This house was advertised as a Hotel on a popular discount site. When we arrived, my family was scared to death to stay there… the area is VERY dark, and the front yard is entirely gravel, which was very difficult to drag your luggage through. This place looked like a haunted house. When we booked, the website somehow changed our number of guests, so I called and talked to one of the proprietors, and he told me everything was good. However, after we stayed there, they charged my credit card an extra 25 pounds without informing us they were doing this. We only stayed there for 4 hours (12am to 4am… because our inbound flight was delayed, and we had an early flight the next morning), and we didn't even take showers. I highly recommend against this "guest house". It is not a hotel, but a house in which they rent out rooms. The rooms smell pretty musty, the floors and stairs creak, and the beds are very uncomfortable.
I stayed here a few weeks ago and can honestly say the outside is maintained better than the inside. Quiet enough place until you hear the hot water being used. The room was dusty and looked and felt like it had not had a thorough clean for who can say how long. The toilet had not been cleaned properly and the shower well don't expect much. I can't comment on the staff other than I didnt know who they were as I didn't see or hear from a single one of them durig my 4 night stay. God only knows how old the mattresses were as they were not at all comfortable. Safe to say I shall not be staying here again. I was very disappointed considering the write up they give themselves.
