St Christopher's Inn Camden Hostel

I checked in and it went really well when I got to the hostel. I paid and everything so I got told the room wasn’t ready and I said fine. I had work on the same day so I went to work and came back the man told me that I did not book a room when I did and I showed him my id once it was sorted I was able to pack my stuff and everything. It had a awful smell in the locker rooms. I couldn’t sleep because of the noise coming from downstairs the pub but I knew that was going to happen anyway. It’s located in a good location of Camden and there’s shop nearby that’s one of the reasons I stayed here.

Warm, fun, safe, nice comfortable beds, cheerful. I had the best experience meeting so great people. Food was delicious and was loving the spicy sauces! You guys were great and so is Camden. Will definitely be back!

I went to Camden for just one day and it was like knowing the staff for years. Keeran and the others are more than friendly and helpful and the pub feels Like sitting in your livingroom. The room was clean and perfect for one night the breakfast is included and I dont missed anything.

I didn't talk to the staff. I just slept, pretty clean. Better than some 3-star Italian hotels. All that's missing is the hangers in the room and a shelf in the shower.

Very friendly personal and good clean rooms. u can also lock your personalstoff in lockers.

Well maintained, friendly staff, nice ambience, gives a good sense of Camden Town, and close to Central London. A bit more spacious in the dorms than another hostel in the area, has lockers (need a padlock) and blackout blinds in rooms and curtains round bunks which are all good. Plus a nice chill out room and pub. Central location makes it a bit noisy at night (earplugs help). Bear in mind it is low cost and obviously shared with others so don't expect luxuries (mainly loos and showers). Nevertheless, one of my favourite hostels in the area.

Comfortable enough for the price. At the end of the day it is a backpackers so don't set you r expectations too high. Staff were friendly. Beds clean, other areas ok, toilets not so clean. Hostel is above a busy bar, so expect loud music booming into the early hours but you can bring earplugs or buy them at the bar. Bar offers good drinks/food specials to guests. Breakfast was basic but decent and they sometimes ran out of things if you got there too late. "Chill room" was cozy. Being Camden, expect to be staying with a lot of musicians and possibly one or two homeless, but I didn't feel unsafe at any point. Very near to Underground station. Many supermarkets on the same street and a short walk to the market.

Has a wonderful time got there on Monday 29th for a concert on tuesdays 30th. Staff were friendly and welcoming first time staying there but would definitely recommend it as it's a great location to shops.

Hostel located in a great location, in one of the most beautiful and famous neighborhoods of London and a few steps from the Metro. The hostel is located exactly above the pub Belushi's thing which allows those staying to have discounts on food and drinks; The music, however, feels very much in the rooms and lasts until late at night, often over 02:00. The rooms are not very spacious compared to the amount of beds they contain and there are only two common bathrooms, very small and uncomfortable, available; The cleanliness, especially of the latter, is quite poor. The common room is very pretty but there are no windows as it is on the floor — 1 as a result often the air is quite heavy. In Conclusion: Recommended if you want to stay with friends, also considering the possibility of making friends as it is frequented by many children from all over the world, spending modest figures; Not recommended if you are travelling as a couple.

Having enjoyed staying at other St Christopher's hostels, I was disappointed in my experience at St Christopher's Camden and checked out days earlier than planned. I was able to have two nights refunded although unfortunately due to their 72 hour refund policy I am still paying for a stay tonight although I have left. Overall I had multiple uncomfortable experiences at the hostel — some of which had nothing to do with the staff or hostel itself — but the most concerning incident to me was a staff member letting someone into our hostel room who was not a guest, who then stayed in the bathroom for 1 and a half hours while I was sleeping doing god knows what. In my view this is a breach of hostel security and safety — if I wasn't in there this person may have stolen things. While one staff member seemed concerned about this incident when I asked for my refund, the person who processed it didn't seem concerned at all or ask for more details.

The location, rooms, and bathrooms are fine. The laundry room says out of order even though the machines work. The kitchen and food storage areas are mediocre. There isn't a kitchen and there's one tiny refrigerator.

This was the first hostel we stayed in on our travels, and after staying in others we've come to reflect that this hostel was pretty bad. The toilets we're disgusting, the shower was clunky and you had to keep repeatedly pressing the button. Sleeping before 2am was a luxury due to the noise from downstairs. It was crowded and hot in the rooms. Went to use the laundry facilities to find bags of sheets everywhere and no laundry detergent to be seen so we have up on that. For a place to sleep that's close to a tube station, it does the job. But overall I was not impressed.

Got there at a last minute booking and after a long day was looking forward to a bed. Georgi. A beautiful blue haired australian I think woman behind the reception went out of her way to help me. Even after she just had a bad evening with annoying idiots causing her greif. She should get a raise. Hint hint.

Breakfast guy was very nice. Appart from that, the incredibly loud bass of their ground floor bar was so powerfull that it was absolutely impossible to sleep until it stopped, at 2am, despite wearing earplugs. It totally ruined my night and the day after. So bad, I decided to find another place to sleep, even though I had already paid for the following night. I understand that sometimes hostels can be a bit noisy because of sharing with others, but it is the first time (and I visited many of them) that my stay is litteraly spoilt by the owner inability to deal with his own music.

Awesome staff, comfy beds, lively bar with good food and drink offers. Rooms are a good size with fans and small AC unit. Curtains around beds and personal power sockets with space for plug and USB ports.

It is pretty good for a hostel but the SHOWER is AWFUL! It is too small and it doesn't let you change the temperature, there is only freezing cold and after 1-2 minutes boiling hot water coming out. Please change it. Breakfast, beds, facilities, location and service are good. And, there is a common area, someone said there wasn't one but there is. There's only a microwave to "cook" but at least it's something.

This place is brill well worth a trip very clean staff are brill go above and beyond for u I would defo recommend this place and defo would come again fab xxxxx.

I stayed at a 6 bunk dorm all female. I was able to check in late (8pm), which was nice. The bar staff are also the reception staff so you may have to wait a little to be served. However, the staff are pretty nice. The bed is not too bad and reasonably comfortable. The room was a little stuffy — completely booked. In the room, there are two separate rooms for the toilet and the shower. The sink is in the sleeping area. The shower is small and is turned on with a button that sprays hot water and it turns off automatically after about a minute so no long showers. They have power strips and a light for each bed. There is a storage compartment under each bed that can fit a carry on luggage and then some. Laundry with a washer and dryer is free but there's only one set. Location is a 10min walk to the Camden Market and there's lots of good cheap restaurants nearby.

Great staff. Great vibe. Always a pleasure to stay at these hostels. Been coming them for over ten years.

After traveling for 3 months St Christopher's Inn made me feel like I was home again.
Amazing discounts on the pub food and drinks, live music, clean wash facilities and the staff felt more like friends than anything!
Would highly recommend staying here to anyone who wants a warm atmosphere and a good time.
Would also HIGHLY recommend the Camden Pub Crawl led by Anthony, he went absolutely above and beyond to make sure we all had a great time.

I am having an amazing time here in Camden, Anthony, Ivy and Jack are all hero's and are properly looking after me. Couldn't ask for a better stay. Everything I need has been sorted and will defo recommend this place to all my friends. Cheers Ant your a legend!

Cute place to sleep. You do not have The wave hostel classic, the rooms are of a lot of rooms without a common area. You can not cook or store food. However, the beds are very good and the bar is excellent. Until they give you earplugs for free :)

My booking was a last minute one, and to be honest I didn't know what to expect.
Friendly staff and roommates, the pub is excellent, clean rooms (bathroom and WC included) and I enjoyed my one night stay there.
Even if dorms are not my preferred travel lifestyle, I would go back just for the pub (the food is excellent and the prices are good as well).

Good care, fully motivating and a good location. Perfect experience to take place as much as possible in the former London although not exaggerate, the area is primarily a neighborhood of irish bars.

Was all right, breakfast is good. People are nice, and average clean.

The worst hostel I ever been. Shower is small and hairy and has only one temperature it is boiling, room is smelly and really lough. Staff mostly is unfriendly and ignore me when I want something. I had masturbating guy in my room and couldn't change the room in exchange some big black guy try to scare him and told him staff lakie he gonna punch him … and your manager told me is normal and it a hostel (you should advertise this kind of shows), there is no kitchen only kettle which I cant fill with water because there is no sink (only to small in really smelly bathroom which was to grouse to use). The worst hostel I unrecommend to all my friends!

Great location but the rooms are not too clean.

Staff preoccupied with anything but the clients. Can't blame them because the clientele is disgusting. Burping, sweatpants-wearing on a Saturday night-crowd. Camden is great, but this is far down and particularly dodgy, cannot trust staff or clients. Be careful. Friend mugged just outside all the neighboring council flats. And, do not dare to eat here, overpriced for frozen Iceland quality food.

Such a cozy place to stay. So nice people working there — especially Steve;) Chr. Inn, Camden is located in between two metrostations (the tube) which makes it really easy for you to get to all the attractions in London. Camden town itself is quite an experience! Very close to the hostel there are several markets and a good amount of shops — 'Camden Market' — for those who love cheap clothings/souveniers.
'Camden streetfood market' is a really nice place to visit as well — here there are all sorts of food from different countries:) I give 5stars for the Hostel because of the hospitallity the staff provides you.
It is also really nice that the reception is open 24/7.

One of the best hostels in London definitely, friendly staff great rooms well ventilated neat wash rooms and great Wi-Fi connectivity. One of the best hostels i've stayed in.

Pros: Secure, friendly staff Cons: Breakfast selection is pretty weak, towel rental is pricey (2 pounds).
