Every morning I was waken by the cracking noise of quests staying above my room, as floor cracked whenever someone walked on it. Not sure if it’s a single case or what. Location is nice on top of the hill though.

Stayed for a night in Richmond Hill hotel. It is located in the centre of the city and has stunning views outside the hotel. I got a glimpse of the views which made me very happy. The hotel is clean and compact, so compact that the bathroom just about fits me.

Truly appalled and astonished following the recent cancellation of a reservation by Richmond Hill Hotel which we made made almost a year ago for the upcoming EngvIre Rugby weekend. Reason given, a group staying in hotel that weekend grew and required more rooms. Now four weeks to event we are left without accommodation as ‘alternative’ Hotel suggested is not suitable (4 miles away, no amenities and beside a motorway). Why should we be inconvenienced in favour of another booking who now decide they need more rooms? We booked early knowing Hotel would be in high demand now it seems first come first served does not apply, nor does the fact that we have stayed a number of times in the past. My advice anyone intending to book a room in Richmond find somewhere else to avoid disappointment especially if you are there for an event. How can any reservation ever be trusted!

My husband and I stayed here for one night for a relaxing weekend in London. The hotel is in a wonderful location, next to Richmond park and a gorgeous walk along the river towards the centre of Richmond and the station. The hotel staff was friendly and our room was light, modern and very comfortable (my husband particularly enjoyed having Sky Sports). There was a good amount of choice for breakfast and we used the leisure facilities too. The hotel is easy to get to and has convenient and reasonably priced overnight parking. We got a good price for the room too so it was very good value for money.

Stayed in the hill collection suite for our anniversary! Room was amazing, food was also great! All in all a great stay. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful hotel. Few minutes walk to Richmond Park and Terrace Gardens. Breakfast was good but was too busy. There was not enough staff to clear the tables and serve the guests.

When you get the wine don’t rely on the bar staff to recommend a wine for you try it first because they have a manager that’s gets a bit up he’s self.

The building has character and it's clean and nicely decorated. But beyond the veneer it is quite basic. They seem to have stripped away some of the little things that I actually quite value… such as a bath robe, a shaving mirror, a face cloth. And in this day and age… instant coffee in a sachet is just… low rent. Despite this, I've been coming for years and I still have a soft spot for it, maybe it's the location a short walk from Richmond shops, restaurants, bars, and the river.

I've been to the Richmond Hill Hotel quite a few times, and since the remodeling the hotel is great. The rooms look and feel more modern and the staff is helpful. If I had to find something to complain about it would be the food. Every other meal besides breakfast is inconsistent. Breakfast is the only meal that is consistently good. But that is a minor complaint as there are plenty of other locations to eat at in the area.

Very large hotel with conference facilities weddings etc. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff very helpful. Comfy beds great breakfast. Very close to river and parkland for nice walks. Restaurant very good too.

I went to this hotel for a Work Function and stayed over for the night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very up to date, clean and very comfortable. If I'm ever going to this area again I will look at booking.

Attended a wedding in the Oak room. Very pleasant surroundings with staff that are only too happy to help out. A very pleasant experience. Oh yes, their pastry chef is a genius!

Disappointed with hotel. Room nothing special. Location of WC in a very cramped alcove in narrow bathroom (room 340). Asked for a room with a view so we had a glimpse of Richmond park (buildings opposite blocked the view). Bathroom blind was dusty. Cooked breakfast was lukewarm at best (£12.75 each). Maybe I'm expecting too much for £118 room only 1 night. But it looked luxurious on website. Hotel is really more geared up for weddings, conferences etc. Richmond is really lovely-highly recommend it and great real ale pub (The Roebuck) serving good food a few minutes walk down the road towards the town.

Lovely reception. Food was well presented and tasty. Accomodated for different diets well and service was very good. Decor nice. Not sure why I had to pay £5 parking whilst attending an event though.

Wonderful location, with great views over Richmond Park from just outside. Really lovely hotel, recently redecorated so very plush and well finished. Food was tasty though not exceptional. Staff were fairly haphazard, not slick at all, kept having to direct them to people and asking for plates not received. Information regarding the event I attended were not passed along so mistakes were made and staff at reception had no idea about the detail of parking arrangements made by those hosting and various other things. All seemed hard work to for the staff to do what we would consider regular requests by guests at a high quality hotel.

Lovely hotel, we stayed with a wedding party. The weather was lovely all weekend that made our stay very pleasant. The hotel located within a few metres from entrance to the Richmond park. My husband took opportunity to do his Saturday morning park run. Opposite the hotel is a lovely terrace with a beautiful view over Thames. It is great for a stroll along the river or along the main road too. Hotel was pleasant and clean. Service and reception were good. I would say the hotel is overpriced and the rooms look much older than they shown on the pictures on their website. We ate in the hotel in the evening and at the wedding, food was good. Breakfast was generous too with options of cooked breakfast, fruits, toasts etc.

The room was small but really comfortable — positioned in an ideal location to walk around Richmond Park and along the river. We had an incredible meal that was included in the price and the service was first class. The pool and the hydrotherapy pool was brilliant but book in advance for treatments as I was not able to get a treatment. The breakfast buffet was also first rate and included in the price. Amazing I will definitely be staying again.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Our room was a Georgian suite — perfectly nice, with a great view of the Thames. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening which was very nice, but breakfast was pretty average. There were two weddings when we there and it seemed like the staff were a little bit stretched at times. All in all though a good hotel, especially if you want to be next to Richmond park!

Brilliant afternoon tea, always use this place for afternoon tea! BUT every time I book online the booking is never in your diary. It's a running joke now and while we have never been turned away, the bookings simply aren't transferred over to ur book. Staff brilliant and value for money for a posher afternoon tea ☕️

Lovely hotel. The staff were helpful although English may not be their first language. Compared to other hotels the towels were small, the iron burnt. But this is trivial compared to the splendor of the hotel and the parking facilities when you have a 4x4.

Lovely location although need a taxi to the station. Hotel is clean, tidy and staff are pleasant. We found the service very slow in the restaurant on both evenings. Food was good but could be improved on, lacking in that little bit extra.

Had my wedding reception at Richmond Hill Hotel. The experience was rather conflicting. While few of the staff we dealt with were very understanding, pleasant, even went out of the way to be accommodating, unfortunately our event manager on the day who was overseeing the event was a total disaster, an utter nightmare. She was rather cross that we were taking a long time for photographs and we wouldn't start the reception dot on time at 6pm. Meals … people were not given a choice as instructed. She even decided to argue with my husband re the matter while we were sat down eating dinner at the top table. That was totally unacceptable. We paid for drinks but none was offered to children including my daughter who was at the top table. Parents were forced to buy expensive drinks for their children when all of that was paid for… Obviously, there was no mention of a refund when the issue was raised to the manager afterwards. Finally, most of my guests were not served the wedding cake. Why? Because the person in charge could not be bothered. Very Disappointing…

Pleasant hotel, gym and spa in a decent location to enjoy Richmond and surrounds. Clean, attractive rooms and interior throughout the hotel, staff friendly. However, in the bar and restaurant, service was extremely slow considering it was not particularly busy. The rooms are also a little small. The swimming pool is pleasant, however the weights room contains old, not well kept equipment.

As a seasoned traveler I have stayed in many a hotel and I can easily say this is the worst. From the moment I booked the room to the moment I checked out has been nothing but a disappointment. When they say 'spa' they really mean leisure centre, everyone and anyone has access to the facilities. It's filthy, run down and you can't even access it from the hotel directly. The room I booked clearly stated I had access to a fridge which again on arrival it didn't have. When I asked at reception to be either moved rooms or to be refunded in full the manger declined and offered no form of compensation, not that I wanted it but it would have been nice considering how unhappy I was. My room was over looking several generators so my nights sleep was dreadful, it was like sleeping on the M4. In my opinion anyone looking to stay here may as well save there money and book themselves into the travel lodge down the road and go out for dinner.
