This hotel is perfect for anyone seeking a comfortable stay in London with quick connections to the city center and many other attractions in the area. We recommend taking the Emirates Air Line (which you can walk to from the hotel) over the Thames for a stroll through Greenwich Park. Perfectly accommodating of a fancy with small children and a dog. The service is outstanding with children's and dog beds included in the price.

Recent stay while attending concert in Hyde Park. Out of town but good connections via DLR and Jubilee line with change at Canning Town. Rooms spacious with comfortable beds. Staff very friendly in our experience. Has a youthful vibe with staff attire smart casual. Emirates cable car a pleasant walk away for a good value attraction. Worth a visit to Greenwich as well.

Hotel comfortable quiet rooms and breakfast OK.

Honestly absolutely lovely place. My main issue was the restaurant staff were frequently rude and uninterested — not something I normally care about but the food was hugely overpriced and a tip was auto added to our bill. Oh and the eggs for breakfast were uncooked. I say this with a heavy heart as the rest of the place is beyond gorgeous. I genuinely wish I had only nice things to say as the rest of the staff were absolutely delightful, the live acts they had on the terrace were amazing and the pool was lovely. Just the restaurant that ruined it for me.

This Hotel is in a modern style with a strong focus on design. Comparable to a W-branded hotel (double u). It is easily accessible by Metro DLR in about 15 minutes from downtown (for the London Metro Council the Citymap app). While being located near the airport City London you are not disturbed by planes. The Lounge Bar is open until midnight (at least during the week). There Is a swimming pool.

Good hotel with direct connection to Excel and direct connection to DRL. The journey to the city centre takes about 30 minutes with DRL and Tube. London City Airport is just a two-stop bus stop away, or can be reached on foot in 15 minutes.

Ideal location, public transportation is easily accessible. The only thing is that there are no microwaves in the room or in the hotel and fridge is really small. The bed is super comfy and the design of the entire hotel is chic and inviting.

Very nice modern yet luxurious hotel rooms. Staff very helpful. You get access to the pool and gym at no extra cost. Wi-Fi included. Decent soap provided. However, check in procedures are convoluted and not welcome after what is normally a long day at work. Bar and food is great but very expensive (as expected when 100m from ExCeL door). Water saving shower certainly does its bit for the environment but you need to spend 3 times longer in there to feel properly washed. Overall very good.

Great hotel 1 minute from Excel London exhibition centre. Just one step to it! Great if you are attending an event there. Comfortable room, great shower, with everyday water bottle, good buffet breakfast. And good environment at night at the coffe pub bar.

We booked as part of a theatres package. Wow what a lovely place, the rooms are immaculate all new and very modern. Twin rooms with large beds and the usual TV etc. Beautiful bathroom and wash area and wardrobe connected. Fresh coffee and take away cups (great idea but perhaps we needed more than 2 milks between us) Fabulous breakfast and I was amazed they had vegetarian sausage a treat as I usually have to make do with toast and cereal. A great selection in a very relaxed environment, we spent longer than intended but enjoyed the relaxed morning before our sightseeing. The staff where fabulous and very helpful. We didn’t use the bar or the swimming pool but it looked amazing. Although a little far out we are used to using the Dlr/tube so we didn’t mind as the Prince Regent is literally 1 minute away if you come off the tube and turn right to the Excel bit go down the steps. One small issue was the lighting was out to the entrance which we found a little scary being to women travellers. Bit would highly recommend and we will definitely use again.

Very lovely staff and accommodating as I am currently pregnant and they gave us a room next to the lift to save me using four flights of stairs. Rooms are very modern, clean and comfortable. Had a great night's sleep (much needed) and amazing variety of foods on the breakfast menu. Will definitely come again!

Awesome conference center. Easy to reach with public transportation, the location is big and offers many rooms/theaters to host events. There is a good choice of food inside also.

Really lovely hotel. Prime location for excel centre and DLR station. Completely sound proof so no sounds of the trains. Helpful staff.

Beautiful hotel! Rooms are very spacious and bright, and the bed Is the comfiest I have ever slept in. On the other hand, I was really upset about the closed pool/sauna/steam room. I wanted a relaxing weekend break and didn’t get to experience that. I wish the hotel had noted the maintenance works online so I could have stayed elsewhere.

Great location, incredibly comfortable room and helpful staff. Even our dog thoroughly enjoyed his stay! Definitely recommend.

Great, a superb attention and very good hotel, room comfortable large bed and a wonderful, if I go back to London I will not hesitate to repeat.

The hotel is very good and the rooms are very spacious. The bed was very comfy, the bathroom was also spacious and well structured. One wall of the bathroom was made of glass however, so it would have been quite uncomfortable to share the room with a colleague, however. The location is great if you’re visiting a conference at the Excel. For everything else, it’s quite inconvenient as the subway ride to the center of London is about 40 min.

The location is very accessible, it's about a 100m walk from the nearest tube line. It's near London City Airport but during my 3 night stay I barely noticed the planes. Getting into central London is easy, and can be done with with only one change. There is a gym and pool, both are clean, tidy and well maintained. The staff members I have talked to have all been very polite and welcoming. I've not tried the food yet, but the restaurant does look good! My room was very spacious, clean, and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and there was ample desk space for working, along with a fridge to keep my drinks cool. Can't fault the place at all!

Clean and professional, better than the aloft hotels I've stayed at in the US. The shuttle to Canary wharf in the morning runs every 15 minutes and can fill up but you can book at the beginning of the week. Evenings are easier but only run every 30 minutes. The public subway is quick; prince regent station is easily reached from the second floor of the hotel (one minute walk). A bit confusing with the transfers but the one you use to get to the hotel is the one going towards beckon. Staff are nice and the gym is what you'd expect of a gym hotel. Overall a good experience and easy if you are working in Canary wharf, while not too bad to get to central London.

A great hotel next to excel exhibition center and dlr station. Convenient to city airport and emirates sky ride. They have 2 bars, restaurants and a quick food area in lobby. Great value for cost, rooms are clean and quiet. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

The rooms and hotel are absurdly beautiful. Perfect all around. Nice pool, friendly staff, convenient location right on the prince regent stop for the tube. My only complaint is the hotel restaurant. The food is over priced for the quality, the cuts of meat weren't great or cooked as you would expect for that price. The same goes for the cocktails, poorly put together for the price that you have to pay for them. All in all I'd gladly stay at any of the Aloft hotels again, an in house restaurant is nice but the rest of the benefits of this place well out number the downfall of the food.

I've stayed here a few times and will choose Aloft if a good deal is on offer as it has spacious, stylish rooms and great pool, spa and gym. Good atmosphere and eating, try the home-made chips! I do wish they'd fix the door closers as the walls shake when other guests enter their rooms! I wish their maintenance team would visit Crowne Plaza on the Other side of Excel to learn how to adjust doors so they close quietly. Great hotel but take earplugs.

Good comfortable hotel, all conditions for people with disabilities, good beds, works koedicioner, there is a TV, the Truth One channel in Russian. Near the hotel near the metro. The only minus is there is no where to dry things postiranye, and from a shower cabin from a floor flows water in a corridor, it is necessary to prop up a towel.

We stayed for 2 nights. Aloft is a lovely hotel. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff were very friendly. Really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the bar is lovely too. And it's a perfect location to get around London. We got the Emirates cable line which was just about 15mins walk away through the excel arena. It was a very lovely stay.

I've enjoyed regular stays here over the years. Clearly aimed at millennials, the decor and building are fun and playful. It's a bit of a slog to get to from central London but that has its advantages; a quiet location and swimming pool. A good option if you're visiting the O2. Staff are always helpful and will to assist if required. Rates are pretty competitive most nights.

Modern and welcoming hotel with a medium-sized spa. The breakfast concept takes getting used to, but you get fed up amazingly. The direct connection to DLR makes it easy to connect you to public transport. The City airport around the corner was not perceived by us as disruptive. The exhibition centre (Excel) is right next to the hotel (you share the DLR station). Clear recommendation.

Couldn't be better placed for events at Excel. Didn't eat here apart from the sandwiches and pizza available from the reception shop. Pricey during trade shows but same everywhere in the area.

Do not stay here. They are racist. I recently stayed here for 4 nights on a business trip and it was the worst experience ever at a hotel. I spoke with hotel manager and nothing was done. I have the duty manager on video recording being rude and nasty, and racist! Beware.

Sadly a good property allowed to go to seed in its short life. The first manager was great and oversaw a super property. Since the change from the "startup" management team, the second manager has overseen a descent into what proved chaotic in my final stays. After a stay of 10 nights where for 8 nights in a row the sheets didn't actually fit the bed (and on top of a litany of other minor errors in previous stays as well as this one), I gave up. This hotel is very very much a blot on the SPG landscape and to be entirely avoided — well unless you enjoy a disorganised, sometimes unclean, entirely unacceptable level of room service and a management that doesn't seem to care about regular customers. Staff on reception have in the past also been extremely haphazard — many are wonderful, a few are singularly incapable and downright rude. I am sorry to feel forced to post this review but all attempts at dealing with SPG have clearly failed. When the management changes, this will probably be worth staying in again but in the meanwhile, do beware. I would personally give this hotel zero stars but Google demands at least one — a property repeatedly incapable on multiple stays of even making a bed doesn't deserve any imho.

Comfortable quiet hotel. Front desk staff very welcoming. Not a lot around it. Bar closed at midnight; bar staff very gruff about serving anyone in the 20 minutes preceding that.

This is a very good hotel, very modern and comfortable guest rooms. The gym and swimming pool are great. Nine o'clock next to the train station, if you want to go to the city center, very convenient. Environment is quiet. Staff are very friendly, no room service, however, somewhat disappointed.

Aloft London was a great place to stay. The rooms were a good size and very comfortable. The hotel is located very conveniently close to the DLR and so travelling to central London was simple. The staff were friendly and the breakfast offered a nice choice of foods.

Hotel is very modern with a unique fun design. The communal areas, reception area and dining room are clean, spacious with friendly staff. The bedroom was large with a king size bed, walkin shower and large. Deco was tastful and modern and have even provided safe, iron and ironing board. The hotel also has a gym and pool and as for location it is actually attached to Excel and very short distance from Prince Regent Docklands railway. We loved it and will be back!

About time someone did something different! huge spacious room, with a proper dressing area with large mirrors which meant my girlfriend was happy! Pool is lovely as is the steam room and sauna, and we were the only people in there the whole time. The excel centre is open pretty much all of the time so you can just walk through and the DLR at prince regent is less than a minutes walk! Stay here, get the emirates airline to the O2 and see a different side to London!

Stay on August 20. The rooms are spacious and Nice, a pity that there is no bath. As well as a string of movies or series in french. Here it was that of the info. This isn't my favorite hotel among those visited in europe. Most metro on the square (it gives a little printing be defence in paris). It's clean. There is a gym with cardio, a sauna, a hammam and a heated pool. Service of this part side nothing wrong. However the staff does not want to have breakfast at home. Ditto to hospitality, it's mechanical and cold. It is safety that welcomes you because you want to make a photo of the hotel. Really weird. Makes no effort to talk about the french or just a Hello or goodbye. I wouldn't go back, it of better for similar prices.

Great hotel stayed there and travelled to o2 docklands railway.

Was very unimpressed with the service during my stay. Booked many months in advance and on arrival was told was fully booked so the room I had reserved was not available, to which there was little option to rectify. Ended up in a king sized room with an air bed rather than a twin. I had to then go back to reception to ask about the breakfast arrangements which should of been included in my stay. Staff were generally very short and unhelpful, which was completely opposite to what I would expect from such an establishment. By the end of my stay I didn't have the energy to complain and all I wanted to do was get home. The only real upside was the closeness to the tube stations and the Excel centre where I was attending the May Comic Con. All in all to me, not worth what I paid. I had a much better experience in the previous year where I stayed at a 3 star hotel in West Ham and walked to the Excel.

CAN'T FAULT IT! GREAT rooms, restaurant AND staff! One tip. Ask for a higher floor on "water side". enjoy.

We've just gotten back from being overseas, but we stayed at Aloft London Excel for 11 nights. I have to say, I was worried when I realised it was near an airport, but that being said, I think we heard 3 planes the whole time we were there, so it was no problems. The food for breakfast is great and does get a bit the same after a while, but has a bit of a variation for you to pick and choose from. Overall, I thought it was worth the price.

Set up in a modern way, you can recommend it to go ahead with a study.

I stayed at this hotel from 30.11.2013 at 2.12.2013. Very modern, very clean, equipped with mineral water, coffee, tea, coffee, Chamomile tea (all free! ), also damped at the point is impossible to notice that there are passing convoys of light rail and London City Airport. Great staff and metro on the doorstep. Huge breakfast and competitive price for a 4-star structure, not to mention the indoor pool open until 23 h 00, and gym. 24. Recommended highly.
