The Queens Hostel Hostel

Quite basic, but better than I expected for a hostel. Showers were hot and powerful too.

Staff is very nice and helpful, the place is very quiet! Could stay there monthes!

The hostess is extremely friendly and the price is very reasonable. Hygiene is important to them and everything is kept clean. The people I met there were wonderful. This is a great spot if you're in London for a few days and are on a budget. Some people were there for a few months to wait for an apartment and they all seemed very glad to be there. They also have a very lovely (big) dog. You do have to share a room with a few other people, so keep that in mind. I would certainly go again if I'm in the area for a trip.

Queens Hostel is very close to the Tube (about 8 minutes walk away) so good location. It's close to the street so if your window is open, you may get woken up at night by some loud pedestrians as we did. Wi-Fi in the rooms is spotty unless you go down to the kitchen. The place was nice, quiet, and clean.

If you're looking to stay in London this place is excellent great nights sleep 6 bedded room was perfect for us great value.

Great place to stay! 3rd Time here! Booked myself a few more times towards Christmas as it’s very reasonable and Free toast and jam! And coffee too! Really nice home from home.

I walked past the doormen who were talking no one said it was home fans only, I got my pint then one of the doormen came in asked me to leave as Sheffield united fans are not allowed in, I asked if I could drink my Pint as I had been on coach for 5 hours stuck on the M1, He said if I was quick so I drank my drink & left, but it seems a decent pub & pint was ok.

Worst hostel ever! I booked this "place" from Airbnb, end of month therefore my budget was quite low at the time, but still won't expect is a "real hostel" Owner is rude to the costumers, she is not allowed me to check in, because my flight is delayed, and I arrived around 6:30 am, even that I still paid for that day, and I have to go out spend all day outside with only 2 hours sleep until 3pm to check in. Second day I went out early for shopping, her kitchen write down opening time is 7am, and I was waiting outside for one and half hour, when I was outside the entrance smoking, new quests arrived, and they're ringing the bell for 10-15 minutes, no one was answering, I asked them maybe you guys and come in waiting inside for the owner, after a hour she finally wake up, instead apologizing for her mistakes she started yelling at those new customers, it was shocked, I used to work at the hostel back to Melbourne and my family had our own hotel back to Taiwan, and I never seen this kind of strange things, after she starts blaming me why I open the door for them, If some customers ring the doorbell for 15 minutes wake up all the quests expect you, how should we do, finish the cigarette and told them "sorry! Waiting outside.

MUST READ! DO NOT GO HERE! * * The single most terrible experience I've ever had. After checking in, the receptionist allocated me to my dorm. When I entered, there was a strong, rancid scent in the room. I asked the receptionist if there were an opportunity for me to move into another dorm (as the place seemed quiet) to which he was very helpful and allocated me into another dorm. Great, I go to sleep and all is fine. 01:40 AM — A woman (who transpired to be the owner) aggressively entered the room, turned the lights on and immediately started raising her voice at me. It turns out that she took offence to me asking to change dorms because of the bad smell in the original dorm. She was swearing at me with a raised voice. She refused to leave the room when I was unclothed (because I was in bed), she was threatening me. She woke the young man up in the original dorm, claiming that I said 'he smelt'. She refused to be reasoned with; She ignored the fact that it was the receptionist who had allowed me to change room. Her colleague informed me that she had been drinking before hand. Bottom line — I have nothing against hostels, but if you value your safety, DO NOT STAY HERE! Read other reviews about this place; I'm not the first.

Good location, great value for money. Nice staff, pretty clean rooms and in order compared to the average of the hostels.

Beer warm and over priced £4 per pint fosters in lsa bar, £4.50 /£4.90 in main bar what's that all about. £3.30 in white horse and tastes like fosters so tata queens.
