Had soo much luggage 🧳 with me when I checked into the hotel 🏨 was very stressful with this until the helpful staff helped me and my partner and my members of staffs carry all our luggage into our suites rooms. the bar is amazing and the food was delicious I can’t thank the staff enough for making us feel welcomed. The rooms are beautiful and the customer service is 10/10. I’m here till Sunday and I’m already panicking as I don’t want to leave here this Sunday. Having so much fun 🤩 the meals were 1st class service everything about this place is 10/10 for everything. Shame im leaving Sunday. Im very comfortable in this place the staff members of this place will go long way for you to grab anything you need. Would highly recommend anyone to try out this place! We Stayed back in January during some covid restrictions and had a lovely time. It Was booked as a surprise and we had an amazing night. The spa was lovely and the views from the sauna were unbelievable. The staff were welcoming and nothing was too much for them. The hotel was clean, safe and just mesmerising. Our only disappointment was that the bar couldn’t get us a seat for the evening for a drink despite the reception team trying on our behalf and even they seemed shocked there was no room for in house guests. Other than this the stay was lovely and we would love to come back.

I always spend my birthday at the Shard. And love the feeling of being up on the clouds. There were a few hiccups as with life… but the staff are incredibly attentive, kind and sincere — to sort matters out immediately. The Shard holds a a special place on my heart and I love it 🧡

What an amazing place to stay to celebrate a milestone birthday, the room which we were upgraded as a gift to was lovely, the birthday cake was su h a nice little touch, the views were breathtaking, the food was better than I'd expected & all the staff went above & beyond to cater to our every need. OK the prices were a bit steep but hey its not everyday you get to be real life princess for the night I would definitely stay again.

Came here for my 60th birthday and stayed a night. Greeted by James Wilson guest relations manager. He was superb, extremely helpful, curtious and made the whole booking in process enjoyable showing us to our room which was absolutely lovely. The views are amazing. Thank you James!.

Seriously flawless. Only come for drinks before or after dinner, the menu is definitely a lounge feel not a full dinner menu. They open up the pool area for the view at 9, and it’s incredible.

I bought a night’s stay here for my Dad’s 60th and from beginning to end they made it a fabulous experience! The room had stunning views and my parents told me they had a wonderful night’s sleep. They even left a gorgeous slice of cake with Happy Birthday written for my Dad which was a lovely surprise for him. My parents were raving about the breakfast and very much loved the Chinese / Cantonese selection. All in all, wonderful and attentive service from staff and thank you for making them feel so special!

Another amazing stay here for our 3 year anniversary. Staff couldn’t do enough, room and view were unreal, can’t wait to stay again. Would like to see more vegan options on the menu next time but other than that a perfect stay!

Stayed here on business on June, and was blown away by the service. Definitely the best hotel I’ve experienced in London in terms of service. Shaden (from the front desk) went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Room service were very accommodating to my dietary requirements. The rooms were also a great in terms of size and cleanliness.

Amazing restaurant with incredible views over London. Pricey but very good food. Need to book in advance and hope they give you a good table, although if its a special occasion they do make the effort to give you a table with a view… Thanks for the complimentary birthday sweets…!

Although the greet, the room and the view were amazing, the overall experience of the Shangri-la was on par with a Premier Inn! The meal at the Aqua Shard was less than acceptable and this mornings breakfast didn’t reach our expectations either. The coffee was lukewarm, the explanation regarding the Al a Carte breakfast was confusing, two specific orders were wrong and we even had to grab a waiter for a glass of orange juice! We’ve stayed at The Ritz, The Waldorf and The Savoy and even though the £700 per night charge was on a par with these other hotels, the lasting memory of the place will absolutely stop me from ever visiting again. Such a disappointing shame.

Great hotel. Our room was very nice, big for London city, the bathroom was nice. All the amenities you would want in the room. The gym was very small though with limited equipment. Pool was good. Definitely visit the bar on 52nd — on the expensive side but can't beat the views. If you go for afternoon tea, make sure you make a reservation.

We had a lovely stay here for our first wedding anniversary back in 2016. The room was gorgeous with many amenities including a Japanese toilet and a TV screen in the bathroom mirror. The view was breathtaking and the bathroom is also placed so that you have a city view from the bath/shower. Would highly recommend.

Very easy to get to on the tube. Room was amazing, great view, very comfy bed. Even had binoculars to look out on the skyline. Service was great too, anything we needed was there for us.

Shangri-la hotel is an absolute must. We have just got back from our third stay at the hotel and yet again it was an incredible experience. Although our room this time did not have the best of views, I was extremely pleased to of been given a bath tub upon request as I was recovering from surgery. The room was lovely bar a little party going on above our room that was a little noisy but it wasn’t too much of an issue. Staff are always happy to help in anyway and make you feel special. For dinner we ate at oblix. We have eaten many places and dine out regularly all over the uk and oblix has to be the most exquisite food I have ever tasted. It is an absolute must if staying in the shard or London. The bbq blackened cod and crispy squid is to die and has left me salavating 24hrs later. Amazing hotel and restaurant. Booked to come back for the end of June for our anniversary, SUPER excited! Left feeling like a princess.

Have stayed here a few times in the last few years but only now thought to write a review. Overall a great place to stay in while in London. Rooms are well appointed, location convenient to public transport, awesome views and lovely service. Pool on top is a nice amenity too. What I like most about staying here is the ease of entertaining guests and visitors at the various dining options. The view alone leaves everyone satisfied. Tip 1: smaller breakfast can be had at Lang downstairs vs. At Ting Tip 2: rooms are non standard size and layouts so always a surprise what you get. Rooms do get smaller the higher up you go. Your choice really between size vs view but it took a few tries to come up with favorites. Tough to go wrong.

Just lovely. It was my wife's 40. We had a great time, it is an experience and everything from the welcome to being shown to your table, to serving the food (and the food) and wine is exquisite. The view is just stunning. You pay for it all, but it is worth it.

Best dinner I've had in ages. Great service, impeccable food. Particularly the scallops. Wine pairings were okay but not great next time I would of just ordered of the a la cart menu.

An amazing hotel. The great detail paid in every respect is wonderful. Staff are attentive and cannot do enough to help. The food was delicious, as we're the unusual drinks available in the bar. The room was made even nicer with the small touches such as binoculars and a torch. The beds were a delight and extremely comfortable.

Excellent service throughout. Attention to detail is fantastic. Prices… Well its one of the most luxurious 5* hotels in one of the most expensive cities in earth. Worth it for the views though.

People who say you're basically paying for the view are right but there is a lot more to it than that. But that is very worth it. This is a city people travel across the other side of the planet to see, and you'll have the best view of it. A great hotel, great baths, facilities, food and all the rest of it. You'll really get the upper class vibe in here. The staff are so helpful, waiters, chefs, concierge and everyone do very good at their roles.

Very classy design, stylish décor, brilliant view over London.

The views at the hotel of course are fantastic but the hotel itself is just ok. The drinks at the bar were extremely expensive and the breakfast of two portions of eggs Benedict for my wife and I with a flat white and tea £56. It was well presented but has what can only be described as a tiny amount of ham and the eggs were cold. We returned from a great Dinner at Hestons Dinner at the Mandarin Oriental to only find we were rushed to take one drink at midnight and could not get anything else. Really really poor service in my view for such an expensive hotel being and overnight guest. I think it is extremely unlikely we will return again when there is so many better London hotels that offer better value, service and ambience.

Hotel located in the Shard skyscraper with spectacular views over London. The structure with walls consisting predominantly of stained glass enhances this aspect. Room, furnishings, common parts all of a high standard. Good breakfast The location (close enough to the Tower Bridge) is convenient for getting around in the centre.

Very fancy spot but you pay a lot basically for the view. Food at the Ting restaurant was fine but not amazing (the fillet steak is not certainly not special enough to warrant the price tag). The ambience was good and all felt very luxurious but I wouldn't rush back.

Went for drinks at Gong, which has some lovely cocktails but a very small selection of average beers. The gorgeous views of London were well worth the cost of the drinks and we had great service, would definitely go again.

Located near London Bridge, the view from the hotel are breathtaking. On a clear day you can see for miles around, it is stunning. Rooms are nice, with modern decor and spacious surroundings. The staff are amazing, going above and beyond to ensure that everything you want and need is available.

Superb facilities, the room was excellent and the staff could not have more genuinely helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much, unbeatable and unforgettable views. Must be experienced, brilliant in every way.

This was our second visit to The Shangri-La. Last visit we stayed in the Iconic room-fantastic 180 degree views of the Thames, Tower Bridge and beyond with equal view from the bathroom. This visit we picked the Iconic Suite thinking that the upgrade would mean equally great views but a larger room. We were wrong. View was not great, mostly looking over train tracks. No view at all from the bathroom which had no windows and they may say the room is bigger as it is separated into the lounge and bedroom areas but it just felt enclosed and smaller. Something else I noted too is that they've changed the bath robes from a lovely kimono style to the usual waffle ones which barely cover your modesty if you're not a size 10. Other hotels double up on shower gel etc but here you get the bare minimum-a bit stingy when we were paying £1100 for the room. It also took them 40 minutes to get our luggage to the room and we had already waited in the Gong bar for the room to be ready. As others have said there were problems with the lifts. Very annoying when you're trying to get somewhere. A plus point are the staff-they're very approachable. All in all it was a bit disappointing compared to last time. This was an anniversary treat and it didn't feel as special as it could have done.

A visit to the toilet of the hotel's "Gong Bar" to experience automation beyond your wildest dreams is a real "must"on any visit. As also are the superb views N and E out over the River Thames and London beyond : and also those views E, SE and S from the adjacent fitness gym. But beware! — the bar has a minimum spend per person so check that out before you go.

Spectacular views and amazing service, couldn't have asked for more! I took my girlfriend there for afternoon tea as a surprise for her birthday, she absolutely loved it. Everything was perfect, will definitely be going back. A huge thanks to the staff who made it extra special. They were very friendly, professional and attentive at all times.

Stayed on the 48th floor with a spectacular view of the Thames and Tower Bridge. Could see for miles across London! Room was to a very high standard with comfortable bed. Swimming pool was a nice size with 1.3 metre depth and just the right temperature with the hot weather of Tuesday. Breakfast was delicious Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Simply amazing! I walked in on Saturday afternoon, it wasn't busy just a few other guest. I've visited the shard a few times however this was my first time at the Lang. I went alone and the girls who were working there : Sofia and Christina made me fell so welcome and comfortable. I ordered the chicken sandwich and a bottle of champagne with a cup of elderflower (I like to mix the two together). Everything came quick sharp the food was fantastic and the champagne was even better. The restaurant was very clean kept, the only downside is the fact there was only 1 toilet form men and women the share — however given the size of the restaurant I could understand. It's fairly small. I say outside as it was a lovely day I stayed for so long I didn't realise they were closing, the girls were so sweet and didn't rush me just waited until I was finished and ready to leave. I would highly recommend this place if you're ever near London Bridge and don't fancy the noise of being inside the shard. Perfect for: a day time date Tea with the girls Coffee and cake before work Lunch time business meetings.

Right in front: Despite the only 3 stars of us, the Shangri-La London is still recommended. The view is stunning and the booking is already worth it alone. Unfortunately, however, the management did not allow us to accept any error for all Star categories. Our premier room was part of a suite. The two rooms of the suite were connected with a really lousy soundproof door without an additional lock. And since the hotel rented our neighbouring room at the same time for a company event, due to the volume of sleep was not to think. With all the love. This is profit optimization at the expense of the guests and absolutely sad in this price range. The hotel offered an upgrade but we did not. Because we wanted to sleep, not rein. So unfortunately only 3 stars. Our recommendation is that a room with no connecting door is passed when booking. Then everything is good. The breakfast buffet is quite good, but the price is not really worth it. The service was very good.

My absolute favorite of all that I have ever been! (and there were already some 5-star hotels! ) Can you be addicted to a hotel? I've spent a lot of money on the Shangri La London and there's no end in sight! 5 times I was already there, in just under 1, 5 years!
The reception is on the 35 floor. The rooms between 36 and 51. The pool on the 52 floor.
You have a phenomenal view of London! The city is at your feet!
But also the rooms are fantastic! The beds so nice high, the bed linen very high quality, the care products dreamlike (Acqua di Parma), Nespresso machine, kettle, tea, fruit platter, abundant still free water, welcome jasmine tea, binoculars, fluffy carpet, in the Marmorad a TV in the mirror Integrated, in the room of course still one, large ground-level rain shower, toilet with water-from-downstairs cleaning, large cupboard/chest of drawers/luggage rack.
and also the service could not be better! It is really tempting to fulfill all your wishes before you pronounce them!
The pool has such a nice atmosphere! And also the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired!
A stay at the Shangri La is an absolute experience!
You may not leave the hotel to visit London…

It is a fascinating restaurant first because of its location and the panorama it offers. It is exciting to sit and eat looking at the panorama that is beautiful where you can see London summarized. The waiters are very well trained and very communicative as with the customers. Its menu is very varied and delicious. Inviting you back again.

The hotel is amazing top class right in the heart of London, from the rooms you can see a large part of London. At night the skyline looks amazing. The rooms have everything you need, I needed an Ethernet cable and it was right in the room. The staff are very helpful. Definitely would like to go again.

I never went inside The Shard but the exterior looks very cool. Around The Shard are restaurants and I have eaten in one of them. But The Shard just looks very cool. Maybe next time I can see what's inside it so I can give more information about this cool looking tower.

We would definitely recommend Aquashard for a Roald Dahl 100 themed afternoon tea. From the edible menu to the cleverly thought of edible delicacies it was a very well thought out theme. We had a choice of strawberry and cream tea, or hot chocolate to drink. The scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam was divine. The Twits chicken pie tasted amazing and Matildas favourite salmon and cream cheese sandwiches were delicious. It was a wonderful experience with restaurant windows decorated with all the childhood favourite characters from the authors books. It was a delightful prelude to an evening at the theatre to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Visited The View From The Shard — Excellent experience! This viewing tower gives you the opportunity to see many of London's sights and landmarks from high above. Photo opportunities at every corner… However the 'Green Screen' photos that are sold by the operators of the viewing platform are quite overpriced in my opinion. There is a small bar where you can purchase hot and cold drinks on the open-air viewing platform. The second viewing platform (open-air) is quite an experience as you are exposed to the elements via gaps in the 'shards' of glass that make up the structure. The first viewing platform is perfect for getting lots of pictures of the beautiful view through the large, clean panels of glass. The lift that takes you up to The View From The Shard takes you upwards and downwards in less than a minute. Your time spent on the viewing platforms is *not* limited so feel free to take your time! The shop located at the base of the shard sells memorabilia such as postcards, toys and souvenirs, as well as informative books about the architecture of The Shard. Not too expensive depending on what you choose to purchase. The guide book costs around £10. I highly recommend this excellent experience — a must-see on any visit to London.

My mother and I went to the Shard on a coach trip for my 60 th belated birthday treat! You walk up a few steps where there is the ticket office, toilets, souvenir shop and airport like security. We were given a hand set to use but I didn't use it because there were no seats to sit on and listen to it. You then get a lift to level 33 and change to another lift to floor 66. You then take a flight of steps to the first viewing station — wow — it was amazing! You can walk round at your leisure and take photos with no one rushing you. There are a few signs saying what views you are looking at but I personally don't think enough! There was a bar selling hot drinks and snacks and champagne for those who can afford it! You then go up a few more floors to the next viewing station which was more amazing because there was more natural light as part of the roof is open! Again there was no rush you could just take your time. There is a gift shop just below this floor too! The whole experience was brilliant! We spent about 2 hours there. I don't particularly like heights but I didn't feel nervous at all standing right up to the glass all that way up! It was good being able to see the structure of it close up too!

Didn't stay at the hotel went to the bar for dinner and drinks. Superb location, amazing views of London in all directions (even from the loo) if you don't have a problem with heights, get a table close to the window to really enjoy the complete splendour of this venue. Staff are friendly and attentive, wonderful service. Expect to drop some cash, even if you're only planning on going for a couple of drinks.

UK's tallest building and the views from there is just amazing. Try to go around twilight to enjoy the view before and after sunset and see how London lights up to leave you awe struck. I found the prices bit on higher sidd but if you look around you might get a good deal.

The hotel rooms are amazing, the views are stunning and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The toilet seat warmers and TV in the bathroom were perfect. I didn't close my blind because I didn't want to miss a second. I just loved everything about the hotel.

Oh here's an idea, lets give the staff some perks but oh no you can't use them if it's its Friday Saturday or Sunday. Because they value their customers paying full price, than staff who make the place run. Tis not ones fault if our days off are on the weekend, can't even bloody treat my friends. Pathetic way to treat the staff!

Really nice views. If you are not a West it last one and a half hour. Service is very good and friendly. You opt for a windows table and that is magic ID you have never been on a 52 floor. Nice views of Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

The location was fantastic with amazing views. Our room was brilliant as was the service. I was impressed with the experience so much that I'd like to see more of the location, are and restaurants. Will be coming back.

I stayed here on the 8th January 2016 — this was my 50th birthday surprise. There is nothing I could fault. The iconic room view was superb, the dinner in the restaurant was high standard and the service from all the staff was excellent. However it was the personal touch that made for a memorable occasion, the personal birthday message and cake left in our room and the birthday 'petit fours' after the meal with happy birthday and birthday wishes from all of the staff.
