Went here for tea and it was delicious! Very reasonably priced and they were able to accommodate allergies (although it was a little confusing as they didn’t clearly specify what was/wasn’t allergy friendly). We sat outdoors which was beautiful. There is no smoking outside but several patrons hopped the rope barrier to smoke just outside the restaurant which was unpleasant for us. I’ve seen more varieties of teas elsewhere but we all enjoyed our teas here so it wasn’t a concern for us. GREAT accommodation for children — the high chair was a bit small but it did the trick and they gave us a brand new colouring book with coloured pencils which was a huge hit. I will absolutely be back!

We were here for a conference so we had some pretty high expectations given the amounts we are talking about. Everything from the reception staff to the Bar staff were friendly, every person smiled, and was happy to help. The food was unusual being seed on lettuce leaves which isn't quite to my taste but we're a refreshing difference to the standard lunch menus you find at events. The rooms were clean and well presented.

We had afternoon tea which was lovely. Very good service too. Recommended.

Nice bar but rude and inattentive bar staff. Left my friend at the bar to order me a vodka Martini. She requested that they wait until I could choose a vodka but this was ignored. Bar staff kept interrupting our conversation — the height of rudeness. There's some great bars in Soho with great service. This isn't one of them.

Nice place with great decor and atmosphere, only gets 4 stars as the food didn't live up to the hype. I had the crispy duck salad to start that was quite distinctly lacking in the crispy duck department, steak and frittes with peppercorn sauce for the main and although the steak was just how I like It, they forgot the frittes and so I had to wait for more to be done and the peppercorn sauce was a bit on the watery side for my liking. My dessert didn't fair much better either and felt a little bit standard.

Have have come here on a few occasions for dinner and drinks. Great decor, food and drink. Service inconsistent so this is the one negative. An oasis within the hustle of Picadilly. A great place to meet friends or that special person.

Wonderful experience. An absolutely beautifully quirky hotel stunningly designed. I went for afternoon tea which had a good array of cakes and sandwiches. I thought £22 was extremely reasonable. Despite being very busy the staff and service was impeccable. Caters well for vegans and coeliacs. Highly recommended.

Had afternoon tea. It was one of the few places I found, that was able to accommodate us on short notice (NTS: book afternoon teas in advance). One tier would have been just fine for the two of us, but we got two tiers and we absolutely stuffed ourselves. I have never eaten that much before, but it was so good, I couldn't stop. I still dream of their scones and clotted cream.

Breakfast at the restaurant was so good, I went back for lunch on the same day and was not disappointed! Excellent service, beautiful decor (as if the insides of a yurt were done in Art Deco rhythm) and delicious food. Oh, and for the lactose intolerant coffee nerd, they have almond milk and do flat whites!

Only visited the bar/cafe for a meeting but very impressed. Service is first class, the coffee excellent (amazing chocolate biscotti served with it) and the interior design is first class. Would love to try the rooms one day. Amazing kinetic wall sculpture/clock in the lobby :)

Very nice restaurant. I was impressed with friendliness of staff, great service and of course delicious meal. I think it a good combination of quality and price. I have also enjoyed the relaxing cosy atmosphere, modern decor and nice cocktails.

Have been here on numerous occasions for work and cannot fault it. Food is excellent and bowling alley / karaoke bar great fun. Have never had the chance to stay here but hope to get the opportunity to one day.

Very nice place. Staff were very good and responsive. I attended a work event there. The room used was good and the refreshments were good as well. Overall, a nice venue.

Have been on a number of occasions, from offsite days to leaving drinks, to presentations. The staff are always great, the food and beverage selection is great and well presented. The bowling alley and karaoke are a brilliant additions and always get used by our team! All in all a great place for business or pleasure.

I've been to the Ham Yard Hotel's Bar and Restaurant a few times and every time I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff there, the relaxed atmosphere, great service, and of course the delicious food and drinks. It's tricky to find a beautifully designed bar/restaurant in London where you have a great combination of service, quality and price. Speaking of prices, they're fair for its location and not overpriced like other spots in that area. I would highly recommend checking out their bar and restaurant areas for a nice celebratory meal in a beautiful space with friendly service. Worth noting that the restaurant area is separated from the bar, so you won't get disturbed by loud groups on the other side of the room.

I'm only rating this 3 for one reason alone Raphael (if this indeed was his name) the bar manager! After attending a fantastic evening at a Christmas party here in the dining room downstairs and (I would like to point out looked after by very attentive staff) a small group of no more then 10 decided to round off the evening with a couple of drinks at the hotel bar, only to be informed we could not order drinks as we were not hotel residents (we had previously been served here before dining) when we explained we had been dining downstairs we were told to speak with the bar manager. The host of the evening spoke to manager and explained that his business were having a party here and were also entertaining customers here who only required one more round of drinks to end the evening. I can only describe the bar manager's response as rude and belligerent and dismissed our hosts query with a flippant wave of the hand and stating it was hotel policy not to serve non residents after a certain time, even after explaining we had been dining for several hours here. In summary, he alone spoilt the positive experience and service we had received throughout the evening from every other member of this fantastic hotels staff.

Clean comfortable good service beautiful looking. Nice bowling alley. Nice hotel. Great bar. Fabulous rooms. Nothing I can say to fault this place.

Sub-par drinks, nice interior design, lots of places to sit (but you need to be on the ball to grab a seat as it can get busy), little terrace outside too. I would say it is a good date location if you are looking to impress and want a fail safe option. I’ve always had problems with rude customers who at this bar, so tend not to return.

Last time I was here I asked for the person who handles complaints. Purely because we expect complaints to be taken seriously but wave away exceptional service. We (five for dinner) probably interacted with five or six of the team whom were all absolutely exceptional. I'm very fortunate to eat out a lot. Ham Yard were truly exceptional — I look forward to going back soon.

My favourite hotel in London. It's contemporary and stylish but still has a warm ambience thanks to beautiful colourful fabrics and art everywhere. Pretty and romantic conservatory/orangery for drinks or afternoon tea. Great bar, very buzzy and hip.

There's nothing better than having afternoon tea and a good catch up and gossip with the girls. There's just something appealing about sitting down and being surrounded by pretty things. Items may look small and delicate, but they're still very filling… We hardly touched the goodies on the top layer. The clotted cream and jam were amazingly good with the scones — could have forced a few more down no matter how full I was. There were no issues with wheelchair access.

Lovely afternoon tea in a pretty, outdoor rooftop setting. Sandwiches were twists on boring classics, making them interesting again. The veg with a cheese dip (all cheese I dont eat, mixed together they were really good. I ate the lot) Really like that they keep bees and grow veg on the rooftop. Can't wait to go back. Did I mention the tea and champagne tasted great too.

Really sad to say we had quite an unfortunate experience when having Afternoon Tea today for my sister's baby shower. Initially everything was going well and staff were quite attentive (especially given we had a few dietary requirements amongst the group which the venue catered for well). After being served our food, we noticed that the air conditioning above us was dripping onto us and we were given another table. This is where things started to go wrong — the waiter mentioned that they were making us fresh teas, but these took 30 minutes to re-appear, and we had to ask again for strainers and milk etc, which took a further 15 minutes. We also had to request more jam and cream for the scones as these were not bought over. When the tea finally did arrive, they got mine and my sister's one wrong and it tasted much worse to the one we were enjoying before. This was quite important as the one which came tasted very strong and my pregnant sister was trying to avoid caffeine. We also ordered the sausage roll addition for her, but this turned out to be black pudding (not said anywhere on the menu) which she also couldn't eat and a number of people in our party didn't enjoy. I think once we moved tables, we were not allocated a waiter as it was really difficult to get the attention of staff to speak about these issues, and no one asked us how our tea was.

Came to have dinner here as a birthday treat. We had the set menu which was pretty good value for money £20 for two courses or £24 for three. The portions were fine dining sized so we got an extra side. All was really tasty and left really full. The cocktails were nice albeit on the pricey side £12 and up. Overall the decor of the place was gorgeous and waiting staff very attentive. Great place to come for food or just at the bar for Cocktails.

Location is very good, near Foyles (the bookshop), and with many mid-range restaurants nearby. Rooms are very comfortable, and relatively large. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Try the Eggs Benedict.

Go read all the reports about the rude staff employed here and you will realize you should avoid this place! Should you venture here for drinks or more you will be confronted with Eastern European bouncers who will restrict your entry and make your life hell. Even before you are seated! Avoid at all costs. Unless you wish to be abused and mistreated! And yes, I am a Londoner, and do not deserve your bad attitude and rudeness!

Really good food and cocktails (a little pricey but worth it for the standard and the atmosphere). The service tends to let down the hotel though.

Och was an event in the Hotel. The staff was nice and the Event was great. With the cinema and Bowling in the basement.

Only popped in for drinks and a relaxing sit down in the lounge area but was thoroughly impressed with the trendy decor. Would definitely return to see more and try the food!

One of the best cocktail bars I have been to recently, sooo buzzy, very mixed crowd and great cocktails to go with it! Did the small plates a while back and they are tasty enough too… Definitely recommend this place!

Went there for a cocktail, atmosphere is great, many nice people inside. No problem to get in, I have spent £15 per cocktail, but worth the good time spent there. The place looks good and the service is excellent.

Peaceful and relaxed. Hidden away but located in the middle of vibrant Soho. Classy place to start or end an evening without trying too hard to be achingly trendy.

We went to the hotel just to have dinner in the restaurant and it was lovely. We felt really attended to, they made special efforts to provide gluten free to my friend, even though we were there on a special offer menu. The food was delicious — I had a steak which was melt in the mouth. We had three courses after which we were full and happy! It is an oasis of calm in a particularly busy part of London!

Quirky and yet astonishingly chic decorations. Large, spacious rooms and a gorgeous swimming pool (although a bit cold). The restaurant was also incredible. The service was slow but the food was well worth it. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I loved our visit to the ham yard hotel. The rooms are really spacious and beautifully furnished. The feel is invigorating stylish and contemporary — the hotel itself is luxurious in its feel and size without being a big city hotel — it offers amazing get away and relax spaces. ◦ We visited here for a premier in the underground cinema. The cinema was great and a pleasant change from the usual Vue or Odeon, the downstairs bar was nice with a great selection of drinks but a little pricey as to be expected in the centre of London.

Had a great time at an event for TalkTalk TV at the Ham Yard hotel, nice drinks and canapés and a great screening room where we watched The Force Awakens!

Good standing/seating areas in the court yard so socialised there for a bit yesterday night when the weather was good. Great atmosphere and not too crowded. The courtyard was very very pleasant with trees and seating.

Went there for the outdoor bar. Very cozy place where to drink a special camomile plus gin tea like served. Great!

I usually come here for the bar, so I can't judge the hotel. But the atmosphere is really nice, location perfect being in the centre in the Soho area. It's always a pleasure spend time in here for a drink or a snack. The staff is always friendly and ready to assist you.

Visited Ham Yard Hotel for a work conference a few weeks ago and I had a great time. The staff are super courteous and professional, the venue is beautiful! Can't wait to head back to have afternoon tea and/or cocktails and try out the spa facilities — an update will follow!

Lovely location, lovely staff and services, ambience was very nice, and it's well worth for the price.

Ham yard hotel, The location is Central, you don't have to stay in Buckingham Palace. West End theatres, and Westminster's attractions, Regent Street, Shopping Centre and many other places at a distance from the hotel just throw a stone that far. Although in Piccadilly Square on the side, but the hotel is also very quiet, can't hear those can take you to other local transportation, noise, voice and a London police report. Even better, the internal decor is also really beautiful. You're really gonna love the gray marble of the bath…

Had a wonderful afternoon tea here with my Mum. The staff were extremely accommodating to change the sandwiches to a more vegetarian suitable option and were attentive the whole duration of our tea. All the cakes were freshly made and delicious, along with a great selection of teas to pick from. The decor in the hotel is beautiful and a great place to take the parents when they're in town. If you can, try and get a table in the 'green house' section in the back of the restaurant.

A great surprise is the restaurant where dinner, a drink, or take afternoon tea. Don't miss trying the octopus with a sauce of lime, chile and mint.

The food here is a bit like talking to yourself. It makes sense, but it doesn't really give you much to think about. It is a little Oasis in the middle of Soho, and isn't without redeeming factors, like the set up, cocktail list and well presented crowd.

The Ham Yard Hotel is a quiet oasis in the hustle and bustle of Soho. I haven't had the chance to stay overnight yet, but dined in the restaurant a couple of times. It's a great spot for brunch on a morning when it's nice enough to sit outside — menu ranges from traditional eggs to green juices and a delicious shakshuka. Prices are really reasonable considering and the service was super. Definitely one for when the parents are in town.
