I have stayed here a few times I had one bad exoerience with building work but they dealt with it realy well. Thats the mark of a good hotel. Its my go too for location and price. Highly recomended. Just arrived I was last hete Jan 2020 still had the receipt in my suitcase thanks Covid!. Highly recomended.

I was booked into the hotel from 21st-27th of December. I know Covid has closed a lot of places but I checked my emails daily to make sure I didn’t receive anything about cancelation. I thought I better ring them to confirm the booking, so I rang today (Friday 18th December).
I explained my booked and that I wanted to confirm it. I spoke to a gentlemen who told me my booking was cancelled due to covid as they are only accommodating ‘essential workers’.
I asked, ‘when was someone going to tell me this? I’ve paid for my stay in full? I haven’t been informed of the cancellation. ’
His reply was ‘have you seen the news? It’s all over the news. ’ I am aware that Covid is on the news. I don’t live under a rock, but at the same time, a lot of places are still open and I would ASSUME I would have been told my booking was cancelled. Will not book here again.

My friend’s bag was stolen from the reception and unfortunately the staff refused to support or even investigate the case and we don’t understand why!

This is the worst hotel I have ever seen, No honesty, bad stuff and we don't feel safe at all in this place as our bag was stolen there… I don't recommend this hotel to anyone at all.

Food service was not good some food arrived others was finished when the rest of the food arrived also food wasn’t that hot, rooms beautiful and beds comfortable but no late bar and. Outdoor get drinking water in other hotels they supply bottle water to rooms. High price would not return again.

Stylish room with excellent quality furnishings and bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Excellent range of quality food for continental breakfast. Was handily located for concert we attended in Hyde Park.

Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and staff was friendly. About an hour walk to the London eye area but there’s a lot to see on the way if walking doesn’t bother you. I definitely recommend this hotel.

It is difficult to assess the property, because upon arrival we find that, due to renovations, the booked room is not available, and we are diverted (by taxi at the property's expense) to another hotel in the group (Norfolk Towers Paddington Hotel), seemingly equal, a few blocks away.
I could understand an unexpected one at a last-minute room, but the refurbishment work, with the hotel lobby comprehensible, basically a construction site, I don't think it was a sudden situation.
It would have been honest, and I would say the minimum required for a 4th, to be notified in advance, to be able to evaluate and choose whether to accept the transfer to another facility. Also because the reservation was made 3 months in advance.
Even with some hassle, so far, one could have turned a blind eye.
However, in the new hotel, we receive a very bad treatment. Tiny room, but above all smashed mattress, unusable. Unfortunately being midnight, nothing could be done until the next day. Being a small bed (double French), one of us has practically not slept.
The next day, we were changed room, fortunately. The staff was very cold about it (I would say more than anything annoyed), and we were not given any compensation or made an attempt to compensate (not even offered a bottle of water).
At the price paid, the service was very poor, the series of inconveniences were not handled by a qualified and competent staff.

This is the worst 4 star hotel that we have ever stayed in. We have booked the room 2 months ago and specifically asked for a bathtub. On the first day we checked in and tried to enjoy a hot bath and it turned out the bathtub didn’t work. The plug was missing. We asked for the help and the manager on duty named Nigel said there was absolutely nothing he could do for us, except some meaningless and useless apology. What kind of 4 star hotel will provide such lousy service to their customers? Our vacation was completely ruined because of this terrible service. Checking into this hotel? You should think again! For the price we paid we deserved something better than this!

I enjoyed staying at Blakemore in April 2018. Despite the renovation, it was a quite and enjoyable stay. The staff were helpful, trustworthy and friendly. My sister stayed in the hotel a month before and she forgot her camera. Fortunately they found it, kept it and I was able to bring it back to her. Thank you and I will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

There are so many better places you can go live for the same amount of money… I wouldn't go there again. The narrowest corridors two people can't cross each other… The rooms aren't bad AC's have a mind of their own… The elevators are small. The pictures I took of the fresh towels which were to be placed in the rooms… Never again.

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the amount of nighttime noise that resulted from guests arriving at all hours and using the stairs to bring luggage up to their rooms. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful and Nicola in the breakfast dining room was an exceptionally nice person who appeared to run a very tight ship but with a pleasant disposition. The television should have worked better than it did but truthfully we weren't around much anyway to watch so it was ok. We would stay there without hesitation if we're ever in London again.

Visited in May 2017 (spring), with one-night stay. This hotel's location is not so strategic (need to walk about 700m to reach nearest tube station (Bayswater station), also not in close proximity to bus station), but the environment is quiet, ensure you to have a good rest. Amenities are complete. Tea and coffee are available (limited) for free in the room. Breakfast is divided into two types: Continental (limited choice) and Full English (whole package can be picked). To convert the breakfast type, one has to pay £10/person/day. Has the cafe inside and still open until late night. Recommended for a short-and-resting stay in London.

Well located hotel, close to Metro (Central, circle and district). The hotel is also clean, quiet and the staff is friendly and friendly. I was a little disappointed with the breakfast as despite many choices the typical English breakfast was unsatisfactory.

This was an Hotel in a terrific location and the rooms are cleaned impeccably — and those are the only nice things I can say about it! Most of the staff were ignorant and some were downright rude at times! The lift took absolutely ages to arrive. The breakfast was ok, nothing special and definitely not worth the price and could definitely have done with avoiding the horrible member of staff who would speak to you with absolute utter contempt and would clear your table before you had finished! I have never before drunk tea or coffee that tasted as bad as it did, so I asked for a latte every morning instead. I stayed here for a week and if I hadn't prepaid and was informed by staff it was non refundable, I would have gone elsewhere. A truly horrible experience that I actually paid to receive! Never again! I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone in all good faith.

Great as usual, this is my second time here. Except this time they are doing some renovations to the lobby and reception area, so the entrance is very small and the lift doesn't stop at the ground floor. Also their restaurant is closed so there is no room service. They're only serving breakfast and drinks from the bar. The renovation is supposed to be completed by end of May, I expect the hotel will be back to its original great service then. Add that to the central location, the decent size of the room, the employees friendly attitude and the high quality of furniture and equipment. This is my favorite London hotel.

It is very dusty and our room was not at all clean. The bedsheet was covered with wool and hair. It kicked up my dust allergies. One can hear everything that goes on in any other room. People! Try cleaning it every once in a while. No room service — radiator was faulty! Not worth the money at all.

Good service and reformed rooms. The negative and the vote of 3 * is because they are doing important renovation works on the facade and much of the hotel and we were not warned when making the reservation.

Nice hotel but expensive for the service offered.
No heating with 5 ° in the morning, it's nice.
No TV a good part of the stay (not indispensable but always nice to have a background sound; fortunately we did not leave cash in the room since apparently there were flights at the time of our stay).
Otherwise you sleep well and it is close to Hyde Park or transportation.

I put a star because otherwise I can not publish my opinion. It was supposed to be a nice stay. We are at this very moment in this hotel which is under construction… On the day of our arrival impossible to rest, works just below our room. Disc, drill, and so on. The next day we changed rooms but no possibility of taking a shower. More hot water. The receptionist tells us it'll be over in 30 minutes. It only recovered the next day at the end of the morning. TV HS also. And yesterday we go home from our day in London and surprise! Our envelope with our money that was in my bag closed is gone. On the other hand when returning to the room everything was on whose TV. And the bed and everything done. But no more money. I didn't think the hotel staff were paying with the traveller's money. And the hotel unloads of course… So flee this hotel.

Very unhappy. Hotel in Works. Room change. New room no hot water. TV down. One person comes to troubleshoot the TV and we steal the rest of our money in the bag. Disappointed of the performance. Forced to complain. To ask the family to send us money. So very very bad impression.

It's good, the staff is attentive. Has a good breakfast maybe you miss the same more pastry.

Hotel very clean, the rest rather mediocre. Very small rooms, it works as if you were sleeping in the caravan, also the bathroom. However, the bathroom was quite new and very clean. Reception okay. Breakfast rather average. Atmosphere I found unrelaxed, so nothing for romantic days. The best thing was when construction work was started at the hotel on Saturdays at 8 o'clock in the morning. Price too expensive for what is offered.

Quiet hotel Next to Hyde park and in between 2 underground stations. Good value for money. Breakfast and rooms are More than Okay. Bathroom was already renovated (bath). Hotel itself is partly under reconstruction at the moment. Friendly staff. 3 minor things: 1/ beds are Not that long (Maybe ask for bigger beds if you’re a person longer Than 1, 85m) 2/ Wi-Fi is sometimes unstable 3/ almost no wall outlets in the room (only central in the room, Not Next to bed). Oh. And bring your own power plug adapters from Home or buy them in Londen. The hotel adapters — they give you one of you ask for — didn’t work (we tried 3 of those before we bought our own).

With just three minutes by foot to Hyde Park and five minutes to the nearest tube station, the Blakemore Hotel has a perfect location for guests and visitors of London. Several shops and restaurants are also just a short walk away. Compared to other hotels of the same price range in London, this hotel has relatively large and clean rooms with comfortable beds and offers a good continental breakfast (rolls, bread, croissants, cereals, juices and cold cuts were included; English breakfast costs £5, 50 per person and day). The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. The sourrounding district is not too busy — we enjoyed a good night's sleep. The Wi-Fi connection could be a bit faster, though. Overall, the Blakemore is a hotel with fair prices and good quality. I would stay here again!

Very comfortable beds and good continental breakfast, which also opens from 7 am. It is a little bit away from the metro stations, about 10 minutes from the nearest one, although there are buses closer that take you downtown.

My boyfriend & I have got home after a couple of wonderful days at this fantastic hotel. We have been staying there annually for the last 12 years. The staff are always helpful & friendly. The rooms are clean, spacious & comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to find out we had been upgraded to a suite & wow what a room, we didn't want to leave! Over the years we have been staying there the hotel has been continuously upgrading its facilities, but with little or no disruption to our visits & we are looking forward to seeing the new bar/restaurant area when we visit again next year. Can't recommend this hotel enough, we love it there.

A nice cozy hotel in one of the best areas in London. The quality you get for the price you pay is excellent. Upon our arrival we were upgraded to a suite. The room was just super spacious! Also the staff are Friendly and its a very clean hotel. The only disappointment is that check out is very early at 11am.

Staff really went above and beyond for us, excellent room (junior suite) and nice location little bit further from Hyde park than it appeared but pleasant walk there if weather allows! Cocktails were amazing! Which is a bonus! Thank You!

We stayed here last night after upgrading our room for me and my partner to the club executive room I believe. It was £196 a night and it was a very clean and very nice room. We stayed on the bottom floor. The staff were lovely, the bathroom was very clean, the sheets were clean, not very dusty at all was clearly cleaned well. We did not visit the breakfast so i’m not sure of this. But the bar was open till 1am the day we went and all the cups were clean. The room was huge, so if you’re worried it won’t be large enough, don’t! It’s huge! Would definitely recommend. Close to stations and main areas.

From arriving to leaving today, we both had an amazing experience with Blakemore hotels! Staff are extremely friendly and very welcoming On arrival we checked in and had been upgraded to a suite for free for my girlfriends birthday (How good is that) the suite was immaculate and extremely homely, even had two sinks and two TVs! The bed was huge! Lots of room! The suite it self was massive! Great please, highly recommended.

Amazing hotel, stayed in LG2 but only disappointment was the view, just another window opposite our room. Staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend to many.

Really lovely hotel our room was spotlessly clean and quiet even though on the front. The room was a little on the small though and had a couple of squeaky floorboards (room 121) but ideal for a short stay. The location is ideal and I always book this location when visiting London. Staff are very professional, polite and attentive. Breakfast is continental style and was really good. Would defiantly stay here again, thank you blakemore!

Great staff, and the quietest hotel in London. Couldn't hear a single noise from the street, and we slept with the window open during Notting Hill carnival. The chef was kind enough to make my breakfast exactly as I needed it and the lady who runs the restaurant does a great job. We'll be regulars.

Perfect location, located right next to Hyde park. Friendly staff and the room we recieved was clean, spacious and well presented. Sleeping here was blissful as me and my partner had no problem with noise coming from the hallway or other rooms. 5/5 would recommend and stay again.

Lovely hotel friendly and international staff comfortable beds. Easy to book at last minute and tasty breakfast included. For $200 a night US it was an excellent deal. You'd pay upwards of three hundred for a hotel not as nice back in the states.

This is a lovely reasonably priced hotel. Quite area about 10 mibute walk from nearest underground station. Staff are helpful and polite. Room was very clean and spacious. Lots of storage space, in fact enough drawers and cupboards to stay for a week. Our room was a twin room at the end of the corridor. I would have given 5* if the breakfast was better. I can't comment on the bacon or sausage as we are vegetarian but the scrambled egg was tasteless as were the mushrooms. In fact I have never tasted (or not tasted depending on your perspective) such awful egg or mushroom. We ended up eating a continental breakfast.

This is the perfect hotel for anyone wanting to hit the sights and still have a lovely evening walk around the park. Bayswater Underground is 7 minutes walk — and the highstreet has loads of shops for quick snack or a meal on the way back. With the Parks just at the end of the road you can get away from the city and relax — go and visit the Palace and feed the ducks. Wonderful friendly staff — large lounge/bar area and rooms were perfect. We would return without a doubt.

The heater wasn't working properly, thus we had to change the room. The new room was on the ground floor facing a wall and kitchen chimney — making it impossible to open due to smell. Very small TV for the room. Zero sound proofing, windows shattered as someone walked in the upper floor. Quite mediocre hotel for this price range.

Nice hotel with many buts. There is a safe but no instructions to use it, the bathroom is clean but there is no toilet brush. There is a minibar but it's empty. There is a kettle and tea but sugar packs are empty. The Wi-Fi sucks. They should pay more attention to detail, it could be a great hotel.

I've absolutely loved my stay at the Blakemore. All the staff is friendly and constantly available. The room is wonderful. Nothing is missing that I could want. Great bed, TV, storage space, iron, hairdryer, wonderful shower, everything is clean. Breakfast is delicious and staff is able and willing to cater to my gluten free diet. The location is wonderful if you're looking for a relaxing stay in London. The nearest metro is only a couple streets down and Hyde Park, which is gorgeous, is right at the end of the street. Would recommend the Blakemore.

Beautiful hotel near Hyde Park. Located in a residential area, quiet and peaceful. A 5-minute walk from the metro station of Bayswater. Genitle staff and helpfully. Wifi included but was often slow. Room and bathroom very clean. Excellent.

This hotel is terrible, the staff where rude across the board. The rooms where filthy and the walls paper thin. The room was boiling, we where told nothing could be done because we where on the second floor. The facilities within the room where all old and worn out, the batteries to the safe fell out! The view outside was of pipe work, also bottles of alcohol where right outside the window. The lifts sounded very unsafe, and the stairs had a horrible odor as well. We went down stairs to the bar and no one was there to serve! The rooms where tiny, the 'sofa bed' was not a sofa. It felt like sleeping on a metal frame, everything within the hotel seemed very cramped and squashed. The TV was also tiny, despite being told a flat screen was within the room. No mini bar was supplied either, at check-in a fee of £30 was asked to be paid 'just in case' we used it! the breakfast was also a disappointment, we where told it stopped at 10, so I rushed getting ready, although we didn't even get seated till 11 as no tables where available. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend, an utter disappointment.

Recently renewed hotel. Thin walls if you are light sleeper.

To be honest there is a few things that were positive but the negatives out weigh it. First off we were upgraded to a suite, which is great. I liked it and we were told that we would get complimentary water and bath robe, which we didnt and had to pay for a bath robe. When we got to the room it was freezing. Radiators didnt work and the place was cold. We were told the air conditioning wouldnt go any higher. Sockets on one side of the room wouldn't work either. The concierge on the day was very pleasant, beth in restaurant was lovely but overall It wasn't worth the price I paid. I wont be returning again.

The first of June, in the company of my children, arrived in London with reservation at Blakemore Hotel.
Triple room so composed: double bed and third bed added wedged between bed and wardrobe.

We stayed at this hotel in mid June 2007, the lobby of the hotel makes you think you have booked a room in a super chic hotel but just take elevator to understand it is a hotel a bit ' old '… Our rooms (1 double and one single) were really Tiny but I would say pretty clean… feature not to be underestimated when you are staying in UK! The breakfast is plentiful even if it never varies from one day to the other, CMQ good! The price not cheap but all in all we had a good, even with the staff. If I go back to London I think I would stay here again! I think you can find a lot worse… The location is great x visit the city, it is near Hyde Park on the Central Line.
