The hotel demanded an extra charge of 4 dollars because I wanted to pay by credit card! I had to pay in advance on arrival. My room was in the basement. It smelled quite muddy, certainly also because the window was just above the ground and could not be opened very far. The curtains hung down and the upholstery bed was spotty.
The room service did not clean the bathroom or the bed. Only the garbage can was emptied and a used towel was removed.
At least bed linen and towels were clean.

Staff are helpful, rooms are clean and tidy. Facilities are basic but very good value for money. Very close to two tube stations and across the road from a co-op.

Close to London, basic accommodation. Bed, TV, wardrobe, bathroom, really all you need, so close to Public transport and plenty of food options nearby. If you are on holidays in London it's not as though you are spending much time in your room, it's just a place to sleep and this the job perfectly and is good value for money.

The building is run down, but my room was in a good condition. It was in a separate building. No sound insulation, could here 2-3 neighbouring rooms and people entering the building, talking on the hallway. Neighbourhood is dodgy, very few places to eat or buy food. There is a COOP across the street.

Was stayed in this hotel on 13 and 14th April. The hotel was ok, you'll definitely get what you've paid, but in very positive definition! The Hotel Owner was very kind: he gives very pleasant service to us! He helped me a bit during check-out, since we got many luggage to carry. Many people said about the food, well actually for what you've paid, that's more than enough. We got choices of sereal, toast, fruits, eggs, butter, and cheese to cook on ourself in the kitchen. There are also several selection of yea (Earl Grey, Breakfast, etc), instant coffee, and also fresh milk for us to have! Accessibility is very great: you got bus stop in front of the hotel, ready to takes you to city center. Also, DLR is available very next to our hotel. You won't get this experience elsewhere. All in all, very nice hotel! Looking forward to see you!

First impression… regular, second… bad!
The hotel was dirty, the walls bored and stained, the beds seemed to have been used, the floor depends on where you will sound the wood, a lot of dust in the room, the carpet better not comment… in short the cleanliness shines by his absence.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Good things: close to the subway and the DLR.
The gas station in front of the hotel is open 24h being cheap.

Great location, good cleaning servicie, and kitchen available. The size of the room and the decoration are not the best… But was confortable.

AWFUL — If I could score this hotel zero, I would. Holes in the towels. Bed looked as if someone had slept in it when we checked in, room looked thrown together. Very very noisy from the road outside. A lot of noise from inside the hotel also, you can hear anyone walking on the stairs or talking downstairs. The rooms are tiny. Also, when I was walking from the bathroom to the room, there was a strip of wood holding the carpet down, which had nails sticking out that were not hammered in correctly… The nail went straight into my heel stapping me, I had to go to the doctor to get a tetanus injection. The only good this was it is right between two train stations… but there are other hotel, nicer hotels, so pay a little extra and enjoy you trip to London and not end up at the doctor like I did. Review: Awful.

The prices are very cheap compared to the rest of London. Altho, it is, what you pay is what you get.

Very dirty hotel! I strongly advise against it. Old carpet everywhere, sauce stains and others on the walls, 1 cm dust, curtains that does not close, furniture so old it has yellowed, broken shower and patched, dirty and broken mirror, unpleasant staff, poor quality bedding and filled Hair, shower and WC in 2 square meters.
In short, unsanitary.

The hotel is old and gives look of dirty poor and crappy for a hotel of that price and that location from the point of view of what we have in Spain. Window and furniture broken, reception crappy and without an attention too friendly. Brown carpet from 30 years ago. Although from what we have been told, in London all are so… For putting something good, the location is fine, at 20/30 minutes from the center by Metro with two line stops close by and Light Metro. The beds are comfortable and it was hot, and that snowed.

Tiny rooms, squeeky doors and stairs waking you up. It's clean though.

Worst hotel experience ever! The attitude of the staff at reception was the worst. They were most of the time rude and not friendly. Reception is empty during the evening and early morning, they're not easy to reach. Furthermore, they are not aware of their facilities; such as electricity, heater and the hair dryers. At one morning, we woke up in a very cold room. The heater was not working, we were hardly warmed up later on that day. It was a very bad experience. I don't know if it's intended or not but they probably do something with the facilities during the night to lower the usage and expenses. You have to borrow a mobile hair dryer from the reception every time you need it. Sometimes, they give you a broken one. I had a discussion with one of the receptionist on that matter. He blamed us on having multiple hair dryers (which we always brought back after borrowing) and breaking them. He even blamed and convicted us on not using the dryer properly like we're idiot. It turned out the electricity of the room on the sockets were tripped and he's not even checking this before throwing rude blames. So we woke up in a room without any electricity, phones were not charged, lamp was not working, hair dryer was not working. The room and the hotel was in general not clean. The bed seems ok but for all other, you can see all dirt and dust. To conclude, it was my worst experience ever in lots of countries I visited. I wish I never booked this hotel.

It's very good, You get what you pay for. The prise equals the expections.

Room was full of flies. Breakfast was terrible, they even ask you to do your own dishes. The only coffee they have is disgusting instant coffee. View was of an alley full of trash. Stay somewhere else.

Budget hotel. Very decent.

The hotel was awful, the bed felt like no mattress, just some wood under sheet, I wake up after 2h hours sleep like after someone was beating me up all night. Why I slept only 2 hours, as windows there was banging so loud it was keep making me jump… we checked out before time, as we couldn't stand being there. Staff was awkward as well…

Polite staff, very helpful, clean hotel, I had a kitchen in my room, where there were cooking ingredients and pots and pans.

This hotel is in an ideal location if your visiting East London for work or be it studies. Its a spits distance from the overground train and just 2 minutes walk from bow underground station. There's a fantastic mall just 10 minutes by train and an ATM literally at the doorstep. Above all its on the main Street which makes it safe. My room was clean and cozy and well kept after though the TV didn't work. The manager was very kind and made sure I had a comfortable stay. One of the room service staff seemed to think he was a gangster and asked me to rudely to hurry my departure as I had overstayed 15 minutes past check out — but asides from this my overall stay was above expectations. To make it clear they have a kitchen where you can cook your own breakfast and then clean your own dishes. For a 2-star hotel, I would award it 4 stars on Google. For people taking the PLAB course at Samson Academy, I highly recommend staying here.

Great location, cheap and well maintained. Modest, without pomp and propiretari not very hospitable.

Location is good and handy but hotel itself is very standard.

Very basic no thrills what so ever but free Wi-Fi. Area is very bleak and the bars at the windows are somewhat disconcerting.

5 stars. For price, clean, friendly and confy beds. If u work away and need a ceap place to stay in london. This is great. We been to loads of places were rubish. This is a good hotel for the price. Small rooms but clean, worm and the beds are confortable.

London on a budget: Easy going staff, cheap and clean no frills hotel.

Good value for money (compared to London)
The rooms are small, the toilet too, but are very clean! In addition if you are lucky enough that you touch one of the upper rear rooms, you will have a spectacular view of the skyline of London.

Yes it was OK but they changed 3 times 4 nights rooms and moved them even our business without us prevent. The staff is absolutely not welcoming and friendly.
In short it was OK what but nothing more.

For that price, little things to expect. But cleaning really leaves something to be desired. It's cheap and it's in decent location. Don't expect absolutely more.

Nothing special, but for the price relative to others I have to say I liked it. Its by the train station, but I couldn't hear a train at all even though our windows looked right onto it. 2 minute walk from Subway. Don't expect a palace. Probably too much stairs for the elderly.

Wow, what a horrible experiance, They lied about there policy and charged me 3 nights for just a one night stay. Staying there was dirty, very loud and with uncomfortable beds. For there subpar contentental breakfast you even have to wash your own dishes.

To be London, has good quality, style hostel conveniently located in zone 2, and that is to value it.

Rooms small, but very clean. Quality / price: 7.

I can't give better then good because the showers were hard to get even temperature and preassure from. To get to our room we had to go outside and in again on the back and up alot of stairs. But still, it was worth it.

The best and cheapest place I ever been.
