Good service from the housekeeping and front office. Nice breakfast. If u drive then better check out the place where u can park and how much. That’s important. It’s London my dear. Nothing is free. I still remember what he said to me.

We stayed in a small but nice room. Very good student dormitories with shared bathroom and toilets, had a little walk to get to them. There was a kitchen right outside our room and a very good buffet breakfast. Good security cards to open the doors and laundry room with card or app payment. Excellent location, walking distance to Oxford Street and train station. Staff were helpful and reception friendly. We had a short but pleasant stay.

Really enjoyed my experience staying here, its comfortable and is in a very convenient area for getting around. It was really nice having a kitchen with a fridge so I could save a little money by cooking and storing my own food. The breakfast is great, they actually have a nice selection of options especially compared to other places I've stayed at. I also enjoyed talking with the other guests. Very relaxed vibe here. Amazing value all around, this will be my spot to stay at from now on whenever I'm in London.

Nice place for students, breakfast spectacular. The Room was small but comfortable. The only bad thing are the shared bathrooms, not bad, but at a certain height of life uncomfortable.

A simple, but very nice place. The staff is friendly, the breakfast options are quite good. There is a simple shared kitchen, as well as shared toilets and showers. During my stay neither of these were crowded in any way. There are some problems with the Wi-Fi, because you need to register to use it first. The registration does not seem to work on Android machines, which is a bit of a letdown. The beds are extremely soft — if you like hard mattresses, beware.

Despite the good reviews a bit of deception as a lack of organization very important at the level of breakfast: no clean trays and very few dishes available the 3/4 of the time.

Very good value. Very good location. Basic rooms but what else do you need. Good cooked breakfast selections as well as yoghurt, fruit, toast. Shared bathrooms. Would stay again no problem.

The location is a bit away from major sightseeing spots such as the British Museum. The bed is too soft, waist bone can't stand, other guests put the toilet dirty, but breakfast is delicious, very rich, but also buffet, so breakfast added a lot of points!

Small but comfortable and high standard for the price. Ideal for students on weekend trip (as it was build and designed for students).

Excellent accommodation. Always kept clean and tidy. Heating was maintained in winter. Polite staff. Sociable tenants in the lounges, bathroom/kitchen sanitation’s are high. One thing I would change though is having 1 card to access your room and main entrance rather than having a different one for main entrance.

Basic accommodation, but for that price in such a location it's amazing value. The service was great and the breakfasts amazing.

The place is clean and quite well located. The breakfast is very good. On the other hand it is very noisy despite the signs indicating to keep quiet. But what can we ask young people who are celebrating?

Relatively cheap but clean bedrooms, kitchen and showering facilities. And very, very central. To top it all an excellent canteen breakfast and friendly, helpful staff make this a little gem for budget travellers. I would stay here again.

I arrived at this hall for what I thought would be a short break in London. Before long, I had been enrolled into the London School of Economics, and was attending lectures on various socio-political issues and ideas. I ended up living here for a whole year, and so am reasonably well placed to review it. The kitchens smell a bit, but they are cleaned daily. The common room is a nice room, but isn't used enough. The rooms are comfortable, and very suitable for 2 or so people for a few days. The area is lovely; very busy, but very central and close to major tourist destinations. The British museum is 10 minutes walk, parliament 25, the London Eye 30; and all are of course even quicker by public transport (the tube being very easily accessible from Carr-Saunders). There are lovely restaurants down Fitzroy and Charlotte Street, and a meal at any price can be found. A short walk away (10 minutes) is Soho, which can be a fun night out. I would definitely recommend Carr-Saunders as a hall and as a place to stay for a holiday. One small issue is the ongoing building-work which can be disruptive for students, but which they don't continue during the holiday season (so that they can make more money renting to those on holiday).

Nice student hotel, good assortment with breakfast, Wi-Fi works fine aswell. 24 hours open, clean toilets. :)

The location and the hygiene is great, but what surprises is the amazing breakfast, it has a good variety and quantity of choices. Highly recommend.

Rooms clean and well presented. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was continental due to renovations, however a really good, varied selection. Location excellent for exploring London. Warren street just around the corner.

Staffs are friendly and helpful. Great location to reach city center by bus or tube. Room is clean and comfortable. Shared bathroom does not affect me at all.

Fabulous location 10 mins fast walk to Leicester Square — friendly staff, basic but clean rooms, spotless hot and powerful showers and the most fabulous self-serve eat as much as you like breakfast. Oh and free Wi-Fi!

Very basic hotel, didn't get much. The price itself is very affordable and I would give the hotel 3 stars for it's standard, however, the breakfast buffet is literally the Best i've ever had, so therefor I add a star.

Spent several nights during major holidays friendly welcome, the room and shower clean and nice. Breakfast very hearty and I recommend it if you don't know or sleep on London for a short stay.

The hall itself is very old and not in great condition but has everything you need and a great common room with table tennis, snooker, table football, darts, PS4's etc. Best thing is that it is catered and easy to find after a mad night out cos it's next to the BT tower.

We enjoyed our stay in Carr Saunders Hall, staff were friendly and welcoming — no ensuite, only a basin, but the shower/toilet block was really clean, quiet and close by our room. Just don't forget a robe if you need a comfort stop during the night! Breakfast was plentiful and varied. We walked everywhere too, no need for the Tube.

Very friendly and warm welcome, the rooms are big enough and clean (no spiders. —), showers and toilets are also very clean. The breakfast was a perfect start in the morning with a wonderful view.

Very comfortable bed and basic but clean room. Breakfast was exceptional and there was a lot of options for all tastes. Location was great, short walk from Warren St station. Would be happy to make a return visit.

Spent six weeks in 2014 Summer. Very close to transportation and shopping streets. The room is not big but very cozy.

Standard room was basic as expected and included breakfast, so was a very reasonable price for London! Definitely will stay again for a cheap night out, especially if you're just looking for a clean bed to sleep in.

I would definitely come back! Clean, tidy, modern, friendly, easily accessible on foot or by metro. They do not offer room with ensuite but the shared bathroom is excellent. The size of the room is small but very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent! All at a great price.

Staff was friendly and explained everything from the first moment, also to locate nearby stores. Employees there are 24 which can be check out as soon as you like. It seems a fairly old students residence, it needs reform. Inside the room there is a washbasin and 2 flexible large chandeliers. The rooms make them daily.

Classic student accommodation. Good location.
