Very unfriendly housekeeping team who did not make you feel welcome at all. Romanian was there first langauage and English was mine so communication was difficult felt very Isolated and have never felt so uncomfortable in life more so that I actually would never go back to this hotel.

Great price to quality, would recommend! Rooms small but nice looking and clean. Only minus is if you get room on the lower floors, as you hear the underground and also the rooms next doors. Service is impeccable though and very accommodating.

We stayed at the Z Hotel Shoreditch and we had the best time. The staff are amazing, extremely helpful, generous and very welcoming. Our stay at the Z Hotel made our long weekend in London the most memorable and enjoyable holiday we have ever had. Big thanks to Arantxa, Ricardo and Rosa for looking after us so well. I will tell all my family and friends to stay here when they come to London. The hotel is top class, breakfast fabulous rooms extremely clean and access to city ctr only 2stops way. Thank you all again so very much we will be back soon

Awesome hotel really well located and just what you need if only spending a few days in London. Rooms are REALLY small, so maybe consider getting something bigger if you are planing on staying longer than just a few days

Buyer beware. If you’re from the USA I suggest you read this! The rooms here are small. Smaller than a prison cell. Really. The room we were in was 60 square feet MAX. The toilet and shower were connected and the wall that “separated” them from the rest of the room touched the side of the entire bed — leaving like 2. 5 feet for you to climb on and off the bed from. To paint another picture: when you slept at night, your head was 4 feet from the toilet. These rooms are meant for only one person. If you’ve read this far and don’t seem worried, then just ask yourself if you’re somewhat claustrophobic. If the answer is yes, then open another tab and continue your search. Also, everything wired in the room was Wi-Fi based (AC, lights, etc) which seems cool except for when you’re trying to get ready and the lights and AC turn off suddenly. This happened every 20 minutes — even when we were asleep with the AC on. Don’t be fooled by the pictures, reviews and the price. 2+ people with more than 2 bags should probably look elsewhere to avoid the headache. Pros: really nice and attentive staff Clean hotel Nice lobby Central location Free wine and cheese for happy hour! Cons: Really, really, really small rooms Janky wireless hookup

Small rooms, but worth it for all the other amenities. Very modern hotel, clean. Friendly and professional staff. Nice wine and cheese pairings in lobby before we went out in the evenings. Great location near a tube station. We will be looking for a Z Hotel in the next city we stay in.

Noisy AC that struggles to cool the small rooms. No wardrobes, just hooks on the wall. No other clothes storage or shelving either. Translucent glass walls between bathroom and bedroom. Designer-esque it may be, but it's also a good example of how being trendy doesn't always lead to user-friendly and practical results.

The hotel was well located, near the underground and with bars and restaurants nearby. An easy walk to Spiral fields with loads of lovely food places to try. The rooms are well equipped and the bed quite comfy. The plumbing was a little loud in the night, but a small inconvenience. We enjoyed our stay.

Very well placed hotel, a few steps from the subway. Nice Deco in the lobby and the rooms that are just a little small… The water could also be hotter (personally I take them very hot). Apart from that the breakfast is very good and we love the happy hour wine and cheese in the early evening and the staff very welcoming. I recommend.

I hate giving negative reviews but this room was beyond small. Really really small, with structural iron girder which made the workable space even smaller. We paid extra for a room with a window. And didn't get one. When brought this to the receptions attention was met with a shoulder shrug and told to request a higher room next time. Never once did they offer to refund the extra paid. We are regular visitors to London, but will never stay here again.

Can't recommend this hotel. This was my worst hotel stay so far! The staff was rude to offensive and just didn't take me and my friend seriously. In addition, no collusion was adhered to. They only care about the money, once you have paid, you don't care, then they have the money. The worst hotel revice and the most outrageous staff I've ever seen. Even in the hostel you will be treated better!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Some of them Spaniards and helped us whenever they could. Our cistern broke down and one of them fixed us up in a moment. Everyday the bed made and new towels. Our room very cozy although somewhat cold because we had a window by our side. The water in the shower came out as hot as you wanted. Good area and well communicated thanks to the Metro. The food deal something expensive and the water they put in the room was not good. Otherwise it's all great.

Very modern hotel in a great location. Right next to an underground station you are very quick at the well-known sights. There are nice pubs around the hotel. However, the rooms are really very small, but modern. There is no box or storage space and two people cannot move around the room at the same time, hence a star deduction.

A great hotel for the budget shopper, though be warned that the rooms are very small! If you're fine with that, then it's a great modern feel. Note that this is the bare necessities, but there are things like an iron you can ask for that the desk brings up to you. The only reason we didn't mark it as a 5 star was because we had leaking shower issues, but the entire bathroom was capable of getting wet with no ramifications, so it didn't ruin anything, just was an annoyance.

The room was very modern, contrary to most English rooms. Even though the room was very small (choice), it didn't lack any comforts. I really loved the "Coffee in a Bag', they provided us with in our room. Between 5pm and 8pm there was always free wine, cheese and other nice food. The personnel was really kind, they were from around the globe, but all spoke English well enough. It was quite handy that it is positioned this close to the metro station. Beautiful area.

This was the most racist hotel staff I have ever encountered. They were rude, inconsiderate, and did not make us feel welcome in their establishment. My manager and I (both black women) stayed 5 days; costing a significant amount of money. During our stay, our room smelled horrible. We complained countless times and never received any accommodation until the day before leaving (we were given air freshener that didn't get rid of the pungent odor). We asked for another room and they didn't move us. Housekeeping waited two days to clean our room after we repeatedly asked them to clean it. When we did ask them for minimal things (like soap, towels, etc) the staff was reluctant and had bad attitudes. Our guests (who were also black) were mistreated by staff. We were also accused of smoking by the manager. We NEVER smoked. Not once. She blamed us for the foul smell of the room, saying it smelled like smoke. The room smelled like decay or fecal matter. There was no chemical or artificial odor coming from our room. Not only did she have zero evidence supporting her claim, we volunteered to let her go through our room and belongings to prove we did not smoke in our room. After realizing we were right, she continued to try to justify her baseless accusations rather than apologizing. Immediately afterward we asked her to leave our room and she belittles us, exclaiming "I am the manager!

Okay, it's an interesting hotel. It has all mod cons — full Sky TV, touch screen lighting and heat controls, air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, high speed internet and complimentary wine on arrival. So far so good. But, there is a catch. The room is tiny. Think of a small room, then half it, half it again. Yes, it's that small. You REALLY have to like the person you are staying with. Also, the bathroom has a frosted glass partition, which is more or less see through. This is a disturbing modern trend… Please, please, please, hotel people, can you find it in your hearts to bring back good, sturdy, old fashioned walls? Lots of love, Jack. X

Nice little hotel in great London neighbourhood. Rooms are a little small (which is quite typical for London hotels) but is very modern and cozy, our room was in the basement and we could even hear the underground distantly (not loud enough to disturb us). Staff were nice and they even offered a free wine and cheese bar. Rooms also had a kettle with teas, coffee and hot chocolate. We were really impressed, only complaint is the bathroom was a little too small, but a minor issue. We will likely return here next time we are in London, the Old street area is great.

Comfortable, well-furnished rooms, big comfy bed and TV, directly at the exit of Old Street tube station (take subway 4), and great service! If there one thing I would wish for, it would be a small fridge which my room didn't have. Perfect base to explore London from :)

No issues with noise and very modern. The Americano coffee in the morning is the best I've ever tasted. — Not from the machine, ask them to make you one. ;-)

Clean modern rooms, plenty of space for me and my partner and they also offered amazing extras such as sky TV, dimmable lights and courtesy coffee and tea at the bedside, the service was friendly and 24/7. The only downside was our room was located right next to the reception and cafe so we could hear a bit of talking and walking but I wouldn't let that ruin my overall opinion. We are definitely coming here again on our next visit! :)
