Stayed overnight (had to vacate the house for our daughter’s 18th). Very clean, comfortable room & reasonably priced.

Nice quiet place for a drink. Comfortable seating.

Great place, great atmosphere! Stayed overnight, bed was really comfortable (if a little squeaky) the fire alarm went off at 12:40am, but that was probably to do with the fact it's a pub which stays open til 2am and may have been down do drunken hi jinks. Definitely would stay there again.

Expensive, but good atmosphere and good service.

Far too many underage drinkers. Puts the older people off going there. No door staff to check Id's… leaving the bar staff to check ages while in the pub. Music is wrong… but not down to the DJ… owners take heed… your pub will die… because of the reins attached to those who make the Stag what it has the true potential to be! Shame on you!

Real nice friendly place very close to the high street plenty to do and if you need to travel there's a bus stop adjacent. Down side no car park.

We booked a room with a separate private bathroom, which happened to be on a different floor distant from our room. It was awkward. The room had a very stained carpet and furniture. The bedding and the towels were nice and fresh but the mattress was cheap and bad. The TV screen was the size of a laptop. The windows had sliding panels that didn't work properly and there were filthy blinds. One of the windows was facing the bus station that was very noisy. The bathroom was unattractive as a huge boiler was on display and the toilet was very unclean.

Great pub, staff have always been great. Be nice to have a couple more craft beers on tap but the Peroni is wonderful.

Comfortable, clean. Great location for public transport. Pub location and variety of eateries nearby.

It's what should be a quiet Saturday afternoon and there are three customers. Funnily enough, the music in here is loud enough to give you a major headache. I wonder if that has anything to do with why it's empty? Never used to be like this. They also have a minimum spend of a tenner by card. Fairly unacceptable in 2018.

Good late night pub. Friendly staff and comfy chairs. On the pricey side but overall nice place.

Ruined my daughter's 18th birthday that we organised to hold there, I arranged everything with the manager at the beginning and "everything" was possible, we were allowed many people and that she was fine with youngsters. On the day everything changed and it wasn’t done in private it was with everyone watching. "Harassment is when someone behaves in a way which offends you or makes you feel distressed or intimidated" this quote highlights exactly how they made me feel when forcing me to send everybody home. I am still felling distressed until now. i just wish I never stepped foot in this pub. also they have the guts to offer a botle of prosecco to say sorry, we are have been scarred and nothing is going to bring back the joy we wished for. THE STAFF WERE VERY RUDE I don't recommended this place at all.

A family atmosphere, quiet, a small pub with attached rooms, neat in detail, clean, well furnished and easily reachable by means (bus stop for Liverpool Street just below). In the evenings we stopped in the pub where we found good beer, music and nice people.

Small but cozy pub with rooms available upstairs. Open late on weekends with a lively buzzing atmosphere.

I am ranking The Stag as a 5 because the staff went above and beyond to help me when my bank shut down my card because I neglected to let them know I was traveling to the UK. I was offered the phone and had the issue resolved. My fiance and I found the room quaint and cozy. I loved the narrow stairs and interesting setup. There is a lot of history to The Stag and I am actually looking to book again for December!

Visited on a Saturday night with friends, and was a nice atmosphere as a small intimate pub however a DJ plays on Saturday night from about 21:30 which seemed unnecessary as there was only around 15 people in the pub. The space could have been used for extra indoor seating instead as it was small downstairs. We left due to wanting a quieter atmosphere but overall the pub was well kept, comfortable, clean and good selection of drinks. Selection of Ciders was decent however personal preferance would have preferred Old Mout, Orchard pigs, Westons or Aspall over Thatchers, Kopperberg and Stella Cidre.

My time at the Stag was great, I found the staff really helpful and the atmosphere really relaxing. I sometimes go there for an evening meal or to meet friends. It's great because it's a little out of the way so I find it more chilled. Looking forward to the next time.

Good food, nice courtyard. Also a Pokemon gym! Great stop for raids.

Clean interior. Not much choice. No food available (apart from crisps), but if you are there for a particular game it is quite handy. Nice toilets. Great music when I was there (80s/90s stuff), at a reasonable level.

Came in and stood by the door with my small dog for a glass of tap water, on this hot muggy summers day — had no change in me at the time, so told him. I was just going to quench my diabetic thrust and leave — or drink it outside — guy at bar said he was “too busy” to serve me a glass of tap water (in a pub) and “we don’t allow dogs in anyway”, and gestured for me to leave. There wasn’t anyone queuing at the bar, but he was speaking to someone, I didn’t interrupt them and I …could have waited for him to finish his conversation. Never mind, There was another establishment up the road who was more obliging and less belittling. Nice ambiance though, perhaps I’ll be allowed to see the rest of it some time.

Nice pub although can become quite cramped on weekends. Jukebox but no pool table. Adequate drinks selection.

Nice for a late one, but no real ale and pints are expensive.

It was great. Try going if you can. Comfy beds, delicious food and drinks readily available whenever you need any.

Went for a quiet drink after dinner with missus, the bar was not too busy and we were able to find seats. Nice settings all round.

Room was pleasant enough. Bar noise was ongoing till late which might be a problem for some people. No formal checkout process. Perfect for somewhere to stay if you need to be in Enfield; not too far from Enfield Chase either.

Not the same as it used to be. Deserted on a Saturday night and quite expensive.

Love this place! Loved it before the refurbishment, now fallen for it all over again. Great atmosphere, very welcoming team and great drinks! Plus a heavenly outside area. What more could you ask for?!

We think that this particular Pub & Guest House is a near perfect Mr. & Mrs. Smith destination. The guest rooms have been very well designed for the available space — ALL rooms are en suite. Security is first class with Private Entrance — not through the pub. Our criticism and the reason we did not give five stars is the "Mickey Mouse" TV set-up / a Ravider Antenna no less, in this day and age — not good.

Great meal deals, and fabulous value for money rooms!

One of the few late license places nearby which isn't a club or full-on bar. Restaurant upstairs also good for gatherings.

Just another over-priced wannabe gastro pub with a quite unadventurous, pedestrian menu. At least the beer was well-kept and served with a half-smile. Distinctly average.
