Very poor. Thread bear carpets. Tea stains on wall. Cold bathroom. Poor parking. Uncomfortable bed. Noise from other guests.

Terrible, worn out carpets, uncomfortable bed, cold bathroom, shower weak, very limited parking, dirty walls with tea stains down them. Don't waste your money.

Took ages to answer the door, thought we had booked double not twin. Room was very basic, no handle on toilet door let alone a lock. No toilet paper. We moved rooms next door, not much better. Loud humming noise when ever anyone uses a tap in the building. Parking no longer available outside have to find your own.

The hotel very English and very shabby very expensive for the smell of mold for any scent of ambience.

It is not a hotel but just a bedroom where some have an ensuite shower and toilet and others fora less fee, don't. Pros: You have towels, soap, tea bags, coffee sachets with little milk and a cup with a glass. And there is a television. There is a kettle in the room too. Cons: No double glazing window. So if you are in a room at the front, well. Also, the secondary glaze is worthless. You do feel a draft. If you run out of toilet paper or tea ect or your bins needs emptying, you have to go and empty the bin and ask receptionist for more supplies. The night receptionist disppears into his room. So, if you run out of toilet roll, you then knock on his room a night and hope that he is not annoyed for waking him up. Carpet is dark and carpeted box. Could need a steam clean. The oven in the kitchen is labled staff only. We can use the microwave They don't offer room service but they may enter your room to possibly open your window and check your bed?

Not Worth the Money Pros: Clean Room, Parking, Friendly Staff, Tea Making Facility in the room Cons: Small Room, Smelly Toilet and very noisy toilet waste pump whenever you flush or use the sink. Very Very disturbing. Personally, I would not stay here next time. Id rather drive towards the M25 motorway and stay in a bigger hotel. This place is too small, too noisy… NOT WORTH THE Money Tip: You can do better with you money.

This is the most useless lodges I have ever lived in my entire life. The rooms are small and the beds are incredibly old and creaky. Dirty and stained bedspreads. Customer service is definitely a big issue with Oak Lodge. Their photoshopped images paints an opposite impression of the place. Dont waste your hard earned cash there. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It's a nice quiet hotel free Wi-Fi for what I'm after its sound… Im not flash, down to earth n I fit in. Marbel floors n big lobbys dont get 5stars in my world.

A very quiet and clean hotel though hotel is a word too big to refer to this site. I think your best definition is hostel, pension or similar. It is an old English house converted into lodging. I think you can have breakfast although I did not try it all week and didn't even offer it to me. If you are looking for a cheap place near London this is your place. The people who run it are super friendly and helpful. But I wouldn't repeat.

This hotel's only saving grace is Julie, the most attentive receptionist I've ever had the pleasure of encountering. She was not only extremely helpful, but also understanding, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were as comfortable as possible considering the circumstances. The rooms are very small and really need updating, showers are temperamental, (scalding hot/freezing cold/scalding hot) there is a humming noise that vibrates on and off all through the night, I think it's something to do with the toilet systems. The fire alarm went off at 3am waking us all up. And the bathroom had a prolific mouldy smell and no ventilation. Breakfasts are continental and served in the rooms, no breakfast room available. Bedding and towels were clean and rooms cleaned daily. Personally I would not visit this hotel again, purely due to the size of the rooms and the lack of cooked breakfasts in an appropriate dinning area. But I will say that Julie deserves a promotion and a pay rise! That woman is one of a kind, and deserves recognition for the extra effort she puts into not only welcoming guests, but for going that extra mile to make them feel at home.

Ok hotel but the bed wasn't good.

The hotel is decent for the money, however, absolutely nothing special. The rooms are alright but small and old. The hotel is near a bus stop which is convenient. The service is very good.

Had a really good experience here. Close to the train station. (15 minute walk) Clean and tidy.

Lovely place. Not really a hotel, just a room really, which was quite small but functioned fine for a weekend. The room was clean and tidy. Hot drinks facilities in the room were good, breakfast is served in your room for an additional charge, but we didn't have this so can't really comment. The bathroom was fine, nice large bath with shower over, small window in bathroom which helped as very hot weekend. There are lovely old windows still in place with newer sliding windows inside this that dramatically reduce road noise. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft, there were 4 pillows but the bed was a small double which felt was a little small when used to sharing a larger bed. There was a rail with hangers instead of a wardrobe and a desk with draws, so plenty of space for your clothes. Large mirrors make the room seem larger and the decor was good. Not much room to park on the drive but plenty of space on the road which is very wide. Staff are friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi included. Approximately 5 minutes walk to local shops, it's along a bus route so easy to get to it you are not driving. Only 5 to 10 minutes from the m25. We would definitely stay again.

Where to start? I'll go with the positive, it was clean. Now the negative. When I arrived in the room there was a howling noise that I thought was coming from outside. So I closed the windows, this didn't help. Eventually I tracked it down to the fridge stuffed in the corner with a kettle on top. Once this was unplugged the howling abated. This was to be just the beginning. There was no wardrobe in the room, you get a pole sticking out of the wall with five hangers on it. The real villain of the piece was the bathroom though. The flush of the toilet is one of those built into the wall ones where you press a big square button. This was missing so you had to guess from the remaining mechanics what you need to press to make the toilet flush. The shelf above the sink was at an angle that meant anything you put on it ended up in the sink. The only light in the bath was above the mirror and was so dim that when you closed the shower curtain it was so dark you could barely see what you are doing. The light also spent most of the time deciding whether to be on or off. The toilet seat was barely attached, which meant it moved all over the place when you sat down. Overall it has been a grim visit.
