For a business trip, the location is quite a dream, for leisure — also: Shoreditch and Hoxton areas. Both are yummy, arty, and vibrant.
The hotel looks brand new and feels like an old pal because of great staff.

Be careful when you ask for a room with window… you could find a room with works outside and no view.

This place has no saving graces whatsoever. Small, claustrophobic, filthy rooms with the corridors between them just as bad. I don’t know if there is a minimum standard for hotels but it certainly wouldn’t reach it if there was.

I wish I had read the reviews before booking. Save yourself money, frustration, possibly disease… the room was FILTHY… phlegm in the sink, black hairs all over the bed. It was a cold box. The man on reception was AWFUL, didn't deal with our complaints, on inspecting the room (after asking us for photographic proof — really!?!? ) when seeing filthy hairy bed said 'well it was cleaned' not very freaking well! disgusting… no apology… £125 down… honestly you couldn't pay me to stay in it. Also provided incorrect details for a customer complaint so I could request a refund.

Really not as bad as I was expecting based on the reviews! I can't give more than 3 stars as it is very shabby and missing a lot of the basics. I wouldn't have been very happy to stay more than one night and would have been really disappointed if I'd booked it for as part of a holiday, but for work travel — it'll do! Pros — price and location, there are two plugs right next to the bed, check in and check out quick and easy, my room was clean and the temperature was not too warm (on a fairly hot day) Cons — no free Wi-Fi, no breakfast, I chose a room with a window but it looked directly into an office building so I had to keep the blinds closed, the bathroom is tiny and hard to move around in, no bedside table or shelf, something in the room made a weird creaking noise that I couldn't identify.

For four weeks I’ve sent numerous emails without a response and have been phoning at least four or five time a day without a single answer.

A basic hotel at a decent price (decent as per London's expensive standard). The room was very tidy and we had a good experience speaking with the staff. Would definitely stay here on my next visit.

Hotel is what you expect if you need somewhere reliable and affordable to stay, would only recommend one night as the beds are basic and the rooms are not furnished aside from bathrooms, beds, and a mirror and clothes hanger. Located quite close to St Pancras, about 30 minutes walk away or.

Clean but minimalist! Towel, bed, shower, toilet. Don't expect anything more (Not even a table or coat hook).

One star is generous… upon arrival I entered what I thought was a downmarket youth hostel… Given the rate of £110 I wasn’t expecting much, but worse was to come … I progressed to my room and was rather shocked to find myself in a windowless cubicle showing obvious signs of recent renovation… Hope burns eternal, and as I opened the door to the bathroom/shower I viewed the designated shower and toilet, only separated by a curtain. To my excitement I also noticed that I had been allocated the room with the disabled toilet and facilities. There was an emergency cord that I almost tugged in desperation but I was so fatigued from my travels I collapsed into bed… No way to control the A/C, so I had a fitful night while it switched off and on at random… Note they charge you for everything… I mean EVERYTHING… Wi-Fi, £5 per device… cleaning I think is £10… it’s a racket… Do NOT recommend…

It is a hotel for the night. Some rooms have no windows. We have a TV or wardrobe to hang anything. Does it have Wi-Fi and if you hire is per team and not per room. The location is good.

Very close to the Barbican. A very "easy" stay. If you're expecting somewhere with basic provisions, a bed and a shower you've found the right place. Cheap, cheerful and my second stay.

To see, nor can you expect much from a hotel in London, but this takes the cake… The bathroom seemed portable. Walls of plasterboard. I didn't even have a closet where to store clothes. You do not have free Wi-Fi, or store luggage free of charge, or coffee shop… nothing. If you want something basic, okey.

Advertised as a super budget hotel and in this it delivers entirely accurately. You'll have a room for the night — expect no more or less. The rooms are generally small, very poorly furnished (you'll have a bed with thin sheets and pillows) and a very small bathroom / toilet with mirror and basin. Some rooms have windows — some do not — it's luck of the draw which you get. However it can be cheap depending on the night of your stay and for a no frills experience and a room to sleep in for the night, it delivers. It's in easy walk of the local tube and transport networks and there's local food and drink options too.

Small room and OK. Not at all comfortable and still OK. But if the curtain is broken I'll tell you every day and you have it repaired after the fourth then you deserve one less star.
For the rest is very convenient considered where it is.

Taking into account the location and the time in which we have been in the hotel (only for sleeping) it is a spectacular site. Room with window, bed acceptable, and a bathroom just and necessary to our needs; shower, sink and toilet. There is to have zero expectations in this type of hostels and view reviews Online to get an idea. Excellent treatment and very good relation in quality-price.

My husband and I had an overnight stay as part of a weekend to celebrate a birthday. One of the reasons for selecting this hotel was its central London location which made it easier to get to the various dining venues we had booked. This hotel had been used before for a very brief London stopover, and there had not been an issue regarding value for money, cleanliness and service. We were allocated a room which had been adapted for disabled guests. The room was clean but very basic, with a double bed, large bathroom with a modified shower, wash basin and toilet. No refreshments or telephone to contact reception were available. Breakfast is not provided, but there is a drink and snack vending machine in the entrance lobby. The standard of service was good, the reception staff were friendly and helpful. We purchased a one day Wi-Fi voucher and used it on a mobile phone. When we tried to use the voucher on other devices we were unable to do so. When we queried this we were told that it was a single use voucher which had not been made clear verbally or on their displays. We also paid for a late checkout. Once we added up the cost of our stay whilst not expensive we may have chosen another hotel where these facilities would have been included at no extra cost.

I was greeted by Pooja, very kind and very helpful, although I was in advance immediately made available, location of the Hotel excellent, 5 minutes walk from the Metro. Clean and very nice Hotel. I recommend it.

Strategic location of the hotel a step away from the subway. Staff very helpful and ready to solve problems and needs of the customers with the smile! In particular to the reception in front desk Pooja. Advice for a good stay in London.

Tiny room with no window, in relation to the price. Good location.

Pros: 24h check-out negative: Room, bed, no sound insulation.

Awful! Rooms without windows, the — and end ventilation runs all day and night at an eerie volume which is insanely annoying! The bathroom, which actually resembles more of a wet cell is not ok. No toilet lid and NO clap brush! It smells uncannily aberrant on the floors of tipped disinfectants! The bed was ok and the miners nice and friendly!

Good value, but we didn't have any table in our room so we had to put everything on the floor. Room was small but clean. The location is close to Barbican underground, which makes going to the city center very easy.

If you want to live in an anti cellphone signals bunker, you have found the right place. There’s no kettle, no microwave or any basic comodity. Be prepare for a survival experience in your “prison cell”. Basic house maintenance skills is recommended, since we had fix the shower and the overflow in the drain. To be fair it was really cheap to live in a very well located area in London. Lets put this kindly, it’s a big overstatement to call that place a hotel…

Quiet place. Room very small, but suitable for a tourist trip or you only pass to the hotel to sleep. By cons overheated room and not possible to open the window, damage.

We already knew that the room was small and without windows, but there was no exhaust or ventilation or even in the bathroom. We showered at night and in the morning the mirror was still fogged and wet as if we finished to shower. Also smelled a lot of humidity and as we went to complain, the following nights when we arrived at the hotel we were with the air conditioning and a temperature of 16 º in the room.
Besides, the curtain was all full of black stains of mold and it was pretty disgusting to touch it.
If it had not been because we paid in advance we would have gone from there…
I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

Room without windows with a lot of humidity, the bathroom is quite better: the shower is the bathroom and the bathroom is the shower.
With the prices that London has is probably the only choice well placed for small pockets. If you go in a group, with about 6 people, it is more advisable another type of residence.
They charge you for taking care of a few hours of your suitcase when you finish the stay.
The staff deal was not bad though there were technical issues with the fire alarm which gave us some other scare a couple of nights.

I can imagine this is what George Orwell was thinking about when he wrote 1984, although his dystopian rooms had TVs where as the only communication you get in these rooms is from the gurgling pipes above your head. Or from people in the rooms next to you. The shower provided warm water in a barely there mist. They provide a suspicious blue cleaning fluid, should you want to cleanse yourself. If you're anything other than incredibly slim, be prepared to be hugged by the shower curtain. If you want to stay near Old Street station and want to feel like you are on the world's cheapest cruise ship, this is the place for you.

Hotel is located in the centre of the city and is optimally connected in terms of traffic. The nearest bus stop is just under 3 minutes and the nearest supermarket is a little 10 minutes within walking distance.
Tip: Google Maps offers good ways to navigate by public transport. ;)
The cleanliness is fine. For one person alone, the room is fine, the bathroom could be a number bigger. Storage areas are unfortunately missing. But frankly, it's fine for the price and compared to London conditions. You get what you pay. A bed and a "wet cell" — no more and no less. For meeting basic needs such as sleep and toilet passage, it's fine. Only the light-hearted rooms have bothered me a bit personally — conversations can usually be followed without any problems. At night, though, it was quiet.

You get just what you pay. I cannot therefore understand excessive expectations.

So bad things first: I think I may have drawn the short straw when I got a room in the centre of the hotel with no windows so it felt like I had been stuck in a tiny white box with only the grumbling of water pipes above me for company. That said, the bed wasn't bad. It was clean and whilst the shower was distinctively 'easy'Something in its feel, it worked. If you're looking for a stay for one night in central London and as long as you've got a comfy bed you're happy, then it could be for you. Function over form.

The most basic hotel I've ever stayed in. Probably the most basic hotel I could possibly conceive of. I arrived with a group of work colleagues to find a hotel delightfully decorated to mimic an EasyJet bathroom (who doesn't want that!? ). We booked rooms "with windows" (yes there are actually rooms without windows). We weren't expecting a great deal for £60 each per room, so upon arrival we tried to joke with the guy at reception asking which the best room was. His complete silence and refusal to answer the jokey question spoke volumes. What had we let ourselves in for? The rooms themselves contained (a) coat hanger, (b) a bed (bedding included) (c) a towel and (d) a plug socket. And NOTHING else. Not that there was really room for anything else. The 'bathroom' was so small that the sink, the shower and the toilet actually share the same space; there is genuinely no way to use the toilet without having to have your feet in the shower. Which is not ideal if you've just used the shower. The infamous "window" was tall and thin, and covered by a dirty, chronically broken blind. While getting ready to go out, I managed to wrestle the blind open only to find myself stood half-naked opposite 2 office workers staring back at me. The "view" is literally right into an active office building, and the distance between the two buildings could only be described as uncomfortably close. For the remainder of the stay, the blind stayed closed.

So I never saw anything like this:
A room without windows or any adjustable ventilation. It resembles a submarine, or more of a large dixiklo.
It's stuffy, warm, you don't have any cupboards or any form of coat hook. Everything is on the ground, where I am not sure when it was cleaned last time.
It may be a great price but bad unrecovered sleep for many nights? You also prefer to go camping and you are better off.
I strongly advise you from the hotel!

To sleep this well, but the room was very small and the bathroom even more. Had No service beds. Although the bed is comfortable and the hotel quiet.

Even though the rates are affordable, this is the worst hotel in London! To avoid absolutely. Uncomfortable bedding, ridiculously small bathroom. More and more hot water failure and closing problem on the door of a room ruined the stay. Not to mention that what we had booked was no longer available. A tip, try to choose a little better even if more expensive. To compare, even the first class type signs in France are more comfortable.

The rooms are just merely the walls that define them with 2 beds over the PVC floor. There is no single shelving or table nor any chair where you could lay your coat. We had to share the only single hanger that was in the room for both our coats and jumpers. Ventilation system was so poor air was frozen and noisy because of the high pressure. No control system in the rooms, had to wait for the concierge man to switch it off for us. It would have been wiser too to spare the pounds of the breakfast, so bad it was.

It's a terrible hotel, it's humble! This life has lived in the worst hotel, moldy, ultra-small room, shower room drainage, but also tricked us to say that there are to repair meals. I lived for a day and immediately gave up my escape to other hotels, so that the room would be more than 3, 000 TWD in the evening.

Room is very small and sparsely decorated. Facilities are very basic and the smell resembles a hospital. Walls are thin so noise propagates easily which makes for an unpleasant experience. Hotel is located next to a homeless charity/shelter which attracts some interesting characters. I would not stay here again personally.

It was a very nice hotel.

Free breakfast and a room with a window are not compensation for being charged double (the cost of a two day stay) to sleep for four hours after travelling from Luton Airport following a delayed flight. This check in policy is extremely poor for customers travelling from an airport: Quote from Syed at Easyhotel Old Street: 'the early check-in was for the 10th and the early check-in is only possible for 12 pm (afternoon) on the 10th, hence the reason why you were requested to pay for the 9th. ' So Easyhotel Old Street has charged for a two night hotel stay for three guests to sleep for four hours. This is a disgrace and the first and last time I or the university will have any business with this hotel. We were forced to pay for the day before we intended to stay.

Basic but your pay fir what you get. Fantastic price fir central Lindon did what we needed it too. Clean and tidy.

Basic hotel… Why it has two stars… my room was clean. This is the only positive. This is a basic hotel — it does not try to be anything else. It is cheap, it has a bed (with sheets), an en suite wet room (with towels and a soap dispenser) and that is it. If you need to put your head down with no add ons (I mean nothing, no cups for drinking, no bed side table, no room to seeing a cat, ceiling lights either on or off, no bed light) then this is perfect. Set your expectations low, as I say, it does not try to be anything other than a cheap place to put your head down… That is clean…

If you like a room styles somewhere between a boat cabin and a prison cell this might work for you. No adjustments to the always on AC. No tables/shelves/phone/TV/kettle. 2 plug sockets a plastic body for a bathroom and some uncomfortable beds and pillows. The cafe across the read is nice though.

No cleaning during the stay, small room, bathroom that does not close, no shower curtains or raclette, window without opening, no ventilation, quite far from the center but between two metro stations, staff accommodating but not very smiling.

I stayed here 1 night for a conference I was attending. It was what it said on the tin; small, no frills etc. I guess if you *just* want a clean bed to sleep in then that's fine, but for £116 I think I'll take my money elsewhere next time… The room was tiny, the window was hidden by blackout blinds but when you opened the blinds the window was covered in bird muck and clearly hadn't seen a window cleaner in a long time. The shower cubicle was beyond small, I felt like a kung-fu fighter whilst having my shower as the shower curtain kept wrapping itself round me. To have no shelves or bedside units in the rooms is daft… Do they think people travel with no bits and pieces — jewellery, books etc?! Anyway, all in all, I won't stay again. It might suit some people but staying somewhere that makes a Travelodge look luxury just isn't for me sorry.

The staff is friendly, but the rest is very very spartan… No room service, ridiculously small room, not a chair to sit on, not a cupboard or shelf to tidy up his clothes or even a toilet kit, Wi-Fi fee and exorbitant, magnetic cards for the room that fades nearby of a smartphone, … But Nice neighborhood.

Very well placed hotel, close to the Liverpool Street station (convenient when you arrive from the airport London Stanted with the shuttle that transfers to this station) close to the Metros and bus stops.
Clean room with a minimum of equipment and comfort but corresponds to the price paid for a room in the city center of London.
No complaints, according to the description made and the price paid.

Room clean and more spacious than I expected (I had booked the one without a window but they gave me the one with window).
At the entrance of the hotel there is the Easycoffee machine (very cheap flavored coffee/cappuccinos).

It would have been more comfortable sleeping in a morgue. Claustrophobic room, no window and clean air to the point that at the third (and fortunately) last night I came a crazy anxiety attack. One set of towels for one person, rooms never clean. My friend had to go down the street to throw the trash otherwise there would have been more room for us. Wi-Fi fee at a price of 5 pounds per device. The central position is the only positive element. It was a nightmare. Never again!

Every time I smell bleach, I just think of this hotel. The strong stench of bleach is all you'll smell as soon as you enter your room, and it's horrible! I paid £50 for one night, and I wish I had just slept on the streets, it was that bad! DO NOT stay here, trust me, you'll regret it.

They never clean the room. They didn't change the. Towels or sheets. No cupboard, no nightstand.

I hesitated between putting three or four stars to this hotel. If what you're looking for is a cheap site you will not find in London anything like it. The problem is that the rooms in some cases are very small and have no hangers to hang clothes but on the other hand there are those that say that they are clean. If you go to london is to visit and spend all day out there and you need the hotel to sleep and take a shower this is the cheap site perfect.

There were a number of "firsts" for me at this hotel. (1) I've never, ever heard a suitcase being unzipped through a wall before. Either it was thrash-metal zip, or the walls are made of tracing paper. (2) All very well having a small, easy to clean shower cubicle, but if the sink, shower and toilet are all within three feet of each other, it's quite important that the drains actually, er, drain. They did, but slower than lava down a gentle slope. (3) Nice to have an ironing board available, but they are quite hard to use when they are just a "board", with no legs, and sized like a piece of A4 paper. (4) Fluorescent lighting should never be used in a bedroom. With no window in the room, it was like a choice of being in a black hole or strapped in a dentist's chair with your eyes as well as your mouth forced open. Never, ever again.

The room was so small and the whole place reeks of toxic waste. A bum was camped outside the hotel in a tent, for a second I wish we could trade places, anything would be better than this hotel. But It wouldn't be fare to make him stay here. When we first arrived we got a room we didn't book (no widows, and two singel beds) we complaind to the staff and they said it was nothing they could do about it. We called the booking service we had booked the hotel through, and they finally made the hotel staff move us to another room. When we got there we finally had a window, but you couldn't open it. The room was so humid you felt like you were in a jungel. The bathroom was small and humid as well, and there was mold basically everywhere. Please people, this was a fairly priced hotel, but don't book it! You will truly regret it.

I have been in this hotel for 4 days and we were in two, the worst hotel that I have ever seen, there is no window, bedside tables, wardrobes, small room and no housekeeping, the bathroom is small, without air circulation system. There were no soaps in the bathroom and Wi-Fi for a fee (5£ per 24 h, the absurd). The only "positive" the staff were friendly and hotel location close to the metro station Old Street.

Is a cheap hotel good enough for a couple of days. The rooms are simple, with a bed, window and en suite bathroom with shower. No tables, TV or anything else. If you are looking for a place to sleep before you plan to spend all your time outside this hotel is good enough.

A very basic hotel. Our room had the bare essentials a bed, a window somewhere to hang our coats and a very compact bathroom. Unfortunatly we had problems with the lighting and had to ask for a different room which ended up being one of the disabled access rooms with no window. In the morning we were treated to a fire alarm which we were advised to ignore when we got to the reception. All in all not the best experience but it was in an ideal location for our visit and had good access to transport and ammenities. If we'd not had any problems I may have considered using them again.

Great for people working in the city to book a room for the night, instead of travelling home. Basic room, clean, it's all you need! Shower small but perfectly fine, if you want long term or will be in the room alot then look elsewhere. Clean bed, simple bathroom, come back from a night out go to sleep, done. Prices range from as little as £18 especially black Friday deals upwards of £100 depending on how late you book. Usually around the £30 mark if booking a month or so in advance. I don't know of anywhere else better value.

The location and the mattress were not bad, but everything else a turd. We got a room without windows, cubicle with 4 walls where only one bed fits. For leaving the suitcases in storage £5 per suitcase. In the rooms, there were neither cupboards nor tables nor shower tray nor air conditioning nor extraction of air …

The location is very good, this in the area 1 and close to Metro station, the room is clean, very good value for money, for that price in this area you can hardly find anything better. The only bad thing is that the heating is centralized and you can't regulate it.

Bad Hotel. Unpleasant staff. Disrespect. Horrible bed, a torture, you're stuck in the docks in your back. You only sleep if you're exhausted and sleep badly. I am still recovering from tiredness because in this hotel I was unable to rest. There is no TV, not a table or chair to leave your things. Everything has to go to the ground or on the bed, it's terrible. The bathroom is dwarf, the water didn't come out hot at all. There is no shower enclosure, the water comes out and it wets the entire bathroom floor. The walls are plastic, very ugly, it looks like a prison, it's horrible for your mental health. I was crying because I wanted to come home. I do not know how the English do not complain and hold this type of accommodation. It's horrible. In Spain no one would allow it. A place like that paying. Even the campgrounds are better than this hotel. They don't let you pay in cash. You have to pay if you want Wi-Fi, also if you want to get the room cleaned. There is no bar for breakfast, only vending machines that sell junk food.

Terrible! Checked-in at 17.00h and came in to my room. Its a small simple room and Thats ok. But when I opened my bathroom, everything was spotted with blood! And it wasnt ours! We got back to the receptionist and complaint About our findings, he simply Told us 'the cleaners are gone, they can fix Your room tommorow' — 'and otherwise you can clean the room yourself'. I was given a big — and small towel to CLEAN the blood spots myself. Are you even serious?! The man didnt even take a look in to our bathroom. Very very terrible staff!

I have never been so bad. The room offers the space vital for survival. Air is missing, a missing bedside table, the space for movement. We asked for a room for three and we had a room for two. It lacks an extractor fan in the bathroom and a system for recycling air (not air conditioning which can be a jinx). Not recommended, despite the low price. Run away to hell!

Minimal to the maximum. I don't understand why not to put a bedside table or a shelf. There is no place for the suitcase and the air inside is not circulating, therefore is unhealthy. I can assure you that a cabin inside a ship is much more livable. Add two shelves I don't think costs very much. In the bathroom, was not present anything (shampoo, soap, etc…). Was not present the television. If you really have to spend a single night, ok, but most days I do not recommend the room without the window.

Not for the faint hearted, didn't think these type of hotels still existed, tiny with no amenities at all unless paying for them which then works out even more money. Didn't really think it was that cheap as have stayed in much better for less in London

For the price of short stay in London sure OK.
Advantages: Clean, safe and super location, (almost) in the trendy Shoreditch and also close.
Cons: Only a horrible ceiling lighting in the sparse room, Windows can not be opened, no shelves or cupboards.

Very friendly 5 +. Cleanliness 2 +. WLAN could be included in the price with no extra charge instead of paying 5Pf for 24 hours, because most of the time you are under way anyway.

The value for money is very good for London. Very nice staff at the reception! 1 extra star for you:)

Clean and cheap for London. Not very friendly.

The rooms are extremely small and relatively poorly soundproofed. In addition to the relatively short bed (~ 1, 90cm), a hand luggage fits at best. The room made a decent impression. If you are only staying in hotel it is enough. There is no TV or Wi-Fi in the room. (Costs a high fee in the other easy hotels)
After all, the hotel is centrally located (two stops from Kings Cross) and there is a supermarket (coop) on the way to the subway. (Station Old Street, Northern Line
Facilities:
* Three usable sockets (two next to the bed, one next to the mirror in the sleeping room. There is no electrical outlet in the washroom.
* Only one clothes chop
In the ceiling height there is another socket with antenna connection which is probably intended for a television.
There is neither a table nor a chair, so you have to put your clothes on the floor or otherwise.
The light in the hallways is controlled by motion detector so that it is the first duster when you leave the room.
Got it rated well as it is very convenient for the location.
