We had vegan afternoon tea and the food was really good. They even had vegan cream, macaroons and vegan honey. They do not serve alcohol but the drinks were very good. The tea selection could be a bit bigger but the teas I had were nice. It didn’t have the je ne ce quoi of high tea at traditional / famous hotels. But the experience was lovely and the best vegan food I’ve had at a high tea in London so far. It was also the least expensive high tea I’ve had since we didn’t drink overpriced champagne and cocktails with it. I’ll be back.

Very good starting position in London. Hyde Park and a metro station are just a few minutes away and the hotel is very well maintained. The room was nicely furnished and the bathroom I liked very much.

Great option for early vegan breakfast. Just had the mushroom & bean porridge and it was delicious. Coffee could be better, hence the 4 stars. They are open from 6.30 so great for early morning travels from Paddington!

Rooms not as advertised. I booked a junior suite; if that is what I got, I dread to think what a standard room would look like. All of the photos of the junior suites on the website show a four poster bed in a spacious room, which certainly is not what I ended up with. Room was drab, tiny and the furniture coverings were cheap and tired in their appearance (and there was no four poster bed). When I complained to the reception, they advised that the room does not have to look like it does in the photos and that they did not have any available rooms like I had seen when I booked. Since it was too late to cancel the booking, I stayed and received a similar level of indifference when I complained by email afterwards. Exact quote: “I am sorry that you didn’t feel that the room to be a suite, however we do have different configurations to the suites in terms of size… ” It was not that I felt that my room was not a suite, it was that the room most certainly was not up to the standard shown in the photographs and did not have anything like the appearance of a suite. I’m sure passive aggressive emails/reception staff works well for them sometimes but I will never book here again and would advise anyone reading not to, unless you are prepared to get a room that looks nothing like those on the website.

My dearest friend booked Cafe Forty One (located at the hotel) which offers purely vegan food and drinks. I am vegetarian so it was a lovely gesture. It was a very warm day so to be able to sit outside in the lovely shaded setting was welcomed. The restaurant does not serve alcohol which made a change so they offer fantastic 'mock tails. ' We started with a strawberry daiquiri. Very refreshing! Food is competently cooked with a strong emphasis on French Patisserie. (it is hard to imagine the food is free from animal products especially the pastry used in the chocolate and praline millefeuille, which was crisp and flaky. Not to mention the portion was huge! ). Mains are filling too. The only let down was the soggy pastry in my friend's pie she had as a main course but the filling was delicious. Service was a little on the slow side but as we were not in a hurry it didn't matter at all. The restaurant has at the time of writing only been open a week or so. Given the setting, the fact the food is animal cruelty free, and the prices very reasonable it is a great way to spend a couple of hours in central London. I will certainly go back.

Everything was perfect! 4 star hotel that is definitely suitable very clean, air conditioned, a large room, Kitchenette, large bathroom and garden terrace, A minute walk from the 2 metro stations, shops, cafes and restaurants. A minute's walk from two metro stations: Basewater and Qweensway and very close to Kensington Park and Hyde Park. Excellent service warm and courteous! The staff is courteous has excellent service awareness and they responded courteously and personally to every request! We Enjoyed every moment and warmly recommended!

We attended the hotel's restaurant for a vegan high tea. The food was wonderful and had a lot of variety. The staff were very attentive and we were really helpful with everything. We had a great time!

Lovely place to stay. Very well placed with all amenities close by within easy walking distance.

Went to the vegan tea. It was amazing. The savory sandwiches were delicious, and the coconut whipped "cream" is not to be missed. Highly recommended.

Very nice boutique hotel with a lot of character. Breakfast could be better and a room with more than a tiny little window would have been nicer. However, I would stay here again.

Overall a good experience, it's a beautiful place in a beautiful location, restaurant staff could be a bit more attentative but it wouldn't necessarily put me off staying again.

The whole street on both sides of the road is a hotel, a bit hard to find. The corridor aisle is very narrow. The room was quite large. Very close to the metro station Bayswater.

Very disappointed. Went here for vegan afternoon tea, as special treat with my vegan son, not impressed. Staff were friendly and the teas were interesting, the fresh strawberries and coconut cream were nice, but the food was less than fresh and very bland. The scones were very hard, over heated in microwave I suspect, not freshly made as advertised. They were replaced when complained. Cakes were dry, sandwiches lacked flavour and bread just standard sliced brown. The room decor was just as uninspiring.

The room I used had quite a good design and interior, which is a good touch. There were a floor heating in the bathroom, which I like. — not much of a security, as almost anyone can enter the room floors from the street. — A good location, for travel, as a moments away from the tube station in Bayswater.

Great location, quiet but just around the corner lots of hustle and bustle and subway station Bayswater. Breakfast service very good.

The hotel is conveniently located close to Hyde Park. On the other hand, the makeover seems to date a little and accuses the number of passages. Our room was tiny (London standard) but especially in a poor or even deplorable state on some points.
The lack of double glazing was also felt in this fairly busy street and added to the incessant noise of our card/key cutter that jumped every 5 minutes. A sleepless night…

This is a nice 4 star hotel which is very close to the Hyde Park and the Bayswater Metro station. The rooms are modern but we see the wear of the furniture. A restoration of the rooms is to be done. The service and the staff are welcoming.

TL;DR: unprofessional, uncaring about their guests, and a couple of exceptionally rude employees. Also, slow Wi-Fi. — — On arriving at La Suite West on a Friday on a business trip, I was told that the credit card payment for my room had been declined TWO days ago and I would consequently now have to fork up 1000 pounds. On asking why I or my company was not informed about the declined payment, they argued that actually it was my responsibility to check the credit card statement to make sure the payment had gone through. On various occasions I was told something different by the staff — initially I was told that the credit card payment had been declined Friday (day of arrival) and thus they did not have time to inform me / my company. Then, 5 MINUTES LATER I was told that ACTUALLY, it had been declined yesterday. Then they checked again and admitted that they had actually tried charging two days ago and had failed and had done absolutely nothing about it. I was told at this point that they were sorry and I would be eligible for an upgrade / free breakfast. However, on asking about this again the next day, they claimed this was impossible and reiterated that it was actually also my fault and thus they could not give me a 4 pound continental breakfast for free. The whole ordeal of staying at this hotel has been incredibly stressful for me and I shall make it a point of telling friends and family to stay away. Oh, and the Wi-Fi sucks. I had extremely slow speed.

I tried to post a full and descriptive review but Google limited me on characters. Trip Advisor let me post the full review so check there if interested. In a nutshell: I was relocated here at the last minute. It's not a bad hotel at all but it's easy to get lost inside due to bad signage. The location is good, very near a bunch of pubs and restaurants and a couple of tube stations. The rooms are well fitted but getting long in the tooth. Some great features but some issues here and there (more on trip advisor). The service is good. The food (I only had breakfast) is better than average but not much better. I had to be moved room because of bad smells but it was done very professionally. The clock alarm went off at midnight which was a pain. I could hear toilets and showers in other rooms, but the bed was very comfy. I'm annoyed I couldn't post my whole review so can't be bothered to say any more. Thanks for reading!

The hotel makes a good impression at first sight, but it is already very accustomed. Unfortunately we had a Chinese family as neighbors and they were so noisy until 1 o'clock in the morning that we couldn't sleep. Staff is very friendly and helpful. No smoking rooms. Our room was very small and cramped. Quiet area. Shopping opportunities just around the corner!

Very nice hotel, very polite and helpful staff, the room/suite was a complementary upgrade and it was great! Modern room with hidden tv, marble bathroom, a small drinks area with tea & coffee, fridge with water, nice size wardrobe (could do with a couple more hangers), slippers, robes and a decent seating area. Would highly recommend this hotel. Situated a very short walk from north west Hyde Park and Queensway station on the Central (underground) line. Breakfast was nice all freshly cooked. Even the lady who cleaned our room always made a point to smile and say hello. Even a few quirky coffee shops near by to grab an on the go while heading off for the day. Will definitely stay again.

Nice hotel within 1 minute of Hyde Park. Friendly staff, chic looking place. No bar (I think it's owned by a Middle Eastern company which may explain this). Not an issue for us as we don't tend to frequent hotel bars anyway. On a room size point. The rooms vary hugely in size, so if you get a small one just see if you can change to another one.

We tested this hotel on the occasion of three days spent in London.
The location of this one is top: very close to Metro stations, Hyde Park, Nothing Hill…
However, the reception is very cold or even absent! We got room number 7 either in the basement. The room is relatively comfortable, the bathroom pretty although very small. However, it offers no extra comfort: empty mini bar, no hair dryer or extra service.
The room was very noisy and as a bonus we had a water damage in the bathroom without any proposal for compensation…
We hold the neighborhood that we really enjoyed but if it was to redo, we would try another nearby hotel.

Afternoon tea was a bit of a let down. There were only two other tables having afternoon tea and the service wasn’t great. The employees were nice but not very attentive. I really didn’t like how everything was brought out on one plate, I kept getting icing sugar on my sandwiches! The sandwiches were nice but I wish they were tradition finger style with more selection. The scones were good but not enough strawberry’s. The cakes were so dry that no one at our table ate them, it was such a shame. It’s always exciting when a company caters for vegans and at such a reasonable price, I just wished the cakes were edible and there were more sandwiches on a separate plate.

Vegan afternoon tea. It's ok. Service was slow but good although lots of unfinished and uncleaned tables around. I liked the waiters but I think it's badly managed overall. Food was also ok. Three sandwiches and three cakes with scones. The coconut cream was very nice with fresh strawberries. If you ask for jam, you will also get that. You can also take away your left overs. Tea selection is also good. P. S it was really a spare room with tables and chairs, with only salt and pepper shakers on each table and some Christmas decorations. Excellent location for tourists. I kindly thank my friend for taking me there.

I've been there for a vegan afternoon tea 5 times. I have to say that I'm not particularly happy with the changes. Once they were bringing 3 separate dishes, now they bring them all at the same time. Once you started with a delicious course of scones (with coconut sauce and fresh strawberries) which now became a chocolate variation of it (I prefer the old version). The second dish was a selection of 5 different sandwiches which now are only 3 and not as nice as before. The third was a selection of small desserts and cakes which are now less in quantity but better in quality (I definitely prefer them now). The teas and coffees are always great. I still recommend to try and I'd go again myself but I hope they'd go back to the way it was before.

The location is very close to the underground train, easy access. The hotel is very nice and the staff is very accommodating. If you like or are a vegan, they have amazing options for you.

Conveniently located close to 2 metro stations and 2 steps from Kensington Park. Nice and comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Nice and roomy rooms, bed is nice and two kind of pillows are provided, nice sofa to relax on, small fridge and coffee maker available. Two bottles of 50cl still water every day is a nice extra. Not for the minor issues: even in summer it was a bit frisk in the room, probably due to single layer glass windows, something to consider in winter… Cleaning was not the best I've seen, it was not dirty or so but it could be better (for example a dead fly on the window sill was there for the last 2 days) Continental breakfast was a bare minimum, this is not the breakfast we get on the continent in a normal hotel.

Top location, only a few minutes to two subway stations. The hotel is maintained around.

Nice hotel. Clean, comfortable beds, very close to Bayswater underground station. Staff was friendly and helpful. Small rooms (by US standards) but had all we needed and great bathroom. We had a very nice stay.

Overall the rooms were well decorated and were large enough, although a bit on the small side. The best part of the hotel by far is the location. Walking distance to Notting Hill area and lots of shops, a block away from 2 different metro lines, and a quick stroll across Kensington Gardens to Kensington. The hotel restaurant was "Raw" a vegan, raw restaurant… not my cup of tea, but if you're into that sort of thing it looked nice. The hotel staff was generally nice, but a few unhappy seeming fellows later on in the night shifts. Quick note about the "amenities" section, it does have a small gym with a treadmill, bike, and elliptical.

The staff at the hotel are very nice and accomodating. Their outdoor garden/restaurant seating area is also very pleasant when the weather is nice out. The hotel itself is not a very inviting environment. Everything in the hotel seem to be dimly lit. The hall ways are very dark, the room isn't very well lit unless you get full windows. The blinds are not very easy to operate. The carpet in the room had stains. Water gets everywhere when taking a shower. The water in the hotel is hard, so one gets slimy whenever washing. It is conveniently located to a couple of underground stations and lots of ethnic food joins around (didn't try any). I probably won't be coming back to this hotel when I return to London.

Took a friend for an afternoon vegan tea, but was very dissapointed with the quality of the cakes and the amount of sugar in them! The name "raw" seems to be misused in this case to lure people in. Wouldn't recommend at all! It's better to go to Namma /Wildfoodcafe /ethos where the quality of food is more satisfying and the standards are higher.

Room was lovely, and the service excellent. The vegetarian breakfast was great. I would highly recommend.

Then returned to London from Paris in the last two days, we check in at this hotel, very unique but the room was very small, without considering fully open luggage. Hotel near Metro and supermarkets are to his advantage. Location not special, just give it a 3.

The hotel is in a good location, close to Kensington Palace and the surrounding park. Just a short walk to the subway station. There is a place to eat more at the door. The staff were very helpful.

Fabulous vegan tea. Delicious finger sandwiches, scones and cakes. Plentiful tea. Very attentive service.

Stayed 2 weeks (! ) here with family while finding an apartment in London. Location is excellent as it's only few minutes from Bayswater, Queensway stations and Hyde park. There are lots of restaurants and souvenir shops around. You can find orient supermarket, coin laundry, fruits shops… within 5 minute walking as well. Room and service is good but the fire-alarm system is somehow unreliable. It gave us 2 false alarms during 2 weeks of time. Very nice staff. They even gave us advice on which areas are good to find an apartment.

Shame that I couldn't give it more… Went here for a birthday meal. My fiancée and I are vegan but many of the guests were not, however, the menu we were emailed had many interesting and appealing options for the other guests. When we arrived on the night though, we were told that they'd changed the menu the day before and, instead of handmade vegan burgers and sweet potato fries and all sorts of delicious sounding dishes, there was a list of about five salads, along with some starters and dessert. Big disappointment and not what we were looking forward to. Food was OK but definitely not worth the massive prices — London or not, they weren't justified. Drinks were nice but, at £6-£10 per glass, were hard to enjoy. Staff were nice and the place looked very nice and well presented. Just a shame about everything else… Will have to make sure my non-vegan friends have a more enjoyable second experience of vegan food. Won't be going back, unfortunately.
