Good location. But the bath, specifically where you take a shower, had a terrible smell of sewage. Hair coming out for the sewer when you wash your hands.

To run away! I didn't expect luxury either but for a 2-star hotel having a mouse wandering around in his room is unacceptable. The stairs are small and narrow, the floor is holed etc.
Regarding the staff without comment! They are not at all welcoming and certainly not professional. We also asked for a fan as it was really hot we were told in a tone that it was not written on the site and sleep the window open.
The only positive is the location.
Anyway one thing is for sure, we'll go back more!

Clean and cheap. Room is very small but with ensuite toilet/bathroom, a kettle, and TV. Very good location. Friendly staff. It is suitable if you are searching for a clean affordable place near the centre but not luxurious.

I was pleasantly surprised given the price the rooms were small but quite clean and it's close to any public transport.

A room in town center for a cheap Price. Rooms are tiny and old fashioned but for the price … The breakfast room is full of noisy tourists and food is not really good.

Ideal if you have a few pretensions and still in line with a 2 star, cheap standard rooms but CA 7mq, minimum breakfast, poor cleaning, staff ' cold ' apart from a few exceptions. Positive location: Well connected with Metro and bus, nice area with pubs and restaurants, just a few minutes walk to Kensington Park.

It's a decent place to stay. There are improvements that can be made, but overall it's OK. If you want to book the place, then do it and ignore the stupid reviews that expect 5 star services at a 2 star hotel. It's we'll located, has private bathrooms and it's cheap, and this is more than enough for London.

Thinking what you pay for staying here, the hotel is very good. Yes, the rooms were small and the decorations old, but it was clean enough, you had breakfast included and it has a great location. I was scared that it would be cold in the rooms after reading the reviews, but it was hot enough for us to stay inside with only a short sleeve t-shirt. The bed was not large, but big enough to accommodate my, my husband and our 22 months old baby. I am very happy with what I got for the money I paid.

Our stay started with the information that definitely no minute before 1pm is started with the check in.
The next encounter was a little more pleasant. The receptionist was completely overwhelmed. Tips on the area and restaurants should we ask Google.
Then came the reference to the 30-minute breakfast times. We should opt for a period, but it was promised that the room and breakfast would be sufficient.
The view to our room was then the next shock. Clearly, the English equipment does not meet the expectations of a German outfit. However, it is expected that a room for two people can also be used by two people. In our room, however, only one person could stand, the other had to be in bed or in the bathroom.
The sheets, the curtains and the carpeted floor had a lot of stains and the walls could have been painted with graffiti without any problems, it would hardly have been noticed.
The sanitary facilities were not only old but also all damaged. The sink had some quirks, the faucets were incomplete. The toilet had only quirks. The shower, on the other hand, had two disguises, because the first (shower enclosure) was obviously broken off and the gap was concealed with a dirty shower curtain. This did not get properly attached to the side, so that you could not get out of the shower without touching the dirty curtain. In addition, the dustbin could no longer be operated with the foot.
All the rooms we used were filthy.

You get what you pay for here guys. The staff are friendly enough. Not enough capacity for guests in the dining room even though we booked a time slot. Very basic good location. Could be cleaner. Would I stay again probably not.

Unfortunate! No recomrecomendable! Lots of dirt nothing like it appears in the pictures, the toilets unsanitary the staff unpleasant and very stupid! The room was very clean and the shower was very comfortable.

It's not the Ritz-Carlton, but it is one of the best value hotels Ive stayed in London. Staff were helpful and friendly, rooms were clean, and breakfast ticked all the boxes. Will definitely stay here again!

Very small Hotel and very clean. Old and neglected bathrooms, obsolete and exposed plumbing… obviously no bidet. It was a very good location.

Breakfast is a poor one and you can't stay more than half an hour.
The Holl with the reception is cozy with 2 chairs. This clean and cozy.
It Has a small luggage storage but luckily they are centering our suitcases and despite being a meter from reception it is not guarded: in the sense that when we came back to take a thing out of the suitcase it had changed the receptionist and although not knowing us we did not ask Not even who we were.
The rooms were one on the 3rd floor and the high on the 4th floor, and there is no elevator. The small rooms to have a 4 bed and the other 3 only had a closet half a meter wide.
All rooms have carpeting.
The bathroom with sink very small and ruined, the shower has broken doors replaced by a curtain that brings out the water.
The view of the typical London palaces is beautiful And from the room on the 4th floor you can see a little further. The interiors of the corridors are Also beautiful and carpeted.
An 8 minute walk from Queenswey station from where you reach all London comfortably, and you can catch A lot of buses even closer.

The worst experience I have ever had. Excrement in the bed and refused a refund, preferred to have a shouting match in the foyer. Stay absolutely anywhere else.

The only thing I could do was the beds were comfortable and their location. Poor value for money Staff passed everything. One of the days we had breakfast at a table, we ended up and at all the time they did not pick up the dishes from the previous customer. We were put on a fourth floor without a lift with a stroller and a child, to climb, very complicated stairs.

Prestigious area and well served near the vitality of Bayswater. The hotel is however only suitable for stays in large economy: tiny rooms.

The situation was actually good. In 5 minutes you were at a bus stop, the subway wasn't much further away. Fast food chains were right next to the subway stop. Right next to the hotel was a small supermarket and pubs are not far away. The choice at breakfast was manageable. 4 different cereals, cheese, spreads, and fresh vegetables. The coffee was well. The room was itself for 2 * mies. We were in third place in an old building room (high) where an additional floor was heeded. This was then only a close 1, 4m high. There was the double bed. Darder was the bathroom built in. All in all, the décor seemed worn to work, and it could well have been cleaner.

I was aware of the too many bad reviews about this hotel and was scared to death about bed bugs. BUT fortunately it was a good experience, we were in room 407 and it was very clean, no signs of insects or animals of any sort. The international reception staff wasn't too kind (probably because many of them were from other countries) but helpful enough to let me store luggage two hours after check out. It was an overall good experience but I do get where the bad reviews come from, The hotel did indeed look a bit dirty and had a filthy moquette all' over the stairs and also lacked an escalator. Breakfast is exactly how they describe it to be. Anyway if you wanna try this hotel, try it at your own risk, you may be very lucky or extremely unsatisfied. If anything consider getting an Airbnb. Which is cheaper and probably less risky.

First, if you're a tourist, know that they'll make you buy a plug adaptor. My room was small, dirty and the windows was both hard to open and close. Another thing, you better bring your blanket because all they give you is a very thin sheet with an even thiner plaid. Needless to say I was freezing the whole night.

Dont book this hotel expecting 5 star luxury. If you would rather spend your money enjoying London itself and dont want to spend a small fortune on accomadation then this place is for you. Simple unfussy rooms, friendly staff, great location and a price that is hard to beat. On the downside I would say however that the rooms were slightly cold but there is a heater provided and the bed blankets could do with being updated. Breakfast wich is included in the price is standard fare and is in keeping with the price you pay. All in all I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

It's a small hotel, the rooms are small and compact but that is kind of a standard in London. The bathroom is small as well. Generally the aesthetics are fine. Breakfast is ok. It's continental style breakfast but I think the choice food is not great. It has free Wi-Fi but it is only available in the reception's room. Overall it's ok.

Beautiful location very close to kensington gardens. The architecture is very historical and attractive, but the interiors are obsolete and not excelling in cleanness. Personnel is not very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are small and not really comfortable, but cheaper that alternatives. The breakfast room is in the basement. It is very small not provided with windows, resulting very oppressive and unpleasant. The choices are quite limited, but simple and more than sufficient to feed even the most hungry ones. Most probably I would not reccomend it for middle class families with small kids and not used to afford or easily adapt to lower standards. On the opposite it fits perfectly to students and youngers looking for a cheap solution living most of the time around the City.

Two star hotel. Not too bad if you know what to expect and just. Need place to sleep. Clean, not too noisy and close to parks and metro.

Hotel rooms were rather tight fit, smaller than a New York apartment. Included breakfast was enough to satisfy the morning hunger. Disappointed by the lack of Wi-Fi on the upper floors, and no safe in rooms. The neighborhood is wonderful and quiet. Lots of places to eat nearby. Overall it was comfortable, safe, and quite.

Beautiful façade. Bad inside. I had a room where there was only a bed and a night table. Will have been 4 sqm. I had to put my suitcase in the shower. In the bathroom even a nail to hang towels. Breakfast very poor. Bad judgment.

I don't know. It was kind of cheap for London so we booked it. Not to bed if it is only for the night. Roms are kind of clean, bathroom old and needs fixing. Breakfast very basic, coffee/tea and toast, some cereals.

As far as we concern from previous reviews here, the hotel is super old and everything is out dated. Even then they should have do better maintenance but it's like they don't even care. Door can't be locked from inside. Key to the room is simple, I don't want to imagine how easy it would be if someone tries to break in. The big window is connected to some kind of a roof from another building and it won't shut properly. We can feel the air flows in thru all night. Lucky us we ain't staying in cold winter night. Our room is for 4 ppl. It has 2 singles and one double bed separate to half floor up. It was not that bad (except mentioned lockless door and unable-to-shut windows) it was semi clean. Huge deducted score goes to filthy carpet. Service personnel were okay. They are not that rude like the other reviews say. Oh and Wi-Fi is only available in the tiny lobby area regardless what they describe in the booking websites. After all it is not too bad for us. It is the worst hotel we even encountered but we didn't hate it. For the location and price point, if u get lucky get a good price, it is not bad at all. We can revisit if the other hotels ain't available.

Situated on the Prince's Square (and not to be confused with another Palace Hotel on Prince's Square: also on a corner), I had a double bedroom on the third floor (up two flights of narrow stairs followed a flight of even narrower stairs) to enter a room which smelt strongly of paint (the paint smell would disappear over night, but be back by the following evening) to find a double bed squeezed up against three walls (so there would be no way for a second person to get in or out) with a headboard propped up on the floor next to the rat poison. The "head" side of the bed was against the single glazed sash window (with thin curtains: glad I was on the back without a street light) facing a TV which didn't work. The Wi-Fi also didn't work. The bed had two thin thread-bear covers on it and seemed reasonably clean. The kettle, hairdryer and lamp needed an extension (with frying cables and which sparked when plugged in) from the sole socket at the bottom of the bed. The room did have a narrow wardrobe which I could just about fully open before it hit the bed. However, I could not fully open the en-suite door because of the wall — and if there was any one wider than me, they would not have been able to get in to the shower (which was not supplied with any shower gel etc). Breakfast was "continental" which consisted of bread (with slow toasters), cereals, one type of cheese slice and boiled eggs: you have to "book" the breakfast slot the day before and breakfast is served from 7.

Very good relation quality price, close to hyde park, can not ask more for that price.

The worst hotel ever… I've been to many countries before, I love UK but this one hotel will remain once and for all in my darkest experiences and nightmares. Do you know what Bedbug is? Well after staying for about 3 days I discovered that the bed was full of Bedbugs and once I thought that I had mosquito bites… well I was full bitten by those unhealthy insects. Both of my arms had more than 15 bite spots which is unacceptable for a hotel in general. The funny was that had a penalty for stain the towels! I totally warn everybody to stay away from this hotel which made my trip to UK a nightmare!

We got a double ensuite room for 48 euros per night. The hotel for this price was really GOOD! Very well located! very clean! The only bad thing for us was the breakfast, which was basic and not good. I will recommend this hotel! +++.

I was charged £100 per night for a very small room. There was no room to eat breakfast and I had to stand up to eat it. On complaining to the receptionist and asking for another suitable room for 3 adults I was told the manager wasn't there and she could do nothing. The room was damp, paint peeling and shabby. The towels were dirty. Over priced sub standard accommodation and no offer of a refund. Would not recommend it. Would not stay there again.

Bed and room are Awfull and old. You feel when you are in a youth hostel, not a hotel. Windows cannot be opened. Breakfast is too simple. Time for breakfast is short, that the room is too small. The most all. Unfrendly guy at the front desk.

Typical hotel in London four or five floors, no elevator and stairs of wood. Enough to spend a few days and well located.

On the other hand is clean and spacious.

The apartment is located in a quiet, safe, 36, but at the same time convenient to many interesting places in London (Portobello Road, notting hill, Kensington Palace, Hyde Park). It is also very well served by both subway (2 stations and 2 lines) or by bus (although we welcome move on foot). The apartment is small but has everything you may need. It's clean and has new amenities. From the fourth floor we enjoyed a nice view over the rooftops of Notting hill and Bayswater Road. Also noteworthy is The Champion pub across the road. Also appreciated the opportunity to leave your luggage at reception on departure day to enjoy the last hours of freedom in London.

We had a very good stay at the Palace Court Hotel. Very clean room, made every day so that the bathroom and the towels are changed tt day.

Great price, great position and great overall. Stayed in a triple room then again in a twin room. Loved it, clean, tidy look after yourself in the self contained kitchen. The rooms are basic and provide the basic needs. Plenty of space and the best location. Staff were friendly and helpful. I will certainly be back as many times as I am able.

I slept there for 45€ the night and it was ok the breakfast wasn´t very good but I think that the hotel is ok if u just want to go sleeping if u searching after a nice family hotel then this is the wrong place this is just good for to sleep there and eat a acceptable breakfast.

The familyroom was small, as well as the breakfastroom. Some people was not be able to have breakfast. At the last day we leave the suitcase at the reception for a few houres. BIG MISTAKE! When we came back, suitcase was gone! Stolen! Good advice? Avoid this place.

We stayed a week at this hotel. Our room was very basic, but clean. Since we were out all day and only came back to sleep, the hotel met our needs. However, if you need a comfortable place to regroup mid-day, or relax early evening (not just crash and then run out again), this hotel would dissappoint. Also, the hotel staff are not good at booking or helping out with any tourist event or transportation. We asked their help twice in this regard and it was a big (! ) mistake both times. However, if what you need is a clean bed in a convenient (near food and transportation) location, the Palace Court Hotel offers this.
