We had a fabulous time today, Felix, our waiter was outstanding The customer service was excellent So friendly, nothing was too much bother for us, my mum is disabled, they were so accommodating Decor, food, atmosphere was top notch 👍🏻

We just had a lovely couple of hours in the lobby bar. Wonderful cocktails and staff are so lovely 🥰

Really expensive afternoon tea that is supposed to be Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Aside from a few token decorations around the place, I’d have no clue this was supposed to have a theme! It’s more like a brightly lit department store cafe! The quality of the tea is really poor, stale sandwiches, etc. And the service was slow which meant we were late in getting our courses but staff were cleaning up around us to get us out. Including asking for payment whilst we were still eating! Despite being 6 of us, we were stuck on a tiny table which was very poorly lit in the corner. We asked to move but were told we couldn’t. They got orders wrong, we were constantly waiting for tea that didn’t come, the whole thing aside from reasonably friendly service, was terrible. Despite spending £600, it lacked in every department. You can get far better in London, Claridges is only £10-20 more (with champagne) and is a totally different level. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

My daughter and I recently ate in Indigo restaurant for my 50th Birthday.
The food was outstanding … and as a person with coeliac I felt safe to eat there as the venue is both gluten and dairy free.
Not only was the food spectacular, the staff were equally lovely. Lots of smiles and friendliness. We felt quite at home during our visit. I also was presented with a little birthday cake.

Amazing service and quality of good. It was my second time there for afternoon tea and both times were just brilliant.

Had a wonderful Charlie & the Chocolate Factory themed afternoon tea & it was delicious, which was a birthday treat. The staff are so good too from the doorman to the receptionists to the waiting staff. All were so polite & happy smiling faces — nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely go again. I even got presented with a little birthday cake. Also had a full body massage in the spa before the afternoon tea, which was absolutely amazing & can honestly say it was the best one I’ve ever had, which was performed by Victoria. So relaxing. The facilities are brilliant too.

Beautiful hotel with stunning rooms and lovely views for London. The beds were so comfortable and the pillows were super soft.

All staff from concierge to room service to bar staff were polite, friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble.
We were made to feel very welcome in the spa and had a very relaxing massage and facial.

I arrived pre The Tina Turner show which is a couple of minutes walk away. The service was excellent and the food was out of this world. Pricey, but not ridiculously.
I was so impressed, I'm going to take my children there at some stage.
The staff, 99 out of 100. I personally found that the people serving us couldn't have been more polite. However, one lady wearing a trouser suit didn't smile at us once even though we had eye contact as the young lady serving me kindly asked her a question regarding the menu for me.
This will not put me off from returning, perhaps next time she may be happier!

We visited here with our Daughters for a pre drink/meal before going off to see a show. The Location is great for many of the West End Theatres and very fresh, clean and spacious. Recommend a definite visit.

Amazing, service is impeccable, made us cocktails that were not on the menu and took the time to talk to us. Friendly and not pretentious. Afternoon tea is without a doubt one of the best in London. Gosia who served us was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely be back.

Great hotel with wonderful staff, nothing is too much trouble! At breakfast one of the team overheard us mention my daughters birthday was soon, within 10 minutes he came out with a little cake, 'happy birthday' decorated on the plate, and a candle. She loved it! And I have no idea how they do it, but when we pull up outside in the car, the concierge comes out to meet us, greets us and even knows our name, amazing!

A friend bought me the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory afternoon tea for my birthday and we finally went this weekend. It was amazing, the savoury aspect was my favourite. The coronation chicken sandwich was out of this world as was the egg mayonnaise brioche. My friend doesn't like coronation chicken and I don't like salmon so we swapped which was ideal. The piece de resistance was the quiche — it was out of this world. It is quite possibly one of the nicest things I h…ave ever eaten. We were asked if we wanted another sandwich or a quiche and stupidly I decided to wait. The sweet aspect was good but because I love savoury, it wasn't as good. It was fantastic and tasted wonderful but it's just personal choice. I told my husband all about it and he looked at the photographs and said he'd like to go. It won't be for a while as we don't come to London that often anymore but we'll definitely be back and I hope the quiche will still be on the menu. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon and glorious food.

Big room with lots of closet space. The shower, tub and products are great. The indoor pool was wonderful and refreshing to use, especially after a long flight. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and give 5-star service intuitively, and without being over the top. Gorgeous lobby — a cocktail there is a must.

This is an amazing hotel! Every time my family and I go, they always remember us and welcome us back. If you ever need anything just ask one of the people at the concierge. For example my family and I are going to go to Rome, one of the lady’s at the concierge desk (her name is Claudia) provided us with a list of places to visit in Rome. Also at One Aldwych hotel they have a swimming pool. This is no ordinary pool, this swimming pool has underwater lights and music. Last year the lights and music in the pool were not working, much to my disappointment. Also they have introduced a new amenity in the hotel. It is called the guest lounge (I think). The guest lounge is located inside the hotel as soon as you open the door. It blends in with the wall so it is fine if you miss it at first. The guest lounge is there so you can have a drink and take it in to the guest lounge and not have to be bothered by all the noise. The guest lounge is very rarely packed. I hope you really enjoy your stay at One Aldwych. I know you won’t regret your choice. The drink my family and I always get at One Aldwych is The Charlie (non alcoholic). (I think that is what is called).

We were thoroughly spoilt and were stuffed when we left. Would highly recommend going. Felt really made to feel special and enjoyed the food. Was a member since Sept 2013 and for 8 months everything went well without a glitch. Enter a new spa manager (highly bias) and there was a catalog of various things that were to go downhill. Not only was there something always out of service but emails to her went ignored. It reached a point her senior management had to step in and this became nothing but a lip service affair. All the while being charged £127 a month. When I got fed up of failure in services something that current GM disagreed with, I got asked to leave the health club! They were happy to take my money monthly, provide sub-standard service and the moment I requested money back I was told to leave the health club. GM said things not functioning was not a sign of poor service. Backed by his board and clearly a standard of leading hotels of the world! My belongings remain in their lockers. I was going to file a lawsuit but was difficult to quantify a loss. Still seething with how I was treated. So much for loyalty!

Really good food. Great venue and service was impeccable. Would thoroughly recommend the set menu and it is also really well located for theatre land!

We found this place by chance as we looking for food as I'm gluten intolerant. We asked if we could have a meal there as there restaurant is gf and dairy free, they said we need to book a table and I was so disappointed. They saw this and got us in and I'm so glad as the food and service was awesome, I felt relaxed knowing the food I was eating wasn't going to make me ill and left feeling satisfied. Highly recommended this place.

Had dinner at Enoko and was massively impressed. The food was outstanding — Basque influenced. Every bite a true pleasure. The front of house team were brilliant. Attentive enough without being overbearing, knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend Enoko to anyone and everyone.

We arrived on Tues and are staying until Fri, the staff and Hotel itself are absolutely faultless. My client is disabled and from the moment we were greeted on arrival the staff could not be more accommodating, nothing is to much trouble, the room service and continental breakfast is wonderful. My client and her husband will sample the restaurant tom before leaving.
Thankyou to all the staff, although I am essentially working while staying it has been a lovely experience, no it is not cheap but the service is worth every penny.

We had a delumshush lunch and a complete bargain, I opted for 2 course for I think £27, might have been £22, (I was not paying sooooooo. …), perfectly cooked, it actually cost me £20 for fish & chips and a drink at pub opposite the day before so I was very impressed with price and food was no comparison obviously. Coming to a show in June and gonna pop in for lunch.
Again just need to compliment staff absolutely faultless. Thankyou.

Absolute attention to detail but done in a friendly inclusive manner. Not at all cold and snobbish but still treat you very much as the VIP. The hotel is beautiful. Contemporary design done well with a few quirks thrown in to keep things interesting. The food is first class and deserves a review of its own. With a menu that's dairy and gluten free you'd never know it until someone highlights it to you. Every dish was executed perfectly and served hot (I hate getting cold dishes in a restaurant). Toilets are beautiful and eco friendly with a vacuum system. I didn't stay in a room but I'd love to.

Excellent tea. Everything was slick and well managed, as you would want, given the bill. A real treat and a lovely time out.

Very good location Nice bar. Room small but OK. Zealous receptionist on the demo of the (small) room. Forget to take the imprint of the CB! Breakfast at the menu disappointing very expensive and very long.

Great cocktails, wonderfully and elegantly presented. 16£ for a Gin Tonic seems to be a fair price for a hotel bar, but the finger food (abundantly served I must confess) should have given the customer a little wider choice: just olives and nuts. By the way. Great staff, very pretty, polite and friendly. Very elegant contest. A good choice for the style lovers.

Visited for afternoon tea, have only heard good things so had to try. Price wise, it is very reasonable for a highly rated venue. Food was very nice and a Charlie Chocolate Factory theme was interesting and unique. They were able to bring extra dishes upon request which was nice, some places would offer this without asking however. Still, highly recommended!

We attended the Film & Fizz evening. The film was Its A Wonderful Life, the fizz was champagne, plus a box of popcorn. The 3 course meal after was excellent, the venison was melt in your mouth. The restaurant overlooks the lobby bar with what must be one of the best Christmas trees in town. Would recommend it to anyone. Great value at £55 per head.

The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed afternoon tea was interesting but overall this is not the best afternoon tea in London in that price range (£50+). The tea order was taken after the serving of finger sandwiches (refills available). The tea menu was somewhat limited although the tea itself was very good. There were cheese scones that were fairly ordinary and proper scones were served later on (but not refilled). The sweets were hit and miss — chocolate egg was very good but candy floss and others spoiled by the incessant use of bubblegum flavour. The service was attentive and friendly.

The indigo restaurant is the only one I know in London that does gorgeous food that is dairy free. our daughter loves to eat out but it is always a challenge to find nice restaurants that serves high quality food in lovely surroundings. the service is top notch and very attentive. the onion bread, which is also gluten free, is delicious. Be careful not to fill up. scallops as a main course, lamb or fish for mains — both yummy — and desserts to die for. And some of the best hot chocolate in town. go there.

My partner and I had the pleasure of experiencing the festive afternoon tea for a second year running. Once again, the food was exceptional and the service was first class. From start to finish we had a faultless experience.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Relaxing pool and sauna. Staff were very friendly (if not a little too friendly and persistent with checking everything was okay). They turned down the bed whilst I was using the pool and moved a lot of things around in the room (which I wasn’t used to! ) but overall a very pleasant stay (only there for one night), the king size bed was very comfortable with no noise from outside and it was very dark in the room so had a great sleep.

Never fails. Instant seating, quiet seating for work if you need it. Brilliant cocktails (I think go Classic, rather than the Showtime List) excellent service. I don't think you'll find a better Old Fashioned in London (and they mix them 3 ways, on a trolley, in front of your table! )

Indigo restaurant was great for a business lunch. Attentive staff, but not too attentive. Well presented, tasty food, relaxed seating and an elevated view over the lobby of this pretty hotel. The price list for the wine was a little higher than it should have been, in my opinion, but I will definitely return.

I am not sure why Google asked me to review this hotel as I didn't stay there or eat there. At least I don't remember doing so. That either means this place was either so unmemorable that I can't recall it in the slightest. Or that it simply lacked the terrible qualities I'm used to seeing in other hotels that stick in my mind. Either way, I'm giving this place the benefit of the doubt at 4

Nice place to go for wine/cocktails/afternoon tea. Expensive but it would be in the theatre district. Service very good, so was the wine! very pleasant place to sit and while away an hour before starting journey home.

I had the vegan Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed afternoon tea here. After a little wait, the service was excellent. The selection was thoughtful​ and creative with rhubarb and custard flavoured candy floss, caramel cold chocolate drinks, mousse, fruit and a beautiful selection of teas (we tried mango, chocolate and lychee/rose), as well as pitta /sandwiches and dips and a beetroot salad with almonds and sugar. I would have loved to have a vegan cream egg version and to be presented with a printed vegan menu, instead of the non-veg one, but I can definitely recommend it! Prices were £39pp for basically an all you van eat deal for a two hour slot, excluding alcoholic beverages. There's a pricier version that includes a cocktail or prosecco, I think. The vegan hot chocolate is lovely, too!

Probably the best cocktail lounge in London for the discerning. Lounge area is huge, with ceilings as tall as it is wide. Staff know service here. Not as expensive as it looks which is another pleasant surprise.

Specialty drinks in the hotel bar are on another level, literally! They are all themed from different musicals or shows and come in unique glasses or means of dispense. I had the origin and they brought over a VR headset to show a short video on how the drink is made. On to of that, the staff was really helpful and incredibly nice. Lastly, there was live music. We had a very nice and unexpected time!

Conveniently located close to Covent Garden, and numerous popular theatres, this is a wonderful, boutique, luxury hotel. Boasting two great restaurants and a relaxing bar area, it's a great base from which to explore London. The Indigo restaurant is gluten — and dairy-free for lunch and dinner, and has gluten-free breakfast options. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Lovely hotel, the rooms are exquisite the beds are one of the best I have sleped on. The staff are always happy and polite and the food is up to a very nice standard.

Even the appetisers are delicous, but the very top of the afternoon tea are the sweets. This peacices served in a Charlies Chocolate Factroy style are amazing. I would really recommend this location as best in town.

Went in for a Charlie and The Chocolate Factory tea which was gorgeous. Was promised a prize for guessing the flavour of the candy floss. Gave up waiting after 15 minutes as I had a play to see. The food and the service was lovely. The waiters/waitresses were very friendly.

My wife and I completely enjoyed our 6 night stay at One Aldwych. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Our room was clean and well appointed. The Lobby Bar was one of the highlights of our trip; they elevate bar tending to an art form. Don't miss out on the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tea. Highly recommend this hotel.

Came here for the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Afternoon Tea. It was nice, but not quite up to the standard of others I've had elsewhere. The candyfloss and cocoa bean financiers were fantastic though! The outside of the hotel is unremarkable, but it is beautiful inside. The service was exceptional. I would definitely return.

I went here for their Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Afternoon Tea and enjoyed the experience so much that I returned just a few weeks later! The afternoon tea itself was incredible and I enjoyed every single second of it, coming out of there feeling truly sick where I'd overindulged! The venue is easy to get to and very attractively designed and the staff were extremely attentive without seeming like they were staring at you the whole time. I have a nut allergy and they went above and beyond, providing me with a cake that wasn't even listed on their menu to make up for the one I couldn't eat. Can't find a single fault with the whole experience.
