Their afternoon tea and service was exceptional.

May I give a shout out to Bogdan who welcomed us on arrival, provided us with a welcome drink as well as dispatching our bags and was back again today to see us off. It is rare to get such personable service in a London hotel. If there’s an employee of the month scheme he’s my nominee and that’s against a background of great service fro the majority of staff we encountered.

Great location for easy access to Liverpool Street Station. Tube stops a short walk in either direction. The service was outstanding.

Carpet so plush I want to lie on it! Staff very helpful and welcoming, all round fabulous hotel!

Pros: — Friendly staff, tons of history, good locating during the work week, room size is decent (wood panel walls? ), generally quiet neighborhood during weekend Cons: — Location — literally nothing is open on weekends close by, not even their own bar and restaurant, have seen the price reach 1.5-2x the rest of London, outside noise coming into room is obnoxious — one night above the local pub made it impossible to fall asleep and another a building alarm went off for 30+ minutes twice (once at 3 am! ), some rooms are close enough to adjacent buildings to read white boards Unfortunately I can’t see myself coming back. Too many great hotels in London to select from.

Great location and comfortable room. The staff from time of check-in, dinner in the bar to breakfast have been outstanding! Very much appreciated receiving the wine as well. I have found my new go to hotel while staying in London.

Who doesn’t like to stay downtown London? Great staff, great hotel and great location! Don’t know what else to say, go there and enjoy the experience staying in the bank district and explore London from it’s heart! Another great Marriott property!

I went here for afternoon tea, we were sat in the foyer of the hotel which we found a bit strange but actually it turned out to be very pleasant there. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious and able to cater for one of our party who has a gluten free diet.

Nice hotel in the City of London. We were greeted on arrival with a complimentary glass of wine or fizz, which was a nice touch. It does have the feel of a business hotel, but very nicely appointed, tidy and smart. Big rooms and bathrooms, with a bath and shower. High ceilings in what is a nice old building in the business district of London. Bank of England on the doorstep and Bank Tube station just a couple of minutes down the road. A nice place to stay and will be fairly quiet at weekends. Recommended.

Great location, beautiful building. Across the street from Burger and lobster and Jaime Oliver's restaurant, and a 1 minute walk to Bank tube station, and a quick walk to London bridge/borough market area. It is a bit quieter at night here, but very easy to get to the other areas of London.

Great hotel in a very convenient location within the financial district. The restaurant is fantastic for both breakfast and dinner. The bar is perfect for a quick drink with a good atmosphere.

Very sweet hotel and service. Room was fine but not exceptional, bed extremely comfortable which was a must and breakfast was tasty and healthy. I recommend this hotel if you want to stay in the heart of the city and experiment a genuine hotelier adventure.

Fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff were lovely, place clean and location perfect for our stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we felt very looked after by everyone there. We will definitely be back again for a stay when in London.

The place is beautiful, it used to be a bank. The staff is extremely attentive. The location was superb, for the most part we walked almost everywhere, if we were pressed for time, there are a few buses that run in front of the hotel and the closest tube station is 1 block away. We had a great time there. I would love to go back.

Great hotel and really helpful staff (Don). Hotel is at Bank so location may be a problem through you're a few minutes walk from the tube station. Alternatively, there are buses you can take. Room and service were great! :)

We booked in for afternoon tea. There was a problem with the kitchen. The amazing colleagues kept us informed and their service was amazing. Hardly their fault there was a blip. Despite the delay, I'd highly recommend this place. The afternoon tea was delicious.

Great, hotel. Would recommend. The desk staff got someone up at 1 AM to cook food for us when we asked if the kitchen was still open! We did feel bad, but the food was so good!

The room was gorgeous and the food in the restaurant was phenomenal! But those thing are not what will bring us back to this lovely hotel, it is the staff! From the moment we checked in to the time we checked out I felt welcomed and accommodated.

Good place to go for business meetings in the city located within walking distance of London Liverpool Street. Good coffee and service and have used a few times.

Very upscale hotel in the banking district. The staff is very polite and helpful. The rooms are quite accommodating but they do follow my pet peeve, they ask you to hang your towel if you'd like to reuse it but there's no hooks to hang it!

Fantastic hotel in the London bank area with great bar/restaurant. Comfortable rooms with great beds, loved it! The hotel is well connected with the central line to all you want to see in London. Perfect for business & weekend travel!

Threadneedles Autograph Collection is a great place to stay. Although I was only an overnight guest, I was very pleased. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I had a twin bed and it was very soft; a little on the small side. The location of the hotel is perfect. Very simple for travel and taxis. It's near the London bank, so all you have to say to taxi drives is by the bank. Metro is right there as well. Overall very pleased.

Just spent our tenth wedding anniversary here. Really nice, with petals on the bed, chocs, prosecco and so on. Breakfast is huge and really nice — didn't need lunch either day! rooms well presented. We had an afternoon tea which was really nice — way too much for both of us though!

Threadneedles is a solid, centrally located hotel that fits both the tourist and work traveler. I like this place a lot — — but It is not a five-star hotel. This is a nice place, but nothing about it is five star. Other than the location, there is nothing really special about the place. The biggest negative is that the front desk staff, whle being extremely pleasant, knows nothing about London or the surrounding area. So, they want to be helpful, but simply don't have the training or experience to actually be helpful. Tourist questions are met with blank stares and a quick attempt to Google the answer. Question: What's a good pub with English history we can walk to from the hotel? Answer: (Insert confused, pained look and Google search). As for the positives: rooms are clean, if a little cramped. The central lobby area is cool and the bar are is nice. The location is perfect, steps from the Bank Station of the Underground. The service is accommodating and pleasant. They have reciprocity at a gym two minutes away that is exceptional. As for negatives: while the service is friendly they are NOT knowledgeable and they are not local. They want to provide helpful London insight, but they either brand new to England or simply know nothing about the city and the surrounding area. Huge drawback.

Good rooms. Great bed and pillow. Good shower. Air con worked and was easy to control. Wifi was hit and miss All the other modcons — iron, kettle and Nesprrsso, no laundry on weekend Didn't have a meal Not central to business area (St James to St Pauls) so bit of a walk.

Loved the room, food and drinks. Location is perfect for my needs. Shower was a bit off, the design causes frequent puddles outside.

Great hotel if you want a quiet weekend in London as all of the surrounding shops are closed due to it being in the financial district. Hotel is lovely, we got upgraded to a suite which made the stay more relaxing.

Unique and fantastic niche hotel tucked away in the City with top end service.

Wonderful hotel, beautiful decor, and beds that feel like you're sleeping on a cloud. Great location if you want to be a stone's throw away from tourist attractions, but just far enough not to be in a high traffic area. If you wear a suit most weekdays, this is the hotel for you.

Posh, friendly, wonderful stay.

As a Marriott gold member I have visited a lot of hotels. While the rooms here were very nice. There were 3 glaring issues that would make me think again about staying here. 1. The Wi-Fi was awful. I was on a business trip and I could barely send email, let alone surf the internet. The Wi-Fi is also completely open for anyone to connect to, no password or security system. Nice work Threadneedle, it's 2016 not 2006. When I complained even the guy who came to the room couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi, result … nothing done. 2. The rooms do not have self controlled air conditioning. Apparently the controls allow you to change the centrally set temperature by +/ — 8 degrees. I can tell you now "hot" was not even close, in fact it was hotter with the system off! Unfortunately this is clearly not an isolated complaint as they have space heaters in the rooms, which are also laughably ineffectual. When mentioned management's excuse was London was going through a cold snap … I guess it's ok then that I'm shivering in my room trying to work. 3. This is more of a pet peeve, but Threadneedle for some reason feels the need to charge $6USD for a glass of water in the lobby. Silly me for assuming it was complimentary. Staff were nice, hotel was nicely finished. Just a shame about the crappy services mentioned above. The first 2 are deal breakers for me.

I can't say anything about actually staying at the hotel, but recently I had the experience of having guests of a company project staying here. Because they came from abroad we had to leave things at reception for be given to them on arrival. It appears that reception had a problem with this concept. No one speaks to each other, English is poor, and guests were not given their packs, nor were we given what was left at reception by guests on their departure. Clear lack of organisation and systems at this hotel.
