Great ambiance, superlative service and really great food — the Sunday roasts are brilliant, both in terms of quality and quantity — and I'm pretty hard to please on both counts when it comes to a roast dinner!

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Food was amazing and the hospitality was fantastic. Look forward to coming again soon.

Very tasty bacon brioche and a t before going to work. Sch next door so the place is full of children having breakfast.

I cannot thank the staff at The Victoria enough for their exemplary service and attention to detail. The staff today were just so good with my highly active and vocal 2 yo daughter! They brought her meal in record time, whipped out crayons and paper while we were eating our exquisite Sunday roast. The playground is a dream! When a member of our group demanded a well done roast this was obliged without question and rare roasts brought alongside without any raised eyebrows. They catered to our every need and I am just so overwhelmed as I’ve had some dreadful experiences elsewhere recently so my expectations were low but you surpassed every one — I really can’t thank you all enough — outstanding team work seamless delivery and truly beautiful food. Great Local Public House/Gastropub. Love it!

3 of our party had the chicken dish and after this we all had upset stomachs — I reported this to the manager who was to look into it and call me back — he didn’t. The chicken was definitely under-cooked.

Staff shouldn’t shake head to customer and can be more friendly and smiley. I think you are only welcome if you are a regular.

A gem of a find! Although we only stopped for 1 night, we were simply bowled over by the whole atmosphere of the place and loved itThe full English cooked breakfast was one of the best we’d ever had and would definitely recommend it.

Great Pub, good food, drink & service. The staff & especially the Manager Lea give the atmosphere a great feel.

Everything that our party of four ordered was both delicious and cooked perfectly (we had hake, burger, fish and chips and the chicken quinoa). Lemon lime cheesecake and sticky toffee were also perfect. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending this pub!

Nice Hotel great food and staff, great settings but the it's costing and lossing valuable time and money dispensing drinks due to layout.

The Victoria is delightfully situated among local houses in a quiet street. The food & service is exemplory. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would have loved a little chest of drawers in our room.

Haven’t been for sometime as we didn’t enjoy previous two visits however new chef, friendly staff and changes to the menu ensured we had a delicious meal last night and very much enjoyed the gorgeous sunny garden and later the football. Was very disappointed that chef wouldn’t swap mash for new potatoes which husband doesn’t like, we were expected to order and pay for them separately as the switch would affect the till?! Very disappointing and inflexible! Odd business decision for such a well known beautiful pub which is a treat for us to go out for dinner. It’s where we had our engagement party and have taken friends and family…

Surely one of London's best 'open secrets' south of the river? Rustic, beautiful setting not far from Richmond Park. Myself and my most special friends meet periodically here. Range and quality of meals is fresher and cleaner than most gastro pubs. The wine list is good by the glass or bottle. Outside dining in the current weather is ideal. Extremely efficient and friendly staff, great service, family friendly and an all-vegetarian menu on Mondays. A good distance from main roads, cosy on bad weather days. Never yet had anything but good times at the Victoria!

I used to love this place and have eaten here many times. On this visit I asked the lady who turned out to be the manageress how we accessed the garden. She started by telling us at length that we needed to build a special ladder, where we should place it etc… she clearly found herself very funny. When she eventually took us through we asked her if she would light the space heater. She told us that it wasn’t working — in fact she said none of them were working. Funnily enough when we asked the waiter the same question he fired it up immediately. I ordered a burger, cooked ‘medium’. She said it could only be cooked through but would still be juicy. When it arrived it was literally black all over, on both sides — burnt basically, and dry. Finally, after we had settled up, we ordered two more drinks at the bar. We paid on the spot and I noticed they had charged us a service charge — at the bar, in a pub! I questioned it and the manager (her again) said ‘Oh, we can remove that if you like’. This place has lost its way. Go the Plough around the corner instead.

Been here for lunch a few times and always yummy food and very dog friendly with super nice staff. Parking at rear which is a plus as this is in residential area. Walk off your lunch in Richmond Park which is around the corner!

Another excellent pub in the Sheen area. Great food, good beer selection and some very nice wines too. Also gets pretty full on weekends so it‘s worth booking ahead.

Nice bed and breakfast in the heart of Sheen with many shops, restaurants, pubs in the neighborhood. Also within walking distance to Richmond Park. The staff was super friendly and there is a small parking in back. Only problem was the water pressure.

Food ok but service was terrible! Waited 45 mins for our starters and then they turned up wrong. Then more delays for our Sunday roast and got our mains order wrong too! Shame as food was nice when it finally arrived but terrible experience and no apologies or gestures of goodwill from the staff. Put us off going back here. Shame…

Nice gastropub for dinner with a decent sized outdoor area. Weekday lunches are very quiet with an abbreviated menu.

The table wasn't ready for the time we booked-we had to wait for 30 min. One female member of staff was rude, apologised much later but it had already spoiled the atmosphere. The rest of them were polite. Food there is getting worse-roast was very disappointing, very greasy. Nice outside space.

Very nice refurbishment of bar and other areas of the pub. Slow service — we were the only guests for lunch initially. Very good steak, grilled prawns not good. Absolutely minimal choice of gluten free, although waitress did offer to provide a main without its major accompaniment; not quite the right thing.

Great staff! Loved the quaint feel! Room was very hot tho, so very thankful they supplied a large floor fan!

Lovely hotel, delicious food and comfortable seating area! Friendly staff! Room tastefully decorated but too warm this was preempted by staff who had a fan going to cool it. Lovely continental breakfast. Good location for Wimbledon too!

Very children friendly, nice garden with play area. Good food and beer. Bar service can sometimes be a bit slow.

Very well put together and pleasant place to sit, inside and out but the food is not quite as good as it should be for the price.

We went with 2 buggies and they were lovelyabout making sure we had enough room. The good was great and it has a climbing frame for the kids.

Beautiful place. I was here visiting family and friends after the rugby and was impressed with the very friendly and attentive staff, cosy lounge/bar area and terrific food in the restaurant. The rooms were great too and they have made a real effort with thoughtful little extras such as switching the fans on in the rooms before guests arrive. The outdoor area is perfect for a nice day and even has its own children's play area (I don't have kids but it was well designed). I live in London and the Victoria is definitely a gem. I would highly recommend. (Also only a 5min taxi from Richmond station).

Love The Victoria. Have stayed a couple of times and the food, feel and staff make it a special place for me. Always a tranquil break in the midst of chaotic business trips.

Great place to stay. Breakfast very nice, pub very nice. Bed was a big on the firm side but slept well. Parking is a bonus in London.

Friendly staff great location near Richmond Park. Good for lunch. Usually has three ales including the magnificent Timothy Taylor Landlord.

Great food, they also have a small play area for smaller kids, perfect for lunch with friends or a easy beer in the evening.

We've been coming here for some time now and enjoy it immensely. Fabulous, inventive food combined with friendly welcoming service. Whether it's just for a burger (and they are very good) or its for something more special the food always delights. I would only say that on occasion the spicier dishes can be hot! It's East Sheen so the place is super kid friendly and the playground out the back is pure genius in the warmer months.

Possibly I was expecting too much, but the reviews and website had me salivating, and the reality was nothing that great. The £20, 28-day-aged steak tasted of very little, the thrice-cooked chips were tepid, dense and oily. But, apart from the food, it was very nice.

A great little gastro pub — my wife and I eat here regularly. I LOVE their lemon thyme chargrilled chicken and the service is usually excellent. We had one mediocre dish recently but otherwise I would highly recommend it.

This pub has made the assumption that its customers don’t know how to cook or how much food costs. I don’t mind paying over the odds for a meal when cheap ingredients have been enhanced and improved by skilful, careful cooking, but both courses failed to deliver. The chicken, three ash covered chewy thighs with a bhel puri mix and some pomegranate seeds with chopped tomato, was chilli hot but without subtlety. The salmon came with cold crushed peas and a hollandaise that had the texture of sieved scrambled eggs and water, with no acidity of any kind. A side of spring greens were green and fresh but so wet that it could have been a soup. The starters were o. K. But meagre. We also waited 25 minutes between courses. Won’t go again, ever.

A few minutes walk from Richmond Park is The Victoria, the most delicious place created by restaurateur Greg Bellamy and chef Paul Merrett. The perfect escape on a sunny week-end. This address has seduced many palates and guess what? It was awarded best Greater London region gastropub in 2011. Now why would you miss tasting this? After a long walk, cheeks all pinked by the fresh spring air, d. Between town and countryside, you will immediately be seduced by the wooden counter, the dark wood, the brick walls, the homey feeling. Tables for two, other nestled along the windows, bigger one to welcome friends, a leather sofa near the fire, a collection of Penguin books, a selection of 25 wines by the glass. Ideal, right? The Victoria believes, together with skilled cuisine, in the quality of their ingredient. A page of the menu explains in detail the origin of meat, fish, eggs… but also includes anecdotes, the love for British product. They even use a forager. Recycling is a must too, even cooking oil will help to make bio-fuel. A look at the starters list and I am very intrigued. If I have already tried Jersey rock oysters, they were always raw, with maybe a drop of tabasco sauce. But those — and aren’t they pretty too? – have been opened then cooked straight away in the lightest batter you can imagine, encapsulating the sea flavours. Amazing. The texture reminds of mussels, more refined, more melt in the mouth. Beautiful presentation in the oyster shell on mushed-spring-peas.

This establishment has recently changed for the worse. Expensive, tiny portions, overpriced wines. Unprofessional booking procedure (you dont get what you ask for even when you confirm 2 or 3 times, leaving your customers stranded who have just made the journey to your restaurant).
