Post renovation and the continental breakfast the experience has been different. Amazing location in central london.

The room was clean, without great luxuries but to be in central London is a very reasonable price. In the room we stayed in there was only a shower and a sink, the bathrooms are shared.

Good hotel in quiet part of town. Near marble arch tube. Breakfast served in room!

I don't like leaving negative posts as it can be quite subjective. However this place only got 2 stars due to its location. I was booked this last minute and was given a family room at the top of the building. The place was advertised with breakfast, I stayed 2 nights but didn't manage to get the breakfast. You have to order it on the morning you want it after 8am as there are no staff there before. I queried this as I needed to leave before 8 and was told, in other words, that I wouldn't be missing much. Great. On entering the room, I noticed that there was a take away container in the uncleaned shower cubicle. At this stage I had already resigned myself to the fact that this isn't a hotel du vin, but basic hygiene is a fundamental part of being a hotelier, I found a cleaning rota, it was completed… on September 10th. Not overly concerned as I could remove it and shower the shower down, but thought I'd mention it to the receptionist who checked me in. Her response was that the room had been cleaned and the cleaner must have left the rubbish behind, then promptly dismissed me and walked off. I still had to remove the carton and rinse the shower, no drama there but should have been offered that solution from the hotel really. Any way needless to say, I won't be staying there again and have asked for the hotel to be removed from our company booking service, imagine booking a customer in there!

Cheap as chips basic digs in the area of Mayfair.

Top location and unbeatable price for London. Don't expect much in terms of facilities but you get everything you need.

Nice place to stay, very close to Marble Arche underground station and Oxford Street, room is a little bit small but sufficient. Staff is smilly and welcome. I usually stay stay here when visiting London.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The area is perfect and price is affordable.

As many having read the customer reviews, I had some apprehension before arriving at the hotel. So I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and cleaned every day, the hotel is extremely well placed, 3 mins walk to Oxford Street, MArble Arch and Hyde Park. Actually, the water pressure from the shower was very limited, but is it serious? I recommend, I do not think we can do better at this price there in London.

They wanted cash payment when we arrived. Came there at 11 pm or so. They had said nothing about that, even thou we had said that we would arrive late. Narrow steps up to the room, and odd whit the shower in the room, not in a bathroom. Didn't have a good feeling about the stay.

One of my worst experiences ever the staff are sort of nice. The room was full of Fleas and they only were going to change the bed sheets until I've told them that room has to be locked and specialists has to clean it.

No clean towels, very small and old, rude staff. Although Mr. Ali is nice, the bad facilities make me bad impression.

This hotel is the pits. The room was small, cramped and not very clean. The duvet wasn't even put in to the cover and the mattress had holes in it on the side with a broken spring poking out which caught my leg when I got out of bed. There were no covers on the spare pillow and there was only one pillow provided which was very thin. The bed sheet had two stains on it and the shower in our daughters room had hairs in the shower so had not been cleaned. The fridge was dirty and looked like it had never been cleaned. The bath had been painted to cover the chips in it and the overhead shower leaked from the tap, the hose and below the head meaning that the whole bathroom got covered in water. There were broken tiles and odd tiles put in to cover the holes where the broken tiles were. There was no soap or toletries provided at all and when we asked were told they didn't provide them. This meant that in the shared toilet there was no means of washing your hands and there weren't any towels provided in the toilets, they were also dirty and had soiled seats. The free breakfast was a joke, we were provided with two small glasses of orange juice, 3 half slices of toast and a small sachet of apricot jam, with a tea bag and coffee sachet. I would definitely not recommend this hotel and certainly won't be going back.

It is a horrible hotel. No toilet in the room. No lift. Nobody to help you with luggage. They have a small shower cubicle in the room, which is also not clean. No towels, very bad breakfast and unfriendly staff. Poor exhaust and room gets stuffy and also cigarette smoke from other rooms reach your room… making it even more suffocating. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There was another hotel across the street with cheaper rates and much better rooms and service. I paid USD 114 for this and totally not worth it.

It's clean and easy to get to local attractions, but it's nothing special. They don't have a breakfast room, they bring a tray to your room. Juice, white toast and diy tea or coffee. The toilet didn't flush, but as I said it was clean enough.

Average Hotel for those who know how to please.

Its okay. Location is quite good. Staff polite. Room quite small with shower in room, but toilet outside. Very simple breakfast in the room, but enough to start day. Bed okay. What do you need more when being outside all day?! Paid 50 pounds a night.

The shower was broken, windows and doors seemed paper.
It seemed clean, and the service is not bad.

I don't know where to start. We had book 2 months previous and on our arrival we were told there were no rooms available. We were then told we would have to share a room with three beds when we had booked one single and one double. Eventually the manager gave us our booked rooms after much flapping on his behalf. The rooms we were given were a decent size but our shower didn't work and only had Arabian Satellite TV. There were hairs and holes in the bed linen, and most of the lights by the beds didn't work. I would seriously consider somewhere else before renting a room here.

I must confessed that this hotel saved the lives because we didn't know where to sleep and that we found around 22:30 after 3 hours of walking the streets of London! I enjoyed, it is very well located, close to hide park and oxford street. It is very clean and the front desk is quite nice! In short notice very positive.

Absolutly disgusting. It is not a hotel it is a boarding house. Smell, dirt everywhere. Not a friendly staff. Toilet does not flush properly. Shower looks like never been used, dry without water. Maybe manager of the hotel thinks that shower not important but, unfortunately, I cannot agree. Never book this hotel.
