They cull the beautiful deer, the over feed them so they have more deer then cull them for meat and shooting business.

Beautiful, extensive park. Lovely to see the deer, I just wish the public wouldn't feed them!
Lack of toilets for such a big area.

I personally loved it, as did my children, ages 6-21 — Lovely place if you like photography, nature in abundance, picnics and the history behind it is interesting too — a great place to hike, jog, cycle or just spend time exploring the vast area; however some of the cyclists were extremely aggressive and despite there being a 20 mph speed restriction in place that many cars stuck too, a lot of cyclists were going much faster than this, MUCH faster while yelling for people to "get off the effing road"! Never mind though as there are plenty of sticks and branches from the Oaks and many other trees in the park — let the sticks meet the spokes!

FAR too many aggressive cyclists using this “nature reserve” as a race track, riding way too fast and posing a constant threat to both wildlife and visitors.

Full of deer, except on cull day when they shoot many down : ( Wild and pretty messy, if you are into cycling and running, you’ll like it here. One cafe/restaurant in the space of multiple acres; that’s a separate review though. A favourite on sunny days, watch out those deer when on a bootcamp!

An absolutely beautiful park that I have been visiting since the age of 17. My children loved seeing the deer and experiencing the wonderful freedom that it offered. We would stop by Pembroke Lodge for its sumptuous cuisine once we had walked for miles.

Nice playground but no shade hardly. Be good to have a bit more planting around it too. Feels a bit sterile. Nice sand pit and water fountain thing though.

The traffic is getting significantly heavier as our population continues to grow and serious consideration as to the protection of biodiversity and combating pollution is needed in the few free greenfield areas that exist for the public in London such as Richmond Park. Ideally parking charges and nominal toll booths need to be installed but as a starter traffic free days would be a great test! In addition, I am seeing more and more cases of people feeding and getting close to the deer. Strict penalty fines should be given to these people with rangers having the power to implement this.

Well spaced out playground with lots for children of all ages. The sand and water are always popular. Not too far to walk up the hill to Pembroke Lodge for refreshments if needed. Toilets right next to playground, which is very handy. Very easy to get to from Kingston, either the 65 or 371 buses.

As soon as we arrived here with our toddler I knew we had to come back. The equipment is all well maintained and in good working order and it's all very kid-friendly for a variety of ages. There's lots of different play areas with lots of space around each, including the classics like swings and a slide, but also a big sand pit with a water feature and a rope climbing tower. The whole playground is well-kept and tidy, the pathways are smooth and clearly marked, the plants and lawn groomed, and the best thing: onsite restroom that is one of the cleanest of its type I've seen. Can't wait to return!
