UNSAFE — manager blames guests when rooms are burgled! Hopefully this review can help at least one person AVOID the trauma that we occurred at this hotel. Our locked room was entered when we were not there and thousands of pounds worth of personal items were taken as well as passports, leaving us stuck in the UK with no option to travel home. No help or compassion was offered by any member of staff, least of all Ania, the manager. The receptionist admitted he just worked there for one month and was the only member of staff on the property, unsure of what to do in such cases. On the phone, the manager shouted at me that she would only deal with the police on this matter as she had no proof I was telling the truth. On arrival, the police identified the lack of security in the hotel and the case is currently under investigation but that doesn't help with the horror of what we had to experience — rude staff, the manager's refusal to move us to a safer room away from the faulty fire escape, the smirk of the manager when telling us that there was no way our room was entered (although the police acknowledged that universal key cards for such doors are easily purchased online). I was beyond shocked by the fact that Ania, the manager did absolutely nothing to try alleviate the stress and upset we endured at the hotel and only served to increase our frustrations by policy bashing, showing a complete lack of compassion or customer service training.

Read reviews before you stay! Warned to take valuables with you and lock cases. Room small, cigarette wrappings left in draw from previous occupant's (no smoking policy) room smelt of smoke, informed reception and still present the next day. No toiletries, towels grey and small. Shower screen dirty, bed linen stained, sockets loose, and breakfast appalling, dry rolls and juice! Staff friendly Location is good but sadly will not recommend to my friends or family.

Very small rooms, but seem to be standard in London. You are actually right in the city center, many restaurants, shopping and bus/subway stations on site. Nevertheless, it is very quiet in the room.
Parking available for 25 dollars per night.
It could be a bit cleaner, the duvet has two blood stains and in the toilet you can still find some hair from the predecessor…

It was really lovely, the staff was really helpful and amazing. The breakfast was brought to the room (you get to decide the time when you check in) and it was okay. The location was amazing, near the Paddington station and Hyde park. Definitely recommend!

Fairly priced room in London, not the best but okay. Breakfast in your room without any real dining area. Some of the staff were less helpful, others were very helpful. So if you get a "we can't do that" from one person, try someone else later on. One really annoying thing is the "doorbell" that went of without anyone there at all hours. But as they were under construction on the floor we stayed on, hopefully it will be sorted.

Rooms are OK nothing mad but good if you just need a basic bed etc. Breakfast delivered to your door (well apparently, as I've ordered one for 7.30 stating to reception that I have to leave early. She said no problem 7.30 Sharp. Left at 8 and nothing has been delivered). Room was fairly clean, again nothing mad.

Nice neighborhood, close to london underground — Lancaster gate or Paddington station. Lots if good food in the area, clean safe base to explore London from.

Ok for the price. Considerably clean but friendly staff. You're really paying for the location. Super close to underground station.

I was looking for a cheap hotel in London for a vacation with my son and I came across the Edward. It is well located and one is in 4 minutes on the subway. There are numerous restaurants and shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity. The room was small and one of the two mattresses was totally secluded. But for two nights it's enough. Breakfast was included in the price and there was toast, jam, cheese and ham as well as cereal. Then there's tea, coffee and juice. Perfectly sufficient as I find. The bathroom was small but relatively clean. The furniture has seen better times but it was also favorable for London. I would prefer to spend more and have a little more space next time.

Basic but clean and Tidy and good value for Money, I would stay there again no problem.

Good location near Metro.

The hotel is very well located. The room I got, dwarf, so small that to go out, the door could not open whole. Breakfast fairly fair (sometimes not reposed what is finished) and little varied. I would value other options rather than return.

Perfect hotel if you are looking for something close to underground and Hyde Park area. Reasonably cheap but breakfast is very poor and basic. Wouldn't stop me from booking it again as plenty of places to go for breakfast.

Small rooms and bathrooms mignon, it may be good for those who do not speak English, the staff is very helpful.

Old building no heating in the bathroom no trash can or hair dryer, very soft bed, for those who like. Very small room for three people.

For London Super Room conditions. Bathroom as everywhere in London deficient, breakfast is quite normal without bacon beans or something.

Beds were uncomfortable. The sheets do not stay on. The duvets are single but the covers are double. The uht milk was gone off. Reception did not care. The rooms are very cold and the heating (air con unit) is very very loud. Room was not cleaned well, found some rubbish in one of the bedside draws. Location was good. Would I stay again… No.

Dirty room that smells like dust. We have been changed rooms nicely and the, air conditioning which does not work no curtains insulating light or noise and windows so fine that we plane the feeling of sleeping outside!

Good sized twin room, clean and well decorated. Excellent onsuite bathroom. Breakfast served in the basement, not enough tables.

Perfect location, great service is very friendly staff I recommend it to all.

For 45 rooms there are only 7 tables there in that tiny breakfast room. We stayed for 5 nights and every morning when we came down to the breakfast room we had to wait until some other guests finish breakfast and we could get a table. Often there was a queue of few people in front of us. But even when you finally sit down, you'll be watched by next people looking sad and waiting for you finish and give them place. It's not a nice atmosphere. Some people start shout at poor staff, blaming them for lack of tables. 7 tables for 45 rooms. Once you finally got a table there is a new challenge there. It's a continental breakfast, but there is only one single toaster for 45 rooms *2 people = 90 guests. So you need to stand at the toaster waiting for your turn to use it. The juice jars are leaking onto the floor all the time so floor becomes wet and sticky. The staff trying to mop it but it constantly comes again. So you eat hearing guests shoes sticking to the floor. You can see on the pics people waiting all the time for something. About the rooms — I wish the windows got renovated. Looks shaby. Otherwise the rooms are ok. Though the staff at the hotel is very friendly, nice and helpful.

Well located. Clean. Little room. It has No European plugs. I had to go to a souvenir shop to buy one to be able to load the mobile.

Toilet smaller than my student room, I did not imagine this possible…
and cleanliness is not it but the air conditioning works well and at the reception they are polite.

Decent, moderately clean, very small breakfast.

Budget Hotel very well connected to the city centre as there is the Paddington station a few meters away. Breakfast is Cutrillo but comes with the price.
On a low budget, I would go without hesitation.

Stayed for a night, good location and the room was clean and made for a comfortable stay. Only area for improvement could be having a stronger Wi-Fi system, as we lost Internet connectivity at frequent intervals. Breakfast was nice, but a lack of seating meant that we had to wait for seats. Overall good value for money.

Easy to find from Paddington station, close to a grocery and several restaurants, easy access to Hyde Park. The rooms are small but clean and well-furnished.

What they and their staff consider clean would embarrass a boys fraternity house. Even the elevator was filthy. Yuck! Keep your soxes on, bring a sleep cover, and disinfectant wipes. Avoid the place, unless you are comfortable with frat house standards.

The location is perfect and the hotel is very nice. My room was really too small, and the breakfast disappointing.

The room was somewhat small but perfectly serviceable for two guests, clean and well maintained bar the non functional phone. Breakfast was basic but acceptable. The hotel itself is very well positioned, and overall the visit was fine.

Filthy rooms with condoms used under beds, cracks, encrusted glasses, dust and limestone everywhere in the bathroom. Terrible!

Not well maintained. Room smelt terrible, carpet was frayed, mirror was broken, bed made poorly, bathroom was dirty. Need I say more? It's not worth the money we saved by booking with them.

Hotel to avoid winter, no real heat, instead a malfunctioning air conditioning and no extra blanket despite our request.
Customer service contacted venere ineffective while we were cold until we left.
Cleanliness of the rooms very average and not insulation windows, puddle in the bathroom in the morning.
Two good points even when hot and nice shower (lots of showers also to warm up, what the hotel wanted to save heating we have it spend in water)

Hotel is very close to both Paddington and Hyde Park. Location is perfect. Price is very low for London. Rooms are too small, but sure you're not going to stay in the room, are you? Bed is large, shower and toilet are clean, shop to buy some food/drinks right at the corner. Good choice for short-term stay!

Room smells of smoke. £15 for Wi-Fi for 10 hours! Are you joking? No idea how this place has such good ratings.

Single room very small but well cleaned. The unlimited tea and coffee were a delightful surprise. I didn't like the lack of opening Windows in the room and Wi-Fi for an extra fee.

Smaller rooms than the average London standards, not so clean either, no mini bar in the rooms or a small fridge. Expensive Wi-Fi and very slow. Kind stuff, very nice area. In general, I believe it is an expensive hotel for what it offers.

I didn't like this hotel because you have to pay for EXTREMELY slow internet. There are plenty other hotels with free and good Wifi.

This hotel is convenient and comfortable, is clean and has a cosy touch, the only downside is that there was no fat blankets at our disposal, otherwise recommend it.

I was in this hotel for 2 night and I like this hotel service.

What more can ask for when u pay so little! Helpful staff, 24 hour reception, hot water and plenty of places to grab some dinner nearby.

Self and daughter also badly bitten by fleas/bed bugs. Wont book this hotel again.
