rooms are small dingy and dirty (old blood on our bed sheets when checking in) ceilings leak water onto you whilst sleeping. The hotel management takes no responsibility for the state of the rooms. He will not refund and says you get what you are given. After leaving the hotel we had bites all over our bodies

Not Good at all. Avoid unless you have really no place to go. Photos shown for the place are no way near the actual state which is really very bad.

The name sounds nice the place is not: The Grapevine Hotel. My mum and I stayed here for a weekend trip to London and we didn't expect much as most places in London have usually low standards. But we certainly didn't expect the standards at this hotel to hit rock bottom. First of all: There was dirt everywhere. The carpet was dirty, the walls were dirty, the mattress was dirty as well as the pillows. The ceiling was dir-… Oh no, wait, that was no dirt, it actually was mold. We had a ceiling fan and (of course) a lamp in our room, both didn't work. The TV had only one channel and believe me, you wouldn't like to touch the remote. So there's that. To not see the mess that our room was we decided to take a look out the window. Another mistake. We realized the disgusting curtains were there for a reason: infront of our window was anothery dirty and messy and overall just filthy backyard. And the bathroom was in no way inferior to that. It was moist and just straight up disgusting. And to demonstrate how moist it was, not only in the bathroom but everywhere: we had a little visitor on our last day. It was a slug. A literal slug on our ceiling. If we were in germany our ministry of health would have shut this place down ages ago. The only two good things were how close the hotel was located to the Victoria Station and we had working Wi-Fi. But honestly there are cheaper ways to harm your health than paying 215€ for two nights. Don't stay here. Seriously.

Breakfast was good, room dirty and toilet broken. Way too expensive for the service.

Location was top. Rooms at that time unfortunately extremely small. Breakfast was ok for short trips to London as the price fit ok.

The money corresponds, but there are bedbugs.

Terrible place. Avoid like the plague! Very dirty room, noisy bed, toilet outside of the room although the listing doesn't say so. Spend the night outside at some park instead of paying this place.

Good location just 5 minutes walking to Victoria Station.

Clean was the room but the toilet in the hallway in front of the room. You can't forget the room key. You don't come to his room anymore. Well, no one could sleep. Since I was around. 4:00 departed there, I got no breakfast. Although it was included in the price. There was also no refund. That's how London can be…

The hotel description has absolutely nothing to do with reality. The location is very central, there is good wireless internet and the breakfast is adequate. Our room (18) was the last descending, housed in the basement, with bloody pillows, Schimmelnden windows and curtains. The heating was not working at all, but we were provided with a radiator in the room which could not be infected due to the short cable. When showering, the whole bathroom was flooded, all the valves were rusted or moldy. All in all it is not recommended and even if you only have a short stay you should prefer to leave this hotel to your fingers.

Absolute disaster! Horror Room No. 18! Everywhere mold in the bathroom and window sill! Bloody sheets. Curtains littered with stains! Showers almost impossible — the whole bath is flooded. The only advantage is the location! Breakfast. Well.

The worst hotel I ever entered! It sucks, I can't believe they give him half a star. All dirty. No TV because it broke. Yesterday we asked for room change because we got the 19 a… don't go there! window that gives to a horrible place, is in the underground. Without wardrobe/closet, no phone to communicate to the reception… this one belongs, actually to another hotel and they make you enter by turning the street to the grapevine. Minimum dimensions! All in bad shape. I wouldn't even have to show up on the hotel listings.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Incredibly dirty. It doesn't even meet the basic hygiene standards and it has rudest staff I've ever met.

Very basic hotel and in need of some repairs. The staff are friendly and the location is perfect for central London, just 5 minutes walk from Victoria Station. It is a good place for travellers looking for budget accommodation or people just needing a cheap stay in central London.

The front men is very polite, our bedroom was dirty and we founded Turquoise, we claimed but they only throw us a couple of sheets, they didn't give us any solution like to find another room or refund us our reservation fee. It's very unfair.
They were very inconsiderate of us, the room was dirty and we found bedbugs in bed, when we went to claim they only gave us a set of sheets, nor moved us to another room and we were not returned the money, after claiming they told us to contact, They have passed 48h and have done nothing. I don't recommend it at all.

Only strong point, its location and its proximity to Westminster, Buckingham and 5 minutes from Victoria station.
Outdated hotel, poorly isolating phonically no light on the first night.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Misleading pictures on the site, the rooms presented have nothing to do with reality.

Place for short station. It's cheap as for the very center of London. But here you didn't find the comfort. Just sleeping and washing place with breakfasts. It's good for saving money.

Bad Hotel. Only great location. Nice outside but poor inside without Hall.
We were in a very small quadruple, no closet and there was not even space to rest the suitcases. Some rooms do not have a bathroom in the room but on the landing. The beds are not ordering you in the morning, the mattresses are old. The change of towels you had to ask every day as well as the shampoo and the bath foam. The breakfast is poor and if you arrive late you stay without croissant, cold milk and sometimes the empty container. The staff at the breakfast room are friendly. Hotel not recommended.

Just disgusting everything dirty, bed and wipes with brown stains. These rooms are not worth the money would rather sleep on the street! Very Dirty Room.

Avoid like the plague. I mean it. Most horrible hotel I have ever been to in my whole life. Someone else booked it for me otherwise I would have just looked online and got from the reviews that it was horrible. It doesn't even deserve a star — just AVOID.

Rundown, filthy, cramped. Never stayed in a worse place over 15 years of traveling to London often. Their photos lie and don't show things like the fact the toilet in my room was unusable due to the seat being tossed off to the side.

Me and my husband stayed on the 31dt of August to the 2 September room very small the breakfast was ok but would be nice to have a full English staff ok.

It was OK. Room was quite small compared to others I've stayed at for cheaper. Breakfast was included but I chose not to go so can't comment on that. Location was good for train and underground links.

Avoid like the plague. Didnt want to put a star but had to so I could post, NO STAR RATING, outside looked ok, reception area nice (although it was actually the hotel next door) got keys to our room and man was pleasant enough. Went round the corner to the actual hotel entrance to find a rather delapadated and old looking building. The main door was not fitted correctly and the lock was a little dodgy. The door through to our room was ill fitted and the lock needed some attention. Once in the room there was no space to move. There was about one foot of space around the bed and nowhere to put luggage. There was a small alcove with a metal bar which we assumed was the wardrobe area and a portable heater in the bottom of the space taking up any chance of storage. There was a shelf at one side of the bed which had a kettle, 2 mugs and 2 glasses on but if you were both having a drink then the person nearest the shelf had to keep passing the hot drinks over (health and safety issue). The on-suite was a complete disaster in the sense that you had to get through a very narrow opening (half the width of a normal door) and step up an 7/8 inch step (not good for elderly or people with knee problems). Once inside there was a sink with a very loose tap (only one tap) wnth a mirror that was out so far that when you brushed our teeth you could not bend over to spit into the sink without hitting your head or dribbling down yourself.

AVOID! I booked a room for two. I did not expect any luxury or huge executive style rooms but something adequate for two people. You could barely drag your luggage in! We were placed in the basement. The room had an open window overlooking the inner yard filled with junk, bird and rodent excrement. Rat poison everywhere, walls tainted with greese marks from god knows how many years ago. Found someone else's hair, rolled up in a ball, on the mattress, so the cleaner really shouldn've missed it. Bed linen peppered with dark lint. Carpets covered in ancient dust and grime and also inside the cracks along the wall. Made us feel as if we were to become squatters in someone's abandoned house. We thought this room was too dirty to stay in and requested another room, which they didn't have. The receptionist refused to repay the deposited first night, "due to policy". I think it's attrocious if you charge your customers despite not providing a CLEAN place to stay. And I'm maintaining that there were no high expectations to begin with…

Location and price. This place was great as a solo traveler. The train is five minutes away on foot. The room was tiny and not luxurious. But it had what I needed and was very affordable. I wouldn't bring a family here or have romantic expectations but if you just need to crash it is perfect.

Don't know how this hotel passed health and safety standards… a death trap with steep winding stairs with hidden steps… worst DIY jobs I've ever seen with pieces missing out of skirting and door architraves, tiles over grouted and excess not wiped off… sink overhanging the toilet and no room to change after shower… doirs that don't close properly and Mouse and ant traps in all corridors.

Location is simple to find in a quiet area, rooms were clean a log with bed, service was ok. Bathroom is about the size of a medium closet. No space do much with do closed but you can make it work, shower pressure was good & hot.

The worst "hotel" I've ever been. Forget the pictures, the bedrooms don't look like that, they are disgusting. I was given a bedroom with a "private" toilet that was outside the bedroom, near the hall. And obviously it was being used by other people. That same bedroom had a shower just next to my bed. I was speechless. They offered me another bedroom on the following day. I've attached some pictures, so you can have an idea of how bad the new one also was. Even the bed had wh…eels, so I was moving during the night. You can hear everything that happens in other bedrooms and even the door let's all the light come in. Seriously, I've been to Kaduna in Nigeria, and the hotel was much nicer than this one. A total scam. Everything was so dirty and almost falling down. Dust and spider webs near the
bed. Furniture with wet spots, shower with rust and mold. I didn't sleep properly one single night. On the last day, at 8:30am, a faulty fire alarm went off three times for 30 minutes.
I don't know how something like this can exist in London. In Portugal it would close in two days. The customers need a new authority to protect us from these places. Avoid it at all costs!

Dear people, I highly recommend you NOT to go to this hotel! We stayed here for three days, with good expectations. We already knew it wouldn't be high class, but since our goal was to visit London and not to stay in our hotel room, we didn't mind a little lack of comfort. However, a not working shower and constant noise during the night is not what I call a 'little bit of discomfort'! We had room 19A, next to the breakfast room. So every morning, starting from 6 am we heard every noise. Water running down the pipes wasn't an exception either, just as slamming doors. About the doors, we had one door we had to open before we could open our actual door, something I wouldn't mind if we actually could close this door on a decent way. The door to our room we couldn't even close. The bed wasn't too bad in the beginning, but after three nights my back hurt like hell. I'll ask for a refund, since it wasn't worth a penny or euro!

My wife and I went to London for the weekend and needed a place to crash for a couple nights. This place was great for the price. The rooms are very small so pack light. Sometimes it smells a bit too but its not that bad. It's close to the train and bus stations if you're looking for tours or transportation. We spent most of our time touring London and pretty much only stayed in the hotel to sleep. If your only staying in London for a few days and looking for a cheap place to lay your head at night I can recommend this place, just remember you get what you pay for.

The staff was very helpful and the location convenient. The room was a bit grotty and needed some updates (the lapshade was scorched and half falling off, bathroom had some mildew)

Bad room with many things disorder.

Stayed for 1 night. Was fine for the location and the money. There are better hotels. But none for the price.

The worst place I've ever stayed period! Got a single room. One dinky towel, they wouldn't give me a fresh one after I used it for a day. They didn't replenish the toilet paper (had to go ask for roll and when I did it took 10 minutes to find it. Not clean and in need of serious remodeling. The only thing this place has going for it is the location to Victoria Station. Oh yeah, the door had the most unsecure lock I've ever encountered. Oh well, it was an experience. Just a creepy one! Stay away from this place!

My fiancée was due to stay here for 4 days, but upon inspection of the room we found out that: — The heater was cold and could not be adjusted — The shower did not work — There were hairs in the bed — There were nail clippings on the floor — The room smelled of smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room — The room and hotel were generally dirty So my fiancée immediately checked out and we are currently trying to get a full refund (this is proving hard as the General Manager is so far not being very customer friendly).

Small and almost friendly hotel. Breakfast acceptable and no quantity limit. Small rooms but with everything you need. I got caught at a great price through hotel packages + flight. The best, which is very central.

A very good family run bed & breakfast in Victoria. I was on a tight budget and this was the cheapest place I could find after walking around Victoria for a while, the staff were very friendly and were happy to help and answer any questions. There was a breakfast Buffet in the morning with a lot to choose from and since I was on a budget I didn't pass that opportunity :) my room was a bit small but I couldn't really expect more in Central London but it was clean so I was happy with that. The only negative point was the internet was a bit slow at peak times but I'm guessing that was because a lot of guests were trying to use it. I would recommend this place and make sure you book in advance as walking around trying to find a room can be a bit hectic.
