Reviews of Crowne Plaza London Kings Cross, an IHG Hotel 4*
Very comfortable Warm hotel. Family and child friendly. We loved it.
A remarkably friendly hotel Very quiet with helpful service Lovely breakfast, plenty of choice.
Good location for our tour group. Good breakfast and staff.
Joke of a 4 star Pool shut for 3 years Club room close Bar and restaurant shut at 10pm Staff all have different crib sheets of bs.
Beautifully hotel, clean and breakfast was beautiful. Staff were lovely x.
Fined £100 for picking up our luggage! 20 mins maximum! Bar staff were untrustworthy and ignorant. Won’t be staying again, ever! I’d rather stick needles in my eye!
Horrible treatment of Quarantine passengers returning home from overseas! Reception or room service does not answer their phones! Security yells at you like you are a criminal if you go into the hall asking for assistance! Your order the horrendous lunch at 13:00 and still have not received it by 16:01! Inmates at least get their meals on time! And at £2285 it is absolutely disgusting to be treated like this at our own cost!
Room was freezing because heating was broken. Had to wait a day and a half for a small heater. No housekeeping came to clean, make beds etc. We were only here for 3 nights and on our 2nd night, we were told we had to be out in the morning because the gov. Were taking over the hotel, presumably for quarantine purposes. I asked how we were to get to the hotel they had booked for us and was told they would order a taxi, but we would have to pay for it. I argued that they should pay and will wait and see what happens in the morning. Our 2nd and last full day ruined by packing and unpacking and moving miles away from the area we had chosen.
Great place worth it every penny 👍👍👍
The rooms was dirty with the customer befores razors and hair everywhere and toilets blocked beds not made room was cold and had a terrible smell would never stay here again if anyone else has a brain they wouldn’t it is by far the worst I have ever seen when I complained the manger said he would send a email to head office and he never by far worst staff and service I have seen.
Clean hotel with city view. Food is good. Sufficient for normal diet people. Advisable to get some snacks with you. They have night meal service incase if you hungry.
Disgusting treatment of quarantine guests who pay a fortune to stay. People will remember this😡
Disgusting treatment of people who have paid a fortune to stay in it as a quarantine hotel. Tiny, unhealthy "meals" — NOT fit to call meals and barely enough to feed a child let alone a grown man. Rude, overbearing, threatening staff treating people like dirt. Avoid avoid avoid!
Will definitely be back to stay again, very relaxing atmosphere all round.
My 3rd time staying at Crowne Plaza King's Cross and its very quiet relaxing enjoyable & very comfortable food & staff are excellent & it's so close to all transport.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the moment we arrived till we went was a fantastic stay everyone was polite and helpful from the booking in staff to the restaurant and bar great stay.
Great place to stay fantastic service.
Lovely hotel with nice leisure facilities shame you had to pay for that facility but it was still good stay.
The worst check in I have ever had. No regard for disabled customers.
Clean rooms. Very quiet hotel, you would have thought there were no other residents. Didn't hear any doors banging closed. Definitely stay here again next time I stay over in London. Also great breakfast selection.
Highly recommend a great hotel in all ways.
The room was lovely. The hotel was beautiful. The amenities were hard to find and learn about. But the sad party is there was a staff member who was not only not nice on more than one occasion, he was not helpful. He could use some training in hospitality.
We had a wonderful stay, lovely clean, spacious room! The staff were amazing and very helpful.
Had a comfortable stay. Clean rooms. Good spacious bar. Queued both days to be seated for breakfast… could see many empty uncleared tables, suggest having a few designated restaurant staff to just clear/reset tables during busy times, this would easily solve this issue. Have to pay extra for the pool facilities — disappointing! Lifts are a nightmare to use.
Great hotel and a really helpful team.
Spa experience. Treatment was fab the rest was disappointing.
Excellent Location only 10min walk from Kings Cross and 30min steady walk to Blackfriars Bridge and waterfront attractions.
Room was lovely and clean, comfortable and very quiet despite overlooking Royal Mail Sorting office.
Had a well stocked hospitality tray with complimentary waters each day.
Great shower with rainfall head as well as standard head on riser rail and nice toiletries.
We booked this 2 night stay as a superbreak deal which came with dinner on the first night which was taken in the Belgo Restaurant. This came in the form of a set 3 course menu with several choices offered for each course. The food was amazing, and plentiful. Best Calamari we have ever had and the Moules were fabulous. Service and staff all great and attentive.
Breakfast is also taken in this restaurant and provides a great selection for all tastes. All freshly prepared and well laid out.
Overall a fabulous stay and definately recommend.
I always find a welcome at this hotel. The whole team seem to pull together to make guests very comfortable. Tonight my compliments to Simona M for checking me in double quick time. The rooms are comfortable. Room service catering is nourishing without pretention. The excellence is in doing everyday's jobs consistently well.
We booked 2 nights in a family room and we really liked it. The shower in our room was amazing! The food in the restaurant was very good. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty to choose from (but could do with more teaspoons, I couldn't find any anywhere! ). The beds were big and comfy. We took advantage of the 2 for 1 cocktails in the bar up until 7 and the bar tender (Igor) was very good at all the fancy shaking and pouring and friendly too! We had a couple of issues with the room (we found items of clothing belonging to the previous guests) but the manager attended to this immediately and made an appropriate gesture of apology. I made our own beds back up and hung my towels up in the bathroom as instructed to do so by the card in the bathroom for if you didn't want room service but upon our return to the room we saw they had remade the beds and given us fresh towels. I then discovered the card I should have hung on the door so maybe this should be left more prominently. Its a bit of a walk to a tube station but you can flag a cab easily just outside the hotel and its around £5 to get dropped at King's Cross or Russell Square. I would definitely stay again.
Can't fault this hotel. Lovely welcoming friendly staff. Room was spot on, very clean and had everything required. Restaurant was great value, attentive staff. Breakfast had tons of variety, something for everyone. Will definitely stay again. Thank you.
We travel extensively and we were very dissatisfied with this hotel. The room was nice but the carpet smelled and our house keeper didn’t do the best job cleaning the room. We were told upon check-in that the pool was only open until 6:30pm for kids. Luckily I questioned that when I extended our stay and told for summer break it was extended until 7:30pm for kids. When we went to use the pool we were told there was £3.50 per adult/ per hour charge for adults and £1 per child/ per hour. They forgot to turn our charging privileges on at the desk which they quickly rectified. We extended an extra day so we could see more of London and had a bit of trouble. My husband and son came back separate from myself and they would not give him a room key. I spoke with them and they agreed to give him a key that didn’t work when he got to the room. He took my son to the pool and the pool attendant said they could not go in because no charging privileges on the account and she said there was only 1/2 hour left to swim anyway. It was 34 Celsius today and the 1/2 hour swim was what our 6 year old needed. He would have had an hour had my husband not have been so long at the desk and been able to get into the room. While we fully understand there are policies, I would never have imagined someone telling a 6 year old they couldn’t use the pool for 1/2 hour over a £4.50 charge that could’ve have been easily rectified.
Nice hotel. Book a club room… the perks are worth the extra money. Check in issue with new member if staff in ‘training’ who claimed my card wasn’t the card I paid on (it wasn’t, I paid for my stay back in November… my card expired and it had different numbers, same bank account though) this fella said he needed to refund my payment (3 days to go back in bank) and then I needed to pay again right away, so really £800+ would of been out of my account for the two night stay! I’m a retail manager and I showed him on his screen and my card that my account number remained the same, just the card number changes for security. Eventually after that bit of a panic… another member of staff told him everything was fine as it was! My marking down was because the manager of blooms booked us into belgo that evening for 9pm, we turned up at 9pm… the manager of blooms then seated us and ALL of the other belgo staff ignored us, we were sat with menu’s for ages! When my husband went off to get someone to say we were hungry, we got ‘oh it’s special night… football on! ’ Well in that case then they should either have more staff on or don’t accept the booking. It took 30 mins to have our order taken. If that manager had just told someone to take care of us it would of been no issue but no communication when working as a team is never ever going to work. We were compensated by ‘we’ve took the service charge from your bill’ that’s optional anyways? Hardly a sorry is it?!
My sister and I went to the Therapy 4 U spa at the crown and enjoyed a massage each before enjoying the facilities. The massage we very nice. I had the aromatherapy massage and my sister got the hot stone. We were both quite pleased. The pool itself is a little short for laps, but sufficient for paddling around a bit. The only real complaint was that there was no cold water to enjoy after the sauna or steam room. Even the pool was cool but not cold. Dressing rooms were comfortable and staff were friendly. All around a good experience.
Convenient and well served by the means. Friendly Staff Clean and comfortable Environment. Great Breakfast.
Rooms were clean, good breakfast but no microwave in hotel rooms. I had to warm milk for my 2.5 years son they asked to request from restaurant in hotel. They did one time only and next time said sorry we do not have policy to do that. I took food which cook in 2-3 min in microwave for my son but they did not help us at all. If you arrive early do not expect they will give you room.
Four star hotel very comfortable, recently restructured and reloocké.
Rather eccentric, it still remains at some bus stations, from King cross St Pancras, n * 63, direction "honour oak".
The "breakfasts" room is huge, but well appointed to take very quietly a very complete breakfast, scrambled eggs, grilled bacon, sausages, mushrooms, beans. Toast.
The room was clean enough (dusty lamps but clean linens). The tub is deep and comfortable but the shower is very poorly designed and there's no shower curtain so one cannot take a shower without spraying the whole bathroom. And STAY AWAY FROM THE RESTAURANT (Belgo)! The food and service are mediocre at best and, as we were finishing our meal, we had front row view of a mouse scurrying past. Twice. Hotel is aware and, according to them, "there are no more in the kitchen. " Because, apparently, that makes it all better. Go to Union Tavern across the street. Lovely place.
Cozy Rooms. Great reception. Fast Elevators. Room Service. Kettle and Iron. Comfortable Beds. Italian speaking Staff.
Very nice hotel… a bit too noisy to my taste damage.
Very good! We are staying in a family room with two children, very comfortable with two double beds. The breakfast is buffet, I recommend that if you like good coffee, ask for an espresso from the waiter since there is a tad loose. If you can't find something for the kids, you can also order it and you bring it. You have a pool that you can use in the family until 6:30 with a jacuzzi included, so don't forget your swimsuit. The location is good, it is about 15 min or less walk from the train station of Kings Cross St. Pancras. At reception very friendly! Without a doubt, a success!.
The check in was a little ropey as was given a smoking room and had to change it. Then the room keys didn't work. The room was great however and the shower was amazing. The location was great and the onsite choice of food was great. We ate in Belgo and enjoyed the food and drinks. Computers were down for checkout so had to fill in a credit card slip.
Good morning, I would like to know if there are any restaurants nearby to eat or buy gluten free. Thank you.
We spent 2 nights here with our grand children. Check in was very quick. Our room had 2 double beds. It was spotlessly clean, there was nothing we could have faulted. Great breakfast with a brilliant choice. Were helped by a young man called Jason who was a star and was able to help us with everything we asked. Would stay here again.
Room that is not suitable for the price (far from the Four Star standards). One of the cards to open it was not functional. Italian shower poorly built (so flood the bathroom/WC after each shower). Bad shower products (and given in insufficient quantity). Three elevators that never seem to work. 30-minute tail for breakfast. Frozen and warmed products for breakfast (once again unworthy of a four-star! ). All crowned by a disdainful tone of staff. In short, very bad experience.
Good hotel, no lack of detail. What a coincidence that on Easter Sunday we wanted to access the spa and it was closed all day for maintenance reasons, that annoyed me, the truth. After two days without stopping wondering for London, I needed it. Otherwise very comfortable bed, clean and fluffy towels, bathroom accessories spares every day. At the reception 2 people speak Spanish. I recommend it.
It was all very well situated services very very acceptable all in all very clean, the breakfast spectacular, the bathroom seemed to me a last.
Very comfortable and clean bedroom. Hotel has a good gym and pool area with sauna and steam room which was an added bonus. The Belgian restaurant at this hotel called Belgo served very good food with lots of choices of beers from around the world.
We arrived early to leave our bags, before we headed off on our adventures! However, we were told we could go straight to our room. The room was very nice, two very comfortable beds. The reception staff were friendly. The dinning room at breakfast was very busy but the kitchen staff were very helpful and cooked my egg just how I like it, cremated!
As we were leaving the dining room my friend was taken ill. The staff were excellent, the first aider was on the scene immediately and the duty manager was fabulous. He fanned her until she recovered. The first aider accompanied us to our room and assured us she would return if we needed her. We would definitely return there again.
Great breakfast with the possibility to make dishes by the Cooks good gym.
Very good location just 800m from St Pancras station, I had a very good stay. The Gym is well maintained with recent machines. There is also a CrossFit box The breakfast is very varied and you can have some dishes made to order. The bedding is good quality the room is spacious and comfortable. The view is mainly on the post and the garage of all these vehicles, but it also sees the Skyline. The Italian shower and the spacious bathroom. The air conditioning/heating is adjustable and it works! The Wi-Fi is ultra fast. Only Bemol, for the pool you have to pay extra, and the elevators… We wait we wait… I think it is not optimal. But despite that I put 5
Crowne Plaza is one of the best Hotels I have been to so far. Be it the friendly staff, skyline view, inhouse swimming pool and fitness centre, lavishly spread buffet breakfast, excellent quality service, and the list goes on. I would certainly recommend it to someone looking for quality time in ❤️of central London. I would forward to my next stay with them. A very big thank you to the entire team!
Nice hotel however as described (to be fair) parking is limited however the concierge found me a space (Big thanks). The room was comfortable but a little warm and the aircon was too loud. Breakfast good but could do with better pastries. All in all 4* and would stay again. Staff very helpful.
Decent enough hotel. Clean bathroom and bedroom. Nice to have kettle and tea/coffee in room. Location good to access central/east London. Major disappointment for us was the daily charge to use pool. Booked this hotel so we could use pool with 3 yr old between sight seeing without realizing there was a pool charge (maybe should be more clear on website! ), and at £3.50 per adult and £1.50 per child, per day, it meant just popping down to use pool for 15 mins here and there throughout our 2 night, 3 day stay wasn't an option as the cost didn't make sense.
Hotel & rooms were very clean & tidy. Reception staff helpful. However the staff in the restaurant were anything but helpful. Arrived at 8pm for our pre-booked dinner to find very little staff. Spoke to bartender who got us to our table. Waitress took over 15 minuets to take our order which she then got wrong forgetting to order our 8 year olds food & also wrong drinks arrived. Once she released she did apologise but then brought a starter over four daughter that wasn’t orders? She finally got her meal once we were half finished ours. Breakfast was a bit better but not enough staff at all.
Nice hotel in the King's Cross area. I didn't stay in a room there so can't comment on rooms. But the family booked the entertainment hall for my mothers birthday party. Very nice sized hall for parties and events. The food was good and tasty. Good service.
Great hotel! Highly recommended. :)
Nice room. Found it slightly cheeky that you have to pay for the pool seeing as you've paid so much to stay overnight. Also if you turn up at the spa they send you away to reception to get allowed to charge the spa onto your room, not really sure why they can't do it at the spa reception! Food in the restaurant good value and nice. Cocktail bar excellent.
It's a good hotel, it's a little walk from kings cross, maybe 6 to 7 minutes. The rooms are nice but the furniture needs some rearranging to make the room work. Service was straight the point but could have been a lot more friendly, overall I was surprised by the overall nature of the hotel. That said, it's a quality hotel in a nice location in London. You won't be unhappy if you pick this hotel.
Good and, above all, relatively centrally located hotel. Kings Cross is just a 10-minute walk away.
Good facilities, 10 minutes from the metro and train station. The gym is somewhat small but is not bad at all.
Visited for a massage and spa the massage was enjoyable and relaxing. The spa was disappointing very little space to relax and a children's swimming lesson was taking place. Not the relaxing experience I was after, if I had been told there was a children's swim lesson on I would have changed the time.
A great staff & hotel with 2 connecting restaurants. They have a spa, pool, jacuzzi, gym and is located in a convenient location. The rooms are a bit small but they are still very nice and comfortable!
Wonderful location for my first trip to London. Rooms were modern. Beds comfy. Shower a little funky but the norm over there according to my buddy. No door. Water inevitably gets everywhere.
Great location. Great breakfast but not cheap. Very friendly and polite staff. Room was very spacious. We had 2 twin beds. The rooms were clean. Had nice bathroom with rainfall shower with wand. Nice TV with several channels.
My room, an upgrade, was probably very nice. It was really very cold, though, and the air conditioning appears not to heat the room at all (or controllable — an icy blast appeared impossible to turn off). The television picked up five (yes, five) channels — fuzzy re-encoded SD versions of the top 5 channels on the list and nothing else of the 40 channels. I did report this to the front desk, but this was seemingly ignored, given the remote and wires were not moved. Location, overlooking the Mount Pleasant sorting office, isn't bad, but at over twelve minutes' walk from the nearest tube, is a bit frustratingly remote for central London. At the end of a busy day, I was also not particularly impressed to be stuck in the lift — it churned through its program of trying to open the doors, not getting very far, and just sitting there. The Otis lift had an alarm button, but nobody responded to the call. In the end, after what felt like ten minutes, the lift doors shuddered and then eventually opened. When a Holiday Inn Express offers a nicer experience, a warmer room, a much better television, and lifts that you don't get stuck in; it's all a bit of a letdown.
This very nice, has a good restaurant, very rich food of ahíy good location.
Clean quiet and recently upgraded from a Holiday Inn. Good buffet breakfast. Rooms were exactly what you would expect from a Crowne Plaza — comfortable and well thought out. Staff were friendly and efficient. Only negatives was the long distance to the nearest Tube station and the tiny elevators.
The showers are bad and make a mess. Change them. There are smart TV in the room but they are stripped from anything that makes them a "smart" TV and loaded with garbage channels. Also the Wi-Fi is horrifically slow. The only thing that got are getting from the price of this hotel is the look of staying at a fancy hotel but none of the money that you are putting in is being put the work. You can get a decent bed at a plethora of hotels. If I'm playing a lavish price I expect to have lavish accommodation not the hot garbage that is offered here.
When I arrived at the Crown Plaza hotel Kings Cross London… I wasn't sure it just seemed like another 4 star hotel… I was escorted to my room and thought "yes" this is very clean, neat and tidy… however I have stayed here for 3 nights now and they have an OUTSTANDING gym and day spa on the bottom level including a steam room… The restaurant call BELGO has an excellent breakfast available and the dinner there is very tasty indeed… and very friendly staff Highly recommended Rates as well as all the five and six star hotels I have stayed at. Highly recommended five star.
The habiticion is large and clean but had problems with the televicion.
Very good hotel. Rooms ámplias and quite central.
Been fantastic this surface xulo happy cool.
Didn't have such a great experience. Noisy since 7 am due to some maintenance work, which was informed at the time of check-in, but you can't do much about after check-in. My next stay was better, as I have been given newly refurbished room of good size, which I enjoyed. Good free Wi-Fi service with good internet speed.
Terrible. Arrived and was given a smoking room despite the booking stating non smoking (didn't even know hotels had smoking rooms these days). Upon complaining reception insisted that I had booked smoking, despite my printed confirmation saying non smoking. Was then given a room that can only be described as having a sagging camp bed in that was so bad, it would have been like sleeping in a bowl if I'd have placed my full weight on it. Upon returning to reception I was told that there were no other rooms available, until I started to complain and miraculously a room appeared as available. Considering that I'm a loyalty club member for IHG/ Holiday Inn and have stayed in their hotels when away on business for over 15 years, it's only taken the one stay to make me never want to stay in a Holiday Inn again. I don't care if the hotel was being refurbished — it's no excuse for such a poor service and attitude.
Being renovated, and the rooms are really nice now. The downstairs area is the same old holiday inn, and the food on offer is still dated. Fairly poor breakfast.
Location good, about 15 mins away from nearest tube station. Very helpful on check in and let us check in early as we had small children with us, good baggage storage too. Was a little dirty in places, reservations are currently underway so those areas may not have yet been renovated.
If I could give this zero I would. Overpriced and pompous. Seems to be that hotels in central London think that you owe them a favour just because of the location. I've stayed here a number of times for work and always been disappointed. Twice there's been blood in the room once in the bed once in the bathroom that's how bad it was… avoid!
Attention, this hotel is in construction. There is noise during the day. You can't rest for a nap, for example.
Great hotel. One of the best in the same price range in the area. Newly refurbished room was perfect. Excellent standard. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. There's still some refurb work going on so the lifts can be confusing. It's about 15 mins walk to Kings Cross so don't be fooled by the hotel name. Other than that I'd definitely stay here again.
Rooms were nice and newly renovated, but our first room had a broken TV and a locked deposit box. After several calls to have someone look at it, they just sent a person to move us to new room without telling us. We finally cleared it all up and they gave complimentary breakfast. It turns out the new room doesn't have a safe deposit box at all and they never gave us breakfast. When we finally did get into breakfast, we found hairs inside our food. Also, the internet was unstable and slow. The one good thing was that the location was pretty convenient.
A welcoming place. Very nice. Pretty clean. We recommend it.
This is a very handy location, close to the tube. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is modern and clean. The staff were very helpful. The Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast was good. I would return.
All in all the hotel is up to its standards: staff are friendly, food is nice, service is quick and sufficient. I encountered only one problem — Wi-Fi. The internet connection is extremely bad. So I did raise this issue with hotel staff and they explained that the hotel is currently fully booked, hence such low speeds. Completely unacceptable excuse. That should be sorted out. I was on my business trip and because of such appalling Wi-Fi I had to stay in the office late for two nights because I NEED INTERNET for work and it's pretty much non-existent here (occasionally it happens literally, it simply disconnects), takes ages just to check my email. Oh, and I've read some reviews that pool is not for free either. That is also unacceptable.
We had a family room which was fine and clean although small for two adults and two children. Meals were nice. However, I am disgusted that as guests we have to pay extra to use the pool. Having stayed in many Holiday Inn hotels this is the first time we have had to pay to use the leisure facilities.
Stayed one night in January 2016 on 5th floor. Hotel nice and clean, staff all helpful and courteous. Check-in was easy — room was ready before 10.30 even though we didn't arrange an early check-in. The room was modern and we'll decorated and the bathroom and shower were excellent (although due to the shower screen being fixed in place, it was difficult to put the plug in for the bath). Minor issues: not enough towels for three but resolved quickly (very responsive — under 5 minutes) ; there was a yellow (bleach? ) stain on the carpet near the door but didn't detract from the stay; the room was very hot overnight and we couldn't find a way to adjust the temperature; despite asking for a quiet room, there was a lot of road noise through the window — it looked like the attempts to seal the window were unsuccessful (fortunately, we had earplugs so it was just about tolerable). Finally, there was work going on the floor below — this was listed on the website before booking and we were made aware whilst checking in; work was only supposed to take place during certain hours but started before 10 on Sunday morning. Word of note on the booking — the hotel was much cheaper booking with IHG than through any of the booking websites and becoming an IHG member entitled us to a discount on the price, free Wi-Fi access and use of the leisure facilities. Would I stop again? Yes.
The hotel is currently being refurbished and changing to Crowne Plaza. Our room was newly refurbished on the 7th floor. The bar and reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Excellent hotel. Not so well located but nothing that an uber can't fix. Have Wi-Fi payment, but if you agree to join a kind of membership of holiday inn you would get for free. We because it is carisimo but.
Not my first choice of hotel in London as its a bit out of the way. The tube station is quite a distance away and it really doesn't have a look about the area that you feel fine walking around in the dark. Street lighting is poor and its not a busy area. The hotel itself is undergoing refurbishment floor by floor. They have done 8-6 and are currently working in 5. If you're a non-smoker and get a room on the 2nd floor ask to move — don't even go there. The smell that comes into the lift from that floor is bad enough! Complaints about even the smallest of things are dealt with swiftly but to be honest they go way OTT. I'm currently typing this review from an Exec Suite which I was moved to due to a colleague complaining that we didn't get bottled water or kitkats in our rooms! As IHG Gold members its a small upgrade you get — Kings Cross do tend to forget about that though. The restaurant is split in two. An Indian Restaurant with a much reduced menu than 12m ago and a standard restaurant with approx 5 choices on the menu. One of which is vegetarian. Breakfast is your usual standard — buffet consisting of various cold meats and cheese for our foreign visitors, selection of boxed cereals, fresh fruit and traditional English "fry" up. In name only as I suspect the bacon is boiled, the eggs are lightly poached in warm oil and the sausages are usually lighly coloured on one side and anaemic on the other.
£8 taxi ride from the city district, executive rooms are great, excellent showers, staff are super helpful.
Unable to get any working internet, even though they changed my room to a location where the wireless was actually supposed to work. I think they have the entire hotel going through the smallest, cheapest internet pipe possible just so they can claim internet exists, but you can't use it for anything. A 1984 Hayes modem would have been faster. Unable to get an ironing board to save my life — a whole other woeful story. They also screwed up my bill told me they would fix it later and email a corrected one to me, of course they did not, when I complained that I needed it they just emailed me the wrong bill. They are clueless, and the hotel smells like a cross between a high school gymnasium and moldy cigarette smoke. The location of the hotel is also a bit of a geographic oddity, as it is not convenient to any train or tube station… yet it is in London. I understand it is just a Holiday Inn, but even compared to other Holiday Inn hotels (which are not the greatest, I realize), this one was the worst HOLIDAY INN I have ever stayed at.
Stayed in a recently refurbished superior room which was very nice. Friendly staff and good reasonably priced room service. 10 minute walk from kings cross station. Would definitely stay again.
Good Central location to the city centre. The car Park costs 20GBP a day, however, they are only very limited available. Clean well maintained rooms. Only the premises of the restaurant, I have not particularly agreed, although one must say that the Breakfast is for English conditions good and varied was. All in all, recommended.
Outstanding five night holiday. Pleasant and helpful staff. Good full English breakfast. Site seeing all day. Back to hotel swim and relax in steam room. Good night sleep in a newly refurbished room. This hotel perfect choice for families.
Very great and beautiful Hotel.
Well when we showed up everything was perfect. Great service, good rooms and the location was ideal. The trouble began when we tried to go to sleep. The fire alarm went off at about 9:30 no big deal but when it happens the next three nights in a row we started to loose some sleep. We got really annoyed by the 3rd night because there was a different excuse every night. Please fix. Thanks. :-).
We managed to get our rooms for free through a deal, so can't really give verdict on price, but the location is alright if you don't mind walking, room was clean and warm, and breakfast was amazing! Bit of trouble with the reservation as we had free breakfast with the room but on two separate occasions was told breakfast wasn't included, until they checked their details.
The rooms remain correct even though they are a bit old. The location is not ideal, there ' was a good trot up to King's Cross St Pancras.
The hotel is superb, no complaints, but home none of the hostesses don't speak French even if one of them was small the France flag on his shirt! This place is clean, I'm completely satisfied with my stay there.
Really nice, very nice room, freebies in the bathroom. Have to pay for swimming pool.
We have the hotel beginning april visit and we are very satisfied 3 women have breakfast so a huge selection was so what rich and very good indeed a band of super to the tousten of bread the staff friendly! especially marco has helped us so much tips given the eizigste has spoken yet even german many thanks to him! for us, she bead of the House! We had calm and in the evening we could relax in the pool and sauna! We would book all three very happy to again in this hotel.
The Kings Cross Bloomsbury was home from home when my husband and I were working away from home. A very friendly service. Nothing is too much trouble and Mark Barrett builds superiour customer relationships with his guests. Thank you.
Excellent stay. All staff very friendly and efficient. Dining room staff especially welcoming and the full English breakfast (which was included in the price of our stay) was very varied and plentiful. Bedroom very spacious and suitable for 2 adults and 2 children with 2 very comfortable double beds. Would not hesitate to return.
Fairly alright place. The rooms are pricey between £170-£210. Quite expensive. Having to pay for wifo if wanted £10.95 a day. I was told today that I couldn't have hot chocolate because there's only one chef wjo can make it and he was absent. What rubbish? I wouldn't mind making it myself but for heaven sake let the women enjoy her fav hot drink. The toast was gone so quickly in a minute and didn't come back till every 5-10 minutes. A big urgh. There is a massive queue for breakfast. The beds were ichy. The room was lovely tho. But my brother the next morning suffered of back and neck pain. Vey terrible. And I assure u it's the beds. There is a fee for swimming: £1.50 for kids and £3.50 for adults. Like what? A extra fee on top of the hotel price. Extra cash being pulled out of our pockets! Would prefer going to the Marriot/Sherraton! — Unacceptable.
It is a very good place do stay in london, but there is no Wi-Fi in the hotel. nowadays internet is so important in a hotel, isn't it? by the way, you can ' buy' the internet acess, but its so expensive. the room is nice and you can have a beautiful london view.

No hanging space for long dresses, the most uncomfortable bed ever — was softer sleeping in the floor! No decent mirror or lighting to do make up. Air conditioning wasn’t great, bathroom looks great but shower flooded the bathroom, all in all a poor show for what is supposed to be a 4 star hotel.
