The proximity to Paddington station is why we booked this hotel. We we're pleased with the upper class styling and feel of the room. Other hotels could have been better value if it's just a place to crash, but splitting with friends is certainly a good way to reduce costs and guarantee a nice place to stay and not worry about broken AC, toilet, or shower.

Stayed last week for my UK Delegation, very convenient place, close to everything. Customer desk and staffs were very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Rupinder for great customer service.

Great location. Lots of places to eat close by and easy to go exploring from this as a base. Happy to look after our bags after check in.

Poor hotel, bad welcome, restaurant closed too early, etc etc.

This is a great location. Staff where extremely helpful and honest. The train station is easily accessible from the hotel. Lots of dining options around. The rooms are a little on the down size. If you are not staying in the hotel all day and just need a place to rest your head this is the spot the staff go above and beyond to accommodate.

Excellent hotel really friendly staff greeted by Rupindra at reception who was so helpful and give me a late check out. Rupindra and her team were all so helpful. Room was excellent. External appearance is off putting but ignore that as made up by service. Well done.

Clean, small rooms. Really basic. Typical traveller’s hotel meant for short stays. The best thing though is it’s proximity to Paddington Station and some amazing restaurants around it. It was perfect for my overnight stay between a train ride and scooting off to the airport in the Heathrow Express.

Nice hotel but a bit pricey for what it was.

Excellent customer service and the same can be said for the rooms. Good food, and good size rooms (by London standards) — would stay again and recommend for anyone looking for to stay for a night or two somewhere comfortable but not too lavish.

Excellent location and excellent value for money. Small rooms (if you are looking for economy, of course) but take care of the details.

Clean but very small rooms. The breakfast… A disaster, you are obligated to order salty food from the menu and there is no choice for dessert.

The hotel is very central to our offices. Staff was friendly and greeted us promptly. Room was clean, well appointed and modern. Hotel was quiet. Lot's of hot water! The only negative was that the sink was slow to drain, we asked that it be serviced and it seemed to be a "little" better, but not fixed. We appreciated the effort and assume that the repair was more extensive and would be undertaken after we left. One hint for future travelers, except for breakfast (perhaps), stay out of Garfunkels! Visit the local pubs!

The location is great but the room is very small for couples. We had to move the bed in order to get some space for our luggage. We smelled bacon and strong oil every morning since the room's window was just next to the chimney.

The Mercure Hotel in London Paddington is just next to the train station and tube station which is very convenient for tourist like me moving around in the city. There are different restaurants and shops nearby, even we are late back there are still some options for dinner. I am particularly impressed by the high quality of front desk services at Mercure Paddington. There was one night I had problems with my mobile phone and airline check-in, Mr Dasondi and Sudip provided me with emergency help! I appreciate their assistance on my issue and good knowledge about airport transport and check-in, very professional staff! Highly recommended and I will come back for my next trip in London!

The location is perfect because it's right near Paddington Station. I liked that there were a variety of restaurants of all prices and cultures right there. We were upgraded from a small double to a king which was a pleasant surprise. We really liked the modern and clean touches. Room 312 was quiet. So we were very happy. The service was top notch at the hotel. The breakfast was also another nice surprise as it was quite good and the service also excellent.

Spent 7 days in the hotel during Summer 2017. We booked an executive room with two single beds. We found the room to be quite small even for London. The worst was the rumbling of the trains passing underneath the hotel from early morning until late evening. Hotel staff was always very helpful and the breakfast at the Indigo hotel was great with plenty of fresh fruit and good coffee. The location on Praed street is great with busses leaving next to the hotel and a very short walk to Paddington station with easy access to all parts of London.

The rooms are small with carpet not by feeling of cleanliness. Tiny bathroom. Breakfast is in an adjoining room, the croissants were old and the choice for the continental breakfast very limited.

We stayed only one night in Paddington London Mercure, double extra (one up from a double room) and it was spacious and very nice. Bed was comfortable, firm but not too firm. Windows open for fresh air and for an American that is a treat. Can seldom find a hotel that "allows" that. The staff was very friendly at the desk. The hotel maids' storage room was just adjacent to ours and they were "talking" to each other as if they were down the street, way too loud. I thought someone was fighting in the hall at first. But that was in the morning at least. Overall very nice.

Nice hotel. Very well located to Paddington. Room was very nice. Not a huge fan of the breakfast in the cafe/restaurant next door. Good job I wasn't paying for it as I'm not sure it's 4* quality service or food.

Overwhelmed and visibly incompetent staff. The limit of rudeness (probably exceeded what rude), but unpleasant overall.

Can't be good if there are ear plugs on the night stand. You can feel the trains every so often. Ambulance sirens as St Mary Hospital is just a few meters away. Maybe too near the station. However it didn't bother me. Room 516 upgraded from single room was slightly bigger than Japanese size rooms so I would guess about 15+ Sq meters. Restrooms was quite narrow. Room felt like a converted attic. There were a few questionable dark stains on the pillows. Wifi was free and about 10 Mbps. Lastly on check-in receptionist told me my room was paid for but on check out the team of receptions insisted on charging me. It was not until I made a fuss and they triple checked did they realize their error. I would probably pick a hotel slightly further done the road next time.

Paddington is a very good place to live, there are many nearby restaurants with bars and authentic atmosphere. This hotel and blend in with the landscape of the region as a whole. It small and make it more comfortable, more refined. There's also a great restaurant, the staff smiling and helpful.

A room with a single bed barely fit for one person let alone a couple and the lack of willingness to allow us to change to something a bit bigger really irritated me and set the stage for one if the worst hotel experiences ever. In addition to the miniscule size of the room, the window looked out onto the Hvac system, the climate control of the room was abysmal, more hot than cool and staff that enters unannounced absolutely floored us. If our stay was any longer than 2 nights we would have demanded our money back and checked in at another hotel.

Even though the room was small (like rooms at boutique hotels in New York City), this boutique hotel has a lot of nice amenities. The room was very clean and quiet, beds were comfortable, large flat panel TV on wall, bottled water on nightstands, robes in closet, tea/coffee maker, hair dryer, bathroom toiletries (bath gel, shower cap, shampoo, etc), large bath towels, above sink shelf for toiletries. Our room accommodated two people with two large suitcases. There was not much space to move about, but it was adequate since we did not spend much time in the room. The king bed easily divided into two single beds. The staff was very nice, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast restaurant staff was also very accommodating. Breakfast was excellent with lots of menu choices plus a small buffet. The restaurant, Garfunkel's, is attached to the hotel but also is a public eatery. The bathroom was quite small and may not be liked by large people or anyone who has an issue with tight quarters. This hotel may not be well suited for families with lots of luggage and need for space. However, it may be well suited for business travelers, couples or singles. The free Wifi worked well with no complications. There was a minor TV snafu fixed the next day by staff. The location was excellent, 20 minute walk through Hyde Park to Buckingham Palace. Hotel is next to Paddington Station, a plus with the Heathrow Express just a 15 minute ride from the airport.

When I entered room 104 I thought this is a joke. This is way too much money for a room that is already overloaded with a queensize bed.

Lying down in room 514 supposedly a small double room not fit to accommodate a one human let alone accommodate a couple. May be suitable for a hobbit. Very expensive don't wast your money. If you are a couple with two medium size suitcase them you won't have any room to move about.

Room was in very big but it was very close to the train station.

3 nights at this hotel in may 2013. His first quality is the proximity to Paddington train station. The bedding is correct. Cleanliness is OK.
My room is very expensive in terms of the benefits available to it. Tiny, no minibar, sink ridiculous etc.
Although the 5th floor, it is badly isolated. I hear the elevator (the door creaks and a voice announces the opening and closing of the doors), the flush of the room next door seems to be stuck to my pillow and when my neighbor made his needs, I am close to the Niagara falls.
Very slow Wi-Fi and inadvertent disconnection.
The breakfast is of poor quality. The buffet is ridiculous. Croissants and pastries are unworthy of a French channel.
The service is very cheap.

The hotel is pretty good, but the subway passes below every 3 minutes. Yes these below the annoying 4 plant. This very clean and quite comfortable, aunq you ask them to change the sheets and do not. The staff is very bad, it seems that you annoying them. If it were just charge you twice and do not bother to explain how they're going to give back what you charge for more.
I do not come back.
