The Hotel Mercure London Bridge hotel is centrally located in London. The staff and concierge services are the best. It is safe, very clean and quite rooms. And the lobby is extremely meticulous about who can pass into the lobby area for safely. And terrific restaurants are located just walks away from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel, the rooms are spacious!

Great hotel where you feel the warmth of kindness and the welcome… You already feel it from the front desk, unusual… But very pleasant, spacious, tastefully decorated and you feel right at home. Clean and tidy rooms, our located on the first floor had a little bathroom (only downside). Beautiful hotels in London. To come back.

Very friendly receptionist. Tastefully furnished hotel. Sufficient large rooms with good beds (no back pain, juhey). Very modern bathrooms, our shower, however, had a small problem with the overflow. Despite the very central location absolutely quiet nights. Breakfast is high quality, varied and is constantly being topped up until the end of breakfast time. Happy again.

Nice hotel in a convenient location near Southwark Metro station. Very friendly staff, young, helpful and especially smiling. Comfortable and complete room even with ironing board and iron, clean and equipped bathroom. Breakfast is very good.

For a long weekend, we chose the Mercure London Bridge Hotel. The staff were very nice and professional. When the desire for Nutella at breakfast could not be covered with the offer, a nut nugat cream was improvised in the kitchen — great!
Our room was modern, quietly rear-facing and clean.
Breakfast, as described, was unique.
We are very happy to come back here and recommend the hotel!

Stayed at the Hotel Mercure for one night to attend a work event nearby. The hotel was clean and the open plan lobby was nice. Slightly confusing as to where the check desk was as it is just a table in the middle of the lobby. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and well kept. Breakfast was good and catered for everyone. Overall a good hotel in London for business.

I think he's overqualified with four stars. Renovated room to new, something small. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

A great hotel, considering that we are not dealing with German standards here! For London conditions definitely a good hotel. Especially the staff is cordial and very attentive. Service at breakfast is friendly. The choice, however, is rather something for a single overnight stay. At 3 breakfast days it becomes somewhat "one-sided". Practically the M&S food is right across the street. Luggage storage is available at the hotel free of charge. We booked an early check-in in advance (+ £30), this amount was not charged to us, the check-in was made available to us free of charge. That was great!
The shower head was quite calcification. The rooms were unpleasantly strongly perfumed and although we had the air conditioning and the window opened continuously, it was way too warm in the room (April). Breakfast is its price — unfortunately — not worth it (fried eggs were oily, bacon not crispy, sausage clabbery, toasters did not work properly…). The Tube stations are a little further away (at normal speed scarce 7-10 minutes to London Bridge station — Jubile line — as well as to Southwark station).
But quite a hotel that you can check in without hesitation.

Free upgrade to junior suite when I arrived. Gorgeous room on the top floor. Beautiful purple lights outside that lit up the room. Loved the decor and the dual shower head, one that was a overhead rain one. Also loved that it had two toilets. I would definitely stay here again.

Great staff, clean rooms, lots of space, the bed is big. Shower very good! Metro station around 7min walking and bus lines at the door of the hotel. The only downside is the lift, only one for the whole hotel and for no more than 4 persons. I fully recommend this hotel.

Well situated in London. Staff are somewhat passive and not necessarily looking out for guests comfort. Bare minimum. Very nice however.

I use this hotel when staying in London for work occasionally, the rooms are not huge but they are well equipped and nicely done. What makes this hotel great is the staff — they are always happy to help and the place has a nice atmosphere. Great location too, for work or play!

Good location, modern amenities. Still mies: Smooth smelling towels in the bathroom, horrible, windowless conference rooms without working air conditioning, rattling VGA-only beamer and at every lunch something went wrong — which was perhaps due to the overall overwhelmed staff. Next time we live right next with the Queen.

Had a wonderful stay here. The lobby is really modern and very cool to hang out in. The rooms was comfy and had everything we needed and the bathroom was awesome too with a great rain shower and a really modern feel to it also. Nice touch leaving a slice of cheesecake and happy birthday message for my wife too!

We found the room to be very clean, inviting, and enjoyable to stay in. The breakfast was lovely with a great amount of choice and everything looked fantastic. The cookies and water in the lobby throughout the day was a great touch and I appreciated that the flavour of the water was different each day, we hadn't seen that before and it was a very good detail. Finally the staff were very kind, approachable, and clearly knew what they were doing. Overall the stay was very good and we will definitely be coming back again!

Excellent hotel, the attention of all the staff was perfect, very polite and attentive with a smile always, the room super comfortable and with enough space, no doubt I recommend and would return to stay here on the next trip to London.

Staff with small onions, many of which are French. The décor is very cosy, it feels like home. The rooms are nice but little better to do. Breakfast atypically English with possibility to go in pure Continental mode, your big choice for any type of diet. The Marco's restaurant is OK. We will return as the basis of our next tourist or bussisness stay!

Check in and out was a breeze. Staff were very efficient and helpful. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room were excellent. Only short coming — no body lotion and conditioner in the bathroom. Slippers and bathrobes would be a big plus. :)

The hotel is highly recommended if you plan to watch the New Years Eve SIlvesteram fireworks. You can walk to the various viewing areas and don't have to resort to the crowded subways at night.
Remember to secure the tickets for the viewing areas early:-)

From the moment we arrived until we left we had a great hotel experience. Easy check in with very friendly reception staff, really good room with every amenity. Clean, bright and very comfortable. Fantastic variety at breakfast — couldn't believe it. And lovely breakfast staff who spent some good time with us. A great overall experience.

Overall a good experience. Liked the location, able to walk to most central London attractions. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nice except for the make your own tea on the upstairs bit. Didn't find chopped fruit salad until the end of first breakfast.

From the minute we arrived and were helped with luggage up the stairs, friendly check in, fast elevator and lovely clean and well presented room we knew we had chosen our hotel in London well! Could not fault a thing, we were made to feel extremely welcome and valued. Room was comfortable and clean. Every member of staff we met, front of house, restaurant, bar and room attendants were lovely. So glad we have booked again for a visit in March 2018!

Friendly welcome. Superb rooms. Great shower! Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. A very relaxing stay. We stayed here for shows in West end and found it very easy to walk. (30 mins) taxi about £12.

Really loved the check in desk, which did not have the usual formalities as it was near the door and easy to access. The fact that staff were sitting next to you removed the usual barrier. The place is extremely clean. We loved the chill out spots in main area with the chess boards which kept my son occupied. Location is fantastic, opposite the Tate, and close the ST Paul's, not far to Tower Bridge. The beds were extremely comfortable. This hotel is also child friendly and we loved the home made cookies at reception.

Overall was considered average, have experienced better Accor hospitality. Good : 1. The people in Mercure London Bridge were the ones who made the difference throughout my stay, especially those at the breakfast service. Big applause for them. 2. The location is good & near amenities & convenience shops 3. Food selection for breakfast is pretty good Bad : 1. No mineral waters/bottled waters was given throughout the entire 5 days stay 2. No cotton buds, sanitary bags or shower caps was given, stating it was not available except for the shower caps given upon request 3. The kettle was not working but changed after request as the housekeeping staff said it was the wrong kettle 4. The rain shower was spraying water onto the entire bathroom surfaces, even outside the shower area, caused my clothes, towel, facial stuff & makeup wet, super wet on the first day & subsequently I didn't dare to use the rain shower anymore -your maintenance people should really check it & repair immediately; should not have anyone staying in that room in the first place.

We usually stay at this hotel when visiting London. As usual the welcome was warm and friendly. As we'd checked in online we were quickly handed our keys and off up to our room. Perhaps too quickly as we forgot to arrange room credit for food and drinks and also forgot to order newspapers. The only niggle was that the one time we wanted to have a tea and coffee in the room the only tea available was fruit tea so hubby had to make do with coffee.

My wife and I again chose the Mercure London Bridge for its high standards of cleanliness and friendliness of staff as well as good access to the places we wanted to go in London. We were a little disappointed that our towels were not very clean on the first night and that the extractor fan in the bathroom did not seem to work. We reported this to the reception staff first thing in the morning and were surprised to find that nothing had been done about this when we returned to our room shortly after 2.00 pm. When we reported this, our room was cleaned straight away and we were given a voucher for the bar so that we could have a drink while we waited. This was all dealt with very well by the duty manager, who could not have been more helpful. We got the impression that the chap in the morning had not really understood our concerns and issues with the room but we certainly had a much better experience in the afternoon. Perhaps the language issue is one that seemed to cause the staff in general to be less friendly than we remembered from our previous visit. They also seemed to be far more interested in their laptops than the guests at times. They were perfectly polite but often slow to make eye contact or even acknowledge our presence. We have stayed in many Accor hotels over the years, both as a couple and as a family when our children were younger, and the experience has always been really positive.

Really beautiful, all very nice. It is 2 minutes from the Metro, great food and who likes the Martini the hotel bar really does it very well XD.

Only on day three if our weeklong stay, but so far everything is great. The room is basically brand new and both fresh and cozy. Top notch bath — super fresh. Friendly staff and perfect location.

Room was great. Really good night's sleep. Staff were friendly and attentive. Parts of the hotel were a bit messy but they're currently having some work done. No reason not to give the place 5 stars though. Will definitely return.

Good, clean sizeable room. 5 minutes walk to city hall, tate modern and Tower Bridge. Only complaint, housekeeping tried to enter the room twice between 10 and 11 when checkout was not until 12.

Hotel Mercure is in a great location. The hotel itself is clean, modern and the rooms are decent and functional bit not exceptional in any way. I'd stay again if I was on that side of London.

Good location. The food in the restaurant is really regular. Laundry prices are outrageous. I got a room upgrade because I was staying 3 weeks. Premium room has a Nespresso machine with some free capsules. Lots of amenities, but the room is really old, begging for refurbishing. The A/C does not work. The TV is really small and old, besides has just few channels. Had a problem with the boiler, leaving us without hot water for 7 hours. Hotel without a shower. The internet is good.

We stayed for one night on a Friday night. The hotel itself is fairly modern looking, and check in was very efficient. The room itself was a little dated and quite tight however. We didn't have breakfast, so can't comment on that.

A room 'privilege' of 24 m 2, with a mattress into two pieces (where's the great bedding? ). In short a bad value for money compared to a normal room, the nespresso and the water bottle for £ 30 at night:-/.

My wife and I stayed at this comfortable Mercure in November 2014 on our annual city trip to London. We stayed in room 622, a high room on the front of the building tucked in the corner which was very quiet and comfortable. The room was of a decent size — certainly large by London standards — and we appreciated the ability to open the window. We liked the informal approach of the staff during check-in and check-out and generally found the staff friendly. At some times we did find the staff a little disparaging. The lobby is warm and inviting, particularly given the windy street outside, and was filled with free cookies and sweets! We found the location to be reasonable but slightly more disconnected than we were used to in London. The wonderful Tate Modern and the reconstructed Globe Theatre are a short walk from the hotel, but otherwise the area is a little out of the way. Having said that though, conveniently located just outside the hotel is however the bus stop for the RV1 service which can take you directly to Covent Garden, Waterloo Station, London Bridge Station or Tower Gateway Station, which opens up a lot of possibilities but it does increase the transit time around the city. Southwark and London Bridge tube stations aren't too far to walk, but the weather may discourage you as the area gets very windy. In general we cannot fault the hotel, and I concur with the recent reviews of the property.

Good place but very small room with old equipment.

I had been staying within this group hotels, very clean rooms and good service. But it is better to have bigger wardrobe.

I stayed here with my two teenagers a couple of days ago and I can only sing their praises. The staff were extremely helpful, the hotel lounges were contemporary and stylish, a nice touch was bowls of fresh apples and homemade cookies to help yourselves. We had a premier room which was very comfortable, not huge but the beds were very good quality and very comfortable. The only slightly down side was the bathroom was a little dated and needed refurbishing although it was very clean and had fresh fluffy towels and dressing gowns. The breakfast was excellent, fresh coffee and tea and a host of delicious things on the buffet, couldn't fault it we will definately be back. A stones throw from the Globe and Tate Modern, Borough market amazing, London Bridge tube a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Lots of lovely restaurants, simply food and Pret next to the hotel.

I stayed here a couple of years ago and enjoyed it considering I was expecting cheap and cheerful. The room was small but very nice and the bar area suited for a nice drink before going out. I ate there once and the food was nice. The staff were friendly and was good for a cheaper weekend away with a good location.
