Was robbed at this hotel my designer belt was taken out of my room by house keeping and the front desk refused to do anything about it refused to look back on the camera to see who had been in my room made me feel like I was the criminal also very over priced food rude staff and my rooms only window was wallpapered over dark cold room never ever again avoid avoid.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Had a slight problem with our room, informed reception, the problem was dealt with swiftly & exceeded expectations. Absolutely super customer service. Highly recommend.

Perfect location for Harrods, you can walk it easily & it’s just opposite the tube station which is a massive bonus when you have luggage. Hotel was fabulous. We will be back 100%.

Great location and stunning building, sadly the room was not the greatest. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were very hard — the room itself was clean but housekeeping never cleaned the room the next day and we had to chase some towels. As in any stay you want to be able to have a drink in the hotel bar but it was shut before 11 pm and a Friday and Saturday night — very disappointing for the amount of money paid. Will not be going back.

Poor and slow staff at bar, waiter talking to guests and not doing his job, attitude of reception staff in bar. Was considering staying next time however will give it a miss.

Afternoon tea cakes stale sandwiches dry and plain fillings. Tea was cold service disgusting. It wasted our day.

I stayed at the Bailey's a few years ago, when they were remodeling. Even then an outstanding experience. I enjoyed the location, with beautiful smallish shops and a warm, upscale residential neighborhood feel. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Although our room was quite cozy, it was clean and the staff are all fabulous! Being here in early January, the Foyer was decorated beautifully as well! We stayed here for 4 nights before our Around the World cruise and are pleased that we did. A tube (subway) station is literally across the street so you can get to anywhere in a jiffy and a couple of the Hop on Hop off buses stop right in front of the hotel restaurant as well. To get around on the Transit system efficiently, we had purchased an Oyster Card that you must pay 5 pounds for and then you load it with however much money you think you may need during your stay, however, a tip from a local on our last night was to simply use iPay on your IPhone and you can simply pay that way and it is cheaper. Research it and enjoy your stay at The Bailey’s Hotel!

This has been a very nice experience here! The staff is very friendly and so helpful in all our of needs. The hotel is quite beautiful and many things close by to see. The underground station is right here and the bus stop so very easy to get around! I highly recommend this place to stay at!

I dined at the hotel restaurant this evening; what a horrendous experience. The waiter spilled a large glass of red wine on my husband and myself. Our trousers were soaked and my husband’s suit jacket, my sweater, and my silk scarf were ruined. The response from the restaurant manger was to offer us a 20% discount on our meal. This was a completely unacceptable response. I look forward to hearing from hotel management on how they are going to address our losses.

Really nice hotel in great location. Very noisy at the weekend though with very loud music in the hotel. Should have been forewarned by the hotel I think! Not the friendliest or even most helpful of staff. Customer service could be better.

Hotels very close to The Gloucester Tube and convenient to comfortably reach almost all of London's landmarks and Heathrow Airport. On foot you can reach a number of museums such as Science or Harrods where you can shop or buy souvenirs while a short walk from the hotel there are many restaurants besides of course the one inside the hotel. The staff I met was helpful and professional.

The room was very quiet and spacious for a London older (modernized) building hotel and the service people were all very attentive. Can’t beat the Kensington location and the tube is right across the street. I treated myself to a full English breakfast every morning despite all of the other perhaps healthier options at the buffet. The in room expresso machine gave me the boost in the morning I needed to get over my jet lag. Great stay!

Excellent. Me and my Mother stayed for about 7 days at this hotel. She fell down on the sidewalk & had to be in bed the entire time when we visited England. They gave us extra ice for ice packs & so much more to assist my Mother. I never will forget it because my Mom was so proud we went to England & she only got to stay in the hotel & we flew back home to Charlotte, NC, USA. Now years later, My Mom was buried just this past Wed. The Lord took her back from me. I remember our trip which was mostly at the Bailey Hotel. I stayed here for a few days while on vacation with my wife. The staff greeted us at the door and helped us with our bags. The hotel was well kept, clean with a very classic look, a large bar and lounge is just left of the lobby. The rooms were also clean, nice size TV with a large bathroom. A bit on the small side but fine for the two of us and we didn't spend much time in the room as we were out most of the day. The doorways between the halls were a bit snug from what we're used to for the size of our suitcases but that's standard throughout the UK/Europe. All in all had a great stay, the staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations or the fastest route to an area of London. The location was perfect with the tube/subway station across the street and restaurants only minutes away. And a grocery across the street as well as a bank. Everything you'd need within walking distance of the front door. We would definitely stay here again.

Its a great hotel for American families. Its combination of pricing, convenient location, and the availability of 2 double beds in most rooms cant be beat. Its close to best museums and a short walk to Kensington palace. Glouster road tube station (with most tourist friendly routes) is right there. Affordable eats are all around and breakfast at hotel is big perk. Rooms are different sizes ranging from small to generous… make sure to pay small upgrade for delux family room. Its an older hotel with a recent renovation everything is clean and bathrooms are newish. Glad we stayed 7 nights. Would repeat.

We stayed at The Bailey’s for our trip to London in May! We loved everything about it! The room was lovely, the staff was helpful and friendly! Location was fantastic, tube stop steps away and bus stops right out front! The breakfast was amazing, so I definitely recommend adding it to your stay! It was a great start to our day every day that we were there! Gary was so helpful on the day of our departure making sure we had a taxi to Victoria Coach Station during non peak hours! Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay!

Very pleased with the hotel and room. Underground parking is available, shared with the neighbouring hotel. Great location; over the road from the tube station and there are plenty of places for food if you don't want breakfast from the hotel. The buffet breakfast met expectations and the room was clean and well-maintained. I'd ordered a small birthday cake for my wife's birthday. It was there waiting as requested and I must say it was very nice.

My favorite place, I feel at home here. Especially since I renovated my master bath to be an exact copy of the Baileys bath.

Some of the single rooms are far too much small (example 203). Besides, perfect service, location, staff, breakfast etc. Highly recomend.

Great hotel attached to Gloucester metro station. Extremely professional staff and attentive to the needs of the customer. The building is old and really gorgeous. I recommend staying with anyone.

Overall a good hotel. The location is unbeatable as it is right on the subway station. Also, the rooms are very clean and super scarf insulated. It's a pity that we had a "view" of a brick wall in a deluxe room (room 210). There is also a very hectic atmosphere at breakfast, which makes a cosy, quiet breakfast impossible. The poor waitresses work incredibly stressed and are therefore always on the road. Can't you hire more staff to relieve you of anything?

Very stylish hotel in a very central but relatively quiet location.

We really liked the Baileys. The location is best feature as right across street from Gloucester Road station which has 3 lines passing thru. The neighborhood is one of the more charming ones with everything you could ask for within a block. We had a luxury room which was pretty nice and great value as included fine buffet breakfast and ample extra food credits for lunch.

I will never stay anywhere else! perfect location, gorgeous hotel, excellent breakfast, wonderful service. Very English, heated towel racks, toast comes in toast racks! i loved every minute of it.

The absolute WORST client service I have experienced. I stayed here for 3 nights, I have a push chair and no one helped me through the stairs not even once. No one helped me with luggage at check in or check out. I upgraded to a bigger room with breakfast and at check out I have been told breakfast was not included and had to pay £30 extra per day. Breakfast was awful, very poor selection and bad quality food. One of the 3 days the cleaner didn't do our room. We asked for a cot bed and was not supplied. We had to call reception twice to remind them. The manager was extremely rude and disrespectful shouting at me at check out. horrible experience.

As soon as we walked through the door that the immaculately dressed doorman opened for us, we knew this was a good choice and one night would never be a long enough stay. On a brief break travelling from Hampshire for an album launch event we chose this for its incredible position and anything else would be a bonus. Check in was efficient, friendly and everything was correct even with a choice of a room with shower or bath. This was appreciated. The sumptuous decor of the reception area continued along the corridor with beautiful fresh floral arrangements and attractive pictures on the walls. In the lift we wondered if the style and well kept appearance would change when we reached our room. We need not have worried. The room on the first floor was a lovely size and decorated to a high standard, clean and plush period furnishings, large tv, complimentary bottled water, great shower, slippers and USB charging points and this was a standard room. The huge bed and top class bedding led to a good night sleep. The window had no view and contained privacy glass but that didn’t matter for one night and a higher floor may have afforded a view. The hotel was surrounded by snow at this time but we received a warm welcome from all staff. Breakfast was of good quality and very tasty too, the hot buffet served on heated plates. Something for all tastes and the most delicious Loseley Hall yoghurt imaginable. No sauce bottles here — ketchup served in their own hygienic little jars.

Loved the hotel! Very cute, very nice and proper staff. Nicely decorated all in all. I will look forward to going back there.

Great location, train from Heathrow to Gloucester Road Station then walk across the street. Friendly staff, happy to answer any questions about things to do in the local area. The rooms are a reasonable size and have a safe, TV and excellent bathroom. Good value for money, especially in such a nice part of London.

We went to the Bailey's for Boxing Day, and a few days after before the new year. The hotel is located on Gloucester Road, opposite the underground station. It is very near to the Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and by bus we can easily reach Knightsbridge. The lobby is well decorated and well kept, and you feel like you just entered one of those British mansions: not too big so you can feel at home, but still fancy enough to leave you refreshed. The room we had was not exactly as promised, and we seem to have been lacking a bit of room, compared to what the photos on site showed. But the beds were comfortable, and the shower was very nice. We did not get much of a view at all, and even though it seems like we would not in Central London, I expected more than a building one foot behind your window (which may actually also belong to the hotel). Since we were on the 4th floor, I believe not many rooms may have a view, if none at all. Service was good, the times we needed a toothbrush or towel, these were brought promptly to our room. Breakfast is not very well managed, since we usually have to wait a long queue to be seated. Quality of the breakfast was good though.

I have just stayed the weekend with my best friend at this hotel. It's the first time we have stayed here and I must say how wonderful it is ♥ ♥ ♥ I would love to stay again next time we come back as also it's in a great situation for travelling the underground The room was fantastic and very clean with everything you could need for a enjoyable stay. All staff are fantastic and could not be more helpful and straight there if you have any questions. There did however seem to be a shortage of staff on the day we had breakfast so we did have to wait for the food to be refilled but it was delicious But all in all I would highly recommend it and will difently be staying again Thanks for a wonderful stay Bailey's hotel ♥ ♥ ♥

Great historic Hotel, Victorian townhouse, all renovated within walking distance of Gloucester Road underground stop, Kensington District. 15 minutes to region from the Victoria and Albert Museum. Prices not too high but maybe we were able to get back into an offer.

In front of the Metro, so easy to get to the stations, airport etc small but well-conditioned rooms.

This is a lovely hotel with excellent food. Right across from the Tube. Quaint pub across the street with other restaurants as well. Very clean neat part of London with a safe feeling at all times. The staff is outstanding.

Great customer service and lovely quaint hotel. Very personalized service making us feel welcome and cared for during our stay in London. Location is great for pretty much everything you need is within walking distance or a bus/u tube ride. Underground station is across the road which was awesome. We will stay here again upon our return to London and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Best location for a central London base. Directly across from the tube made all travel super easy, even to and from the airport with bags. Quicker than any cab.

Great hotel and very good location for any visit to London. Right next to the Gloucester road tube station makes it very easy to find. Food here is good although breakfast is a bit limited in choices compared to most, but tastes good all the same.

The hotel was very comfortable. The staff was pleasant. We ordered room service a number of times. Food was good, but their service was not as prompt as we hoped. We would come back to stay with them, if we are in london.

Took my Mum to Olives restaurant for a birthday afternoon tea. All the food was utterly delicious, I had coffee instead of tea but that was no problem for our lovely waiter Andrei! He was very attentive and made Mums birthday tea even more lovely!
I would totally recommend this place!

Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They all have a different way of interacting with you, and keep a very polite, manner whilst having a degree of informality. I had a leaky shower (unbeknownst to me) in a standard room, and was instantly upgraded to the top floor with no fuss. Price is good for the service/facilities, and the attached 'Olives' Italian restaurant is excellent. Highly recommended.

Afternoon Tea to try!

My wife and I just got back from staying in London. We stayed at the Bailey; while the room was small the staff was absolutely perfect, the rooms — — small as they were, were beautiful and clean and the location is perfect. There is literally a tube stop right outside; but there are plenty of other things very near the hotel like the Natural History Museum and Harrods. Again — — I can't stress enough the professionalism, kindness and flexibility of the staff. They were awesome!

Simple but elegant room, a pleasant stay. Maybe the rooms on the 5th floor could be better soundproofed, but nothing dramatic.

Very charming hotel, a bit old-fashionhed (we liked that), perfectly situated just opposite Gloucester Road tube station. The most friendly and helpful staff I've ever experienced. Everybody kind and smiling, trying to do his or her best to make you comfortable. Unfortunately, my daughter got sick on the last day of our stay, but we were allowed to stay after check-out hour so she could rest until we were going to the airport — no extra charges. The room was nice and clean, and so was the bathroom. The beds were comfortable, and it was nice that the room had aircondition. Breakfast was very good — a lot of things to choose from. We should certainly love to come back to this hotel. Our only complaint would be that access to the internet is a bit overpriced at GBP 10 per day. But on the overall — thanks to all the staff that made our stay at Bailey's a very pleasant experience.

After a rather uninviting stop at the other hotel we decided we need a new location. On my walk I found the Baileys and was welcomed with a smile and very lovely surroundings. If you're trying to find a really great deal on this amazing hotel I'd highly suggest booking it through HotelRaven. Com They have great deals for it on there! The location of the Bailey's is excellent — right across the street from the Gloucester Rd tube station. There is a Boots Pharmacy and a grocery store a few footsteps away, along with restaurants and a couple of places to get coffee. The room is quite small for American standards and there was no rack to place my luggage. Also no drawers for my clothing. I usually stay at the Millennium Gloucester next door and will probably go back there on my next trip, just for the extra room.

He made the booking arrangement very easy, appropriate and was very accommodating to ensure we were comfortable for our first visit in London as a family. Breakfast is superb with the staff in the mornings incredibly helpful and great with the kids also. The experience for us a family was second to none on our European trip so far. They definitely made up for what could have been an absolute disaster. Overall, well done to the team at Baileys and in particular those that I have mentioned by name.

Disappointing service from the front desk staff, especially Jonas who was unhelpful & very patronising.

Location is good, walk across the street is the subway, walking down the street, there are several very good restaurants, Kingston Palace, just a few blocks away. Here's London in a quiet area. Hotel services are particularly good, and the staff helped us a lot. The doorman and front Desk staff will send you to where you want to go anywhere. The two have never been to London, the woman, here, is staggering. Room very quiet, spacious, and just didn't have what view. The bathroom may be small, and your heart. Room rates include Breakfast, the price also good, not too expensive.

Pleasant staff always helpful and luxurious bedrooms. Always a delight when I stay here.

Recently refurbished and looks a lot nicer than it use to, drinks are pretty expensive but I was on the cocktails. Good place to go for a quiet drink.

A great hotel, very nice and friendly Personal. Have a club twin room, I set up really huge and absolutely clean, beautiful British as shown on the Picture. Room large single beds with a little too soft Mattress. Breakfast British and Continental, in a big bright Room. Bar with comfortable furniture for guests to let. Very end the day nice and pleasant hotel. Tube directly at the Door. Big Thanks for the pleasant stay.

It started of with the check in. I asked if they had internet and Antonio replied that its 10 pounds oer day (! ) When I said I thought that was rediculous, he replied that he has a friend working at another hotel where its even more. Basically saying deal with it. Youre better of getting a internet sim on the high streets. The second issue was in the room. You could clearly see the made went through it quickly. Thats a problem in current day hotels as they have to manage to clean a lot in little time. The toilet seat was spotted and so was the sink. Not a nice idea to go to the toilet. Also everything from the hallways to the rooms smell after chloride. Again not nice. In my room upon enteri I found the heating turned on its highest and on the warmest setting. Again, not what youre hoping for after a days hard work. The room I stayed in was 596. I guess normalky it would be a nice room if clean. With breakfast asking for a cappuccino is to much. It will cost me an additional 4.35 pound (! ) and the breakfast is 13.50 pounds. Price for breakfast is ok, but for my croissant and scrambled egg one might expect a bit more service translated in a cappucino. But 4.35 is an absolute rip off! The waiter smiled and seriously asked if I wanted one. Uhm no, ill get a proper one from Costa thank you. The TV System is very buggy, and every channel keeps lagging or just freezes up. Everyone is trained to get more money and up sell, service is clearly second.

Super awesome location — few seconds away from the tube station (right across the street), several grocery stores and restaurants within the block. Stayed there for a week on Dec 2013. The customer service was awesome, got a free upgrade to a suite (one king size bed and a sofa bed) when they knew there were three of us (originally we booked a room with two twin beds). There was free Wi-Fi in the lobby. I'd definitely go there again if visiting London.
