I say no, but it’s not a complete no, it’s a ‘please, just take the time to repair the rooms between lets’. The rooms are nice enough and more or less clean but the shower sprayed water everywhere, there was vinyl missing around the toilet, the window was crooked when opened, someone thumped holes in the toilet door that were poorly repaired. Attention to detail matters if you want a good recommendation.

The staff were lovely but the sheets were not clean, the light fixtures were coming off the ceiling and the bathroom had mould in.

I booked a room with my wife and boy. I paid £140 for the weekend. Highly recommended tbh and you get what you pay for. Ali manager was highly professional and very helpful. I live just outside london, but he guided me the places to visit in central london and gave me an overview of local attractions as well. Room was cleaned and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was nice and the breakfast lady was lovely. Mohammad night receptionist was very helful as we asked for extra favours. Haringey station just opposite the hotel, and oxford circus is less than 15 min. Well done guys and keep it up.

Very friendly staff. Strange that their card machine is never working and always wants cash. The room was okay for one night. Also staff mentioned that police always ride around the area so we should feel safe. Tried to get breakfast and it was such a strange route we had to walk over steel barred panels, and when we got down there, no breakfast in sight and no one tried to help us. Then we tried to check out and no one was at the front desk, and no one picked up on the number provided so we just left the key on the top. Very weird experience in all honesty.

Worst hotel I've ever been to. The first two days of our stay the bedrooms didn't have anything on the floor and had nails sticking out everywhere, take a look at the pictures. They decided to actually put on the floor while we where there and afterwards the staff kept popping in my room without knocking. The breakfast room you can see in their pictures is not where the breakfast was… Seems like a party room with awful furniture where we got our food. First two mornings they had no bacon and no sausages, third morning they had some kind of sausage. Unfortunately the staff isn't being treated that well either. A staff member had to get eggs for the customers with their own money. Well I don't think I'll be returning. One convenient thing though is that you get to London central really quick and there's a lot going on around it.

London was pretty much fully booked for the week and this was the only real option. Paid £85 for a room which included breakfast. The hotel was right next to Haringay station and my room had a new bathroom, but sadly that's where the positives end. What an absolute dive! The place was filthy and clearly never cleaned as there were thick layers of dust everywhere, smashed windows with bird pooh splattered all over — absolutely disgusting. Couldn't even bring myself to make a coffee or go to breakfast in the morning. Assume the reason it was £85 was because London was booked up, but I wouldn't stay here again if I was paid to!

Rumurosissimo Nightclub under the rooms in which veins served a horrible breakfast without the housekeeping were made from the previous night… The rooms are small but they are not bad. Staff practically absent…

If u looking for a place to sleep with a good price. There are near train station, easy to go to center… nice people are working there, good english breakfast incluid. Thanks all.

Ok hotel, my sweet was nice and tidy but cold and ok breakfast. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast. Nice staff and overall cheap price.

Not great I would stay somewhere else if you could.

First and last time cold room there are no bedside cupboards not even a chair to support the clothes… Bad.

Hotel just horrible: — Cleanliness to be revisited completely, — no heating, — the provision of objects is to be redone (example: A fire extinguisher keeps the post) — finishing the work to be continued (unable to close the bathroom door, it Mahavijit EU lock) — price a little high for a reservation of 4h the only good thing is that it is close to the shops, and the train station.

Very friendly and professional reception staff. Rooms are newly renovated which are reasonable, but the bathroom and shower was 5 star. On the top free breakfast, free Wi-fi and free parking. Very reasonable prices for London, and Oxford Circus station is just 15 mins away from Hotel. Opposite to haringay train station. Highly recommended.

I have stayed here many during business trips and I really enjoy my stay in the spacious rooms and the breakfast menu has something for everyone.

Location is perfect to explore london. Very clean room and bathroom. Very friendly staff, informative and happy to help. 24 hour reception and nice breakfast.

It's a no frill hotel when it comes to bedding but the bathroom was five stars, Wi-Fi wasn't working during my stay. An the English breakfast was warming. For a nights stay I would highly recommend it.

DO NOT STAY HERE Awful customer service, hotel smelt awful, bathrooms FILTHY with mould. The room was nothing like the images or descriptions. Would have given no stars if I could.

It had no hot water and it reminded me of a hostel but smelt really nice.

Cheap budget hotel… check in was quick and the manager (alex) was really friendly and helpful, its a bit noisy but at night time its calm and quite. The room is old but it was clean. I mean come on… what do you expect in £55 pounds at london. I have seen much worse hotel in central london charging more money than this one. Breakfast was simple and nice. Location is amazing and you can get to the centre of city real quick. All and all, its a cheap budget hotel. If your not fussy. You might even like it.

Booked in room 10 which was dirty, stained carpet, furniture bad, bed uncomfortable. Only good was location wouldn't stay again or recommended.

Carpets full of stains and the furniture had seen better days. Didn't stay for breakfast so can't really comment on service. Location is ok.

The hotel is near to harringey train station. Check-in was efficient and polite. Our room was large for a London hotel, it was spotless and odour free and the carpet and décor looked new and modern. The bathroom was a good size and well ventilated. There is cable TV, a safe, ironing board, coffee/tea making, a dining area, a hair drier. This is definitely a well appointed, reasonably priced hotel.

Like many of the reviews above mine is negative. Normally I would not write a negative review for a 2 star hotel but given I paid about A$75 for this room I feel I should. Here is a summary of the negative points about the London Shelton Hotel: * Somewhat unfriendly staff * Forced to pay cash * TV reception was very poor * The bathroom was falling to bits * Mis-matched and broken furniture throughout the room * Common areas messy and also falling to bits * When I returned at 10pm the so called 24 hr reception was unmanned * It was a very noisey location, paper thin walls * The fact that you have to give reception your key whenever you leave is ridiculous * I took one look at the breakfast and opted to go get my own elsewhere * It is not that central to London either I had planned to stay here 2 nights but decided only to stay one. Stay elsewhere.

My pillow had more stain's on it than the turin shroud and our mouse trap had a mouse in it we realised this on the last day which explained all the flies in our room in march which we thought was unusual. Ps the next morning a mouse was trying to eat my left over takeaway without even asking sounds funny but had to laugh because it was so unreal it was happening at least the staff said sorry about that and check out the sign when you check in it says no refunds at all should have set alarm bells ringing when I read that it straight in front of you.

I have no idea what the people below are saying because I stayed at this hotel 3 nights every week for a month! and staff were amazing. Really helpful and room was spotless week after week! I really recommend this hotel and plus the price is the cheapest around! and extremely close to Central London.

AVOID! This hotel its just the pits. Dirty, shabby, and unclean we felt as though we were staying in a brothel, we got offered another room but due to our late arrival had no option but to stay the night we checked out and got a refund for the 2nd night. Breakfast we were offered beans and egg, or toast (warm bread not even browned) and jam totally disappointed and disgusted. Would not recomend or stay here ever.

We arrived to an unwelcoming who are you then when we got to the room beer cans were all over the bathroom floor light fixtures were hanging from the wall it smelt really funny the TV had no reception and the beds had stains on my word an absolute shambles if health and safety had seen this it would be immediately shut down I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

Unfortunately I've read the reviews about this hotel but didn't believe that it would be so bad. But it was even worse. The website looks really nice but you shouldn't believe a single word. 1) When I arrived the 24 hour reception was closed, I had to wait outside of the hotel and phone them 2) They wanted to give me the wrong room, I've booked a studio with kitchen included but they wanted to place me in a single room. She began to search for the reservation sheet and found it after 20 minutes! 3) The lady wanted me to pay cash although the website said I can pay by credit card. We had a long discussion and she gave in. 4) When she showed me the studio it hadn't been cleaned yet. Everything was dirty, no fresh linen on the bed, the wardrobe was broken and there was even a dirty t-shirt on the ground. So I refused to stay. Another strange thing is that I checked my credit card statement and found another debit of London Shelton Hotel. And I'm sure I have never signed the bill containing this amount. Summary: It's shabby and dirty, staff is unfriendly, dodgy and unmotivated Nearly everything that's written on the webpage is a lie. So don't go there.
