I was very happy with my stay, the room was cozy and comfortable, the staff extremely helpful and friendly, the breakfast was very good, and of course the location of the hotel is excellent.

Clean, very nice bathroom, very good location. Helpful, but not overwhelming staff.

The rooms are great, good location and good Wi-Fi connection. Only downpoint is the rooms are a bit poorly isolated noise-wise, but it wasn't too bad. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

The hotel was great, excluding the following problems: our rooms electricity was off and we had to solve the problem by flipping the central fuse box, which was followed by having to change a fuse in the plug to the air conditioning. Then when we had wasted a few hours on repairs and maintenance that was not out main interest, we just left it in the end because it was so humid! The staff were compliant but still didn't really seem to know what they were doing and the evening staff seemed more interested in his food that he had made, in the mean time we were waiting to talk to him about the problems. The lights in the wardrobe/kettle area didn't work either, which wouldn't have been an issue if the above issues didn't occure. The breakfast, we couldn't fault if we tried! It was great! And the staff, for the most part, were very friendly and helpful… a generous 3 stars from me, I'm afraid…

Nice little hotel that smells good the family pension! You're in the hyper-center and that's priceless!

What an amazing hotel. Lots of character, great location, modern rooms with all amenities and a choice of freshly prepared continental or full English breakfast included. All for an affordable price. The staff is super friendly too. Would strongly recommend this hotel.

Fine, small bed and breakfast hotel within walking distance of British Museum. The rooms are modern in style, the service staff friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi is available. The breakfast buffet is small but in combination with a classic English breakfast sufficient. Who is only a few nights in London, for whom the hotel is perfectly sufficient.

Comfortable room, lovely breakfast, friendly staff and close to a good starting place for a few days sight seeing.

A real find in a great position. Room was lovely breakfast included all for a fee less than a lot of premier inns. I would highly recommend it.

Very small room. That bed maximum 140 wide. That room is also very cold. That breakfast well it has everything but unfortunately it was not very cozy.
This hotel does not have a bar. Or dinner room. Very good location. And cheap…

We had a lovely stay at the Staunton. The location is great — very close to the British Museum and within walking distance (15-20 min) of Soho and Covent Garden, with various bus stops across the street and tube stations within a 5-10 minute walk. We stayed in a room right off the street and it was a little noisy in the evenings (people out and about) and early mornings (trash collection, trucks going by) but the room was very comfortable and, for a London b&b, had a little more space than we were expecting. Bathroom was nice and modern. Breakfast on site was satisfying. They were also very accommodating, holding onto our luggage when we arrived before our room was ready and again after we checked out.

Good value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. Some of the bathroom could have done with a bit of maintenance but much better than what I have stayed in previously.

An absolute gem! Central location. Tubes/ buses/bicycle hire all within easy reach.
Superb staff — very friendly and wonderfully helpful. Spotlessly clean throughout. Good selection at breakfast. Great mini bar in room, also TV, hairdryer, & very handy iron and ironing board. Really comfy bed!

Lovely Georgian building. The decor and facilities à bit dated but staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable. Great location.

Excellent value for money. Just steps away from the British Museum. On a busy and uncharming street. Full English breakfast included. Only Nescafe instant coffee in room. 304 is a big comfy room if you don't mind lots of stairs.

Great Central location and nice room and breakfast. Could do with a bar though.

Quite old facilities. The shower was broken and part of the bathroom wall was falling apart. However location was ok and people friendly.

Such wonderful experience staying at this lovely family run hotel. Staff were so pleasant and at hand if we needed anything. Won't hesitate to book it again when in London.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was pleasant and clean with plenty of space and storage for our overnight requirements. The bathroom was good, though the sink tap would go boiling hot for no reason at random. The location was good. A twenty minute walk from St Pancras and no more than a few minutes to the nearest tube station. The British museum was a five minute walk and the science museum a short tube ride away. The New London Theatre was the main reason for going and this was just over a ten minute walk. Signing in and out was quick and easy. We were able to leave our bags in the reception on the last day whilst we went to different places in London and pick them up in the evening. We realised we had left some items in the room and although we didn't get them on the day, they were promptly posted to us within a couple of days — much quicker than expected. A great hotel we would use again.

Just like the last review we wanted to be close to the museum and booked the staunton based on the reviews here… well they weren't wrong. Helpful staff, nice clean rooms, huge bed and a great breakfast, we really couldn't have asked for more.

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the British Museum and partly because of the reviews I had read and they were not wrong. I took my elderly mother to London to see some exhibitions. There is no lift but we were offered a room on the ground floor. We asked for the first floor only and got exactly what we wanted. The fact that they provided breakfast in the room on request made up for the fact that there was no lift and it meant that my mother only had to go downstairs in the morning and upstairs at night. We were early but were greeted with tea and biscuits and our room was ready within ten minutes. All the staff we met could not do enough for us. The room was clean and well decorated with comfortable beds and being at the back was very quiet which is a bonus in London. It is central and near to the underground. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
