Reviews of Astor Victoria Hostel 3*
I stayed here in 2007 and was by far the best hostel I've stayed in. There was a Belgian guy that did $5 dinners that were amazing. There was a great group of Aussie girls back then I so wish I'd stayed in touch with. If youre reading this Hester, you mainly. Clean, comfortable. Great facilities. Miss those days of travelling ❤
Pleasant, clean and orderly facilities; helpful, informed, efficient staff!
Always very clean and tidy.
That was great! good location! welcome at the top! Warm team! good encounters! 😊 Thank you.
Staf lovely and friendly and helpful. The Inn is very clean, and fresh decor. Great location for all amenities.
Excellent location, the staff is wonderful, supportive, always willing to collaborate, human quality is the most important and here it is brilliant.
Great stay in this lovely hotel. Great value for money. Would stay again!
Lovely hostel and people. I've stayed here already a few times and can't complain about anything. It's always clean and the staff friendly. You get more than you pay for. Definitely one of the best hostels in its price range. The location is suberb!

RespondDecent selection of beers with a large indoor seating area. Standard pub menu for lunch and good enough quality. Atmosphere is laid back with young crowd and friendly staff.
Great little place! Friendly people and clean. It sits on a Nice quiet road as well. Good sleep.
I was staying here for 3nights. They're so friendly, all of them and the room was absolute okay. Will go to this hotel again. Many greets, anita.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location is also pretty great. Very easy to get around. Rooms and facilities leave a bit to be desired.
Food a bit expensive (baked camembert £14! ) but great location and good pub.
Good hostel, really nice receptionist, beds are good. Room was really hot, (but it's never this hot in england…) The fan was very loud. Breakfast for £1. — goes to charity.
Room 10 ok apart from no soap tray In bathroom and no shelf to put toothpaste etc. Evening meal very good. Cooked breakfast served on cold plates. Wafer thin hard bacon. Could do a lot better.
Very good location, close to Pimlico tube station and Victoria Coach Station. The staff were friendly, lots of amenities like lockers, padlocks, chargers etc. £1 breakfast (although I didn’t go for it), tea and coffee in the room, fan and heater in the room, bed was comfortable, towels and toiletries included. However, room was quite dirty, shared showers were absolutely disgusting, shared bathroom door didn’t lock, private room was in between two sets of stairs so very noisy! I had someone banging on my door repeatedly at 4am, which for a solo traveller is a bit frightening! £78 for a private room with shared bathroom for one night, I felt was a bit steep even for London as I’ve stayed in other hostels in London for around £55-60 a night that were much cleaner, but it was fine for a quick stop over.
The location of the hostel is excellent and so are the staff. The 24 hour reception people are super nice and help you a lot with everything from suggesting sightseeing places to helping your suitcase up the staircase. Though I stayed there for a night I feel that this place would be a go to for my next stay in London.
My wife and I recently stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it! Our room was clean and spacious, the staff was welcoming and accommodating, and the included breakfast was excellent. The inn is a little distance from the main London attractions, but not far from public transportation. We will absolutely be staying there on our next trip to London.
I hate this place! About 5 years ago a barman was rude to me and I swore I’d never go back. I went against my gut instinct and returned with some Friend’s unwillingly. I ordered a round of drinks at an empty bar and got ignored… I eventually got a drink and started to stupidly believe this place maybe semi respectable. At the end of the evening I went to Mac Donald’s to order a munch using the change the pub had given me to find out the b@stards had given me old pound coins which are obviously no longer legal tender! Victoria 2 me 0 For my own dignity I can never return. Obviously this goes without saying but I’d give 0 stars if possible. I know it’s not much to look at and it’s named after a b3llend piercing but my advice is go next door to the Prince Albert.
This was a great English experience. I will stay there again and again. The free breakfast was unbelievable.
Very dusty place. Not sure why dust accumulates into white mounds as shown in the photo. That's what we came back to after a day out. But crew were definitely welcoming and helpful. When we raised the issue about the dust, one of them came up immediately to clean, though unfortunately only so much can be done with napkins and water. Location is convenient and I think the £1 charity breakfast is a great idea.
Used to be a nice place but what a rip-off! Your exposed brickwork is very lovely but if it means punters have to part with +£6 for a pint we're not interested. £6 — can you believe?! What a joke! It doesn't even cost that in Town for an equivalent beer. This was still Peckham last time I checked… no?
Quiet place near Victoria underground. It was a very nice hotel. Big window and comfortable bed. Suitable for couples and for the weekend. Lift a little slow.
A minimum of comfort for a short stay.
Staff: very good.
Room: good.
Comfort Mattress: Very hard, not comfortable.
Bathroom: bathed in its juice.
Breakfast: Very average.
Value for money: a bit expensive in view of the benefits.
If you want more than 100 square feet to share with a bed and a bathroom this is not the place for you. But this is not the reason for my 1 star review. Although small it was clean and once you figured out the thermostat it was comfortable. Our biggest issue was the fact that we prebooked our hotel for two days and spent only one night before we had a family emergency north of London. When we asked for a refund on out second night we were told by the front desk clerk that we had to email the managers because he couldn't make those decisions. The response we received was, "I'm sorry for your family emergency but we cannot refund your money on prebooked stays. " I was very disappointed in the way they blatantly disregarded our issue. If I can figure out how to attach the screenshot I took of the conversation, I will.
Enjoyed a very nice stay here. Comfortable bed and a pleasant room meant a good night's rest. Dinner in the bar was very good. Would recommend and will stay again.
Had a generally positive experience here. This is certainly a case of 'you get what you pay for'. The corridors and rooms are not massive, nor are they especially luxurious. However, given the price, the quality of the room and the good customer service are above par, I think. The location of this hotel is also great, just a couple minutes walk away from Pimlico tube station. The complimentary breakfast is nothing jaw-dropping, but it a pleasant extra included for all guests. If you are looking for a cheaper accommodation option, I'd recommend staying here for your trip to London!
Awful, just awful. Had a lunch here with family. Food was terrible — fatty, poor quality beef and greasy tasteless roast chicken. Poor vegetarian option, mediocre and very slow service all capped off with an astonishingly outrageous bill for 6 people! Had the food been excellent, it still would've been expensive at almost £400 (yes almost £400! ), but it was awful. Even the children complained that their lunch was disgusting and needed to have something proper to eat when we returned home. This is a pub in Peckham. It is nothing special, not that nice and certainly doesn't warrant anywhere near the prices they charge for either food or drink. My advice is, ok for a beer but if you want food go somewhere else.
Very noisy, not recommended to sleep during the day.
Everything is on a reduced scale: the bed is small, the room narrow, difficult to turn around in the shower, the toilets against the trash, the breakfast room and the breakfast limited… What a pity! Because the hotel is ideally located, the staff are friendly and the luggage service very convenient.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only fault in room breakfast of minimum space and very hot.
Stylish hotel in a ritzy part of town with reasonable prices but tiny rooms. If you stay here, take a moment to enjoy the quotes from Queen Victoria's diaries. The superficiality that they convey are at times quite funny and at times quite sad. A decent (not great) breakfast is included but the breakfast area is relatively tight. The staff is very variable. Some are warm and welcoming and some seem indifferent to the guests. On the plus side, it is clean and centrally located.
-Good location-comfortable bed-very poor soundproofing: voices and slamming are heard with great intensity.
-Low quality breakfast.
Hotel with nice rate nearby Victoria station.
This hotel was in a good location, with a tube station nearby. We visited on a Friday and was surprised how quiet it was during the night. The room was too hot, even with a thermostat, the temperature wouldn't go below 22 degrees. The shower was nice, once we could get the temperature and speed right. The staff were very helpful getting us extra milk, printing things off and holding our luggage during the day. Breakfast was a continental with a good range. The toast needed to be browner as it came out white still! (Only the twist of a button so easy to sort out yourself). The scrambled egg was yum, as was the fruit salad and yoghurt. The croissant was a little dry. Overall a pleasant stay.
Close to the city centre. Clean and price-friendly. Friendly staff. Small breakfast room. Small elevator. Beds Okay. Room okay. On the hotel there is a smell, comparable to the smell of cheese feet. I don't know what that is, probably some wall. The proximity to the city centre is also very noisy. London is a very noisy city. This hotel is highly recommended for a LONDONKURZTRIPP due to its special location. Comparable to any 3 star hotel in Germany. Breakfast is nothing special, but also nothing bad. My conclusion, I can recommend it to any ottonormal consumer.
The location and the cleanliness of the staff were very good. The breakfast room a little too small. Two steps away the Metro… a nice quiet neighborhood, a pub on the way that does not hurt.
The hotel is quite cheap, if considered the location and the context of reference (in other words London). The room is very small, not to mention the tiny bathroom and the stairwells. Cleanliness not worthy of particular note, my room had, especially in the early days, of the dust, but if only for the rest it was well cleaned, changing towels daily, sheets only once in mid stay (one week). Breakfast buffet (non-existent), convenient only to save a little bit by not going to make it out.
Nothing to say about the rooms, spacious and very clean. The breakfast left me on my hunger. The staff are very friendly.
Quiet. Lift. All you can eat continental buffet breakfast. Free use of a mobile phone in each room. Great idea.
It's clean, newly done, I felt comfortable. BUT Watch out visitors. Basement can be loud in the morning with breakfast, or bedsheets delivery! I mean get your ear plugs people! Upstairs are okay but some rooms are too close together. Let pray you'll get a quiet visitors next door. Otherwise you would feel like you ain't alone inna room.! Also if they have to leave early. You'll definitely know they are leaving, as your room will shake when they close the door or moving their suitcase. Bathroom is clean, very pale yellow tiles. Mystery to why they chose that colour but it's still clean. Water pressure isn't great and LET YOUR SHOWER RUN FOR AWHILE to get your temperature. I set it high and it turned hot as I finished my shower… I mean that's long. I guess it's like this in most hotels around here. I would say this is one of my favorite one on Belgrave road.
Good for students. Good location. Friendly staff. There is NO drinking water in the hostel! Of course it is noisy a bit at night. A bit dirty. There is no elevator but quite a lot of floors.
Had a positive experience here. If you are looking for a cheaper accommodation option, I'd recommend staying here for your trip to London!
Nice staff. Simple, clean and lots of space. There's free storage under the bed, looks like breakfast was just £1. It's an easy walk from Victoria train / coach station and is in a nice neighbourhood. If you're looking for a bed for the night to catch an early bus / train, you can't go wrong here for the prices!
The tiny room. Very low ceilings. And the tiniest bathroom.
Hotel is conveniently located 2 minutes from Pimlico Metro and 7 minutes from Victoria station. The rooms are very clean and the bed is comfortable. The rooms however are not very soundproof and the bathroom is very very small. The staff are friendly and smiling. The breakfast is decent but not very plentiful.
I give a star because you can not give half.
Small room, tiny shower, not suitable for moderately thick people as it does not fit through the door that looks designed for Smurfs.
The breakfast room is improper of a 3 star hotel, with only 10 tables, plus the variety and quality of the same is to run away.
Breakfast workers go dirty with paint stains, it is extremely unhygienic.
Nice venue. Only came for a drinks but food looked good. Would go back again if in the area.
No frills room but with everything you need, very friendly staff, excellent communication, there is a subway station just around the corner, and the bus 24 for just opposite, and passes through the most touristy areas of the whole city, Westminster Abbey, Westminster Cathedral, next to Buckingham Palace, parliament, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, and even the Camden market.
The rooms are coasy, quiet, warm, well equipped with coffee, tea facilities, a Bluetooth speaker, and TV. Nice showers, could do with a little more oomph but probably out of their control. Food in the evening was a very traditional affair and fairly enjoyable. Breakfast is included in the price of the room, starts from 7, probably the weakest part of the show. My poached eggs were very meh, the granola was beautiful though, and the coffee was good. I'd stay again.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very friendly staff. The room was a little small, but everything was fine.
Cosy pub on bellenden road. Interesting beer selection and good food, albeit on the expensive side — mains from £14 — £24 I think. You won't be able to watch sports here unless some big event. E. G Monday night football will not be shown but maybe the England Ireland rugby will.
Friendly reception staff, easy check in. Room was modern, clean and bright with a large bed and good view of London. Breakfast was included but was very basic. Excellent location for theatres and only a few mins walk from train stations and bus stops.
Great place selling good local beers, food top quality.
Hotel cancelled my booking three days in advance of arrival having booked weeks ago. Price has shot up for those dates and very limited availability so I think they may have cancelled mine to get a better rate for the room.
The only good thing about the hostel is the location, the rest, very lazy. The bathrooms were guys and they smelled really bad, the rooms were very unpractical and it was always difficult to access the safety drawers without disturbing anyone. I wasn't even given a drawer, there wasn't enough in my room and they didn't bother to fix it. A friend with the theme of the keys he crapped silver, anyway, it was not a great experience.
Cosy pub on bellenden road. Interesting beer selection and good food, albeit on the expensive side — mains from £14 — £24 I think.
Lovely place, brilliant staff and a good general vibe all over. Incredibly well kept, rooms were airated well and you had access to amenities easily. Breakfast was a quid, nothing special but easily enough to get your day going. It's close to a tube station so getting around isn't a problem at all. Only issue may be the stairs for people who have difficulty with mobility. Overall awesome stay.
It was a very good location.
The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very lovely. No kitchen inside but there is a amazing breakfast that really fills you up. The rooms I would say is a bit crowded for a twin bed room, compared to other hotels I have stayed at. Otherwise, we got all our basic things that are needed. Also you are very close to transportation and a ten minute walk any direction to main attractions. Big Ben, London eye, Hyde's park, princess Diana memorial, Buckingham palace, lots of cute and romantic restaurants and the Victoria Station is a quick walk from the Inn.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location. Great breakfast and fab chill room.
The bathrooms are very small and the rooms also have a… Cleanliness is not your forte. Good attention! Good location.
Theres one barmen who really ruined our night with his inappropriateness. He was wearing a cap and had a funny tash! We won't be back till he has left! What a plonker! it's a shame as me and all my friends love the pub.
Staff felt a bit mental but friendly all the same. Service a bit slow. Food was average. The salad with the teriyaki squid was delicious but the batter hadn’t been seasoned on the squid so tasted of nothing. Burgers and fish were over cooked. Not real value for money and pub menu distinctly average. Shame as nice environment.
Very nice hostel nice people and for 1 pound all you can eat breakfast:) was very good.
Very nice hotel. Bus stop nearby, across the street (direction Westminster). Nice staff Clean room. Practical bathroom. Not very soundproof as you can hear the neighbors ' steps from the top and the door clicks from the neighbors of the landing but it's not awkward. Hotel convenient and Nice. Breakfast.
Great service, nice rooms but cramped a little needs to be a bit more spacious.
I lived here for, let’s say, quite some time. If you are a traveller this is the place to go. You will meet really cool people. Great area, safe and clean place, amazing and helpful staff. You cannot be disappointed.
Rooms are modern, cozy and big enough. The price is great and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
My only advice is to improve the windows since they do not hysolate the room from sound perfectly. Moreover, more careful cleaning would be good.
I absolutely suggest this hotel and I would definitely come back.
Nice staff. Basic breakfast of cereals and spreads for a pound. Beds are clean and toilets, showers are fairly clean too. The storage is basic under bed basket which you can have a padlock for in exchange of a 5 pound refundable deposit. I stayed at the Victoria hostel, very nice neighbourhood and close to the tube and Victoria station. Only downside are the fact beds are bunk beds which felt awekward getting your stuff from under the bottom, in addition to inconvenient access to power outlets. But all in all, a good place for a week's stay. I met a travelling couple who were through lots of hostels and they said the place was good too in comparison, so I guess this is something.
I had a great Sunday Roast at the Victoria Inn. The place was recommended to me because it serves really delicious food at a reasonable price, and the Victoria Inn did not disappoint! The atmosphere is really lovely and the bar has a great drink selection. I felt the table service was too slow, but the staff were so friendly that I didn't mind too much.
Location is pretty convenient, near to Victoria bus stop for tours and Pimlico station. But the rooms are too small. I stayed in a room for 4 and there was not enough space for us to walk around or open our luggages.
Marvellous overall experience, staff were incredibly friendly and answered every question I had thoroughly as well as taking the time out to orient me with maps that they provided free of charge. Location is very convenient and the hotel itself is super clean and cozy. The breakfast room in particular is very chaarming. Absolutely would recommend.
Great pub and hotel, lovely rooms, good food and local ales.
Decent pub in a nice quiet part of Peckham. Food is pretty pricey! Come here regularly from Herne Hill… it's a good place to wait for your table to be ready at The Begging Bowl opposite.
Nice quiet sit down drink for a Monday afternoon. Decent choice of drinks and fairly priced.
Good food. Good beer. Not cheap.
Poor food, really expensive. The burger tasted like it was cooked from frozen, I can name 10 places around here that I should have chosen for dinner. We also waited 20 mins for our drinks despite asking repeatedly, the place was quiet and our food arrived before the drinks… staff didn’t seem to care.
Amazing place! The location is perfect for touring the city, the personal is so nice, comfy beds! The breakfast is fill up & go (cereal and toast) but is good too.
Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Clean room. Child friendly lobby and rooms. Accessible location for Victoria station, proximal to popular tourist destinations and parks. Private bathrooms. Great value!
Nice hostel, good breakfast. Very well located, so you can walk to a lot attractions in the city. The rooms don't have ac, only fans: for me it was a problem to sleep at night. Besides that, no other complaint.
The place is very good, it is very close to the main tourist centers of London, Westminster 25 min, Buckingham Palace 40min, British Museum 50 min Walking, since the London Underground is expensive, includes continental breakfast for a cooperation of 1libra, bring A big padlock or a chain type for the bike for the safety drawer, something a little bad is that the water sometimes comes out cold and in autumn and winter is a martyrdom.
Great place 2 eat … very helpful & friendly staff a must place 2 eat if ur in the area. Menu & food excellent.
Very good hostel! Very comfortable bed when compared with other hostels. Good location right next to Hyde Park and 3 blocks from the tube. Very nice and helpful staff, I saw them cleaning every bathroom daily. Highly recommend this hostel!
Very good location!
I had a great time.
No complaints! Just: thank you!
A little gem of a place 10 minute walk from Victoria station. Excellent service.
Very close to Victoria station. Reasonable prices and rooms.
Two really disappointing Sunday Roasts. Hard 'roasties', tiny spoonful of green veg-one burnt slice of carrot and bitter gravy. Flavourless chicken (some thyme maybe?! ) and the pork was cold. Sent pork dinner back and it was returned (no re-plating) after being nicely zapped in the microwave! Tried to talk to the woman who appeared to be in charge but her response was to merely let the chef know — what use is that to me?! Clueless or they just don't give a damn about decent customer service. Total waste of money and time.
Hotel close to everything. 10 minutes from Victoria Station. 20 minutes from Buckingham. Own. Attentive. Friendly. Small but functional and very clean room. Only downside. We hear everything. Outside as inside but it doesn't matter. We're on vacation. Quality price no complaints. I found the perfect hotel when I return to London. Full breakfast.
Decent pub if a bit soulless. Reasonable beer and wine selection, but service is poor with fewer servers than needed and food is below average for the price.
Stayed here after being let down by another hotel in July. Great stay, clean and convenient. The triple room near breakfast room is noisy in the morning but someone has to have that room. Thankyou for rescuing our weekend at short notice (and cheaper than the other place too).
Brilliant hotel, nicely laid out and great valie for money.
Food is not good but I like that you have a lot of space to sit outside it makes it a great place to just chill in summer evenings when it's not too busy.
1 — I called the hotel before arriving to confirm an earlier check-in that I asked for the night before. When on the phone the lady (which may I add was not at all professional) stated "You might be allowed" "Probably will be ok". My girlfriend and I was travelling from Kent so we ideally wanted a "Yes" or a "No". Giving people false pretences isn't professional at all. The lady ended the call with "It'll probably be ok", leaving us with some hope for our room to be ready ear…lier… of course this wasn't what actually happened. 2 — The two ladies on reception was rude. Their mannerism and professionalism was not what we were expecting at all. 3 — The afternoon/night before we were due to arrive, I requested two things; 1a — Earlier/Later check-in/out. I didn't (and still haven't) heard whether this would be ok or not. I had to call up and ask the question myself. To be honest, what's the point in offering it if you clearly can't be bothered to clean a room out to ensure it's ready on time. 1b — I asked for some champagne and special request for my girlfriend upon arrival to the room. To which, yeah you have guessed it — that didn't happen either. If I would too known I would of bought the items myself and sorted it myself. It was a romantic weekend away and to be honest, the hotel let us down.
I arrived in London and this was the cheapest spot closest to bus station. Upon arrival I was told they had an age policy but one night they could handle. Staff was great, allowed me to shower and wash clothes prior to check in. Small toilets and showers but clean. Actually first place I saw chewing gum stuck to the upper bunk.
Home away from home when visiting London. Nice rooms and great to have a pub/lounge/restaurant at the base of the building. Located at great intersection with everything anyone would need.
It is located in a pretty safe street so u don't need to worry when u walk around late at night. Also, it is within walking distance from Victoria station where u can take bus going suburban areas in England. The restroom is not that dirty and u can enjoy some bread and cereal at 1£. U can meet many tourists from other countries and become friends. This hostel will be a good choice for backpackers.
Overpriced and abject menu but nice enough when you're hungry I guess. Lovely spot for a pint though, with plenty of local brews and a nice layout, especially in the dining area. Also, it legit has a soft play room with a baby monitor screening to huge TV above the bar! Now I'm not a parent but if I was I might even give five stars based on that alone!
Loved it. Very attractive room and bathroom. Very good breakfast selections. Staff friendly and helpful. Several terrific Peckham shops (including. A great little bookstore, Review) and restaurants within a block. Would definitely stay again.
Quiet hostel, which was exactly what I was looking for. Friendly staff and there's definitely the option to socialize if that's what you want. Clean rooms. No AC, as with most hostels, but we opened the window and had a fan and it wasn't unbearable. Close to 2 tube stations and lots of restaurants around the area. Pimlico is a cute neighborhood in London, and this hostel was awesome!
Sunshine*, good service, and sumptuous Sunday roast. Add friends. Perfect Sunday afternoon venue. Note, sunshine not guaranteed but a great spot if it's shining.
Small but ok room. No safe in the room or in the hotel frontdesk to store passports. Excellent location, close to two metro stations.
The Ros were great and the service was good. I just didn't know what I was getting into. I was just looking for a place to crash while I traveled. There's a huge college age vibe here. Very much a party place. That's sweet if it's what you are looking for. I wasn't. If you're looking for a more cozy place to just crash, look elsewhere. If you want to have a great time going out and partying with strangers, this is the place.
The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very lovely. No kitchen inside but there is a amazing breakfast.
Large array of beers and spirits which give a range of choices of what to have. Staff are friendly and service at the bar was quick. The sun was out which meant we could take advantage of the outside area which is on a road where you can enjoy your drink and watch the world go by with plenty of hustle and bustle.
Staff is so great! Very helpful. There was a mix up with our room but they straightened it right out. Other guests are friendly. Showers kinda iffy but it's all good.
Great friendly staff, comfy clean rooms, good location, and a 1p breakfast that goes to charity! Great place would definitely stay again :)
Unbeatable location. Close to the underground, victoria station and a few blocks of a supermarket. Very welcoming and friendly. Special to meet people and London. The only thing is that it has 5 floors with stairs. If you touch the last like me, it is not convenient.
Pretty standard hostel. Thanks bunk beds are a bit rickety where you can feel every move the person below makes and don't have close access to an outlet. For £1 you can get a breakfast of toast and cereal. Only stayed for one night but it looked like they offered a lot of tours and activities.
The boys and girls of the staff are nice and kind, a little uncomfortable the stairs and the shared bathrooms a little tight but the setting is very nice and the activities organized are so many! Great location.
Rooms are very clean. Neighbourhood is great! Part of the staff is not very friendly or motivated… Toilets and shower could be better: not very well looked after (could use renovation), no soap available and not enough space to quickly put your vanity bag Towels only at extra-cost (£1 but still…)
The place is clean the rooms very very small we had 2 suitcases + 2 carry on bags and you could not move in the room unless you put the cases on the bed. Good location. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was all we needed for the start of the day.
Great place for a short break.
I have already stayed twice and will be back. Close to the train station, bus and Victoria Metro, excellent service and very good price. If you don't mind sharing room with more people it certainly is a good place.
Just returned from a 4 day trip to London we were very impressed with the Victoria inn, very clean, very modern and very helpful friendly staff. If we had anything to moan about it would be the breakfast room downstairs just not enough room. Every day we tried to get a table we even changed our times each day to see if that made any difference but no. Maybe a bigger room more tables is needed. We had to go without breakfast this morning as we just couldn't get in the breakfast room. However even with the little moan we will definitely stay at Victoria inn again.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Recently refurbished to a modern design, the staff were very helpful in this small hotel. Good value for money and a great location. Perfect for the tube and Victoria station. We were on the top floor: great view but room was certainly compact. Beds very comfortable. Tip: get down for your free continental breakfast EARLY. It's a small room and definitely a squeeze when it's busy. Marks off for limited breakfast but overall experience was good and would definitely stay here again.
Nice place to chill with a good drink. The food also looked great but I didn't taste it as I wasn't hungry.
It's a excellent place to stay. Economic and very relaxing. Of you wanna stay in London and not expend a lot of money you will be be surprised how great Astor is it.
Great atmosphere and service. Very nice restaurant and personal care. Very hearty meal … really good at all levels.
First time I've been since the refit. They've done a really good job. The Uncle Buster private dining room in the back is a great addition. Staff were really friendly, great new wine list and a very solid Sunday roast.
As a whole it is a good hotel close to great links clean tidy structure great breakfast self service wonderful staff for me the best the guy at the reception evening service.
We are two girls in malaga and our valuation price-quality — atmosphere is excellent. It is close to victoria train station (airport gatwich) and victoria coach (airport stanterd) about a 15-minute walk away, the memorials to 20 minutes restaurant nearby ("taquitos" eat cheap and good), and especially if soys Spanish ERIC is a worker of the hostel that will solve all the problem in a second incredible, super friendly, attentive and very hospitable… thank you Eric …
Cheap hostel, centrally located and very welcoming, a stone's throw from the stations of Victoria and Pimlico.
Sink smaller than my hand, little space in the room and between the beds staff non-existent, incompetent, breakfast in the room by Adeeta with bag similar to that of Esselunga. The. Intercontinental Breakfast made up of brioches bought at the supermarket, tiny Apple, instant coffee and I do not add more.
Good relation price-quality. The hostel is located in the area of Victoria, close to Victoria station and easy access to several points of interest. The staff is attentive, although not all are friendly. The bathrooms could be a little more clean. The rooms are spacious, but if you get a room on the upper floors, there are several flights of stairs to climb with luggage.
My experience at the Astor Victoria London was excellent. Staff members were always available and the accommodations were clean and of moderate size. I definitely recommend that guests take advantage of the one pound breakfast. The food available was tasty and all proceeds are donated to support the local community. In fact the hostel was rather dedicated to establishing a sense of community with a big lounge space and various posted events available for guests. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Astor Victoria and would recommend this hostel to other travellers.
The place is incredible. The only thing I did not like much was that the kitchen was always dirty but after all perfect.
Very small bathrooms and very small pieces. The worst of the toilets look like a plane.
Great hotel. Nice rooms great showers lovely breakfast. All staff very nice, polite and helpful. No parking but knew this before we arrived. Would recommend to anyone.
After a well needed makeover the Victoria pub is back. The food is good again… it had not been for a while. They have a great selection of beers & wine as well as a very good revamped menu. And finally — a lunch menu! With the refurbishment and new furnishings — this pub has a welcomed new lease on life.
Terrible experience. Staff Cold rooms. Breakfast room inadequate to the number of guests (you have to wait for someone to get up in a narrow hallway in the middle of the current) we lay a pitiful veil on the breakfast. They put us in a ground floor room next to the safety exit and on returning from our day of tour the entrance was blocked by mattresses, bed parts, chairs crammed like in a warehouse and when I made resignations because my husband blind Had more difficulty than us to accdere to the room I was answered so annoyed that later they would move something, that could not do anything. So I had to move things by myself that obstructed our passage and the lady was also offended. Of course because for almost 900 pounds for 4 nights it was normal for them that wait who knows how much the arrival of someone who moved the furniture. For the unfortunate guests who were staying on other floors, elevator not usable. Cleaning absent. I would not recommend it and would not go back even if it was the only one available. Only one thing: pretty comfortable location.
A very expensive "hotel". The services are very bad. Breakfast. For nothing advisable.
The place has gone down hill. Moved to Peckham just over a year ago and have brought friends and family to eat here several times. Today's experience has made me not want to come or bring anyone else again. The service is slow and unwelcoming. The decor is getting shabby with torn fabric on the seats, paint falling off the ceiling, toilets smell and seats not screwed on. Food was very dissapointing. Pork was tough, vegetables were non existent, rocket on the salad had insect holes all over it and was so sparse there wasn't much point putting it on the plate. Really sad. Not sure what's happened to the place!
A listed hotel as 3 star that in Spain we would give him one or it would be like a hostel, the location is good.
Great atmosphere and afine selection of ales typed off with incredible food AND children welcome until around half seven. Thoroughly recommended. (… oh yeah, and there's a foosball table! )
We stayed at the Victoria Inn London overnight following a family birthday in victoria, London. The bed was comfortable with the option of a firm or soft pillow. We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening and the food was very good (both adult and children’s) and good sized portions.
Used the hotel upstairs to accommodate some overseas guests. Reasonable prices and good service. The room itself was adequate, just a few small niggles like, a light was not working in the hallway which made getting into the room a needlessly tiresome experience (fumbling with keys to find the lock). Would happily use them again without hesitation.
Very very bad place to stay in and employees very very bad manners and not friendly. Somewhere I would not recommend to stay in. I also saw a large rat running around which put me off staying any longer.
This pub on Bellenden Road is awesome and very welcoming. The attentive staff are always on the bar and you never have to wait more than a minute even on busy nights. The staff are all friendly and Good banter.
Great local eatery. Solid favourites to eat and a few interesting draft beers. Sometimes a bit difficult to get served at the bar and attract the waiting staffs attention.
Decent selection of beers with a large indoor seating area. Standard pub menu for lunch and good enough quality. Atmosphere is laid back with young crowd and friendly staff.
Room was clean, spacious and contained everything I needed including desk, bathroom, and hairdryer. Very well located between Victoria and Pimlico stations.
I wholeheartedly recommend to avoid eating in this place. Me and two friends sat to eat and, while the service was polite, the food was overpriced and tasteless. It felt like badly cooked, Tesco-level ready meals, priced 300% up. The beetroot cured salmon starter was essentialy badly cut slamon on 4 pieces of lettuce, with miniscule quantities of even worse tasting dressings, all for the price of £7. My main felt slightly better, as far as paper-tasting meat slices go. Avoid.
I wish we had spent more time in the hotel Victoria in London — it is gorgeously decorated & very comfortable room especially the bed and bath. The few times we interacted with staff in passing was very pleasant.
The Victoria in London hotel is ten minutes walkable distance from victoria station. The staff was very attentive and extremely friendly. The room was of great standard and lovely touches as always.
I should probably give this 3* by my own standards, but overall the comforting feeling about this place bumps it up. The reason why it's really a 3? The ale choice is limited to 2 high ABV offerings. The food, all reheated is pretty bland really, main and desert, and the presentation of both was just a bit boring. Not enough veg. Heavy water marks on the ceiling too. But I rather like the place. It's comfortable, light, easy going and the sort of impression of a pub that I like. Friendly staff. So go. I think aesthetically it's got it, the food and drink just so let it down a bit.
Victoria inn is the great hotel with great ambiance. I love the bathroom and the marble. The service is excellent.
Decent food and good service. Recommend booking a table if planning on eating there on a Friday or Saturday night.
We went last Sunday as they have a kids play room with CCTV. The room could do with a little TLC and possibly remove the table tennis so younger kids can run around. Roast is top notch!
Nice Decor and food is good! Friendly staff and lovely location on quieter end of peckham.
Hostel good Breakfast, but a strange shower.
Good food. Very family friendly, and if you head on a Sunday you will see buggies everywhere (although the layout of the pub, with a defined front and back, helps). A staple of Bellenden Road. Very popular.
Everything is fine. The room is clean and the service is good. Solid, but nothing special. The free breakfast lacks variety.
Literally don't know how they are still in business. "Children's room" is FILTHY and neglected; staff are rude; and prices are exhorbitant. With the area on the up, thank goodness there are several other better options (especially Trio who really knows how to cater for young families). I will never return.
We spent 4 nights at the Victoria Inn. Excellent location within walking distance to victoria station in central London. This was a lovely pleasant room. The staffs are very friendly and will help you in every aspect. The accommodation was what you would expect for a budget hotel.
Always painful to get served. The staff on a couple of occasions spend all their energy finding their next tequila shot…
I spend a night at Victoria Inn. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped. The staffs were great very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel in central London for the location, 2mins walk to Waterloo Underground station and Train station.
My wife and I stayed Victoria Inn London for 2 nights. It is a great location, within easy walking distance of victoria station. Breakfast at this place was actually really good! Staff very friendly. The bedroom was exceptionally clean and the bed so comfortable.
We Stayed victoria Inn London for four days in May. Its location, steps from Oxford Street and royal Albert hall is superb. The staff was very helpful. Good value for the money. The bedroom was nicely appointed.
I stayed Victoria Inn London for one night as I was attending a wedding nearby. The advantage is that the location is near Belgravia London and price is reasonable. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean.
We Stayed Victoria Inn London for 2 nights. Great price, convenient location, and comfortable beds. Close to Brixton Academy, 5 minutes' walk to the London Eye. The staffs were brilliant. They were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Stayed at Victoria Inn London one night when visiting London to see London eye. Room was clean and adequate, very comfy beds. This was one of the cheap and reasonable hotels in victoria London. Would recommend for short stay only.
I booked this Victoria Inn London hotel months ago for my daughter`s 18th birthday trip to London. Good location for the royal Albert hall. Room and shower clean and pleasant. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent service. I would defiantly stay there again.
Had a lovely stay at Victoria inn London Hotel. Very helpful staff lovely room with very comfortable bed. Really nice budget accommodation hotel in Victoria London. Breakfast good, beds comfy in Victoria London.
Stayed for 1 night Victoria inn London Hotel. Fantastic location, next to royal Albert hall and only a few minutes’ walk from a Victoria Station. The room was huge, comfortable and had everything I needed. One of the best hostels in London Victoria. Would defiantly recommend it and go back to the same hotel.
Simple and very clean hotel. The rooms are small, but satisfactory. Wifi is included in the price of the room. The breakfast buffet was very good. Victoria inn hotel is one of the best hotels in London Victoria, very well placed near Victoria station.
Stayed Victoria Inn London Hotel in London Victoria for three nights in November. The hotel room was a decent size and a reasonable price with all the amenities (air conditioning, TV, etc. ).
This place does some really good food — big portions and in general a really exciting men. We got the mackerel and salmon skewer, and pulled pork. Couldn't finish either, and waitress was more than happy to wrap it up for us to take home. Great atmosphere in this place as well.
Popular amongst hipster types, with ample parking for single speed bikes out front. Food was prepared to a high standard and service was friendly. Recommended.
We stayed at the victoria inn, for four days, a cute and cozy, and above all clean with towels, excellent breakfast, great location at 800 metres from London victoria station, very convenient bus 24, almost in front of the hotel, which leads to panilag where you can spend the evenings and being able to eat at a good price.
It's nice to have such a friendly pub for a local, we enjoy coming here on a Friday eve and sitting in the big comfy chairs. The Victoria is quite pricey though, probably the most expensive in the area which does put me off slightly but the atmosphere inside almost makes up for it. (Most of) The bar staff are friendly and quick to take your order — although it's never quite clear if its table service or order at the bar, it seems to change weekly — as do the times of the kitchen! It seems perfect for parents though as they have a child's play area with cameras in so I'm guessing you can just dump them in there and watch them play whilst having a quiet drink, everyones a winner.
Disappointing. Cheddar-cheese and spinach hot dog unsavoury in look and taste. Aubergine burger was pureed and covered in breadcrumbs. Surely an aubergine slice is the perfect shape for a bun without having to blend it? Not cheap either. Nice beer though. Maybe the other stuff on the menu is better.
Went there again yesterday and was as pleased as the first time. Great roasts (althoigh on the expensive side), good sevice and relaxed atmosphere. The previous occasion I had beef and chorizo lasgne which was amazing. We'll be back.
Nice gastro-pub. Very nice atmosphere and a well sorted menu. If you go, I reckon to go on sunday and try the sunday roasts!
Clean but old hotel, rooms more than super small, friendly staff, breakfast.?, not yoghurts, biscuits, sausage, cereal if not, if bread, kneaded super croassants (for dipping in milk) jam, coffee, juice in pitcher, rolls open in half with a lonchita of cheese, which then he likes to eat cheese and leaves bread, by what would be most practical place the cheese on a platter.
Score? If the maximum is 5, I give it a 2, and if the maximum is 10 say that it approves for the minimum, personally I don't think again.
The breakfast offerings are substantial and good. You can be as private, or as outgoing as you choose. I would rather stay at the Victoria Inn than in any high-end, luxury hotel you can name.
Tv not working properly, card opening doors not working. Reception sent me back up 3 times before fixing the card. Wifi costs 10 pounds/24 hours. No uk to eu plugs either.
Great location, you get what you pay for. Top knotch.
I absolutely adore this pub. It's gorgeous, cosy and they have a resident yappy dog. Single best thing has to be the food. The breaded halloumi is my favourite bar snack ever and the beef & chorizo lasagne will kil you with cheese, but in a good way. Everything I've tried, down to the chips with aioli mayo has been delicious. Staff are lovely too, and there's an inn upstairs should you want to stay even longer.
I stayed at the hotel Victoria Inn for 4 nights to make a visit to the city of London, which he prepared at holid Olympics. It is located very close to the Metro station of Mahan and is pretty close to Victoria station and at the Bus Terminal. The street where the hotel is located, Belgrave Road, is full of hotels and is very quiet. The hotel lobby has a modern interior and friendly. The hotel reception is available 24 hours on 24. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was a bit small, but nice. We booked a twin room. The bathroom was in the cabin, but very clean. The rest of the room was pretty clean. Breakfast is served in a small room, but it was good and fairly complete.

RespondThis place is terrible. Firstly, the lift was broken (not mentioned on the website) and the reception area was completely unaccessible, so we had to carry some considerable luggage up the staircase. There were exposed wires everywhere in the halls. The bed was like a slab of stone. It was only after getting extra blankets and laying them under the sheets that we could sleep and wake up the next morning NOT feeling crippled. What we WERE woken up by was the sound of workmen hammering away at around 8am every morning. We received stained towels that we KNEW had come from a pile we had on the floor. One new towel we had gotten had a pubic hair on it. We had booked 4 nights online and when we got to the hotel (before seeing all the problems) we booked a fifth night. We asked reception on the third night of our stay for a refund on our fifth night only, and they said we'd have to email the manager. We asked reception for the managers' phone number and they refused. The manager neglected to answer our complaint-laden message. When we finally got through to the manager to complain, she threatened to call the police on us for complaining too loudly. They flatly refused to give us a refund but since we simply could not stand to stay another night in the abject squalor we endured, we has to accept the loss. Save yourself the back pain and headache and stay in the Central House hotel a block away.

RespondVery shabby, the floor was dirty, the Wallpaper on the ceiling was hanging down and the cupboards were dirty, the stuff from the previous guests were still lying in a drawer!. The beds were clean and new related. The abgebilderte rooms in the hotel description is certainly not in this run-down hut. For the bathroom only once Sagrotran buy and disinfect everything so you can use it. The drain of the shower was clogged, but it was after the complaint repaired. If you are in the morning to late showers a lot of Fun, the water is ice cold. The Breakfast had a dirty table in a shabby little room to eat. Otherwise, there is no other lounge — even no reception. Our advice — never there, spend the night, not even for free. The Positive reviews can only the owner to come, otherwise they are not to explain.

Beware if you want any kind of comfort and to be treated with self respect AVOID this hotel. Upon entering the hotel I was not given a warm welcome. The man at the front desk didn't introduce himself nor did he inform me about the facilities such as breakfast timings or Wi-Fi access.
I asked him to help with my bags, in which he carried for a second then when I got in the elevator he said that I could manage it myself.
I requested to get two mugs, one mug that he gave me was used and had tea marks all over it, which I returned to him. I had to have my room changed twice as the basin in the bathroom was clogged and overflowed with water. However the second room had the same issue with the basin.
The second room I received smelt pungent of alcohol, I asked for that room to be changed but the staff blatantly told me no and that he's already changed the room once.
The duvet I received as well as the pillow covers were stained with black marks.
The shower was mouldy and had orange marks all over the floor.
The toilet is not fit to use not even a child can fit through the gap.
The locks on the doors don't work, you are unable to lock the door from the inside. This is not advertised on their website. So children and females avoid for your own safety.
The landline phone I was given dosent work, therefore, when I needed assistance I had to come downstairs to the reception.
