Helpful, friendly staff. Having a EV charging point in the small underground carpark was a surprise bonus.

Very convenient for Central London.

I’ve been here a few times. Obviously, at the moment, there are processes to go through, but the lady at the desk was extremely helpful. I was checked in very quickly, and efficiently.
The room is good, and the shower very hot, but in a good way. There is no better way to wash away the grime.
Unfortunately the bar facilities were out of action, but we have used them before, and it has always been a pleasant experience.

Stayed for two nights 19 and 20 October. Rooms Clean and comfy Staff were excellent and breakfast very good. The location of this hotel for visiting London is superb, you can walk into the sights in no time st all. Definitely will stay here again when visiting London again.

I have had multiple stays at this hotel and each it’s always a pleasure to meet someone new on the front desk. Actually I’ve never been served by the same person twice so always someone new to get to know. I had the pleasure of being upgraded to a refurbished room, 502 and it's lovely. The rooms are good and functional, Possibly not every room is marvellous but if you really don’t like a room go down and discuss it it with one of the new faces on the front desk and ask to ch…ange. I did this one time as I didn’t want first floor main road side, but they were able to move me to 501 a superb room. I should say though there’s triple glazing so noise really isn’t an issue. Though if you are sensitive to mild noise and vibration then ensure you ask for a room at the rear of the hotel. The rooms have block out curtains, and one of my favourite things which I have only found at Holiday Inn Express hotels, a blue night light in the bathroom. Though I discovered on this trip the new refurbished rooms didn’t have this lovely extra little touch, but I carry my own, as I stay in so many hotels I sometimes get disoriented at night so it helps. It’s best you join IHG rewards program for free, to book the cheapest rate and put your room preference in your profile. The airco is great and keeps the room an ambient temp, the room was perfectly warm and the bedding duvets and pillows are very soft, lush and comfortable.

Price performance and location for London is top. Breakfast is typical English, but sufficient. I highly recommend it for excursions in London.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The location is great, there is so much on your doorstep. The hotel is spotless, the beds are comfortable, breakfast is lovely and the staff are faultless. It maybe a city centre hotel but you will enjoy the attentive service of a country retreat. I have twenty years hotel experience and this hotel has hospitality at its very core. Enjoy.

Very nice and patient staff. Very good value for money and excellent service offers. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a good breakfast buffet. Perfect for business trips, but also for tourists.

Stayed there only for one night but it was very good. Spacious room which was very clean I must admit. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good too which has a selection of yogurts, pastries, fruits as well as hot bacon, sausages and beans.

Staff at the top but too noisy.

Budget class stay. Actually the best side is room arrangement — clear, nice bed, decent selection of pillows, comfortable desk, additional sofa, iron. Bathroom with reliable shower. Weakest is breakfast — poor selection, flat drink, only semi-skimmed milk. No gym, no spa, no pool, no bar. Conclusion: choose for short stay if you care mainly for place to sleep and refresh.

Nice hotel in the heart of London. Near many of the famous attractions. Small rooms but clean and up to date. Missed a minibar. The staff was very friendly.

The hotel is exactly what you’d expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Good location that’s only a short walk from some of London attractions such as London Eye, Big Ben, etc. Small but efficiently laid-out and clean rooms, comfortable bed — met our basic needs for a quick trip in London. What made our stay memorable was the exceptional service we received from the front desk man, Essien. He went above and beyond to ensure a smooth check out, help us with our bags, and assist us with an Uber driver who got lost coming to hotel. He was helpful, friendly, and professional.

Good place to stay in London. The rooms are clean and the bath is enough. It was my 3rd time on a business travel there. I loved the central place, you find in the near diverse opportunities for lunch or dinner and it is amazing to walk through the streets. The service of the hotel is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is okay, but not more. Some more options for the toast or bread and vegetables or fruits would be great.

Stayed there for two nights over Easter. Room was clean, surprisingly quiet, but small, we were in a corner room. Overpriced for such room, had really small space for hanging clothes. (plus side there is iron and ironing board) Breakfast limited as it is express and I guess there is standards, make sure you arrive early for breakfast as they will start to clear out. There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel, but we had delivery. Good location, close to Tube (subway).

Great hotel, in a great location. There was an issue checking into the room. We had to wait 90 minutes for it to be cleaned and set up for us. We were compensated with drinks vouchers and extra reward points. Staff were apologetic and helpful.

Nice place Free breakfast. Free Wi-Fi. Login with your mail id else you can't access most site. Talk to reception. If you book online it's cheaper. If it from company it's more cheaper. Else u have to pay a lot. It ranges from 95 to 300 pounds for single room Nice friendly reception… No water bottle or palace to get it. You need to drink from bathroom or get water bottle from near Tesco. Which most Indians doesn't like.

What most guta me is that the temperature of the room you can put it to your liking, at least in the new, something for my essential for what whopping I am.

A really very well located, modern, clean hotel. We needed a 15 — 20 minute walk from London Bridge station to the hotel. We had problems with our room on the first night (loud because right next to the AC technology room) where we were quickly helped and we were able to move to it at night. The rooms are stylishly furnished and breakfast is good. There is the possibility to take it with you (bags are ready). But the possibility of the Café to go at breakfast was best. There's always quite a lot going on at the front desk, which is why you should allow a certain wait. Baggage can be stored free of charge.

The staff are exceptionally good. Very helpful. I was to check out 10 am but they extended till my cab arrived 12.30 am. Rooms are great. Buffet breakfast is first class. Bathrooms are spacious (I got a room where it has special facilities) I suppose other rooms are equall great.
However I wasn't able to watch premier league football live since the channels are not provided. The costs are exorbitant average of £200 daily for 2 weeks!

Clean rooms. Good location. Not too expensive. Downside was remodeling going on. Also the rooms were rather small (compared to US Holiday Inn Expresses) and looked worn. The linen where clean and all it just seemed like the place would have needed a little work.

Very well located, close to 2 metro stations and within walking distance of important city attractions. The attention at the reception is very warm, siemprebuscan help and give good advice.

Friendly warm welcome from reception on arrival. Usual standard of room. Breakfast buffet with range of food including takeaway coffee. Short walk to South Bank. Under going works as of Aug 2017 but this had no impact on stay.

The hotel is undergoing renovation, however, we had booked double rooms and we got given twin rooms. They were clean and tidy, no complaints with the condition of the actual rooms themselves, however they were not the rooms we booked. The room was pretty cold and the air-conditioning doesn't heat up. Nowhere in the room does it say that you have to use the radiator for heat and the air-conditioning unit for cold air. Breakfast was fine. Scrambled eggs were runny, but they are in most hotels I've found. Service was good though. No problems there at all. Good staff let down by poor facilities.

For me travelling from Greece on business, this hotel could not have been in a better location. The beds are very comfortable and to say that the hotel is situated on a busy main road my room at the side was surprisingly quiet. I think I had the best 3 nights' sleep I have had in ages!
The staff were obliging and whilst I did have a problem with a noisy radiator, the evening receptionist responded to my call within 2 minutes.
Breakfast was very good although a fruit cocktail would have been a nice touch and Hazel in the breakfast room was a breath of fresh air. Having tea and coffee facilities in reception 24/7 as well as the room was a bonus.
I would definitely stay here again.

From here you can easily and quickly reach the main attractions of central London. Walk with walks along the Thames and admire the beauty of the various buildings.

It's a great hotel for metro convenience but it is a little bit away from London city. In saying this we would never have discovered the Emirates Air Line Cable Cars if we weren't booked in here and that is a worthwhile ride to experience. The rooms are clean and the housekeeping staff clean your rooms daily (5 nights here). Breakfast is a little under average with not a lot in fresh fruit choices (mandarin & grapefruit segments only). Bacon a little undercooked. Beds are comfortable and even though the rooms are a little small, the are comfortable. If we come back to London again this would be an option for us to stay. I think this area will be wonderful when all of the projects are finished and it's quiet even though the train station is across the road as well as the City Airport! Thanks Holiday Inn!

Rooms smelt damp and old; I could not stand being in the room! When speaking with the hotel staff their only answer was "I understand, sorry we cannot do anything about it"… hence I am never coming back to this hotel. The ONLY redeeming factor was the Awesome customer service provided by Maciel :)

Not a good place to stay. Nothing around the area, you'll need to catch the underground. Terrible breakfast and forget about using the lift… Don't stay here.

Excellent and overall a great stay. Booked a room as 2 adults and 1 child and had to make the sofa bed up ourselves but other than that it was great. Breakfast was brilliant too, lovely sausages. Overall a very good stay and would return if in the area again.

The hotel is bastaste well, the big room, with tea making facilities and a hairdryer. The staff very friendly.

I stayed at this hotel and found it to be really special. Great location to explore Central London, bus stop at 100 metres, 10 minute walk to metro, rooms were spotless and staff at this hotel really nice and professional. Vist the reception girl Laura who was very courteous and good at giving us important information in Italian.

I stayed from 3 to September 10, 2015, with family, and found a beautiful hotel, staff friendly and helpful and the room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast excellent both in quality and in abundance. Excellent location, just 5 minutes from the Metro and the beautiful along the Thames which leads to BIG BEN. I highly recommend it.

Location is excellent for visiting south bank area. Plenty of good dining nearby. Prices in bar are not so good. Local pub would be better choice.

After a long day in London we were tired and ready for bed alas the hotel had other ideas at around half ten the phone went at which point we got a garbled and rushed message to pack our bags and get out. Entering reception with two sleepy children we found no staff coordinating a hotel being evacuated purely a long line of people at reception and lots of rumours about a gas leak. Now at this point the hotel were doing there best, they managed the situation appallingly yet they tried very hard and managed to get us into another hotel, however when you wake people up and tell them to get out you should give more information and first and foremost make your guests safe not have them wait in a potentially gas filled building whilst you get your act together. The other hotel did not have a family room as we had booked however it was getting late we were tired and had to be up early the next day so I slept on the floor with my wife and kids in the bed not ideal but the best we were going to get at this point. We booked two nights at the holiday inn and were told that two nights were booked at the new hotel which they were initially however after the first night and at some point during the middle of the next day they decided that this deal was no longer going to be offered and without contacting ourselves phoned the new hotel direct and cancelled our room for the night, we only found this out when our key card didn't work.

Might be fine if you had no where else to go and you just needed a bed as that's all you get with the high price per night. No fridge or microwave in the room and the internet cuts out every 5 minutes if you can ever get it to connect. Hot water is spotty at best, during a 10 min shower half the time it will be cold. Can't even get an iron for my room for more than half a day because I guess they only have 1… Would not recommend this hotel to a single person.

We had a problem with booking, because of a problem with the wholesaler and the staff of this hotel helped us a lot. Especially the receptionists who spoke Spanish. I recommend it without hesitation. If we are sure that we repeat site.

Stayed here on Friday 21st for one night. Check in was fine. Room was clean and comfortable bed with selection of pillows, no problem there. My issue was in the morning. The breakfast was mediocre at best. Pale, tastless sausage, scrambled egg with a nice skin forming on the top and lukewarm beans. When you're competing with other 'budget' hotels that can do a full buffet breakfast for £8.00, it was a very poor effort. The worst part was a young lady, who I assume was part of the kitchen staff, who whilst I was trying to walk to the counter, walked straight at me, aiming for a gap that wasn't. Just rude and not what I'd expect hotel staff to be like. Holiday Inn certainly not going to be my first choice in future.

Probably the best hotel ive been to. The room is very nice. Has a TV with lots of channels, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are really nice. There are even fluorescent night lights. In the morning they serve a well balanced breakfast and they have computers for you to access the internet.

Perfect location. Short taxi ride to Soho, London Eye and other attractions. Rooms were very clean plus free Wifi.

The room is too small for the cost, it just a bed space and you just have small walk out space, there are no wardrobes or enough hangers to hang your clothes. The microwave is kept in the reception and you have to get permission each and every time you use it. There was no power on one of the nights from Evening 5 PM till 11:30 PM when called the reception they say in 30 minutes it will be fixed but it was not the case. The staffs are rude and dont know how to behave polite. I was staying in a twin bedroom and when I asked for double bedroom they gave me Single Bedroom which is too small. The Breakfast is same menu all day. Not good for the money you pay.

Hotel current with a high price. Situation respect to the center very good, clean and very good attention from the staff. Buffet scarce and little varied.

At a great location and with a okay standard, this hotel is way overpriced considering the breakfeast is just edible. During my three night stay I had the displeasure to experience a false fire alarm every morning. It's triggered by anyone taking a hot shower for too long according to the staff, and I couldn't sleep fully due to that. There is also pretty bad sound isolation, so bring your earplugs or even better: choose another hotel.

Great location for a sightseeing trip of London. Breakfast is good, nice selection. Room is basic but neat and tidy, with enough room for our large suitcases. The only thing I would ask for, would be the addition of a small fridge. Staff are friendly.

The room cleaning staff took away stuff from my room. Front desk staff can not understand English. They also denied me use of Air Conditioning in the room saying they need to save operating costs. Left the windows in the room open. With all the construction activity around the hotel there was dust in my room every day. Management of the hotel did not compensate me for my loss and passed the blame on to poor house keeping staff for all the problems. Do not trust reviews on Holiday Inn website. They censored my review on their website.

Correct hotel, a little low perhaps the breakfast buffet, but also correct. Among the staff there are several who speak Spanish (including a woman from Extremadura), so there has not been any problems and they even helped me to manage the loss of an oyster card to recover the balance. Not shown in Google Maps, but Blackfriars underground station has an entrance near the hotel (on the same side of the river), to access the platform across a covered bridge parallel to the tracks. It is also the side stop RV1 bus that leads to Covent Garden on one side and the bridge of London and the Tower on the other.

I stayed in that hotel in august, 2011 and I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast it´s very good for the european standard. It had a lot of options. The room was comfortable, big one with a good bathroom. The only thing I have to complain was the air conditioner that was not working properly during the London Summer. But considering I´m Brazilian, it was comfortable.
