Excellent service. A great place to stay.

Proper old-school English hotel. Positively different from chain hotels.

Reasonable price. Central location. Beautiful and large rooms.

Lovely hotel! Just lovely and lovely! Staffs are extremely helpful. Breakfast is good too. I tried each one of house pressed juice, and they are the best I ever had.

Terible breakfast and coffee. Avoid. I had the full English breakfast with coffee. Food was awful and it was served cold. The waiter was rude and the coffee never came. Save yourself the hassle and go to Pret, Eat down the street.

Stayed here on business, on arrival was not informed that breakfast was not included. No information in the room on any services in the room or in the hotel — apparently breakfast is al la carte and looks to take ages to serve so ended up in the Pret a Manger on the corner. No idea how to use the coffee machine in the room — no instructions. Super bathroom but really difficult to work out how to turn the shower on and stop it. Was quiet and bed was comfortable so got a good nights sleep. Good location but overall disappointing for the price, could have been so much better with better information and service.

Had lunch with the family here. Excellent food and service. Only downside is a number of staff struggle to speak or understand English so sometimes was difficult to communicate with them.

The hotel has very limited parking!, between Reception and the Concierge they struggled to assist me in where to park. I ended up with a ticket after having parked outside the hotel. I moved my car for the second nights stay and had to find directions for parking from the Coffee shop across the road! I ordered coffee from the hotel bar which never arrived, the Hotel still tried to charge me for it upon check out. On departure an item of clothing was left in the Bathroom, I rang reception the following day only to be told that they had not come across and lost property… My advice, if you stay here do not ask reception for any assistance, certainly do not order at the bar, a painful experience. Check and double check your room upon departure as the integrity of its staff is questionable. Next time I visit London, I will be booking the Sanderson, twice the price but an enjoyable experience.

A great location. When making a reservation, however, be sure to ask for a room with a renovated bathroom! Book breakfast!

Stayed here for work. It's a cosy hotel but I would say quite dated. I felt 30 years younger than the average age of the typical resident. (I'm 30). Cute little side lounges to enjoy a drink by a fire and very close to Oxford Street and Selfridges. Rooms felt a little dated but makes sense as the owners are in the 4th generation I was told.

Lovely period hotel, situated in the heart of the shopping area. The staff were attentive and helpful. Enjoyed my stay.

Charming old school hotel in London. Love the location and staff. It's not flashy & is proud of it's age-that's part of the charm. We really love the pine library/bar. Clive & Daniel are wonderful.

Was there on a business trip, and it was a very disappointing experience. Old and dirty carpets, hair on my bed, spots on the bed sheets and even no water on my second stay! On the top of that the breakfast service is even worse. On my 1st day I had to wait 20 minutes for the waiter to tell me that they had no granola. On my 2nd day I waited 30 minutes for a full english breakfast, which was just inacceptable so I just left without eating. And this for over GBP 300 a night!

This is an ultra well located hotel in central London. The price of the rooms is very reasonable for one of the most expensive capitals in the world. The hotel is beautiful, the paintings, the various works of art backed to the wall, the hardware and the panelling make it a nice place to stay. The restaurant is very good and the staff very helpful and appreciable.

Tidy little hotel with appealing dining rooms and a nice sitting room for post night-time nightcaps off the Marylebone High Street.

Good food and perfect facilities for a dinner/lunch event.

If you like old fashioned style, you will love it. I didn't. The doors for example are really old, so you can hear everything, also when you walk around. No breakfast buffet and very expensive. Not for business.

Very classy had a wedding reception here.

I've sat in the bar on many an evening to get out of the cold. Sitting next to the open fire with snow falling is a perfect scene. The bar is small so not many go there but there is always room to sit and enjoy a drink.

We recently discovered this lovely hotel and plan on visiting it much more. It is the epitome of understated elegance with a timeless feel, very friendly and great service.

A great place to stay for London's West End (shops, parks and theatres) — it really is the location that makes the stay, and you can pay a lot more for a room in other comparable places. Cosy rooms (small by US standards, but not so for the rest of us) in a period building, but with plenty of traditional charm.
