Fab stay! Very warm welcome, clean and comfortable room with all amenities, very impressed with the shared kitchen — super clean and tidy and filled with fresh fruit, cereals, bread, yoghurts, drinks and loads more. Great location for Olympic Stadium. Would highly recommend.

Almost difficult to find — cleverly blends into the surroundings. It is small but suitable for a short trip. The bed is comfortable but the ensuite may be small for larger (weight and height) persons. Internet is good and steady and the lodging is near many points of public transport. Amazing choice of food nearby!

Booked on behalf of a relative, they had a lovey stay. Great location for the price & they had no complaints. However, I myself who booked this hotel and dealt first hand with customer service, do have a complaint. Specifically about ‘ HUSSIAN’ A complaint I asked to raise & was refused. The ‘gentleman’/hussian who works the phone is apparently also the manager. Who knew a manager had time to be so hands on with customers! I repeatedly whilst being spoken over the top of, asked to raise the complaint & was refused. The second I asked to raise the complaint, he turned into a rude arrogant man. I eventually (over the course of 3 days) lost my temper, cursed and hung up. As I knew I wasn’t getting anywhere. Fair enough. Let it go… but it didn’t stop there. This resulted in continuous phone calls over a 1 hour period where the hotel ’manager’ kept ringing and ringing to insult me, leave pointless voicemails and still refusing to issue my complaint. So unprofessional! I’m disgusted & shocked!

A fairly decent hotel for the price you pay. Very close to Bow Road tube station. There's a kitchen area where you make your own breakfast. The rooms are basic but the hotelier is very friendly and will go out of his way to help you. Considering I only paid £46 for 1 night, I'd say you can't go wrong. I would definitely go back.

The most kind hotelier that I ever met. Our stay was really pleasant. The open kitchen was a nice addition. Our room was pretty nice, except it had a window without curtain and light could sneak in. Also the sound insulation was awful. But the kindness and helpfulness of the hotelier made up for it.

On first appearance… what a bumhole… seriously the wooden gate has to go. The outside looks like you are in beruit in the midst of crisis. The inside is a different matter. Yes the rooms are small. Yes not the greatest of b&b's but this is a b&b in a good location in london. Very reasonable with probably the nicest most relaxed and helpful owner that I have ever met. Mr Hussain I applaude you. I have never sen a b&b where you cook ur own breakfast… genius! Time to bond with other residence. Kitchen available 24-7 absolute genius. I stayed with my son for a mickey flanagon tour at 02. Beds comfortable. Bedding crisp and clean. Perfect… would definately be my first choice next time I visit the o2. Best balue for money if I r visiting London. I am a tube ride away. Chose to spend time with estranged son in nuetral territory and more than happy with choice. Once again Mr Hussain… you rock. Thank you. We will meet again. Allan.

Friendly and professional staff. Food available for breakfast, snack, light lunch and dinner. Close by public transport, well connected.

This place has upsides and downsides. In my opinion, the upsides definitely make this place worth staying at. For reference, I went for the Double room on the second floor (More space, bigger bed). Downsides: — Creaky floors — intermittent hot water — no stand to put your stuff on in the shower — cramped shower Upsides — Pretty much cheapest en-suite in London (£60 single, £70 double) — Friendly owner — Shared breakfast supplies and kitchen provided (eggs, cereal, milk etc. ) — Very easy to access Canary wharf and centre of London via direct lines to each using DLR or underground respectively — Relatively quiet — Fan in (some? ) rooms — small supermarket right next door for basics. I can't comment on how it would be for families, but for singles or couples who don't want to pay £130+ for the centre but still want good accessibility I would definitely recommend this place.

I stayed at City Lodge London recently because I was attending a show at the nearby Olympic Stadium in Stratford with a group of friends. It was listed as a 2 star but honestly 2 star pretty much means the basics and a clean facility. Which was everything we needed. The facilities available included a television which had all the free view TV and radio channels, comfortable beds and a bathroom facility that was above average. As it was mid July, the conditions were humid however we were given a fan to make the atmosphere more comfortable. There was hardly any noise outside either, which was good considering we were there late on a Friday night. However one thing that took me off guard was that once a room door was unlocked, it stayed unlocked after it gets shut, as opposed to automatic locking at most other hotels. Anyone can walk in if you don't lock the door. The hotel is close to convenience stores (a 24 hour one), a petrol station and a McDonald's as well as the luxurious area of Westfield Stratford and Olympic Park, so getting food and drink is relatively easy. One nice touch was that the person running the front desk, told everyone leaving the hotel individually, how good they were as guests. In the best possible way, it felt like we were staying at his home. If I were staying in the area again for another show in the Olympic stadium, I would happily consider staying there.

Decent place. Small room but all I really needed was a bed, really nice host.

For a simple and basic room it did the job, 20 minute walk from the Olympic stadium and 5 minute walk from Bow Road Station.

Its a little ragged around the edges but the owner more than makes up for it. The room was clean enough but could do with some tlc. The bed was comfortable. The owner is brilliant. Friendly, polite and even at 11.30, offered to make us tea if we wanted it. Breakfast is self service in a nice communal kitchen and don't be surprised if the owner offers to share dinner with you in the evening. Forgive the slightly worn bits and you. Should really enjoy your stay — we would happily return.

A fist in the stomach also for Boat People. Dirty, dilapidated furniture and inhabited by cockroaches, room on the first floor with broken glass and poor quality of sleep. Dishonest prices.

Very cheap but extremely ' ' basic ' '. Clean. Nice owner.

Convenient because it is located in Zone 2, not far from the metro line "District line" (Stop "bow Road"), at the Stop "Bow Church" and a few meters from the bus stop "London bow" from which passes the "National Express" direct to the airport of Stansted. I stayed with my girlfriend in a double attic (room 10) and I can say that the room was decent and the tablecloths changed daily, sure though not from €70 a night. The rest of the hotel pitiful, both inside and out. Several times we were invited to have breakfast in the kitchen on the ground floor and we never made it because of the excessive dirt conditions in which it was.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, I was attending a course right across the street and the location was impeccable! Right by the DLR station and tube station, couldn't ask for anything better. Meals to order were delicious and breakfast was good as we are allowed to cook our eggs and omelettes in the kitchen and had an ample selection of fruit and cereals. Crisps and biscuits were also up for grabs! Teas, coffees and hot chocolates available throughout the day in the kitchen. Victoria park was a mile away so enjoyed several morning runs before starting the day of intense work… Will definitely be staying again! Couldn't recommend it more. Well done to the manager who was ever so helpful in every single way and I recommended the hotel to all my course mates. Thanks for everything!

The room we got was quite big for what you get in London. It had minor problems, like the tap of the shower loses water, the furniture was dirty inside, and the pillows are extra thin. It is close to the tube and bus, well connected to the city center, although you can't go walking. The service was excellent, very kind people did our stay like being home. It also has a kitchen, where you can prepare yourself breakfast with all the things they have there, which is great.
