You pay a lot of money for almost nothing. We paid 195 pounds for a two person room with almost nothing but a bed. There was no complimentary toothbrush or toothpaste which I really had anticipated. There was also quite a hassle checking in at night since the online booking failed paying for two of the three room s. There was also no breakfast included in the price, so I think it was a very steep price for what you get. The beds were nice though and so were the towels. Personnel wasn't too friendly. There are storage capabilities for your bags if you can't check-in yet (you can check-in from 14:00 until late in the night).

We were put in a room for the disabled, which was weird, but the amenities were still good. Breakfast was delicious, but not included in the cost of the room. Good location close to the Underground. Overall, good experience at the hotel.

Great spot, very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Had a great sleep. Staff were happy to look after our bags after we'd checked out. Note, the interior lobby and bar / restaurant has been refurbished since the Google photos taken here. Much nicer now.

Good location, good prices, fair rooms but very negative restaurant.

Staff were lovely, however my room was so noisy because of the bathroom, it sounded constantly like when you drain a bath and the room must have been near a pipe because it sounded like water was constantly flowing next to my room. On top of the that, the room was so hot and stuffy so decided to turn the air con on, I have never heard a louder air con in my life, there was no way I would have been able to sleep through it so in the end had to sleep in the heat so woke up really dehydrated, so all in all had about 2 hours sleep — which doesn't really in keep with the hotels good night guarantee policy.

Good and friendly service, modern, clean and quiet room, and firm bed. No view to speak of, but other than that very good experience with reasonable price in London downtown.

Room OK We were in room 34 the most distant of all the others in half basement a family room. It would have been nice if there had not been the noise of underground Metro that was passing regularly… In addition to our arrival the beds of the children were not made and there was only one bath towel.
The restaurant on the other hand do not go especially not that it is bad but the waiting times are endless accompaniment of the children's dishes do not correspond to the headings of the menu. The adult dessert once you have a Lemon tart with cream or ice and the time after without anything… short of real amateurs. A waitress even had the nerve to tell us that she was going to prepare the fruit salad of our children because the chef was overflowed.
Real amateurs these English. When I think after that we criticize the French. Moreover they are not more amiable than French…
Go eat somewhere else.
Maybe being French means pestiferes so if vs don't want a basement room with the noise from the Metro and a corner table in the restaurant don't go there. The 3 stars are worth only by the quality ratio taken from the room to London.
Also the breakfast is really not top if you do not like the warm in the morning. Pancakes and other farinous pastries wish.

Very nice room in the heart of London. The room is bright and the hotel is very quiet. 3 minutes from Blackfriars Metro station this hotel is ideal for a city tour. The breakfast was really quality. The staff was very friendly and we were very good advice for sightseeing in London.

Very Clean and in the super convenient area. Walking distance to Metro and train station. Excellent value for money considering you are in London. Basic Rooms. Breakfast Buffet Super. Recommended.

Restaurant was good but the room I was in was cold and the bathroom even colder. For some reason I was in the disabled room so did not appreciate that so have marked down accordingly. Breakfast was great staff were good.

We stayed at Premier Inn Blackfriars for 4 days whilst we did the tour of London. The service was superb, the bedrooms simple but clean and comfortable, the breakfast was fabulous and also catered for my gluten free needs. The lounge area was very comfortable and inviting. The location was extremely central and we were able to walk or catch the on off bus or the train to all the tourist destinations. All 4 of us highly recommend a stay here and we will stay here again when we are next in London. Thank you.

Just home from a lovely 3 night stay here, rooms were nice and clean, on our last night we had the 3 course meal with a drink and breakfast the next morning good selection of food both in the evening and morning, priced very reasonably, Andy in the restaurant was very nice and friendly, he even got a candle for desert as we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. Close to blackfriars underground station making getting around very easy. Would definitely stay here again.

I travelled from Glasgow to London for work. I stayed in the Premier Inn @ Blackfriars for 2 nights. I canno't rate this hotel enough on service at check-in, food, cleanliness, friendliness, really comfy beds, efficiency, music (within the restaurant/bar area) & overall service. I would stay here again & recommend to others to stay. Gutted to be going home tomorrow! Fantastic hotel with fantastic staff. X.

This a great location with clean and well presented rooms. The communal areas are bright and modern and food is ok. The staff were young and enthusiastic but a little immature… More focused on goofing around than delivering a quality service.

Good family rooms, excellent City of London location for visiting St Paul's and Tate Modern, a short walk from Blackfriars station. Breakfast is a bit of a bun fight at peak times. Good service from staff as always with Premier Inn.

Great value for families as children are free of charge when breakfast is waived. OK rooms are of course quite small for the 4 ' er lawn. We still think it's great.

Ideal for children to go and have dinner after a day of kicking.

Great room but wouldn't do the evening meal again. Was told to book a table as it was busy then when we arrived for our booked time it wasn't busy just a few families. Took ages to be served and when we ordered they upgraded our meal without telling us until we paired and then looked at the receipt and noticed after and I went to get my refund. Had to ask for the pudding after 4 members of staff walked past us after we had finished and didn't take our plated or ask us if we wanted our dessert. But would stay again but have a meal else where.

The hotel is well located near Blackfriars Metro Station. For London, it's also cheap, especially if you're icing as a family. Rooms come with up to 4 beds, which is unusual given the usual room sizes in London in this segment. The optional bookable breakfast is very good in itself, but the restaurant has limited space and there can then be waiting times during peak hours. In sum, it has been a good fit for a family weekend in London in a central location.

Very good hotel. Good service and well located. It is not an area noisy. It is near blackfriars.

There is a reason why it is considered the chain No. 1 in the UK.

New layout for premier inn. Looks good but totally impractical. Reception is now hidden behind a pillar. Breakfast is a find your own table. No member of staff asking how your sleep was then taking you to a free table. So while your eating people are standing by you waiting for you too finish. You could walk straight in without booking and leave without paying for it. No one asks if you've stayed.

Ideal location for visiting the city. Good sized bedrooms, clean and very helpful polite staff. This will become our regular hotel when visiting London for a weekend stay.

The rooms are very comfortable and have free Wi-Fi, hairdriers and coffee in the rooms. The bar area is large and really nice to sit in, with comfortable seating. We had a very poor experience with dining however. The food was delicious, but the wait staff forgot about us and another table. We had to ask for our next course, and they forgot what we ordered, then were told they had run out of the food we ordered.

Handy location near Blackfriars station. Clean and quiet. However be aware that your room does not have a safe, mini fridge or telephone. Toilet tissue wasn't replenished by daily housekeeping leaving us to ask for more. Took 3 requests before iron and ironing board was made available.

I stayed here for business reasons as I was working close by. You absolutely can't fault the hotel in terms of being conveniently located and reasonably priced for that. It is very busy though which is not surprising but still the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Also the rooms were quiet which is nice. So, overall, I can highly recommend this hotel.

Got messed around with dinner a bit. Came down the 1st night to be told to take a seat and we'd be seen shortly. No one came so we checked only to be told they now weren't taking reservations for another hour or so: all this despite the restaurant being half empty. Tried again the 2nd night, went to book a table at around 7 but we're told nothing would be available until almost 9. Turned up on time and we were told to just sit anywhere. If that was the case then why bother with a reservation system?!? The guy serving us ignored us multiple times and spent half his time stomping around and huffing. I heard other people say they were having issues with food they ordered not coming out. Waiting on my meal as we speak. The rooms are clean and comfortable if a bit on the small side. We had a family room which was clearly just a normal room with more beds in it.

Great hotel in good area near underground and trains to airports. Room was big enough for family of four, and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only caveat is trying to contact hotel during off hours — did not succeed in contacting them to let them know of a delay in arrival. Recommended highly.

Very nice hotel which has just been refurbished in the reception, bar & restaurant areas. We stayed in a family room on basement level and it was very spacious for the four of us. Breakfast was great quality and plentiful. Really close to Underground station but also a nice walk to Embankment & Westminster with plenty to see and learn on the way. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would visit again.

Rooms are OK, free Wi-Fi is very slow in the evenings. Breakfast is made of very cheap ingreadients, powder eggs, dutch tomatoes etc. If you get a deal on accommodation go for it but eat outside.

Excellent hotel, very good location in the city. While there, you have the possibility to walk to many places icons of London as Big Ben, the National Gallery, the Tate Modern, the River Thames, among others. Is a hotel's rooms small but very comfortable. Nice restaurant and excellent cuisine, with typical English breakfast: Bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, tomatoes, etc. Good service, nice, some speak esoañol. There is no gym, but you can go jogging or walking turning River crossing bridges. Is pretty quiet. In summer will many people of many nationalities. The type of plug to charge your phone or laptop, is different, they should buy one at reception at £ 5. Important change to pounds because do not accept euros.

Excellent excellent excellent. Staff were wonderful and genuinely nice. Helped me print off my boarding pass and helpful in helping me to connect to wife. Waiting staff were the same. Patient helpful and genuine. Rooms were spotless. Towels n bedding also. I think this premier needs a pat on the head indeed. I'll be back!

Restaurant seems under staffed and busy, the area and the closest underground station are nice and quiet. The room is clean and tidy. I've stayed in a few Premier Inn's around London and it's hard to put my finger on it but we prefer the others we've been too.

Go down Tudor Street and take your first right and you will see the front entrance. Great breakfast. Can't open windows though and air con tends to turn itself off after a while so staying on one of the top floors can get uncomfortably hot at night.

Excellent service with easy online checking in, room was extremely clean and perfect as the place to crash after a long day in London seeing the sights. It's all worth paying for the breakfast as it's a buddy with lots of choice and you can revisit as often as you want, though it can get very busy! The bar was good with very pleasant staff and the happy hour was very popular as a start to our evening out. All in all, this was a brilliant hotel to stay in and being right in the centre of everything made it perfect. Thanks Premier Inn.

Reception Staff were really friendly, allowed us to buy drinks even after the bar had closed, bed was comfy and shower was not, only complaint is that we couldn't open the windows, which made us cloggy in the morning and feel a little restricted, other than that was good.

This is one of the best premier Inn hotels. Cozy, friendly and with a relaxed atmosphere, it is perfect for a longer stay. The staff are exellent, the rooms and food are good and it is close to the centre of the city. The area is very quiet, which is difficult to believe, but it is well served by public transport and only a 20-30 minute walk from trafalgar square.

Good facilities, very clean, good breakfast. The rooms are not very spacious but clean, and bathroom with a good shower.

Lovely clean hotel with great staff however I stayed in room 405 and was woken up in the night by my bed shaking. I was alone in the room and had been fast asleep… I admit I was too scared to open my eyes to see why my bed was shaking but having never experienced it before I knew something wasn't right. Did I imagine it? Definitely not. Would it stop me staying there? Certainly not :-)

Lovely caring staff, Clean, accessible from the near by blackfriars tube station (which has the perk of using a lift crucial for me as I was traveling with my wife and 1&5 years old sons using a pram), furniture and room fitting in great condition; not the newly furnished though, left couple of bags with them at the day of check out and collect it at the end of the day. All on all it was a trouble free stay.

Rooms were spotless. A very wide-range at breakfast. Very close to Blackfriars tube station. Slept very well. A very nice place to stay.

We stayed here for three nights. It was a very pleasant stay. The room was comfortable. The staff were helpful. The location was amazing! It wasn't fancy but it met our needs at an affordable cost in London.

We had a wonderful stay here for 2 nights whilst visiting London at a weekend. The location is ideal as it's just minutes from the underground station and nearby shops. The staff are very friendly and the breakfasts are so delicious. Would certainly come here again.

A good hotel for the price in London. Rooms are clean and reasonably sized by London standards at this price range. The beds are comfy. And the location is very central so easy to get around.

Hotel very well located although it seems that is far from the Center, but next to it there are buses that take you to the Centre in a few minutes, and you're seeing London, also this station from Blackfriars leading you to Gatwick, the hotel is great, the breakfast hire him, worth, had Spanish working there, and we turned out very nice. Recommended.

Highly recommended hotel: rooms family (been marriage and two children in the same room), good location (very close to Blackfriars, St. Paul's Cathedral metro station), surrounded by pubs and areas of food and with a set price. In addition, the hotel is new (August 2012).
