Yesterday was my 30th birthday, one to remember. My partner had arranged for us to stay at this “Inn” as she had reserved a special table at a restaurant local to the “Inn”. We arrived to find the room had not been cleaned properly, there were stains on all of the bed sheets, resembling bodily fluids. The window facing the main road was broken to the point of leaving a large hole, there were remains (picture omitted) left in the toilet. The carpet was filthy, there were stains up the side of the bed. The unit holding the hairdryer to the wall was completely decrepit and unsightly. The walls were stained, covered in scuff marks. The ceiling was stained and had peeling paint from what resembled water damage. As well as all of this, my partner paid for a double suite room. The room we were presented with was incredibly small and had two beds in it rather than the advertised double bed. We had to leave after being in there 20 minutes as this upset my partner and myself. We had travelled for over an hour, just to have to go home. We spoke with the agency who handled our booking who advised us that to get a refund we would need to speak to the staff at the front desk. We did this and were met with hostility, lies and rejection. We have also spoken with the “manager” who has done nothing but belittle our concerns and refuse our refund, stating “pictures don’t do justice” and that “even 5 star hotel are dirty”.
