I stayed here in May 2011, and loved it! It's within walking distance of the Marble Arch station. I stayed a few nights, and I loved the size of the room… People seem to forget that it's a converted Victorian townhouse — you're not going to get a Hilton suite! There was enough room for my bathroom, a small walkway alongside the bathroom, and the bed and a small wardrobe. It was downright snug, and I LOVED IT. Looking out the window, there were a couple of armed police on the opposite corner… turns out Tony Blair lives in one of the adjacent townhouses so there's a 24/7 guard out there. Definitely felt safe walking to/from the hotel regardless of the hour! My room was clean and my luggage was safe. I've known people on various trips Ive been on to have things stolen from their rooms while out touring, so I was pleased to find a hotel where no one seemed to touch my stuff. The plumbing in the bathroom worked fine. People complain about carting luggage up the stairs (no lift) and not fitting it in their rooms… I was traveling for 2 weeks and my ONE suitcase fit fine… perhaps the issue isn't the room, but more the overpacking? Just sayin'… My only complaint matches that of the reviewer before me who said there's nowhere to stash your bags when the room isn't ready… Most international flights arrive early in the morning, and since check in isn't until later, I was forced to leave my belongings in the corridor.
