A pleasant modern hotel in the heart of the city. Stayed many times during the year, almost every time got an upgraded room.

If you do not fancy middle east food then stay away! Hotel is not kept well. Feel like old place. Good location. Reception and concierge try to do their best.

The photos of this hotel are extremely deceiving. There are two wings to the hotel, one wing is older than the other. The first room that was given to us was EXTREMELY old. The carpets in the hallway are super dirty, and smells bad. The bathrooms are cramped, there is discoloration everywhere, and the rooms are very dusty. We asked to be given a new room and the receptionist was nice enough to grant us a new room (the only reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1). The new room was nicer, the bathroom and room was not as bad as the first one, yet still old in general. The lobby was very deceiving — the lobby was super nice and modern and is not representative of the rest of the hotel building. That being said, this hotel is generally cheaper than the other hotels I have looked into — so you definitely get what you pay for.

Located in a Stragegico place in London to move in tranquility. Near the Metro stop allows you to move using the network comfortably.
The hotel offers many amenities and is very nice internally.

Shameful aside from an international hotel chain! At check-in only English! No, I demand Italian… but Spanish… We talk about the second or third most spoken language in the world.

Good size beds and really comfy too and room size was also adequate for 4 adults sharing 2 queen size double beds. Rooms were clean and provided an iron and hairdryer and there was also a small fridge which we could use. The bathroom was modern and clean and provided the essentials. The breakfast at this hotel is fantastic and caters for everyone and there is so much choice. It has to be the best buffet breakfast in London! All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The Sky Bar has a great view of London, especially at night time so make sure you pay a visit. We didn't manage to use the swimming pool but it looked fine. The hotel is only a 10 walk to Regent Street and there are plenty of bars and café nearby. The is a Marks & Spencer food hall directly across the road which has everything you need.

This is an absolutely average hotel. I've never seen the Hilton brand being used so shabbily. Their breakfast is good. The location is all right. I wouldn't say it's the best. The rooms… Are just terrible. They are old and rickety and it feels like a motel. You'll probably get a larger room at a motel to be honest. It's small and claustrophobic. I'll be surprised if you can fit 2 large suitcases into a double room. I've come here on a conference so it's convenient for me but I would never book this hotel at it's price and quality.

Fantastic hotel. Had a great stay. Highly recommend upgrading to a suite, great views over London. Breakfast is always a must at the Hilton and despite there being thousands of people eating everything was well stocked and cleared quickly. Will stay again.

Hotel Factory. Bedding of the family rooms of the West Wing very uncomfortable, to change. Courteous staff but sense of customer service very random and just courteous. Breakfast Buffet Small pool: We were denied entry with 2 children for lack of space. Good location with Egware station at 2 steps.

Caro £200 per night and with rooms of the years 80, the bathroom door the typical white cardboard, bath also of the same period with plastic curtain in the shower, two tiny canisters of shampoo. Carpeting throughout the room stinking of tobacco, tele with analogue channels (yes, yes of those of 20 years ago). The air conditioner all night making noise. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is clear that as it is so big there are rooms that have forgotten.

Stayed two nights for work. King bedroom was large with plenty of space to relax and a large comfy bed. Used the swimming pool whilst I visited and, although small, it was clean and well managed. Breakfast was delicious — huge selection of pastries, fruit and hot food, certainly worth the money, especially if you book it with the room or at check in. We ate in the burger/ribs style restaurant one evening and was pleasantly surprised by the food.

It is in a very good area and well communicated and the rooms are great.

The Metropole is the hotel for business stays in London If you are aiming at the Paddington Basin complex. Its location is perfect within walking distance to the restaurants and the business complex. Recently renovated, the rooms on the 16th floor of the tower are highly recommended. The pizza Fiamma at the restaurant bearing the same name (on the ground floor of the same hotel) is to be tried probably.

It is a hotel where there are evidently various levels of luxury inside, however from a Hilton I would still have expected more… The double rooms we stayed in and my girlfriends are spacious but they have sinned in some details which frankly I would never Thought. For example, the soaps made available were sufficient for one person, they did not provide the headset to avoid wetting the hair during the shower, nor did they provide tooth brush that in other hotels of lesser level were giving. Also the breakfast was not as abundant as you would expect and frankly I thought I could do the classic English breakfast, with sausages and scrambled eggs what they did not give, on the other hand they provided the egg to the boiled that I personally do not like… In the end when we had to leave the hotel to take the first direct train to Stansted outside the hotel there were no taxis and despite them they immediately tried to call them, we solved the problem by catching a taxi in the street as it passed… I have to say That we were afraid to miss the plane. Ultimately I can say that Hilton is not necessarily a 100% guarantee of an optimum experience.

One of the busiest business hotels and yet well managed. For the location rates are reasonable. Staff is courteous and supporting even when it comes to extending stay and upgrades. Executive lounge is small but just about enough. The elevators takes too long and for a busy London life it is severely limiting. One of the elevator in East tower gets stuck. Long queue during breakfast is usual but staff is quick to clear it up.

Very nice lobby and surprisingly good cocktails for a hotel bar. Top floor restaurant is poor. Desperately in need of doing something better with the space, view is great but wasted by the ambience and furnishing. Staff need better training in restaurant!

Rooms had come a little in the years. Reception Super (GINA)

Just arriving we had problems, the room was not done with the beds undone and unclean. Also, we were given a very old room and with two beds (instead of a marriage as ordered). At first we were not wanted to change the room but in the end, after complaints, we were given a room on another floor completely refurbished and nothing to do with the first one.
Another day they blocked the room without notice because they got confused and thought we hadn't paid for the dinner the day before. The downside is that we blocked the entrance with all of our stuff inside and it took over an hour to settle the issue.
Very bad attention on the part of the employees.

The hotel is in a great location with pubs and convenience store restaurants around, plus the area is well equipped with bus and Metro stops. The rooms are clean and rearranged every day, the elevators are not enough and you spend so much too much time to get a free and often people are piled up to the improbable aggravating the wait. Unfortunately although the hotel is for families the children have little or nothing to do as there is not even a small area organized for them but there is no space. It's okay to pay 45 pounds to be able to keep the room late for people, families who have to fly in the evening but I find a mockery that they decide who or not to take advantage of this service and believe me there is nothing in the availability of the rooms, in my case of free rooms had and even many for these reasons my personal assessment is three and a half.

We were given an old room, painful, very poorly conserved and with a very unpleasant smell.
We complained and were moved to an equal but reformed and higher (prior payment of 15 pounds per night) the friendly and professional staff!

I think to be a Hilton, they should not give rooms without a minimum of comfort in the bathroom don't expect much, no comb, toothbrush, just soap, shampoo and moisturizing cream Mini bar empty, if you want something you need to ask for room service.

Very large hotel with usual professional staff. Great SkyBar with views over London. Good location. Subway station Edgeware Station right next to the hotel. Breakfast is plentiful.

Excellent hotel when we got there room was not ready, however we had an appointment to go to. When we got back room still not ready they then provided free drinks and then upgraded room. Boom!

Clean big room, with A/C, fridge, flat screen TV, bathroom with bathtub, large desk, water boiler with coffee and tea. Quiet and comfortable. Large breakfast buffet with wide range of foods. (British, Scandinavian, Halal, vegetarian). Staff is helpful and professional. Several dining places in this large hotel.

The drain in the vase is clogged, the windows are so dirty that it is not clear twilight or day, a bed in the old stains, a carpet in terrible stains. There are no napkins in the restaurant, although tasty. In general, an old hotel where the dirt was noticed under the carpets…

My money was stolen while staying at Hilton London Metropole, Room I checked into Hilton London Metropole on March 4th. My mom brought $4, 600 and my aunt gave $500 to my mom. So I had two separate envelopes at first. However, since one of the envelopes got wet, I put the money together in one envelope which I received from hotel’s concierge. In total, I put $5, 100 in the safe. We put the money in the safe on March 8th. Before putting the money away, we counted the money twice and made sure the amount was $5, 100. However, at 1am on March 10th, as soon as I took out the envelope from the safe and counted the money again to pack my back, we noticed $1, 100 was stolen from the envelope and only $4, 000 was in the envelope. We reported the incident to the hotel on the morning of March 10th. When we reported it to the hotel's security, the leader of the security department was so dismissive. She told us that the safe was 100% safe, and it must have been our fault. However, there are a lot of videos that hotel’s employees can open the safe which means it’s not 100% safe. She even said that it must be my fault because there is no evidence that someone broke into the safe. She was obviously trying to find ways to justify that the missing money was our fault. She kept interrupting me and repeating that I must have misplaced the money because the safe is 100% safe and there is no proof. I do not recommend this hotel at all. 런던 힐튼 메트로폴에서 숙박도중 객실 금고에 있던 돈을 도둑 맞았습니다.

Didn't stay but paid and had an issue which was resolved extremely well. My guest client spoke very highly of the room, but in terms of billing issues, this Hotel and I imagine the Hilton Group have extremely efficient and well managed incident resolution. My query received a reply within 12 hours and the whole incident was resolved within 48 hours. This says a lot about the brand and the staff behind the scenes. Should also mention that my client was given complimentary breakfast and a room upgrade.

It's a Hilton, so you should know what to expect. Comfortable rooms that are fairly bright (which seems to be unusual these days). Breakfast can get very busy at peak times, so you may have to wait a minute or two to be seated, and they can sometimes run out of items.

A truly majestic hotel, frequented by tourists from all over the world. Well connected with all London public transport. The 2 metro stops are just a few tens of meters away as well as the bus stops that take you to all areas of London. I recommend taking breakfast directly to the hotel at half price if purchased at check in. International breakfast buffet with various types of food for any kind of need. The rooms are very clean and the Italian staff present both in the restaurant and at the reception spectacular the bar is restaurant of the 23rd floor overlooking all of London.

Love this place. Such a beautiful Hotel! We stayed here for a company trip/Fashion Tour and this was the perfect spot. The location was perfect! Because the metro was just minutes away this knocked down our travel expenses a lot. Love that there were shops and restaurants near as well. I believe our most favorite part of staying here was the great service we received from every individual, AND especially the perfect Breakfast! It definitely made everyone look forward to waking up the next day (haha). We met Tariq at breakfast and he was just absolutely kind. He literally gave us a first class experience as we stayed there for 5 days. Awesome place, awesome staff, and AWESOME BREAKFAST! We will definitely stay here again when we return. ❤️

Correct but Vieillo. At the foot of the Metro Edgware Road… convenient enough for the service. A bar on the 23rd floor with a nice view at night.

The rooms are very clean. They do not meet the standard that is expected from a Hilton hotel. Not necessarily worth the price. The connection to the public transport is very good! The bar offers a lot of choices (especially beer) and leaves nothing to be desired.

Disappointed for the Hilton, mold visible to the ceiling of the bathroom. Defective shower Pigne and water pressure not strong enough.

Heating is adjustable but never reaches the desired temperature. A cold air stream at the windows, perhaps from the ground ventilation.
Otherwise cleanliness is good.
The bedding is correct except that it misses the sheets, savings or typically English (? )
Wall plugs present including 1 220v plug in bathroom and 1 in the 4-seater room.

Much better then I expected. Room and bathroom looked refurbished. Large room. Very good value for the price. Hotel has an ATM and a small shop which sells convenience food to take out.

Very chic hotel, not too poorly placed in the center of London and right next to a very well served metro station. We were very well received during our stay, the room was very clean.
The hotel is equipped with a superb swimming pool and a small gym, with a very copious breakfast in the morning. Value for money it is for me the most interesting in London, and yet I have made hotels. Very convenient baggage Service.
I highly recommend this ideal hotel if you are alone, at two see even with family or friends.

It's been a pleasure staying at the Hilton London Metropole.

The hotel is located a 10-15 min walk away from Oxford Street, which is convenient. The hotel is big, having three wings, we stayed in the Central Wing. The hotel outside and the lobby looks really nice and has a modern vibe. Firstly, we checked in to a smoking room on the 23rd floor, since I am a casual smoker, but the entire floor was smelling awfully bad. The room was even worse, it had a terrible stench, as soon as we got in there, we went down to the reception and asked to be moved to a non-smoking room. The next room was on the 10th floor. Thankfully, it didn’t smell bad and it was freshly cleaned. The room looked like it was a nursing home, outdated, old furniture and old appliances. The fridge probably has been there since the 80s. It didn’t matter that much though, but when you visit a Hilton you expect everything to be up to date and spot on. The Sky bar or whatever the name on the 23rd floor, reminded me of a strip club, minus the dancers. You get a nice view though. The staff is polite and helpful, but none was speaking English properly; I was having a hard time understand what they were saying. I will stay again but they need to update or maybe upgrade the rooms.

Location — pretty good and opposite Edgware Rd. Tube station. Food good but small portions. Rooms are fine but a little tired. Facilities very good and well organised. Would I stay again… yes.

Our stay at this Hilton was very pleasant. It got off to a bad start where the room we were given was quite dreary and had various signs of wear and tear so we spoke to customer services who were very happy to provide us with a better room. We visited the bar on the top floor for a quiet drink and were amazed at the views of London, it's definitely a highlight of the hotel. Customer services were also very accommodating for our request of a late check-out as well. The hotel is right next to Edgware road station and has great links into central London. To summarize, good hotel, great staff, amazing views.

The rooms are not very clean, it's cold, the food is average. Staff responsive.

Very nice executive room (545). Clean and in good order. Slightly dated bathroom and climate control. No mould or discoloured silicone anywhere. Minor limescale on shower temperature control. Exterior windows didn't seal properly so let in the outside noise. Executive lounge had a good selection of food and drink. Lovely service from front desk and lounge team. Lounge furnishings slightly dated. Leisure centre is good — gym, swimming pool, steam room, sauna.

+ "normal" socket — slightly expensive + pool and steam room + Fitness area + location is quiet & practical + breakfast buffet We spent three nights at the hotel. The rooms were OK, we had a great view and they didn't get any of the street noise (except once in a while an ambulance).
The breakfast buffet is great, besides beans and sausages there were other hearty as well as sweet things.
There is a plus for the pool with the steam cabin and the fitness area. These are also open in the evening and there is always an employee there.
Where there were really problems was with the elevators. We had to wait about 20 minutes after breakfast to get up to our room and another quarter of an hour to get back down because there are only three elevators and they were almost always full. Next time we just took our things for breakfast.
The location is good, right on Edgware Road station, bus lines have kept about 50 m from the hotel and the subway station Paddington was also just around the corner. If you walk down the streets a little further down, you will also find a Waitrose, otherwise there are, unfortunately, besides call shops, shisha bars and casinos rather less to discover.
But if you are looking for a luxurious room or hotel, you will be disappointed.

Good hotel in really good location. Unfortunately the 4* standard was not to the level. Good clean place, staff helpful n professional but maintenance was poor. Not all lifts worked and that caused a rush to get in busy packed lifts all the time. Shower holder in room was nearly falling off otherwise a good hotel.

Comfortable rooms, excellent catering services, very polite efficient staff. This hotel is perfectly located for visitors wanting to visit the West End shops. Hyde Park is a short bus ride away. Plenty of eating places in nearby Edgware Road. My grandchildren loved it.

Generally, the stay there was okay. The rooms were a bit dated but clean. I can't say anything about food because we didn't come to dinner there. It took a long time with the 2 working elevators until you were in the beat to go to the 14th floor. The people on the 20th floor have done me some harm. Otherwise everything was good.

It's a nice hotel. The rooms are clean. The service is unobtrusive. Despite the fact that the room was paid earlier, mistakenly written off again the full cost of accommodation, for 4 days it is $650. The money was returned and apologized, but it took time.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They strive to understand you and serve you in our language.

This place is a dump. Very outdated rooms. Plumbing doesn't work right. Cold showers and sink water. Service is good from staff. But, my God this place needs a refurb. It's like stepping into 1970 with the bathroom fixtures and the decor overall. The lobby seems much more modern though. I'm Hilton Gold status, and this was the least satisfying Hilton I've stayed at.

It's a gigantic hotel. The reception and the ground floor are modern but we stayed in the West Wing and the rooms, although they were very nice maybe they are a bit dated. They have family rooms, at least up to 5 people. Breakfast is buffet style and is very good. If you have to print your travel tickets have a 24h computer and printer available and it is in very good area.

Having gone for work, for a short time, I can say is a great structure kept impeccable. Staff very friendly.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can see them on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… The place is very big, but also very busy. The lobby area and bar next to it are beautiful, but anything past that I very dated. If you stay in South tower be prepared for very old undated for rooms. We changed to west tower and got what they said was updated room. However, this update must have taken place about 10 years ago. Mattress is spring mattress and you feel every one of them. Towels are nice and big. A. C. Is quiet. The updated rooms was nicer and better kept. Staff is very nice and polite. Top floor restaurant has great views but mediocre food and poor service. Breakfast is chaotic, extremely busy and noisy. Could definately improve food choices to be healthier. Easy to find taxi.

Great location, near Paddington Station and Edgware Road tube station but I feel the hotel lacks personality. Rooms are ok but on the small side. Some floors are renovated so I'd request for one of those when booking. I don't like the bar and coffee areas in the lobby. Feels like school cafeteria — Hilton could have done that better. I've always felt that staff service was great. Very friendly and helpful. Can't say anything about the restaurant — This hotel is so central and there are plenty of restaurants in the nearby area.

Sadly not the best Hilton experience I’ve had. Room was shabby and traffic & other noise bad. Staff great though especially Andrei on reception.

Congress Hotel. It's huge but it has good service. Breakfast is varied, with halal products. Large room with coffee and tea available.

Good but not great… great breakfast but average rooms not responding to the price level… obvious you also pay for the location.

Elegance in the middle of London. Bit pricey but you what you pay for. Located in the most popular street in London full of travellers especially from the gulf states. You get the odd chance of seeing prestigious cars floating up and down the road.

Gigantic Multipurpose hotel (holiday/business) with excellent location.

Underperforming. Of course this is an international hotel chain and no decantations, but for around €300 you can expect some more in central London. There are corners abgescheuert, doors decrepit, baths minimal about motel level and the staff tends to arrogance. The location is convenient (close to Paddington station and thus to the airport), but really spectacular sights are also not in the Area. Competence Center ok, but could be anywhere in the WORLD. Disappointed Me.

Having stayed at this hotel on my trip to London, I found the staff very welcoming, warm and attentive.
There are several metros, shops and restaurants close to the hotel.
Nevertheless, I was disappointed with the room and the breakfast they offer (little variety of dishes and always the same thing).
I expected better seen the price and especially on the part of a Hilton hotel.

The rooms are in need of renovation the bar very nice!

Stayed here whilst working in the capital. If I had paid for the room myself I would have been disappointed. The room itself, though adequately maintained, was very tired. The furniture and appliances were very "1990s". The bathroom (and the room in general) were clean and well maintained by housekeeping (I stayed over a few nights) but I definitely wouldn't stay here again if I had the choice. On a more positive note, there are some good eateries nearby (Edgeware Road has lots of middle eastern restaurants) and the hotel lobby was really impressive — just a shame about the rest of it!

The welcoming reception is exemplary, please feedback to your staff especially Alba, on the reception desk! She was efficient, personable and friendly, what you need after a day travelling. I have stayed in some lovely hotels and will add that I will be staying in your hotel again for service and great price to stay in central London!

Away from the 23rd floor, beautiful view but local full and old rooms. Much better than the lower floors.

Hey fellow Americans! The little panel with the nob saying hot/cold is the actual thermostat. That's so cool and old-school! There's a window you can open in your room! They have us a tray of fruit on our first day! The room is small but nice and clean, and it's within walking distance of so much fun stuff.

Location was great, has parking space underneath the building. Staff were polite and helpful. The actual inside of the building was clean. Multiple elevators, massive clean toilets. Chilling area, and the hall itself that I was in on Floor 3 was amazing. Great venue for events.

Small rooms, microscopic bathroom, Spartan décor, too many road accidents and then no BIDET.

A standard hotel in London with a central location. Satisfies the basics but not much more. A special mention to Sam in security who went out of his way to help me get my jacket back that I left in the bar the previous night. He was extremely helpful and dealt with me in a courteous and professional manner.

Great setting. Top location. Bar that we met in was busy, but private, so worked really well for a quick client meeting. Would highly recommend.

Not up to usual Hilton standards. The room was old, carpeting in room completely disgusting, heavily stained, almost nauseating. Some travelers in our group had more updated rooms but still sub-par for Hilton. Very disappointed and would not recommend. There are better choices close by. Some notable positives: helpful concierge, close tube station, nice bar, coffee shop. Lobby area is beautiful unfortunately, it all goes downhill after you head up the lift to your room. ☹

The room was very very dilapidated. The pool is poorly managed (a child was eating in the water at the sight of the attendant who said nothing). The restoration is correct. In the end, the balance is negative in view of the price.

Nicely located near Paddington Station station and the A40. Function rooms are well priced and is what you would expect from a Hilton hotel. The area has many food and drink facilities that are open v late just minutes away. I have stayed there previously and the rooms especially near the top have amazing views of the area. Sky bar at the top is also nice and a must visit for overnight guests. Simple put, it is a Hilton.

First off, the hotel is old. We were supposedly in the executive (east) wing, but it felt anything like it. Amenities are old, outdated, not even the TV works. The pool is tiny and the executive lounge is average at best. The rooms are clean and that's all there is to them. Whenever I took a shower, water would leak all over the floor. Also, there is only a fixed shower head. I mean, how hard is it to put a hose and have a handheld one? The mirror also fogs up unlike more modern Hilton hotels. These might be minor details to some, they usually are to me, and perhaps I wouldn't be pointing them out had the hotel not billed me full price for room service when I was entitled and promised 50% off. I called reception before ordering and they confirmed the discount was being applied. Spoke to the manager who did nothing, only blamed us for not reading the welcome letter. As if tourists are interested in paperwork when on vacation… I will not be going to another Hilton anywhere in the world thanks to their lack of customer service.

Good location for walking distance to Hyde Park events and trains. We had a quiet room in the east wing overlooking the pool. Comfy, with bathroom that had a separate shower. Helpful staff. Buffet breakfast was busy and staff were efficient. I would use again at the right price.

Although it is slightly faded, this hotel is particularly clean. No odor in the room even if there is a rug, and no fragrance to hide. No problem to replace the defective fridge, helpful staff. Well located close to a metro station.

Super recommended if it is the first time you visit London. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A praise goes to the friendly and helpful staff.
You can find any kind of service within it, even a souvenir shop.

The Hilton is very close to the U-Bahn connection. The room is very spacious (the beds are 2 Queen size) and is very well maintained. 2 leg plug socket for power charging, and pleased most of the German. It was very clean and the friendliness and the helpfulness bribe. Lounge, very relaxed and Wi-Fi also available. Tv has a German channel (ARD). The Restaurant was very good, the morning Breakfast was super. I will definitely come again again! 5 stars.

Really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Great rooms only thing preventing me from 5 stars is the service you are not granted with a good room at first. I have been here many times it is either the AC broken or the room is facing a building so you can not open the curtains or the heater is broken or the separate room doors are not secure. But when you go back down to the resection you get a better room. So all of that was — 1 star. Then check in timing they don't care if you had a 13 hour flight or a 7 hour train if you arrive before 3 pm you will need to wait. I tried to call and let them know ahead of time but it was no use. So for that inconvenience — 1 star. Everything else was good.

I have repeated new and fantastic stay! 10 minutes from the metro. Soundproof and comfortable rooms. I'll be back again!

Ok hotel with friendly staff but located in Edgeware which is the Arabic area in London. Layout of the hotel a bit odd with 3 towers. Lots of empty space like you find in middle eastern hotels. Nice bar and restaurant on the 23rd floor with views across London. Walking distance from Paddington station. Overall next time I will pick a different hotel.

The staff where really pleasent and helpful. Rhw bedroom was clean and comfortable. I had the best nights sleep ever in the bed. Normally I'm a sceptic about hotel beds being comfortable but this bed was extremely comfortable and pleasent.

Very clean rooms and comfortable beds, but every amenity costs extra! I was very disappointed by the fact that I couldn't even get free Wi-Fi in my room. That seems like a pretty basic expectation for hotels these days, but nope. No free continental breakfast either. Someone offered to give me a voucher to pay $20 instead of $30 for the breakfast, and I just laughed.

This hotel was absolutely extrodinary. The most convenient hotel right in the center of London. The view is spectacular and the rooms are just to die for. Best hotel stay I've ever had!

They took three hours to sort out our check in. We booked 7 night through booking and pad £1500. Didn't notice it was not superior room we upgraded into superior and they charged us £2000 with cancelation fee. They did try their best to sort it out but not efficiently at all. If you pay that much money you don't want to hang around at the front desk for 3-4 hours. I wont recommended anyone.

Tired and old looking hotel. The staff are uninterested and rude. The food is expensive and low quality. There are far better hotels for a lower price in the same area. The most annoying thing is the slow speed of the reception staff — they seem to be wholly not aware that a long queue of people has formed while in some cases just chating among themselves. There are some positive like the cleanliness of the rooms and bathroom and at least the breakfast was a good standard if a bit expensive.

The hotel location is great … When I made my Check in process it was very good and fast and the staff are very helpful. The toilet is having some issues example the hand washing sink cover is operated manually that means if the sink is full you have to insert your hand throw the Water (sh…) to open it with your own hands or close it. It's not faulty but it operate that way … I know what you would say …, my last comment when I went to the reception to extend my staying for one more day the reception staff told me to do the extend on line better for him and for me wow. But when I checked his tag name he is trainee… It's not his fault at all actually it's the hotel management part… because they shouldn't leave that trainee all alone.

It's just a little walk away from Edgware Road underground station. The staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is fantastic and it has a swimming pool and fitness centre to burn all that calories. We've been there twice and we will probably book again at this property.

Attend the awards ceremony, I stayed in this hotel for six years in a row, the hotel environment is getting better. Service is great, most of the hotel staff are very friendly. Only awards that day in eaten dinner here, you can also. Hotels also host up to 100 people, standards should not be so high, can do pretty good level. Breakfast is also very good.

Unfortunately, I cannot agree more with Asem Hamad, one of the previous reviewers. Moreover, they didn't give any room upgrade & refuse to let us use the executive lounge even though we have Gold hhonors card. No complimentary water is provided inside our room. Not a pleasant experience at all!

Got a free upgrade to a superior room in the west wing on check-in. Nice modern public areas and my room seemed to be recently refurbished. Shame that the view was of another building even on the 13th floor. Breakfast was included in my rate, buffet was a fairly good spread. Seemed Scottish themed for some reason with potato scones and haggis, but the usual favourites are all there. Wifi was also included in my rate, but is £15 a day if you're purchasing it separately. It is provided by BT, so if you have a BT Wifi or Boingo subscription it's included in that (actually may be worth purchasing a plan separately from them if you're staying a couple of days).

Rooms need a refurbishment.

Hotel location, rooms are very clean, good quality. Unfortunately, even though we asked for a triple, and has made it clear that we are living with three colleagues, but they gave us a double room. Bathroom in need of improvement, check in took a long time. If this is a private trip, then I think it should be pretty good.

Had the most phenomenal view over West London on New Years Eve from the 21st floor on my visit. Bed was comfy and had a great stay. At the time of my visit, the complementary breakfast was overwhelmed by all the visitors over New Years, but breakfast serving time was extended to make up for this. I'd have preferred if the Wi-Fi was free but regular visitors can get lower cost Wi-Fi by signing up with Hilton.

Great location and very helpful staff. The rooms are a good size and the public areas are very very spacious with various bars and places to eat. Breakfast is a little expensive and Wi-Fi access in your room is extremely expensive if it isn't included in your package… which is generally if you book through a travel site and get a better price than Hilton offers on their own site There is free Wi-Fi in the public areas though.

The London Metropole Hotel aims to be an upscale, four-star hotel providing boatloads of services, is an easy walk to a subway, but lacks room quality in what seems to be a sketchy part of the city. Most tourist locations are about 15-20 minute tube ride away and the Edgeware road station is conveniently located about 50m away from either entrance, but there are multiple little things wrong with the rooms that would make me think twice about staying here again. Upon arrival, my party and I were greeted by a desk clerk with a very thick Spanish or Italian accent that made it very difficult to understand what he was saying. After checking in we walked to our respective rooms. First my card didn't work, and the doors have the most annoying card swipe position, we said outside for about 20 minutes in what felt to me like an 80s cruise ship motif. If the hotel followed the themes of their beautiful bar/lobby, this would be a five-star hotel. The room is nice, a bit of damage here and there that could be fixed, but the bathroom is very strange. The tub is lifted about 8" off the ground which makes it a huge step to get in, then the shower head is at a fixed height/angle, and there is no curtain. Instead a glass half wall runs about a 1/3 of the length of the tub with an inch of space left at the bottom, so you have a nice pond waiting for you on the floor when you get out. Two members of my party had a worse experience.

I was only there for a few hours for a business presentation. We used one of their meeting rooms and the staff were very polite, room was clean and spotless and all amenities and whims were catered for.

Hotel by using the credit card obtained upon payment of 30 pounds of collateral independently charge, despite the full payment of the room. And then obesčaet to return the money within 2 weeks. That is, you take the pledge + payment in double size. Then bail and half pay may return. Reception staff rude and incompetent.

The service and the food were fantastic. The room was not. Lights would short out. The faucet in the tub leaked spilling out into the rest of the bathroom. The toilets ran for ten minutes after flushing. And the carpet was poorly installed. There were gaps between the where carpet and the walls met and you could see the bare floor. Again, food and service was great. The rooms need major renovations. And we stayed in one of the suites.

Big hotel in a central London location. When heading to the tube station make sure you get the right entrance as both of the local ones don't have access to all of the lines. OK continental breakfast in the executive lounge. Good gym & pool facilities.

After spending 3 days at a business conference here, the stay was pleasant and very useful for Paddington station (10 minutes walk) and the room on the 20th floor had a great view over London. Staff were friendly and attentive while the conference went very well. Hotel may be due a visual update as it looks a little tired but overall a good experience.

Besides accommodation, there are some other auxiliary services homed in the same premise, such as car rentals. I myself rented a car from the green motion rental car service located on the ground floor of this hotel. The process was quite handy and smooth.

Different from the Hilton in reading, the gym is not separated from main building. I feel the pool lacks oxygen, which is the place that make me easily drained and tired than other gyms. In total it is a good gym. Pool is filled with children always.

Hotel was not clean, staff did not care about guess. There is no bathrooms on the lobby, one has to take the elevator to use a bathroom on the first floor, so I would not recommend drinking in lobby bar. The staff in the front do not care about the guess and make us wait a long time to check us in. I had $200 dollars stolen from my room safe and security could not figure out how. I did not feel safe in the hotel. A homeless guy walked in from the street when I has eating and looked everywhere, no one stopped him or even noticed. I would not recommend this hotel if you have a choice.

First room I was put in had a really strong smell of cigarette smoke. Called the from desk on 0, waited 5 minutes for someone to pick up and was then moved to another room. No apologies, just "well it is a non-smoking room" and "that's fine". Second room was identical but smelt much more pleasant. Unfortunately everything is extremely dated. Don't let the reception fool you which looks incredible! Once you are up in the Tower, decor from the corridor to the bedroom is ancient and worn. In the bathroom I genuinely felt like I didn't want to touch anything — it was old white tile throughout with dirty grouting and a bright fluorescent light — think of the movie 'Saw'. Shower sprayed water out of everywhere but the head and no hand soap was provided… basic. The rest of the room was just ok, but my single bed was rock solid with a thin mattress. Slept ok though. Biggest gripe is the Wi-Fi — 13.99 GPB per day!? And the speed is horrific — forget Netflix. This is to probably push you towards the clumsy TV interface to pay for films. In short — avoid! Go to the Thistle at Marble Arch. Has finished the refurb and is really nice and clean! Maybe the refurb here will brighten things up but with nothing to show for it (not even 'coming soon' posters) why would I return. I work in London all week every week and stay in a hotel and I will be trying somewhere else.

I worked as a room service waiter at the Metropole, one summer back in the day. We took some pride, I remember, in telling ourselves that while the Metropole certainly wasn't luxury, it was still a high class hotel. Oh well, time passes. I had a room in the Tower, which was already a bit run down in the early 90s. On the 4th flot there isn't much of a tower feeling either. I was looking straight into a wall. The magnetic lock on the door didn't work properly, so I had to go to the reception and queue up for new key cards four times. One receptionist happily told me that the battery probably needed to be changed. If Security ever, actually, came around to change it, I cannot tell. Worst part, however, is the breakfast… You get the felling its all about logistics and cost cutting. If there is any pride in the actually food and service, it doesn't show. All in all, in London good hotels come at a high price. I didn't know I was being cheap, choosing the Metropole. Next time I'll pay the price or chose some place where there is no personal sting to the disappointment.

Not impressed. Reception and hotel staff were friendly though which is the only thing good going for this hotel. First night: room was very hot and stuffy. Wasn't able to sleep properly. 2nd day: repair man entered room without any alert. I could have been changing clothes or something. 3rd day: No hot water! I got late for a conference because of this! No free Wi-Fi. And after paying for it, it kept disconnecting even. My work was effected. There was no free drinking water even. The rooms are extremely out dated. The tap in the bathroom was broken a bit. There was no power slot near the bed. I checked out and went to another much much cheaper place (1/6th the price) in bricklane (was planned in my trip) and even this place has free and good internet. There are much better cheaper hotels in London. This hotel is just cashing in on the brand. Won't be returning.

Reception decorations are nice, hotel location is great. reception staff are unpleasant, either they don’t know how to do their job or pretending to do so to let you wait for longer for no good reason. Laundry is expensive and really pooooor!. Bath towels smells. Toilet papers are of the cheapest types. Windows cannot be opened even for small gap to get fresh air. Not a good experience in general.

Takes a long long time to check in. And, if your room is not ready, you are asked to come back. And then made to wait, wait, wait because the room is not yet ready. And if your Wi-Fi doe not work, as happened to me, you ring for assistance. You are told that no one in the reception is answering, and can you come down to talk to them. when you go down, you find a long queue. Obviously a hotel meant to keep the hotel staff busy and feel important, not to make the guests welcome.

The hotel is in a great location and easy to get to via The Underground from major National Rail stations. Friendly staff that are willing to help, and a warm swimming pool which is always a bonus. However as my first visit at a London Hilton I wasn't overly impressed. The room was stuffy with poor A/C and windows that would not open. The reception area is getting upgraded however maybe this money would of been better spent on the accommodation side of things. The bathroom was dirty with hairs knotted around the plug hole, and the bedroom windows (inside and out) were in major need of a clean. Balcony is provided however unable to access and littered with cigarette butts. Great location, but had better standard rooms at more budget hotels like Travelodge.

We stayed 4 nights in April 2013. Great service and convenient location all underground to edgware road. Splendid breakfast. Excellent welcome at reception and the staff let x tourist info than practical. Access to the room of the pc to be able to make free 12:00 am before the check-in on line, with british airways.

Concierge service helpful. Convenient location. Clean rooms, but very hot. Wifi not free in rooms. This partially reflects on hotel but we found the guests to be very rude. Cutting in long reception and luggage lines frequently.

I was at this hotel for one week, I already requested to provide smoking room to me, but at checking time, one of the reception staff told me that is not available at this moment and also they provide me my room at 16:00, Normally hotel check in was also at 15:00, that means 1 hour later than normal check in time in worldwide. I smoked in my room for 1 time and next morning they charged me 100 POUNDS without any notice or warning. After this problem, they provide me the crazy room as Deluxe room, but unfortunately their deluxe room was scandal and so dirty in bathroom and so much smaller than my normal room. For breakfast time also every time you will wait n Q for around 15 Min and specially more than this on Saturday and sunday. My suggestion is DO NOT CHOOSE this hotel in london anymore.

My parents used to stay at this hotel when they come to visit me in london. Just an advice for the future customers. I rent a car in the green motion which is situated inside the hotel. They have been stealing from me. I rent a car for 2 days and they make me paid 1800 pounds. An advice never rent from them. When you go and ask the reception they will tell you to go and rent from them but don't make this mistake. Its look like hilton is ok to support these kind of business inside their hotel. Its a shame because I will never let my parents stayed to this hilton again.

Nice hotel but was very unimpressed with the mix up with our luggage. A porter came to our room and kindly took our cases and bags to the storage room for the day so we could have a few hours in London before our train home. He took the trolley straight into the storage room and came out with a ticket for 6 items. We returned a few hours later to catch a taxi to the station and they kindly offered to load our bags into the taxi after we had collected them. It was not until we got to the train station did we realise that a rucksack with my daughters ipad in was not with us. With only a few minutes until our train my husband had to dash back, only to be told that we gave in six bags and six were collected. We very naively trusted the porter to take those bags straight into the storage room while we waited in a queue for our ticket and did not count the exact number of bags (a lesson! ) Eventually my husband got the rucksack back but we missed our train and incurred extra charges. I explained this to the head of luggage and he said, "sorry! ".

Looks awful on the outside but this hotel is actually rather nice on the inside. Pretty standard city centre Hilton, but the conference centre in here is well equipped and versatile, which makes it a very popular venue for smaller trade shows and larger business meetings. If you're visiting London and this place is in your budget, then it's an ideal hotel for being close to the city centre but not so close that you feel boxed in. Paddington train and tubes are a quick (albeit confusing) walk and the two flavours of Edgware Road station are easy as well. You might have to cross the road a baffling number of times to get to them though.

Recommend! Nice spacious room, excellent bedding (we slept like babies), no noise at night, staff are lovely (as all Londoners). Only small negative: the lack of a restaurant of standing in a beautiful facility. Arlette André.
